Dismantling

So that in the future there are no problems with installing a new canvas, it is important to correctly approach the removal of the previous one. Carry out all dismantling work carefully, strictly following the instructions:

1. A perforator on the sides of the block and along the entire length of the slope knock out a niche about 10 centimeters deep.
2. The old canvas is knocked out with a hammer, sharply lifted and removed from the niche.
3. Clear the space under the window building dust and excess trash.

Do not rush to throw away the old canvas, because it can serve as a template. According to it, the necessary measurements are made in the case when it is planned to install a similar design.

How to install new block from plastic in place of the old one:

1. Fit new block to size window opening. To do this, the old canvas is used as a template, a new product is cut out on it. From the ends and slopes after necessary measurements you need to cut out all the excess.
2. Before installation, treat the entire surface with an antiseptic to create additional protection against moisture.
3. In the case when the dimensions of the mounted window sill block differ from the previous ones, a cement screed is made to level the surfaces.
4. All cracks in adjacent wall openings must be sealed with putty or cement.
5. Using sealant, remove all voids at the points of contact of the new window sill block with the window opening.
6. For convenience, install the support using small bars, lay on it plastic sheet. Align the block with a level so that it is exactly horizontal.
7. Place the load on the slab, then fill all the voids with mounting foam. Do not forget about the inner edge under the canvas and about removing excess foam that will protrude beyond the edges of the entire structure. If cement is used for filling, then in the future it will be necessary to grind all the irregularities with sandpaper.
8. Leave the structure for a day so that the mounting foam or cement mortar can harden properly.
9. After 24 hours, check the correctness of the entire installation, remove the protective film from the surface of the leaf.
10. Paint or plaster slopes.

It is better to make a ledge from the window small - 6–8 centimeters, so as not to impede the flow of heat from the radiator.

When replacing plastic product use the following best practices:

• Before installation, it is necessary to moisten the back side of the canvas and the base of the cement screed of the window opening well with water using a sprayer. This will speed up the polymerization process of the mounting foam.
• Fill in the voids large quantity foam should not be. It is better to foam the space with stripes, making gaps between them. In this way, you can save mounting foam and avoid undermining the entire installation when the foam swells over time.
• It is better to treat the surface under the new canvas with an antiseptic agent - this will take a little time, but in the future it will protect the structure from moisture.
