Do-it-yourself furniture conductor drawings with dimensions. Jigs for dowel or angled holes Drilling jigs kwb

In the manufacture of cabinet furniture, it becomes necessary to be able to accurately and quickly drill into the end of parts. As a rule, this need is due to the use of euro screws (confirmants), in which holes with diameters of 4.5-5.0 mm are drilled into the end of the parts (depending on the density of the plate) to a depth of 35-55 mm (depending on the length of the euro screws).

Of course, for such purposes there are special drilling and welding machines, but they are not easily accessible to private furniture makers or small organizations due to their high price, plus to this, the machines are not convenient due solely to stationary use. To simplify the work of a furniture maker, conductors were invented - small devices for precise drilling with a conventional hand-held electric drill. Today there are several manufacturers on the market, paying no low price, you can buy a ready-made conductor. This article will discuss how a good home-made jig can be made from improvised and easily accessible material in a couple of hours.We use ball bearings as guide bushings. The bearings are made of durable steel and will last a long time. In order for the drill to be well oriented in the jig, two bearings are used for each working distance (bearings are arranged coaxially one under the other).

To make a conductor (for three working fixed distances), we need:

  1. A piece of MDF board 16mm thick.
  2. A piece of MDF board 10mm thick.
  3. Six pieces (a pair for each working distance) of any ball bearings with an inner diameter of 5.0 mm, an outer diameter of not more than 16 mm. The height of the bearing should be as small as possible and no more than 8mm.
  4. A dozen self-tapping screws 4x25 mm.
  5. Glue PVA, "Superglue".
  6. Futorka furniture with internal thread M6 (see photo).
  7. Screw M6x50. Nut M6. Washer Grover 6mm.

Manufacture of the body of the conductor.

First, you need to make the case itself. There is no need to explain anything in particular about the case, everything is elementary. The cross section of the body is the letter "P" with one end (closed) wall. This wall will be used as a stop, will set the zero point, the starting point for drilling. When drilling, the stop is pressed against the end of the part. Main dimensions:

  • The external size of the conductor is arbitrary.
  • The upper part, in which the bearings will be planted, is made of 16mm MDF, the rest of the parts are 10mm MDF.
  • The distance between the two sidewalls (where the workpiece will be placed) is16.5mm whatcorresponds to the actual thickness of the plate plus a small gap for ease of installation and removal of the conductor.
  • The distances between the centers of the bearings and the stop: 50, 70, 100 mm, are the most common in furniture practice.

To assemble the housing, it is necessary to accurately cut out all four parts (top, two side and one end), measurements are recommended to be performed with a caliper. Further, holes for self-tapping screws are marked and drilled, which will fasten all the parts together. The body is assembled with PVA glue.

The distance between the side walls of the conductor is 16.5 mm (for laminated chipboard with a nominal thickness of 16 mm).

Fitting bearings.

After the glue dries, we proceed to marking and punching the holes for the bearings. We try to be very accurate in this operation! To drill holes for the bearings, we need either a drill fixed in the rack. Run precise drilling by hand is very difficult, but, with a certain skill, it is possible. We mark the centers of the bearings with a pencil, kernim. By punching, we drill three through holes with a diameter of 2 mm. We clamp a feather drill (punch) into the drill chuck, the diameter of the punch should be equal to the outer diameter of the bearings. We drill two blind (non-through) holes for each bearing on each side of the previously drilled through hole. The drilling depth of the punch (the penetration depth of the central pin is not taken into account) should be approximately 1 mm greater than the height of the bearing. As a result, we should get six mounting holes(three on each side) for bearings. You can try to insert bearings in seats, the bearings should enter freely, but without noticeable play. After fitting, you need to lubricate the outside of each bearing with glue and put it all the way in its place. If "Superglue" is used (it absorbs and dries quickly), then this operation is performed using a rubber mallet.

Making an adjustable stop.

To be able to drill at any arbitrary distance from the stop (not only 50, 70, 100 mm), it is necessary to supplement the jig with a simple adjustable stop - a long screw. Drilling in the center of the end stop through hole with a diameter of 0.5 mm less than the outer diameter of the furniture fitting (see photo). We twist the futorka. We screw a long screw into the futorka, not forgetting to first screw the nut onto the screw and put on the Grover washer. Now, by changing the depth of the screw, you can set any drilling distance from 0 to 100 mm.

