Loft-style dacha from an old barn: an example in Poland. We decorate the interior of the house in the style of "loft" Distinctive features of the premises in the style of the loft

Thinking through the design and decoration of the house, many owners today are faced with huge selection options. Having a lot of ideas and styles really makes you break your head, and there is often not enough money to realize the desired result. In this case, designers recommend preferring the “well-forgotten old”, which is rapidly returning to fashion again.

Great choice will be the interior design of the house in the loft style.

Features and characteristics

It cannot be said that the loft is an absolute novelty in the world of interior design. This style originated in America back in the distant 50s. The lack of premises and new buildings forced the creative part of the population to equip their studios right in the attic or in industrial buildings. In order to somehow give the room a residential look, the owners went to all sorts of tricks, acquiring beautiful furniture and decorations. It was this incredible combination that gave rise to a new direction, which is recognized as one of the most fashionable today.

Loft style is a combination of negligence and fine taste, allowing you to think through to the smallest detail how the house will look like. Distinctive features directions are primarily large spaces and clear geometric shapes. You won't find many here. doorways and partitions, because the hallmark of the "loft" is space and freedom. Additionally, it is worth noting big windows allowing natural light to flood the room.

Design Vacation home loft style - perfect solution for creative and unusual personality. However, professionals recommend that you immediately pay attention to all the subtleties and think in advance about the location of various zones in your future home. It would also be useful to take into account the size of the house - with right approach it will look spectacular and one-story a private house, and a two-story small cottage.

Implying an abundance of space, the loft style will be appropriate in the original mini-houses, which confidently occupy their niche in the real estate market. Such premises are also called "domillons", and sometimes they have 1.5 floors. Thanks to practical layout, all areas of such a house can be used as efficiently as possible if you decorate it in a loft style. Choose simple shapes without overloading the facade of the house with unnecessary details.

frame houses also good for experimentation. Firstly, such a house is being built very quickly, and its construction does not hit the wallet. Secondly, when attracting a good specialist the house will stand for a long time and will please the owner with durability. It is worth considering that it will be impossible to redesign it, therefore, if you decide to design a loft-style home, interior layout needs to be done right away. A good idea would be a frame country house, perfectly adapted for recreation at any time of the year.

small wooden buildings perfectly convey the characteristic features of the direction. Logs can be used to decorate the outer part, because a slightly rough and uncouth look, coupled with the correctness of the lines, instantly attracts attention. The same can be said about the premises made in the "eco-soft" trend. High ceilings, spacious inner space, the possibility of completing the second floor will be able to satisfy even the most demanding owners.

interior decoration

Making a house inside on your own is not a problem, and it is not necessary to resort to the help of a designer. First of all, attention should be paid efficient zoning space so that each room is as functional as possible. It must be remembered that when choosing the loft style, it is impossible to equip only one room in accordance with this trend.

Bedroom

To this day, disputes do not subside, how exactly to decorate the ceiling of the bedroom. Some designers offer beveled, uneven ceilings to enhance the resemblance to attic space. Others like the high, flat top in cool grays or metallics. Both of these options look quite original, and each of them emphasizes the spirit of the direction. As for the walls, choose textures with artificial wear or decorative tiles"under the brick".

The floor in the bedroom should also meet the style standards. It will look good rough parquet board, gray laminate, parquet in the color of wet asphalt. Having opted for wood flooring, keep in mind that it should look like it has grown old for a long time, but later it was in the hands of an experienced craftsman.

The bed is the main component of the bedroom, and there is nothing wrong with getting a slightly frilly model. It is desirable to buy a coverlet dark, without drawings and decorative elements. Bedside tables can be placed next to the bed, which, with their simplicity, will create a bright contrast with the sleeping place. Be sure to take care of the lighting - a few wall lamps or a cozy floor lamp will be just in place. Complement the interior Modular pictures with abstract images and a few small rugs with patterns.

In the interior of the bedroom, mirror and chrome surfaces will look good. It can be an original wardrobe with mirrored doors or a metal table. Enough interesting idea will be the separation of the bedroom from the living room with a glass partition. Also, do not forget about the importance of natural light - put large windows that will not need curtains and curtains.

