Projects in minecraft buildings. City in the Nether. House in the Nether

This article provides examples of building some types of structures that can be created in Minecraft. Please note that creativity is far from limited to the list of buildings below. Only the most commonly used template buildings are presented here.

Conventionally, all structures are divided into three main categories below:

  • Residential premises (buildings intended for permanent residence);
  • Utilitarian premises (buildings with a specific purpose: lighthouses, subways, mines);
  • Defensive structures (buildings created for your protection: walls, ditches, mines)

Living spaces

The first thing a person does is looking for resources and convenient deposits of minerals. And he is so fond of it that he does not notice how the night comes, and with it - hostile monsters. To protect yourself from them, you should build a house for yourself.

Very easy/easy

These shelters can be built in a short amount of time and require almost no materials. A great choice for a first night or temporary stopover. It is also useful if you get lost at night, and crowds of monsters are chasing you.

emergency shelter

Step 1. Dig a 1x1x3 hole.

Step 2. Jump into it.

Step 3. Close the top and place the torch.

Required: nothing.
Time: about 3 seconds.
Difficulty: very easy.
Dig 3 blocks below you and plant one block above you. Everything, you are safe!

"Pros: "

  • quick and easy to do
  • relatively safe (much safer than spending the night outside)
  • if you have a pickaxe / shovel, you can continue to dig down and make a pretty decent mine

"Flaws: "

  • little space
  • easy to miss dawn (countermeasure: clock crafting, hatch, glass instead of block on top)
  • almost nothing to do

Conclusion: for emergencies only.

"Optional:" can be extended to include a bed and a workbench. Can also be used as a breather: you've been hunting monsters, your sword is almost broken, you're badly injured and hungry - you just dig into the ground, set up a workbench, create a sword, eat supplies, wait for your health to recover, dig out - and get back into the fight ! Helps against killer griefers (if crouched).

pillars

It doesn't look very nice.

But sometimes the view is simply breathtaking.

Needed: About 20 blocks of any material.
Time: 10 sec.
Difficulty: very easy.
One of the simplest and at the same time the most unreliable way to spend the night. We take about 20 blocks and build a pillar from them directly under us. You should be at the top of the pillar. If the pillar is more than 20 blocks high, then the skeletons will not be able to hit you.

"Pros: "

  • can be built in about 10 seconds
  • good view of the area
  • if expanded, you can put a bed
  • easy to see why it can be used as a beacon
  • if you have a bow, you can shoot at the mobs and then collect the drop

"Flaws: "

  • you can accidentally fall and crash to death or find yourself in a crowd of hostile mobs
  • little space
  • have nothing to do
  • looks awful from the outside If you play on a large server, in most cases, the administration will take down such "beauty", and, perhaps, you will be banned for this. It is better to immediately destroy it yourself, while no one notices.
  • hard to fight spiders
  • if you fall from there, you are unlikely to climb back
  • you need to be more careful with looking around: if you look at the wanderer of the Edge, you will have to freeze and wait for the morning so that he stops showing aggression towards you - otherwise he can teleport to you and push you off the pole Actually, if the pillar is one square in cross section, then the wanderer will be able to teleport to you only if you move to the very edge of the pillar while holding the ⇧ Shift button, but you never know...

Conclusion: it is worth building only in extreme cases, when you have nowhere to hide in the middle of the night.

"Additional:" can be extended and a bed can be installed. Also, if you have a lot of gravel and need flint, then you can build a gravel pillar on top and dig it all night. Pros: mining is continuous, high processing speed. Cons: some of the gravel and flint can fall down. Trick: to protect against spiders of any wall, it is enough to make the last block or two facing the outside. sticky mobs easily climb on vertical supports, but cannot pass on the reverse side of the horizontal ones and inevitably fall.

man-made cave

outside view

Inside view

Needed: shovel, pickaxe.
Time: about half a minute.
Difficulty: easy.
If there is no time or opportunity to do something else, then this is the best option. You can dig into the ground in a few seconds and close the top with earth or find a hill, mountain, cave or canyon and dig a room in the slope. You can also fence off part of an ordinary cave.

"Pros: "

  • can be upgraded to a full house
  • quite spacious
  • easy to expand
  • you can build a mine
  • a lot of material for external construction

"Flaws: "

  • low stability: one creeper or TNT charge installed by your enemy - and you will need to change your place of residence
  • multiplayer: you will sometimes be visited by miners who accidentally broke through your wall in search of ores or those who started digging their dwelling here before you
  • a lot of noise from monsters appearing above you
  • if in the process of expanding your home you stumble upon an unlit cave, then you will have to sort things out with the indigenous people for a long time

Conclusion: not bad for the first night and temporary dwellings.

"Extra:" not a bad start for an underground city

Shack a la "dirt cube"

Classic example. For this, they can get banned on the server

You need: one or two piles of any material.
Time: about a minute.
Difficulty: easy.
Small house. You can make a hole in the cellar and several underground rooms or a mine that you will dig while waiting for the start of the day.