Drill out. This maximum depth can be drilled.The length of the drill used and the depth of its fastening in the drill chuck should be selected taking into account the thickness of the conductor (that is, almost the total height of the two bearings).

If desired, the surface of the conductor can be sanded with fine sandpaper, primed and painted (for example, spray enamel). Practice has shown that the accuracy of drilling with a jig is no worse than +/-0.5 mm and largely depends on how much the actual thickness was made (plateschipboard) differs from the calculated thickness. In any case, an error of a maximum of half a millimeter is not critical for end-to-end drilling in the manufacture of cabinet furniture.

A jig for drilling holes with your own hands will not be a reliable solution, but it will be beneficial in financial plan. If possible, it is better to buy it in special shops for furniture making tools.

According to the statistics of furniture manufacturers, most of the time is taken by marking, harvesting and making holes. For this reason, the furniture assembly jig becomes a very important element.

The importance of using conductors

In order not to resort to manual measurements and sketches, a special device was invented - a jig for drilling holes. Its use allows you to hold the drill at an angle of 90 degrees to the furniture, which eliminates deviations from the required direction. When making deep holes, the result of using this device becomes especially noticeable.

Jig for drilling holes in chipboard High Quality must have the following qualities:

  • be useful for fast furniture assembly without the use of complex tools;
  • provide the ability to simultaneously make several holes, excluding manual marking;
  • improve drilling quality.

The material for the jig for drilling holes is different. Among tools made of plastic or organic glass, the steel version stands out.

It has such advantages as:

  • less susceptibility to deformation;
  • exact direction of the drill;
  • does not heat up during operation.

Very popular among home craftsmen is the conductor for assembling furniture with their own hands. To make it at home, you will need a large number of tools.

Experts recommend fixing this device with the help of dowels. In the manufacture wooden furniture only these elements are allowed to be used together with glue. In any case, a home-made jig for drilling holes is very useful in practice, and without it it will be difficult to carry out assembly work.

The process of drilling holes for conformation and dowels looks quite laborious. The reliability and appearance of the manufactured furniture will depend on the quality of its implementation.

A do-it-yourself furniture jig for drilling holes will help improve the quality of the holes made. Without their use, errors in manual marking cannot be avoided.

There are many different conductors from various manufacturers. Among them, there are such specialized options as a jig for drilling holes at an angle. Not less than interesting option can become a jig for drilling end holes.

All this diversity allows us to simplify the set complex operations that may occur in the manufacture of furniture. With their use, marking and drilling holes of any complexity on doors, on tiles, when assembling furniture can become a very simple task.

However, tools of this level are quite expensive, which causes the popular question: “How to make a jig for drilling holes yourself?”. It's easy to do and almost anyone can do it.

The process of self-manufacturing conductors for drilling

In principle, the jig for the holes can be made from improvised materials. First you need to calculate the folding conductor for drilling holes with your own hands. The next step is to work on the drawing. A furniture jig template for drilling holes can help solve this problem. You can find one on the Internet or from repair specialists.

A detailed description of all stages of manufacturing furniture conductors can be found on special videos in the Internet. But still important point remains to be done correct drawing conductor for furniture assembly. In each case, it can be different and you need to take into account all the features.

Do-it-yourself jig drawings for drilling holes may not have the required accuracy. For this reason, there is a need for additional verification during the manufacture itself. It is also important to be extremely accurate and accurate, otherwise the manufactured tool will not bring any benefit and can only aggravate the process of furniture production.

The variety is very large, so you can hear the following question from novice furniture makers: "How to make a jig for drilling pocket holes with your own hands." One of the secrets in the manufacture can be the use of metal bushings. This approach will extend the life of the conductor and make it a more reliable tool.

It is possible to accurately and accurately make holes in products made from natural wood, chipboard, MDF, metal and other materials. convenient fixture like a conductor. Such a device, in particular, is actively used by specialists involved in the production of furniture. At the same time, the conductor can be either purchased in serial execution or made by hand.

Design features and types

The jig, in fact, is a template for drilling holes, allowing them to be made as accurately as possible. It is also used to create holes, the axis of which is perpendicular to the surface of the part, and for drilling at an angle.

Due to their versatility and simplicity, drilling jigs are actively used in various fields. In particular, in the engineering industry, they have been successfully used for drilling holes in workpieces for a long time. different configuration and made from different materials. It is impossible to work without a conductor and in furniture production, where such a device is actively used when assembling furniture, installing accessories on it and performing a number of other technological operations. Construction is another area where conductors find wide application. With their help, in particular, drilling holes in building structures. Jigs are also needed for drilling pipes and other tasks.