Kitchen

Country private houses are simply impossible to imagine without stylish kitchen. Its design should be practical and at the same time avant-garde. The direction of the loft does not imply the layout of the kitchen as a separate room, the bar counter separating the kitchen and the living room looks much more impressive. A lot of space for culinary experiments is not allotted, since in this style the kitchen serves only as an "island" where you can quickly cook food. However, it is worth approaching its design wisely.

It is best to use red brick for wall decoration in the kitchen area. This will subsequently create a unique contrast with iridescent silver and chrome surfaces and appliances. Dishes should be modern and sparkling. The same goes for the stove and refrigerator.

The style concept will not be broken if you choose wood over brick. wooden walls or surfaces need to be combined with the most fashion news appliances and cutlery. A beautiful addition to such a kitchen will be glass and chrome elements. The table can be selected both from wood and glass, and the chairs can be matched to it in style. Strict will look good flower pots, ultra-modern sconces, small modular paintings, blinds.

Children's

Often, many associate a loft with brick and concrete elements, but it should be noted right away that in the children's room, warmer tones will look more advantageous:

  • The basic component can be the standard painting of the walls in white, beige and pastel colors. This will help visually expand the room and give it a light and airy look.
  • Be sure to take care of bright accents: bedspread, rug, plaid, toys, paintings and photographs.
  • Boys may like reds, browns, grays and blue tones, and for girls it is better to choose crimson, turquoise, pink, bright yellow colors.

The bed is another important element of the children's room. Most original version- frame or made of " metal pipes» model. Such products are equally well suited for both boys and girls. If there are two children in the room, a loft bunk bed that meets style standards is an excellent choice. Bedding will dilute the decor if you get warm yellow, ivory, or pinkish models.

Speaking of lighting, you should immediately pay attention to the fact that many children do not like bright, blinding light.

  • Soft classic lamps or minimalist chandeliers are suitable for the loft style.
  • Look beautiful hanging chandeliers on chains with crystal pendants, as well as with built-in fans.
  • You can complement the room with cozy floor lamps or wall sconces.

Do not forget about sufficient lighting of the play and study areas. Unusual design easy to achieve by placing large luminous letters or stars on the walls.

As for the decor of the room, here the fantasy of interior designers has gone far ahead. Almost everything is appropriate, from vintage posters to decorative bicycles, treasure chests and hanging swing in play area. good option will add retro elements to the overall style of the room, for example, posters or collectible cars. Creative children will be very happy with large easels for drawing.

Hallway

The loft style itself does not include the concept of a hallway, since a solid and voluminous space is a characteristic feature of the style. However, in modern apartment not to do without a place where you can leave your shoes or outerwear, so you need to equip a small corner for these purposes. It is best to decorate the hallway in light colors to make it look bigger. But accessories can be of various shades.

The most common are:

  • Red.
  • Silvery.
  • Blue.
  • Brown.
  • Dark grey.

Choose lamps for lighting daylight. Ceiling spotlights will also look good.

Brickwork is one of the foundations of the loft style and will be a terrific option for hallways. different sizes. If it is not possible to make real masonry, you can replace it with tiles or wallpaper of a similar design. An abundance of mirrors will also help to visually enlarge the space, for example, it is appropriate to make one wall completely mirrored. standard color ceiling - white or light gray, and it should look like it has just been completed. A plasterboard false ceiling is also suitable.

Thanks to the openness and space of the loft direction, buying a massive and spacious wardrobe- not best idea. You will have to store things and household supplies elsewhere, but the abundance open shelves and hangers will be very handy. original solution there will be a shelf under the ceiling, reminiscent of the well-known luggage places on trains. You can place shoes on the floor or on open shelves. And for its storage, special bedside tables are used, which in design resemble large cardboard boxes.

Of the accessories, first of all, you should take care of the mirror. This element can be of any shape: with a wide decorative frame or completely without it. Illuminated mirrors are a good idea. Choose the rest of the accessories so that guests can plunge into the industrial era. Signs with the inscription "exit", red arrows, emergency lights, a bicycle in the form of a hanger - all this will help emphasize the uniqueness of the style.

Also in demand for construction aerated concrete blocks and brick.

Facade of a loft-style house: photo demonstration

The facade of the house is a clear proof of the taste, lifestyle of the owners and their commitment to certain style. What would the façade look like? country house made in the loft style? This is usually a simple, even careless or rough wall decoration, a roof in gray or brown tones, the use of plastic, composite panels, large glazing surface - windows almost the entire wall, reminiscent of scales window openings production building. Sometimes in the projects of loft-style houses in the photo they use mirror panels reflecting light. And it's minimalism and naturalness in color design building.