"Pros: "

  • rapidly erected
  • expands easily

"Flaws: "

  • little space
  • fire and explosion hazard
  • looks ugly from the side
  • often subjected to griefer attacks, tk. usually the owners of such houses are newcomers who do not know how to properly privatize a home.

Conclusion: a good option for those who do not want to fight monsters or sit on a tree until the morning.

"Optional:" you can make a mine, a farm and a couple of cellars for storing things.

Dugout

Needed: some wood and earth, stairs.
Time: about 3 minutes.
Difficulty: easy.
You need to dig a hole (of your choice - this will be your living quarters), then build wooden roof with a slope and cover with earth. After that, you make a hole in the roof, put ladders and ... voila! The dugout is ready!

"Pros: "

  • quite resource-intensive
  • fast erection
  • if you dig a network of rooms, you can call friends in multiplayer or make an underground hotel

"Flaws: "

  • not the most best view from the inside (to avoid this, you can decorate / or make wooden walls and, at the very top of the window - it will look good)
  • little space (although expandable)

Conclusion: semi-dugout is suitable for those who dreamed of living like the ancient Eastern Slavs.

"Optional:" you can make a mine, a farm and a couple of cellars for storing things, or you can dig a few rooms and make an underground house.

"House in the village"

Just 10 minutes ago, it was an ordinary village house...

Needed: a couple of torches, a bed.
Time: 10 sec + time to find the NPC village.
Difficulty: very easy (not counting the difficulty of finding the village).
You will need to find an NPC village, choose a bigger and better house for yourself, drive out the inhabitants from there (you can punch a hole in the wall or replace the door with a gate or an iron door so that the inhabitants stop considering this house as their own), install torches and a bed and start equipping your new home.

"Pros: "

  • very low resource requirements
  • you (as well as the villagers) are guarded by an iron golem
  • other houses can become sources of building materials
  • in the villages there are almost always plantations with wheat, potatoes and carrots
  • the house is located in the village, which with the introduction of trade has become a huge plus

"Flaws: "

  • it is difficult to find a village, and in multiplayer it is almost impossible (however, in a flat world, villages are generated very often)
  • if you have not replaced the door with an iron one, then the villagers will interfere with your house
  • if you accidentally hit a villager or an iron golem, then you're done

Conclusion: if you have a village next to the spawn - this is your choice.

"Optional:" It can be quite a fun pastime to build a small town or castle on the site of a village, monitor its life and protect its inhabitants from vile zombies.

mushroom house

Needed: Mushroom (color doesn't matter much, but most players usually prefer red), bonemeal, some blocks of other materials.
Time: 5-10 seconds.
Difficulty: easy.
To create such a house for yourself, plant a mushroom, use bonemeal and climb onto it by creating a "pillar" or installing a ladder.

"Pros: "

  • fast
  • cheap
  • you can eat later
  • you can build a tower (see below)
  • can be expanded

"Flaws: "

  • no explosion resistance
  • multiplayer: your house will be inconspicuous except perhaps in a mushroom biome
  • from 1.2.5 mushrooms grow only on mycelium

Conclusion: still better than spending the night in the open air or in a pile of earth.

"Optional:" Also, since you've already started building, why not build your dwelling to a mushroom tower?

mushroom tower

Required: at least 3 mushrooms, the same amount of bone meal, a lot of ladders.
Time: at least 30 seconds.
Difficulty: easy.
You just grow mushrooms, one on top of the other.

"Pros: "

  • see above
  • can be used as an alternative to a beacon
  • almost complete protection against mobs
  • good review
  • a lot of space

"Flaws: "

  • see above
  • multiplayer: your house will be very visible even in the mushroom biome

Conclusion: a highly visible alternative to a beacon.

Medium difficulty

It is impossible to live all your life in a small room carved into the rock, or a cube of earth? Next will be those buildings that were created by almost everyone, which are quite suitable for living and can be built already on the third or fourth day of the game.

Stone house

Required: 2-3 stacks of blocks, 20-30 glass blocks / glass panels.
Time: 5-10 minutes.
Difficulty: medium.
The next step in evolution after the shack. A simple solid house made of stone or bricks. Choice of most players.

"Pros: "

  • explosion and fire resistant
  • expand
  • cheap and easy

"Flaws: "

  • so typical that it's pretty boring

Conclusion: a simple and solid home that, with proper care, will last almost forever.

"Optional:" Build a farm, warehouse, and mine nearby\in the basement for convenience.

A house on a tree

Classic example

Needed: 2-3 stacks of blocks, glass, a lot of stairs (although you can get smart and climb the vines).
Time: 10-15 minutes + time to find a tree (although you can grow it yourself).
Difficulty: medium/difficult.
Almost the same as an ordinary house, but on a tropical tree and with a hatch instead of a door. Another option - on the seashore, we are building on a large oak small house with a bed, a record player and whatever you want. Or you can generally build a "nest" - a small flooring, on which there will be something for you to do.