As a furniture conductor, overhead models made of lightweight materials are most often used to make it more convenient to manipulate them. You can purchase such devices in the factory version or make furniture conductor with your own hands. Qualified furniture makers may not use a jig to drill a hole in furniture construction elements with high quality and accuracy, but for this they must have extensive experience in their field.

The most significant advantage of the jig is that with its help, high-quality and accurate drilling, both perpendicular to the surface of the part, and inclined hole can be performed even by a person who does not have high qualifications. The use of conductors eliminates the need for complex preliminary calculations and marking the locations of future holes, which reduces the complexity of assembling the furniture structure and allows you to perform such work in a shorter period of time. Even a novice specialist can understand the use of a jig for drilling under dowels and for solving other technological problems.

Before you purchase or make your own homemade jig, determine what tasks you need to use it for, and based on this data, select its type and design.

Among the conductors for drilling holes by type of construction and functionality a number of categories can be distinguished.
Overhead

These conductors are called so because they are applied to the workpiece and fixed on it, or simply fixed by hand. By means of conductors of this type, in particular, drilling holes in chipboard, MDF boards and other flat parts.

Swivel

Such templates can be used to make holes on cylindrical parts. Conductors of this type are equipped with vertical and horizontal axes of rotation, which makes it possible to perform holes with their help at various angles.

Universal

These are fixtures that are especially relevant for small batch production, where the ability to quickly change over the equipment used is important. The conductor of this type is just endowed with such functions.

Tiltable

These hole-drilling tools are required when such technological operation have to be done on multiple levels.

Sliding and fixed

The sliding jig, in full accordance with its name, does not require fixing: it is simply applied to that part of the surface of the part where the hole needs to be drilled. Fixed jig devices, although they are more convenient, somewhat limit the freedom of action of a specialist, which is especially critical when performing drilling work on machines equipped with only one spindle.

Areas of use

Furniture conductors and templates are devices that are practically indispensable when assembling furniture structures. The use of jigs avoids the main problem that occurs when drilling holes - the drill enters the workpiece at the wrong angle. Correcting this error takes a lot of time and effort, and it is not always possible to fix it at all. The jig used for drilling holes not only allows the drill to be correctly oriented at the machining site, but also prevents the tool from going astray.

Devices such as furniture jigs and templates are used both in the manufacture and assembly of furniture, when it is necessary to make holes in the elements to be joined to accommodate fasteners. In such cases, a jig for dowels or a jig for drilling for confirmation is often used, without which to perform quality holes under fasteners is not possible. Such a device is indispensable in cases where it is required to make holes, including at an angle, in thin slabs (in particular, when making holes in chipboard or MDF).

When using a jig for drilling holes, the process of assembling furniture is simple and fast. Using such a device, holes can be drilled at any distance from the edge of the part, regardless of its width.

AT modern furniture dowels are actively used, which at the same time are quite an outdated fastener. That is why the jig for dowels (doweling jig) is used in the production of furniture structures. The main difficulty when using such fasteners is that the axes of the holes made in the parts to be joined have a right angle between them. Accordingly, such holes should be located strictly perpendicular to each other. Without the use of such a device as a jig for dowels, it is difficult to perform them.

Furniture production is not the only area in which conductors are used for drilling holes. Templates are no less often used in order to drill a hole in a pipe and other parts that have cylindrical shape. Conductors allow you to make high-quality holes even in pipes of small diameter.

The size and principle of operation of modern conductors can be different. Some of the models of such devices are much easier to buy, and some are easy to make with your own hands. In favor of making a furniture jig for drilling holes with your own hands, the fact that serial devices, especially for universal purposes, are not cheap, also speaks.

Homemade conductor devices

Conductors of the simplest design, for example, those that are used to drill holes for confirmation, are relatively inexpensive, so many craftsmen are not puzzled by their independent manufacture and purchase serial models. Meanwhile, there are those who are even simple devices trying to do it by hand. The question of how to make a jig for drilling with your own hands often appears and, if necessary, drill non-standard holes.

To independently make a jig for dowels or a simpler jig for confirmations, you can use the drawings and videos on the Internet.