Fabulous transformation: a loft-style house and its photo

As mentioned above, the loft style refers to the former converted into a residential building. industrial premises. In our case, the architectural and construction company of Ilya Eliseev worked on the transformation of the building of the former dining camp site into a residential building in the loft style "Ignatiev House".

The style hints that even a completely redone room should not lose a reminder of its past. Therefore, the facade is designed in such a way that concrete walls, built back in the Soviet era, are combined with modern composite panels.

Loft is related to minimalism, they are united by clarity geometric shapes, using the construction flat roof, industrial modern materials, the presence of large windows. This can be seen by comparing the facades of loft-style houses with a photo country cottages, which are built using the style of minimalism.

Projects of houses and cottages in the loft style: materials

Loft is considered a fairly democratic style. The construction of houses in this direction involves the use of a variety of materials and modern technologies. However, the most popular and used materials in loft-style cottage projects are concrete, different kinds bricks, glass, metal, plastic. The use of wood is not excluded.

Who chooses loft-style cottage projects

Loft is considered to be a bohemian style and respectable businessmen. And this is not far from the truth. However, today the projects of houses and cottages in the loft style are chosen not only creative personalities, but also young people who make successful careers, and even families with children. The unifying space of the house allows busy parents, without looking up from everyday vanity, to constantly watch their children.

Loft style houses are popular

The loft style was born from the development of industrial culture and became established as a popular trend in architecture. External simplicity, a single space, an abundance of light and volume, inherent in the style, conquered our compatriots. Architects construction company Ilya Eliseeva are among the fans of this trend and create loft-style houses, photos of which you can see in the portfolio.

Having bought one-room studio apartment in a new building, a Minsker named Andrei could not resist the temptation to create an interior in the now fashionable loft style. The crisis made its own adjustments to his plans: he had to abandon the services of professionals, look for places where building materials are cheaper, and even make furniture and lamps with his own hands. The eyes were afraid, but the hands did. It turned out stylish and unusual, and managed to save about $ 7.5 thousand in equivalent ...

A couple of years ago I bought a "odnushka" at the construction stage. The deadline for putting the house into operation was postponed by as much as a year and a half, which, however, slightly upset me, since with the onset of the next crisis, it became even more difficult to earn money for finishing the apartment. But, having a layout and some experience in design, I began to design the interior and at the same time earn money for the budget of the upcoming event.

Divided the corridor - got a bedroom

I can’t remember how, but I wanted to make an apartment in the loft style. I studied interior photos on design websites for a long time. Notice what you like and what you don't. Loft involves a large space, high ceilings and windows from the floor. Unfortunately, high ceilings and windows from the floor - this is not about my new building. And there are not so many places in the "odnushka". To compensate for these shortcomings, we had to add elements scandinavian style- for example, a lot of white color that expands the space.

One interesting desire was the opportunity to have separate bedroom in one-room apartment. Initially thought to fence off the bed glass partitions, but this sleeping place still ate up a lot of space. The exit was found unexpectedly. The corridor in the apartment was comparable in area to private room. Properly dividing it, we managed to get a separate small room for the bedroom and still quite spacious hallway. Since I am an engineer by training, I began to draw first 2D and then 3D interior design projects. The project ended up looking like this:

Of course, this project is in progress. finishing works has undergone some changes. But I already roughly understood what I needed, and began to think about where to get it and how to save money.

Looking ahead, I will say that I bought all the materials, tools, and so on from importers or manufacturers, and, as a rule, even at wholesale prices. When you compare it with the prices in the market, your hair stands on end. The margin at some sellers reached 300%! Of course, I understand that everyone wants to eat, but this is arrogance. In some markets, it seemed to me, we have no competition at all. If there are 5-10 points of sale, for example, Armatura mixers, then all these stores belong to one owner. Accordingly, he sets the price he wants.

I managed to save about $ 2.5 thousand in equivalent on materials alone, bought not in the first place that came across. Of course, this saving was worth the time and effort. But the result pleased.