"Pros: "

  • no need to go far for cocoa beans
  • if you have a bow, you can shoot mobs
  • many ocelots
  • in multiplayer, if you build a house in the middle of the jungle (especially in large biomes), no one will find it.
  • if you choose the right place, the view will be simply gorgeous, especially at sunset. In addition, you can put the player, and play the record "strad" - the sounds of the jungle, performed on the synthesizer.

"Flaws: "

  • quite difficult to build on a tree
  • multiplayer: very hard to privatize (especially a tall tree)
  • if you accidentally break through the floor, then falling from a tall tree you can die
  • fire hazard
  • a very long way to the mine, farm or other agricultural buildings

"Additionally:" you can make several of these houses and connect them with bridges - then you get a "city on the trees." And, a good option would be to find a temple in the jungle, enclose the area around with a cobblestone wall, remove all vegetation in this area, except big trees and build houses on them.

tree house

farmer's house

Needed: Tree seedlings - at least 16 pieces for a 4x4 house, bone meal, wood blocks, a door, a wooden fence or glass.
Time: 5-10 minutes + time for trees to grow if there is no bone meal
Difficulty: medium/difficult.
We plant an earthen area with tree seedlings so that when they grow, we get a single tree array. Tropical trees or oaks are best suited. If any seedling does not want to grow, you can help him with bone meal or simply build up this place with blocks of wood. Next, we cut down the room inside, make windows, hang the door, remove the excess foliage that covers the windows. Windows look more beautiful wooden fence. If tropical trees are used, then their height can make it possible to make a second floor. If the floor of the building turned out to be flush with the ground, then it can be replaced with blocks of wood.

"Pros: "

  • almost complete protection from mobs
  • looks beautiful
  • well camouflaged in the forest

"Flaws: "

  • fire hazard
  • difficult to grow many trees side by side

Man Made House in NPC Village

Needed: 3-4 stacks of boards, cobblestone.
Time: 2-3 days + time to search for the village.
Difficulty: medium.
Often - an ordinary medium-sized house made of boards, wood and cobblestones with a small yard. All it takes is a few pets. This option of building a house is often the best choice for a quiet life.

"Pros: "

  • main occupations - trade, animal breeding, fishing and hunting
  • fishing and animal breeding bring experience, food and emeralds, and hunting also brings a lot of useful items
  • relative privacy and tranquility

"Flaws: "

  • the village is difficult to find, and then also to build defensive structures.

Conclusion: a lot of all sorts of useful things, food, experience, peace and positive.

Submarine

An example of a simple submarine (outside).

The same submarine, but already inside

"Pros: "

  • almost complete invisibility
  • there are always fish and octopuses
  • water blocks damage from explosions, so any explosion will be absolutely safe for you
  • monsters won't get to you
  • with the help of TNT guns, you can arrange underwater battles

"Flaws: "

  • the complexity of building under water (especially at great depths)
  • there are almost no resources from the surface (although, who will sit on the submarine all the time?)

Conclusion: well-defended underwater base. Hardcore version: do all this, but in the Nether under the lava sea (with the help of a fire resistance potion).

bridge house

An example of such a house.

Needed: some resources, a beautiful place.
Time: 30 minutes to 2 hours (depending on the size of the river and your desires).
Difficulty: medium.

"Pros: "

  • very beautiful view at home
  • the view from the windows is picturesque
  • relatively easy to build
  • does not require a lot of time and resources
  • extremely convenient if you constantly cross a certain river
  • plenty of space for farms and other buildings
  • you can build a small port (as in the picture) and go on trips along the rivers
  • you can fish right from home
  • if the house is very high, you can install a lighthouse so as not to get lost

"Flaws: "

  • very easy to spot
  • your house can interfere with the swimming of other players
  • build beautiful the house is quite difficult
  • not enough space
  • basically the growth of the house will be in height, not in width or underground

Conclusion: excellent multifunctional house with a beautiful view.

Cottage/estate

Needed: 3-4 stacks of building materials of sufficient strength, glass.
Time: 2-4 hours.
Difficulty: medium.
In the simplest version - a stone house with a farm and a mine, surrounded by a wall. This option of creating a house is one of the most self-sufficient and protected from external influences. Also, new floors and extensions are often completed (warehouses, bedrooms, forges, kitchens, greenhouses, mobo farms ...).

"Pros: "

  • with the right construction of the defense is practically invulnerable
  • a lot of space
  • if you build a variety of farms to supply resources and make supplies, then you can not even leave there

"Flaws: "

  • impossible to build in the first 2-3 days
  • takes up a lot of space, which can become critical on a large server
  • if it gets too big, even admins won't be able to help with private

Conclusion: well-protected, self-sufficient base.

"Optional:" in multiplayer, you can make a couple of floors / outbuildings and settle all your friends there.

Bunker / dugout

Find the bunker!

Needed: 1-2 stacks of durable blocks (obsidian, brick, stone brick), some glass/bars, iron door.
Time: 10-20 minutes.
Difficulty: medium.
We dig a man-made cave, cover it with the selected material (in the case of stone bricks - preferably with a double layer), insert a door and windows, mask everything with earth, make vaults. For greater certainty, you can set traps.