For the manufacture of such a device, of course, its drawing is required. Need also minimum set tools and equipment:

  • electric or hand drill;
  • a set of locksmith tools;
  • Bulgarian;
  • welding machine(for the manufacture of conductor fixtures of a more complex design).

The simplest homemade jig can be made from improvised tools and materials that are available in abundance in most home workshops or garages. The use of materials such as pieces metal fittings, wooden blocks, metal plates, etc., allows you to significantly save on the purchase production model devices.

Making a homemade jig for a drill or a single-spindle machine takes place in several stages.

  1. Square reinforcement with a cross section of 10 by 10 mm, using a hacksaw for metal or a grinder, must be cut into pieces of the required length.
  2. The centers of the holes to be drilled through must be 8 mm from the edge of the jig plate. It is at this distance that the center of the chipboard or MDF board is located, in which a hole is drilled.
  3. The step between the holes on the conductor in accordance with generally accepted furniture standards is 32 mm, while the diameter of such holes should be 5 mm.
  4. If you equip a homemade jig with an emphasis, then using such a device will be much more convenient. To create such an emphasis, you need a metal plate 1 mm thick and 25 mm wide, which is bent at a right angle and fixed on a ready-made jig made of reinforcement.
  5. After structural elements homemade conductor fixed with a clamp, they must be securely connected to each other using threaded fasteners.

Very often, when repairing furniture or assembling it, it is necessary to accurately drill holes for the firmament, dowels and other fasteners. If drilling chipboard sheet, then with a simple drill it is almost impossible to do this, since the hole is broken and it is not always possible to make a right angle. Therefore, for such work, it is imperative to have a tool called a jig.

Classification of conductors

The main function of conductors is to ensure straightness in drilling wooden surfaces throughout the entire depth of the hole. Such fixtures in metal processing are used quite often and, as a rule, are supplied directly with the machine. In connection with the need to create such holes in the production of furniture in large quantities, such devices are in great demand among craftsmen.

There are such types of conductors:

If the conductor has sufficient rigidity, then it can be used not only on flat planes, but also for curved pipes, etc. In this case, it is fixed with a clamp. But in no case should it be used for mounting on wooden surfaces, as you can ruin the furniture. You can buy it in the store, as well as do it yourself.

The conductor is in fact a template for making holes, with which such work can be done with maximum accuracy. Due to the simplicity of the structure of the structure, they are often used not only in the areas of furniture production. In particular, they are actively used in the field of mechanical engineering for drilling holes in various blanks etc. Do not forget about the furniture industry, where such a device is used for a variety of needs when assembling furniture fittings.

Features of independent production

When designing a conductor for confirmation, it is necessary to correctly calculate what functions it will have to perform in the future. You need to do it under the most commonly used fasteners in the house. If such a device is required by furniture makers for permanent job, it is better to buy a factory sample, which is highly accurate. In addition, manufacturers often include additional fasteners, stops and templates in the kit.

The price of such a device for professional use ranges from 400 to 1100 rubles. It depends on the immediate capabilities of a particular unit, the number of holes being made, their length, and so on. Many are interested in how to make a furniture jig with your own hands. Dimensional drawings are a must for novice craftsmen, as they allow you to make a design with high quality on the first try. Similar schemes can be found on the Internet.

Basically, the conductor has the following elements:

  • Product base. It is directly applied to the plane of the furniture, on which holes will be drilled.
  • Guide bushings. A drill goes through them.
  • Parts for surface clamping. As a rule, they are located on the end of the conductor.

To start designing your own conductor, you need to choose the right corner. Better not do equal-shelf corner, since it will have much more opportunities, and choose the maximum thickness of the shelf.

Next, you need to take care of right direction bushings. It can be made from stainless pipe. The length of the sleeve must be at least twice as long as the hole in which it will be located on the corner. The bushing in the hole should sit with an interference fit. The simplest and most common option is a shaft fit. Under the already known diameter of the sleeve, a corresponding hole is drilled in the corner, and then a landing is made. It is recommended to use a low interference fit.

There are cases when the conductor needs to be made for drilling deep holes. Then the sleeve is made with a collar. The number of possible holes, their length and the distance between them is chosen according to the specific needs of each master.

Several options can be used to mount the device:

Design for confirmations and dowels

Furniture jig for drilling holes for dowel and confirmat - very necessary fixture for furniture makers. Especially if chipboard material is used.