When the apartment was completed, it was possible to start finishing. Initially, I did not plan to do something myself. I think everyone should mind their own business. If you are a builder, then you must build, if you are a travel agent, organize recreation for people. But the situation in a crisis is such that the builder begins to think: “I’ll buy the tickets myself and go on vacation as a savage.” As a result, the travel agent, having not received income, thinks about how he can make repairs on his own. Such a vicious circle is obtained.

You hire craftsmen - you multiply all estimates by two?

Having made an estimate of the work and estimating that the money earned during the completion of the house should be enough, I started finishing with the involvement of builders. I started, of course, with the wiring of plumbing and the bathroom as a whole. Upon completion of these works, I realized that all estimates can be safely multiplied by at least two. In practice, builders will find what to do with themselves and what to take more money for. And in my case, this happened already after the work was done. From that moment on, I realized that no one would do better than myself (and in financial plan, and in terms of quality). Fortunately, I was able to afford to take a vacation for two months.

The electrical wiring was helped by friends who are associated with electrical work. I wanted to think through everything thoroughly so that there were enough sockets when various options I had a lot of ideas about the arrangement of furniture, and about the light at the stage of design development. As a result, I got more than 60 points, which is a lot for a "odnushka". It can be called a mistake that I decided to partially leave my native wiring. It turned out to be unprofitable in terms of time and effort. The cables in the wall were cut several times, as the diagrams received from the developer indicated a completely different location.

The savings on the work of an electrician amounted to about $ 500 at average market prices.

The next step was the decoration of the walls. According to the project, all walls from floor to ceiling were to be laid out decorative stone under natural brick. Analysis of prices in the service market determined average cost bricklaying work at $20 per meter. A significant expense item, since the area of \u200b\u200bthe walls is 90 "squares".

All masters described this work as extremely difficult because of the stitching. As it turned out later, this is not true. I did not rush right off the bat: the stone is too expensive to ruin everything. He invited familiar builders, and they laid the first batch of stone. And I watched them and studied the technology. In appearance - nothing complicated. In the future, I decided to continue laying on my own. I would like to point out that previously construction work I didn’t do it, except that I made something out of wood. Having bought the missing tool (a mixer nozzle and a couple of spatulas), I set to work. At first, the eyes were afraid, but the hands did.

For all the components for this chandelier, I gave $ 70. Many acquaintances looked and said that they would have done this with ease. In response, I just smiled. Now I already have experience, but during the manufacturing process I did not know how to implement some points, I was looking for solutions. Yes, and I hung it, I remember, until five in the morning. I fixed it, she worked for 15 minutes and began to wheeze. Then for two days I figured out what was the matter. Separately, it didn’t take long, but as soon as I collected three segments together, it started. Until I completely reassembled it, it did not work.

In the dining area, I made a chandelier in a more loft style: metal carcass, wood, metal grid, linen burlap. The chandelier was hung on a metal cable with the ability to adjust the height. It installed four ordinary led light bulbs. I have not even seen such chandeliers for sale, so I find it difficult to say how much it can cost. Accessories cost about $17.

Appeared in America at the beginning of the 20th century, and today it is popular all over the world. The fact is that this style has its undeniable advantages. Let's find out which ones.

Loft style house interior

This style was shaped by the use industrial premises(factories, manufactories and warehouses) for creative studios, where their owners lived. Previously, such housing was cheap, and it was often purchased by artists, actors and other representatives of bohemia. But an ordinary private house can also be decorated in a loft style. To do this, it is necessary to adhere to its basic principles - maximum freedom and light and a minimum of partitions. This suggests large panoramic windows, free planning, simple, functional furniture and in some ways even an ascetic environment. In such a studio apartment you can see the natural brickwork or its imitation, nothing closed pipes heating. Used as wall decoration ordinary plaster, and the floor can be plank. Besides, feature loft is a mixture of styles - the so-called eclecticism. Here, an old English cabinet with bent legs can be adjacent to a high-tech glass or metal table.

Decoration of facades of houses

Also decorated in a loft style. This is due to the fact that in most cities of our country there is simply no such category of real estate as a loft, which does not detract from the desire of many people to have such housing. Therefore, the owners of suburban brick and even wooden houses often decorated in the loft style not only interior decoration but also the façade.

It's quite simple: brutal wall decoration, gray or brown roof, a lot of glass and plastic will create the necessary atmosphere inner freedom, which is so typical for loft-style houses.