"Pros: "

  • almost complete invisibility and explosion resistance

"Flaws: "

  • lack of resources
  • have nothing to do
  • little space

Conclusion: armored anti-grip structure. It is recommended as a "last chance" - a place where you can go for a while in case of an unexpected incident (great fire, explosion of a large amount of explosives in your house, flooding your house with water or lava, zombie siege).

"Optional: "

  • at your leisure, you can create a network of huge shelters with their own life support system and communication system.
  • you can make the beginning of the bunker in the ordinary world, and continue in the Lower, and connect them with portals.

House in the Nether

"Pros: "

  • there are always fish and octopuses
  • you can dig a mine
  • almost complete invisibility
  • with proper lighting, the only mobs spawning for you will be only octopuses

"Flaws: "

  • it is often impossible to tell what time it is (it's okay if you have a watch)
  • fragility of the structure: one destroyed block - and you are flooded
  • difficult to expand

Conclusion: if you want something out of the ordinary.

"Extra:" hardcore version: go to the Nether and do the same thing, but under a sea of lava.

Flying island

Requires: Lots of earth and stone, a pickaxe with Silk Touch
Time: at least 2-3 in-game days.
Difficulty: difficult.

  1. Select the height at which you are going to build.
  2. Jump there using the pillars.
  3. Build an inverted pyramid/tetrahedron/hemisphere out of earth and/or stone (in order to make the island look more beautiful and realistic, it is recommended to make an irregularly shaped base).
  4. Cover with grass and grow trees, build houses, etc.

"Pros: "

  • breathtaking view
  • a lot of space to complete the construction of other satellite islands
  • almost complete protection against mobs (and, if desired, players)
  • a great way to spend your stocks of earth and stone

"Flaws: "

  • easy to fall over (however, falling will not cause damage if the island is placed over a large body of water at least 2 blocks deep, since water absorbs fall damage)
  • need a lot of resources
  • very long and difficult to build
  • hard to go down and back up
  • if you make an island at a high altitude and without a ladder down, then after death you will have to search for your island for a long time
  • it will be very difficult to enchant a pickaxe with Silk Touch to mine a block of grass. You can build a ladder from the ground to the island, then the grass itself will grow to your island, but this will take a very long time (especially if the island is very high above the ground)
  • even if you manage to get the grass, you will have to wait a long time until the whole island is overgrown with it.

Conclusion: splendid dwelling. Too bad it takes so much.

"Additionally:" you can then make cosmetic changes: build a couple of smaller islands around, dig a hole of the same size under the island (so that it looks like your island is uprooted from the ground), build something on it (a city from WoW - Dalaran, a mage tower , which “raised” this island, or a giant tree), or even make something out of it (for example, the castle of magicians from HOMM V, or the Sky Castle of Laputa). You can use a tropical tree instead of pillars, that is, grow it to yourself, and thus reach the required height (plus, tropical trees are overgrown with vines, which will allow you to make stairs out of them). If you build a large enough island in multiplayer, you can even make a city in the sky. As an option, you can make not a flying island, but a huge airship. If there is a snow golem \ sheep, then you can make a cloud as a zero level. You can also build one large "Main" island, and next to create "extensions", from smaller islands connected to the main island by bridges. Also, to simplify the descent / ascent up, you can pour water at the edge of the island, and you get a very beautiful waterfall, which will also serve as an elevator.

House in the Edge

Conclusion: only if you really want solitude, peace and comfort!

Skyscraper

Need: a lot of glass and building materials.
Time: A day or two at least.
Difficulty: difficult.
Lay the first floor, then go up and lay the next floor from the same blocks and according to the same principle. Repeat until you reach the desired height.

"Pros: "

  • looks impressive
  • great review
  • a lot of space
  • safe from mobs
  • on the server, you can settle friends in it or rent out rooms
  • if you build a few of these skyscrapers on the seashore, it will look just gorgeous
  • in multiplayer, your authority will instantly increase.

"Flaws: "

  • requires a lot of resources
  • easy to fall from great heights
  • you get tired of running up the stairs (solved by building an elevator)
  • during construction, you often have to walk up and down the stairs for resources
  • it is recommended to build on a busy server or in a city, as a lonely tower in the forest or in the middle of the desert looks strange and dull
  • you need a good imagination, otherwise you don’t even have to try

Conclusion: if you want a home that has a lot of space and a great view.

Ship

Flying ship before departure.

Needed: a huge amount of wood.
Time: a few days minimum.
Difficulty: difficult.
Who has not dreamed of owning a ship with a team of dashing corsairs? It has its difficulties and disadvantages, but proper construction you will be envied!

"Pros: "

  • looks amazing
  • ships are a rarity, beautiful ships are a rarity
  • lots of space inside and out
  • on the server you can settle friends in cabins or rent them out
  • many fish and octopuses

"Flaws: "

  • building on water is very inconvenient
  • not very convenient to get to the mine
  • requires an incredible amount of resources and time

Conclusion: impressive, beautiful, but hard.