For these purposes, two types of conductor are used:

  • Clamp-on dowel jig with multiple functions. The basis of this design is a corner made of thick aluminum. Since the fixture is quite long, there is an additional mount in the middle. When turning the corner ninety degrees, the increased thickness of the fixture helps a lot. The bushings on the structure are located at the distance most often used for confirmations and dowels in the manufacture of furniture.
  • A two-slider jig, which is used to make a hole in two parts fastened together. The design consists of two strips, which are connected by fasteners. It has several holes, so you can install devices at different widths.

Scope of use

Furniture conductors are devices that no furniture maker can do without in the process of work. Such devices avoid the main problem in the production of furniture, namely, the entry of the drill at the wrong angle. If you make such a mistake, then it is subsequently very difficult to correct or even impossible. Such a device not only makes it possible to correctly direct the drill during operation, but also allows the tool to constantly keep the desired trajectory (even, perpendicular or at an angle).

Such devices are used both in the design and manufacture of furniture, and in assembly, when there is a need to make holes for attaching elements to each other. Often, for such actions, conductors are used for confirmations or dowels, without which even holes cannot be made. Also, this device is indispensable if it is necessary to make holes at an angle or at the end of a thin plate (it is especially important to use the device when working with chipboard plates).

When drilling holes using this design, the process itself is quick and simple. Fasteners allow you to work at any distance from the edge of the plate, and also regardless of its width.

In the furniture industry, dowels are very often used as fasteners. But at the same time, this option has already existed for a long time, and their use requires the mandatory presence of a drilling jig during operation. The only condition and at the same time a problem is the fact that the parts to be connected to each other must have a right angle when working. Therefore, such elements must be located exactly perpendicular to each other. When making holes for dowels and adding parts, it will be very difficult to do without a jig.

Furniture production is not the only scope of such devices. Often they can be used to make holes in pipes and other rounded parts. Special devices allow you to make high-quality holes even in the smallest tubes.

The principle of their work and dimensions may be different. Some narrow-profile models are better to buy than to produce on your own. But, on the other hand, the price of such devices is not small, so this is a disadvantage when compared with home-made models.

How to DIY

Most simple designs are cheap, and professional furniture makers are not puzzled homemade production, and prefer to buy factory models. But there are also such masters who want to make such a device with their own hands.

For self-creation the conductor needs to use the drawings, of which there are a lot on the Internet. With your own hands, you can make simple designs for confirmations and more complex ones for dowels.

For production, you need to prepare a tool:

  • drill;
  • classic set of tools for a locksmith;
  • welding;
  • Bulgarian.

The simplest conductor can be made from improvised means, which are basically found in any household, in a workshop in a country house or garage. To create it, the simplest materials are suitable, such as reinforcement, metal sheets and wooden blocks, etc. They can significantly save money in the production of such a device.

The manufacture of such a device should be carried out in several stages:

In order to have little dust during operation, it is required to mount half plastic bottle. It will also collect dust.

The jig for drilling holes greatly facilitates the work of furniture makers and other professionals who, by the nature of their activities, have to make precise holes in wood, chipboard, MDF, metal and other materials.

What kind of conductors are there and is it possible to make this device with your own hands - the main issues that the article is devoted to.

Basic information about conductors

Conductors are simple devices, a kind of templates that have been successfully used in mechanical engineering for a long time.

They allow you to make a hole in the right place and at a strictly defined angle. The scope of conductors is very wide, from drilling machines to diamond drilling installations.

Today everyone furniture master has in its arsenal a set of these tools that allow you to assemble furniture cases, install fittings and perform other operations.

Conductors are needed in construction (for example, to make holes in the wall of a building) and various industries.

As a rule, only overhead models are used here, which are made from lightweight materials to facilitate the work of the master.

The furniture conductor can be factory-made or hand-made.

Many craftsmen have such a trained eye and precise hand that it is not at all difficult for them to drill holes for right angle without additional devices. However, this requires vast experience and, perhaps, talent.

With the help of the tool to which this article is devoted, even a novice furniture maker will be able to make precise holes for dowels and assemble cabinet furniture without complex preliminary calculations and markings. This reduces the labor intensity and, therefore, the cost of the work and speeds up the process.

Before you buy or make a conductor, you need to decide on the varieties and purpose.

Overhead conductors are named so due to the fact that they are superimposed on the workpiece with which to work. They are either fixed on the part, or simply held by hand.

With the help of overhead tools, for example, holes are made in MDF boards.