And for starters, a little financial sketch.
In finishing stores, I found tiles for at least 405 rubles. per square meter. And she is not very, some kind of small, not very natural in appearance.
And that tile, which at least 70% satisfies my taste, costs around 700 rubles. per metre. And then it is so too "new", but I wanted to achieve the effect old wall.
Plus, you need to consider that laying tiles by a master will cost at least 500 rubles per meter. Plus glue, I have no idea how much it costs.
Total runs from 1200 rubles. per square - this is the minimum (with the desired design)! And my need for this finish is about 15 m.

In addition, the thickness of the finished tile + glue does not satisfy me at all, it is too large for my conditions.

In general, I had already abandoned the idea of making such a decor, when all of a sudden!
Suddenly the idea came to do it yourself, by hand, to do miracles with your own hands, but in such a way that the process was as simple and pleasant as possible, and the effect was the most desired.

So the whole creative process: design, preparation of tools, implementation.

1. Search for an image on the Internet

I chose this photo of the wall. I liked its texture, jagged lines, old age and wear, a kind of not a raid of time, but time itself.

2. Stencil preparation

I placed this picture in corel draw, circled the fragment.
To be honest, I spent about a day (along with other things) making a matching pattern and also calculating the size of the future stencil that I needed and convenient for me.

3. Making a stencil

I ordered the production of a PET stencil in an advertising production. PET is the material that is used to make plastic bottles. Any products are made from a PET sheet by means of laser (or milling) cutting according to a vector file.
Here's what happened. I made two of these, slightly different in design and size.
And this was the first material waste in the amount of 670 rubles.

4. Purchase of materials

The second and last material cost is the purchase of gypsum putty about 500 rubles. per bag 20 kg. I had enough of this bag for 6.5 square meters. Those. need two more. Total issue price for 15 meters brick wall 500*3+670=2170. Well, let's add masking tape here for auxiliary work, so be it.

More than two thousand issue price against from 18,000 rubles. There is a difference?
All right, all right, let's increase the cost by the price of the paint, I'll just paint it matte white.
Although I still planned to paint the wall tiled and the wall without tiles in White color so these costs do not count.

5. Manufacturing process

a) Attach the stencil to the prepared surface with masking tape. It is advisable to use the level like a real bricklayer :)
The surface is prepared as desired.
In my case, the wall is leveled with putty, because. I didn't originally plan to do this. But, in order to achieve the effect of the naturalness of the seams and the curvature of the old wall, it is better not to level it at all, but only soak it well with a primer. Thus, the word "achieve" is completely inappropriate here)).
So, depending on the desired effect, the wall needs to be leveled or curved to the extent that you wish.

b) Dilute a little putty to a state of thick sour cream.
Here you will have to experimentally select the amount of the mixture and water, you need to somehow count, estimate, remember. I diluted the mixture in a small bucket and mixed with regular kitchen mixer. In a volume of about two liters of the mixture per 0.3 m square area(this is the area of my stencil).

in) Apply an even layer of mortar on the wall over the stencil with a spatula.
It is convenient to use two spatulas, large and small, it is somewhat similar to working with a brush and a palette.

G) Flatten artistically. That is, not really bothering, because it will be an old brick "in a light haze of past centuries."
Here the task is to make a layer with a thickness of 3 to 8-10 mm, and even leaving uneven streaks.
You can make completely dents, potholes, there is no limit to fantasy.

e) Carefully remove the stencil. Put it on a clean surface (for example, the floor) and collect the remaining solution with a spatula, it will still come in handy.

e) Carefully consider the resulting bricks and adjust the thickness with a spatula and the remains of the mortar according to your desire and taste.

and) Carefully “tread down” irregularities with a wet sponge, correct the surface of the bricks.

This process can, and sometimes needs to be repeated when the solution sets and hardens a little.

h) To avoid the effect of gypsum blotches on flat wall, you can dilute the solution to "liquid sour cream" and paint over the wall with an ordinary brush, giving Special attention brick contours. This is when all the forms are already dry.

I) If desired, you can grind the bricks with sandpaper.

At this stage, I get this wall.
I will trim it, adjust it to my inner "enough", and then paint it in a matte white ordinary acrylic paint for facades and interiors, the most resistant to dirt and washing.
Actions h) and i) have not yet been applied in these photos. The seams need to be curved, the joints to be covered up, but the picture as a whole is clear.