City

Needed: building materials, glass.
Time: from a couple of days to several months.
Difficulty: medium/difficult.
Often spawns from a randomly found NPC village or a small village on a server. Many houses next to each other with streets, shops, courtyards, squares.

"Pros: "

  • fun to watch the life of the villagers / players
  • a lot of space
  • you can proclaim yourself mayor and issue various laws
  • you can earn extra money by making shops and bargaining with players or villagers

"Flaws: "

  • takes a lot of time and space

Conclusion: not bad for a server or a small company.

"Optional: "

  • Don't forget to spawn some iron golems!
  • don't forget to build:
    • police (and prison)
    • the shops
    • fire station
    • city hall
    • statues

And anything you can think of!

underground city

You need: a bucket of water, a bunch of torches, a lot of picks (from a couple of dozen to several hundred, preferably stone ones) and time (from a couple of days to several months).
Difficulty: high.
As a rule, it grows out of a network of caves, however, it is possible to dig space man-made the right sizes. It consists of the main square or street (a large natural cave or a huge man-made hall, you can also use an underground canyon) and houses, which are the entrance to the square or street and several rooms hollowed out in the mountain or underground. In the city itself, if there are caves, then they are necessarily "cultivated" (the pits are closed up or fenced, all descents and ascents are made using steps or ladders). The role of caves and canyons in the man-made city is represented by long, wide and straight corridors with high ceiling(from 4 blocks) The admin can settle villagers in this city.

"Pros: "

  • looks impressive
  • great for the server
  • fabulous riches when mining ores (only building a main square of medium size (90 by 90) and 8 blocks high with a ceiling not higher than level 18 can bring you up to a whole stack of diamonds, and there will be so many cobblestones that they will have to fill at least 10 chests)
  • all the advantages of the city, only instead of the mayor - the foothill king (or someone with a lower title)
  • the immunity of the city to almost a third of the ways of griefing (including air strikes and hijacking)
  • by illuminating all the dark corners, the city will be protected from monsters, so an iron golem is not required

"Flaws: "

  • unfinished construction
  • an acute lack of wood, meat and other materials "from above" (treated by rising to the surface or growing all this underground)
  • it is impossible to determine the time of day (treated by crafting watches, since there will be plenty of gold and red dust, or "light wells")
  • long and tedious cleaning of the lower levels of the city from lava (if you use natural caves)

Conclusion: great for the server.

"Optional:" your city will look like a gnome, dwarf or dwemer settlement (and professions will mostly be the same: miners and blacksmiths). Also, on the main square you can build:

  • columns
  • light wells
  • The fountain
  • statue
  • Vaults and supports
  • Stone bridges over a precipice or gorge

Additional buildings to build:

  • Mob arena (based on Treasury, Fortress or Abandoned Mine)
  • labyrinth
  • Tower with access to the surface
  • A large passage three to eight blocks high with a descent into your city (for those who are not afraid of griefers)

City in the Nether

Needed: building materials (non-combustible blast-resistant blocks), glass, a lot of tools and weapons.
Difficulty: high.
Time: see City.
A more extreme option is to build a city in the Nether. Such a city can grow out of an infernal fortress or simply on a large lava lake. It is recommended to build from fireball-resistant ghasts and non-combustible blocks so that ghasts do not get bombed or burned. Streets can be cut into hellstone or built at high altitude.

"Pros: "

  • lava, hellstone, gold nuggets, ghast tears and fire rods are always at hand
  • zombie pigmen will not break into your house
  • no iron golem required

"Flaws: "

  • ghasts (and if in a hellish fortress, then ifrits in the company of wither skeletons) will not give you rest
  • no resources and food from the ordinary world (one rotten flesh and stewed mushrooms will not satisfy you) (decided by the construction of the Chest of the End

"Optional:" what should be built in such a city:

  • Portal on the main square
  • Ifrit mobo farms (in hellish fortresses, near spawners)
  • Farms of infernal outgrowths (fortunately, there is a lot of sand of the soul)

City in the Edge

Needed: building materials, glass, lots and lots of weapons and tools.
Difficulty: high.
Time: see City.
An even more extreme option than the previous one is building a city in the End. However, you must first kill the Ender Dragon, otherwise he will not even let you build a shack...

"Pros: "

  • The End - A virtually endless source of Obsidian, End Stone, and End Jewels
  • no one but the Endermen (which is especially good in multiplayer, since almost no one goes to the End)
  • if you build a city around the portal, then at hand there will always be a portal to the ordinary world

"Flaws: "

  • there is a high risk of falling into the Void (however, you can make barriers along the edge of the island, but this will not save a negligent miner)
  • easy to incur the wrath of the endermen - just look them in the eye (countermeasure - wearing a pumpkin on your head)
  • first you have to find a portal to the End, and then also fight the Ender Dragon
  • the view in the edge is so dull...
  • some servers have plugins that resurrect the dragons of the End from eggs at certain intervals (thus, an untimely respawned dragon can destroy the entire city)
  • or the Enders can move every block. And your whole house is destroyed. (although, who will build a house out of earth, sand or TNT?)