Swivel jigs are needed if you need holes on the surface of the cylinder. Inclined, vertical and horizontal axis of rotation allow you to drill holes at different angles.

Unified conductors are especially in demand in small-scale production, where it is necessary to drill many holes in the same type of parts of various sizes.

This is possible due to the ability to readjust the tool for a different size of the part.

The scope of tilting conductors is the need to make holes in several planes.

The sliding conductor does not need to be fixed on the surface of the machine - it is attached to the specific surface in which it is necessary to drill a hole.

It is more convenient to work with fixed models, but sliding ones give the master a certain freedom of action when working on a single-spindle drilling machine, especially if several holes are needed on one surface.

Something about the scope

Drilling jig is included in the list necessary tools for furniture assembly. One of the difficulties when making any holes is that the drill can enter the drilled material at the wrong angle.

It can take a lot of effort and time to correct the situation, in addition, not all errors can be corrected.

The conductor serves not only as a template, thanks to which the master understands where to drill, but also guides the drill, preventing it from deviating from the given direction.

First of all, the tool is necessary for specialists who produce furniture, but it is not uncommon during assembly when the finished furniture set does not have the necessary holes, for example, for dowels.

The jig is indispensable for drilling thin slabs, such as chipboard, for making holes at an angle and many other operations.

Accurate, simple, fast assembly furniture always comes with this tool. With it, you can make a hole at any distance from the edge of the part, regardless of its width.

One of the operations in which you cannot do without a conductor is the installation of dowels.

By and large, dowels are last century, in modern furniture production, other types of fasteners are already used to connect various parts of cabinet furniture. However, the connection with the help of dowels is still quite widely used.

The main difficulty in mounting them lies precisely in the accuracy of the location of the holes, and in a strictly perpendicular direction, so that you can connect the parts at an angle of 90 °.

If even one hole is in the wrong place or at the wrong angle, this will lead to errors that are quite difficult to correct. Special tool called a jig for drilling under dowels (doweling jig).

Furniture is a common, but not the only scope for drilling tools. The second important direction is the drilling of pipes and other cylindrical blanks. Conductors allow you to drill even pipes of small diameter.

If collect different kinds drilling templates on the same workbench, it turns out that they are very different in appearance and sizes.

Some are easier to buy factory-made, especially if making tools is not your hobby, others can be made by hand without much difficulty.

Multifunctional conductors from well-known manufacturers not cheap - collecting them yourself, you can save a lot.

Conductors of own production

The simplest tools are inexpensive, so many craftsmen find it easier to buy them. However, there are enthusiasts for whom tool making is of particular interest.

In addition, with your own hands you can make a really durable tool that will faithfully last for many years.

Another reason to make your own tool is if you need a template for custom holes.

There are a large number of drawings and video instructions on the Internet for making do-it-yourself drilling jigs.

This requires a set of tools:

  • drill;
  • angular Grinder(Bulgarian);
  • standard set of locksmith tools;
  • welding machine - not necessary in all cases, but for making the most complex tools with your own hands, it may be required.

Another argument for independent production conductors - each master will surely have necessary blanks for their manufacture: wooden bars, pieces of reinforcement, metal plates.

Jig-template for precise marking and drilling holes on it is so simple that even a novice master can make it.

Take armature from square section 10 x 10 mm (or larger) - the required length must be cut with a hacksaw or grinder.

Sections are preferably prepared with a file and sandpaper. This is the basis of the future conductor.

Now you need to mark the holes. One of them should be at a distance of 8 mm from the edge of the jig - at this distance is the central part of the chipboard board.

Furniture standards dictate the pitch between the holes - it is 32 mm. According to this marking, it is necessary to drill holes with a diameter of 5 mm.

The conductor is almost ready for use, but if you equip it with an emphasis, then it will be much more convenient to assemble furniture.

It is made from a metal plate 1 mm thick and 25 mm wide. The workpiece for the stop must be bent at a right angle and fixed in the clamp together with the finished part made of reinforcement.

Now you need to make holes for the thread and fasten the two parts together with bolts.

A furniture jig can be equipped with half a plastic bottle so that drilling holes is not so dusty. From the same plastic bottle, you can build a small pallet for collecting chips.

This is the simplest jig for drilling holes, thanks to which the assembly of cabinet furniture will become much easier.

With it, you do not have to worry that the drill may enter into chipboard crooked or drill through it.