"Additionally:" what should be built in such a city:

  • Parks - always with lighting, otherwise the trees will not grow
  • Portal back to the main square
  • Reservoirs (pools, canals, etc.)
  • Storage of resources and food

Conclusion: if you really want absolute rest...

Utility rooms

These are buildings with a specific purpose: farms, mines, lighthouses, warehouses, etc.

Farms

Farms are special structures designed to speed up or even automate the process of harvesting renewable resources.

egg farm

1. Build a paddock like this:

Top view: Instead of cobblestone, any hard surface

Bottom
- collection point

2. Corral chickens
3. Get up at the collection point (or dig a channel at the collection point to the underground room and stand there) and collect eggs

record farm

The basic idea is this: first, a skeleton is lured into one hole, a creeper is lured into another (do not confuse the holes!). Then you stand behind the creeper, and the skeleton shoots at you, hitting the creeper (you can shoot the creeper yourself - the main thing is that the final blow should be delivered by the skeleton).
True, there are a couple of nuances: you should not confuse holes for the skeleton and for the creeper, there must be 5 blocks between the skeleton and the creeper, as well as the creeper and you (to avoid detonation). Also, you will need something to cover the top of the skeleton (or place a block of water under it) to keep it from burning. Also, due to improvements to mob AI in 1.2, you will need to use piston traps or runaway mobs to drop skeletons and creepers into holes
The scheme is something like this:

Side view:
- skeleton drop point,
- creeper drop point,
- the place where you should stand
- the flow of water carrying the plate,
- solid block

P.S.: In Creative or on the server (by requesting/buying spawn eggs) you can automate the reset process by placing dispensers with the appropriate spawn eggs above the reset points and connecting them to a button near you (it's better to make two separate buttons for skeletons and for creepers)

cobblestone generator

Stone Generator

Mines

Orientation marks

decorative structures

statues

One of the most beloved types of art by players along with pixel art. Your statue can be anything: depict anyone (from a creeper or a slug to Notch), be made of anything (from wool or cobblestone to gold or glass), be of any size (from a small figurine in your yard to a monument, the top of which is lost in the clouds) ... In general, show your imagination! Statues can also be used as markers or memorials (for example, create a statue of a creeper at the place where you first met him, or create a hefty sword next to the barracks in your city).

Pixel art

Pixel art is paintings depicted using colored squares (pixels). Players often make "pixelated" versions of some painting out of colored wool. Also often (using the same wool) the graphics of old games are recreated: individual sprites, characters, and sometimes entire levels!

The fountain

There are in almost every yard. And it looks very good. You can surround with blocks of grass with flowers, for more decoration. And also inside the fountain you can install a glowstone, which will give additional consecration and a beautiful, romantic look. The place of water can be placed with lava, which also provides additional lighting. And it can be surrounded by foliage of trees.

decorative structures

Many structures, such as cathedrals, pyramids, airports, or ships, have no meaning in terms of gameplay and are de facto purely decorative.

Cemetery

It mainly performs a decorative function. You can improve it to your taste - put crypts with an iron door and a gravel path, and put a pressure plate in front of the door, and dynamite under the gravel on which it is located (it is recommended to make a deep hole so that the explosion does not blow the cemetery to pieces). You can make dark underground rooms with portals and zombie spawners that create creepy sounds. So you can create an atmosphere of the dead, who protect their treasure. As a joke, you can put the grave of Notch or Herobrine. But on servers with hardcore mode, the cemetery can perform its direct function - everyone who dies is "buried". It is better to hire a watchman at the cemetery, because. servers with such orders often come across vandals ravaging graves ... until they themselves go there.

Roller coaster

Found on many servers and maps. The roller coaster is a system of intricately interconnected railroad tracks with golden rails and serves approximately the same purpose as their real prototype.

Defensive structures

With a lot of new mobs and Adventure mode likely to be introduced in the future (as well as a lot of existing mods with new, stronger creatures), it's quite possible that you'll need something more solid than a cobblestone wall.

In this article, defensive structures are divided into 3 types:

  • Delayers are devices that slow down the advance of enemies. An example is a moat with water.
  • Obstacles are structures that mobs cannot overcome without outside help or breaking a hole in it (explosion of a creeper or fireball gasta, for example). A classic example is the fortress walls.
  • Damage Dealers - Their role is to deal damage to enemies and destroy them. An example is a mine. Also, the damage dealer can act as an obstacle (a wall of cacti) or a delayer (an arrow dispenser connected to a pressure plate).

Attention! Consider vulnerabilities and strengths mobs: for example, a lava moat will not deal damage with cats.

Repulsion Turret

Classification: delayer.
Difficulty: easy.

The role of the knockback turret is simple: keep the mobs as far away from your house as possible. To be effective, they require a large number golems inside (at least 3). A large number of snowballs thrown will push the mobs away so hard that they won't even be able to move. This will continue until the mob goes out of sight of the golems, despawns, burns in the sun, or is killed by a player or another trap. This turret is effective against zombies and spiders, but skeletons can kill the "crew" of the turret.

"Pros: "

  • easier to build
  • copes better with a large number of mobs
  • distracts mobs and prevents them from moving, which makes the process of killing them by players or other mobs (for example, iron golems) easier

"Flaws: "

  • does not kill mobs, which in case of killing golems or moving mobs out of sight leaves the protected object unprotected
  • does not work well against skeletons: one skeleton can damage or kill several golems before disappearing or going out of sight
  • does not work well if the player is awake at night, as the golems will have to distract mobs all night

"Optional:" you can combine the turret with other traps or hazards (for example, place the turret next to a narrow bridge over a lava lake or a deep pit).

Tractor turret

Difficulty: easy/medium.
Autonomous: No, but can last for a long time (requires replacement of destroyed golems).
The tractor turret is a bit more difficult to implement. It consists of the turret itself with one snow golem inside and some kind of trap in front of it (lava lake, pit, and so on). It works like this: the mob enters the golem's field of vision, the golem attacks the target, but cannot push it away, it moves towards the golem, but falls into the trap.

"Pros: "

  • requires only one golem to work effectively
  • skeletons have less time to react, resulting in a higher lifespan for golems
  • more effective in defense if the player does not sleep at night
  • if the trap leads to a mobo farm, then the drop from the mobs can be easily collected

"Flaws: "

  • requires more time and resources
  • ineffective against multiple mobs
  • since only one golem is used, when it is killed by a skeleton, the trap becomes useless
  • the mob trap creates additional danger for friendly mobs and even inattentive players

Wall

Classification: obstacle.
Difficulty: depends on the material.
Offline: yes.

Walls are simple vertical barriers that can be built from various materials:

and Advantages:

  • simply
  • cheap
  • provides good protection

"Flaws: "

  • vulnerable to explosions and griefing
  • Endermen are often seen stealing blocks from fortress walls (after 1.8.1 their ability to steal was reduced and they will only steal a block from your wall if it's made of earth)
  • just a wall is not an obstacle for spiders. Option - building a wall in the form of the letter G, with a top stick from one block that looks out
  • Some mods add mobs that can destroy walls

"Optional:" you can make loopholes in the walls (or expand the wall / put a tower and climb on it) and shoot mobs through them. You can also build a wall of cacti that deal damage on touch, and can also be combined with other defensive measures (like moats or iron golems). Also, spiders are able to climb over walls. However, protrusions or recesses on the walls interfere with the spiders. For decoration, you can put battlements, as on medieval city walls.

Also in version 1.4.2 and later, a cobblestone fence appeared. If you punch a 2x2 hole in the wall and put a cobblestone fence there, then there will be a small gap between the fences, through which you can shoot from a bow. Skeletons with a small chance can fall into the gap.

Also, if you make a ditch with water on the inside of the wall, then the Wanderer of the End, when teleporting through the wall, can fall directly into the water, which will cause him damage. If you have places in the wall from which you can shoot at mobs, then don’t make the ditch too wide ( 3 blocks maximum from the wall). Also put blocks on which you will jump across the moat.

Lighting

Classification: delayer.
Difficulty: easy.
Offline: yes.
Yes, lighting can delay mobs too. Light up the area around your base well, and mobs that have to spawn away from your building will have to walk much longer (if they can find where your base is at all).

"Pros: "

  • cheap
  • simply

"Flaws: "

  • most light sources have poor blast resistance and/or wash out with water

Ditch/pit

Classification: depending on the design, it can be a delayer (a moat with water), an obstacle (a shallow trench), a damage dealer (a moat with lava, a very deep pit, a moat with cacti / a burning hellstone at the bottom).
Difficulty: medium.
Offline: yes.
In its simplest form, a moat is simply a 3 block wide and 3 block deep ditch dug around your building. Modifications are also possible: a moat with lava, a moat with water, a moat that refers mobs to a mobo farm, a moat with cacti / a burning hellish stone at the bottom, just a very deep pit...

"Pros: "

  • simply
  • cheap
  • if there is a stream of water at the bottom of the moat that carries mobs to the mobo farm, then it will be possible to pick up a drop
  • the cactus moat can be combined with a cactus farm and is also easy to build in the desert
  • burning and lava moats look cool
  • a wide enough water moat will be your salvation on a super flat world: slugs drown in water

"Flaws: "

  • if you or your animals fall into the ditch, they are unlikely to get out
  • labor intensive
  • in the case of a lava / cactus / burning moat, very resource-intensive
  • lava and burning moats do not affect Nether creatures, and can also set fire to your combustible buildings
  • lava, burning and cactus moats destroy loot
  • lava and burning ditches can be easily overcome by flooding them with water

Sniper/Fortress Tower

Difficulty: medium.
Offline: no (required manual control).
If you have free space, time and extra building materials, then build a sniper tower or tower on the wall.

"Pros: "

  • you can practice shooting
  • great review

"Flaws: "

  • requires good accuracy
  • requires a huge number of arrows (healed by enchanting a bow to infinity)
  • can't see anything at low draw distance

"Optional:" if you have a mod that adds friendly shooting mobs, you can try to drive them to the towers and build a turret for them there

Minefield

Classification: Damage Dealer.
Difficulty: medium.
Autonomous: no (requires constant replacement of mines).
The simplest mine can be built like this:

  1. Digging a hole 1X1X2 block
  2. TNT is placed at the bottom of the pit and closed with a block
  3. A pressure plate is placed on top of the block

"Pros: "

  • high explosion damage
  • mine can be activated from safe place with red stone
  • mine is relatively easy to manufacture

"Flaws: "

  • dynamite roads in production
  • the explosion will cause severe damage to the landscape and, possibly, your buildings, and also, if installed incorrectly, will detonate other mines (decided, see "additional")
  • mines are disposable, and therefore their constant replacement is required
  • you (or your pet) could accidentally hit a mine
  • if you die in a minefield, your things will scatter

"Optional: " This also works for mods that add explosives or mines as a separate block/item.

If you dig a hole very deep and put explosives on the 2nd block (counting from the surface), sand or gravel on it, and a pressure plate on top, then the mob, player, discarded item (if pressure plate wooden) will fall to the bottom of the pit and explode inside without causing damage to the surface. This removes some of the shortcomings.

piston trap

Classification: Damage Dealer.
Difficulty: medium.
Offline: yes.
This trap consists of several components:

  1. Sensor, which is a pressure plate connected to the pistons through several repeaters (they are necessary so that the trap does not work prematurely) and a signal amplifier (so that it does not release the mob prematurely)
  2. Actually, herself trap, consisting of narrow corridor with pistons (if you want to disguise them, put sticky pistons behind the blocks). When the sensor is triggered, it sends a signal to the trap, which slams shut, pressing the mob against the wall and causing damage to it.

"Pros: "

  • looks cool from the side (a mob is walking along the corridor, all of a sudden a wall is approaching him and crushing him into a cake!)
  • does not require recharging
  • harder to notice
  • can be manually activated from a safe location in the event of a sensor failure

"Flaws: "

  • if you miss setting delays on repeaters, then the trap will collapse ahead of time, if you make a mistake in the amplifier, it will release the mob earlier than necessary. In any case, the mob will remain alive and be able to get to you
  • pistons destroy drops (you can remove the bottom row of pistons, but then small mobs like chickens or spiders will be able to pass unhindered)
  • applicable only in enclosed space (such as a building or cave)

Using mobs

Classification: Delay/Damage Dealer.
Difficulty: medium.
Autonomous: No, but can last for a long time (requires replacement of destroyed mobs).
Friendly mobs can help you in battle. You can tame a couple of wolves and leave them outside the gate at night to fight mobs. However, wolves are very ineffective in defense, as they constantly follow you, and therefore cannot be left to guard the house. Iron golems are much more effective as they can kill a mob in a couple of hits, but they require iron. Also, it is possible to use mobs from mods.

"Pros: "

  • automatically destroy all mobs nearby
  • leave a drop
  • high efficiency

"Flaws: "

  • need to occasionally change mobs
  • golems require a lot of iron and are rather slow; wolves can't stay to patrol the area
  • they don't attack some mobs (such as creepers or endermen)
  • sometimes golems can go too far from home and get lost

"Optional:" it is possible to use golems from NPC villages, as well as some friendly mobs from other mods

"Pros: "

  • large selection of ammo
  • small size
  • leaves loot
  • can be activated remotely

"Flaws: "

  • requires recharging (especially for potion dispensers)
  • low efficiency against low mobs (such as spiders or small slugs)
  • turret with wood stove can falsely work from a fallen object, and a turret with a generator can release part of the ammunition into the void
  • fire can only be fired in one direction

Signaling

Classification: warning.
Difficulty: medium.
Offline: yes.
For those who like to do everything with their own hands, and who have a lot of red stone and some gold lying around, you can make an alarm. The alarm system is a system of pressure plates placed at key points (a passage in a wall, a house door, a warehouse, and so on) and connected to musical blocks. As soon as a mob or thief steps on the stove, the jukebox makes a sound, and thus you know that someone has entered your place. For additional security you can make several music blocks, each connected to its own stove. This will make it easier to locate the intruder.

"Pros: "

  • allows you to identify the invading enemy

"Flaws: "

  • requires a lot of redstone
  • does not kill the stranger, but only lets you know about his presence
  • if you are in a mine deep underground, you may not hear the signal

"Quicksands"

Classification: retarder.
Difficulty: medium.
Offline: yes.
In general, quicksand is a wide ditch of soul sand (minimum 3 blocks wide). It slows down mobs a lot (especially when placed on top of ice or under cobwebs).

"Pros: "

  • slows down mobs very much, thus making them easy targets for shooters and (at dawn, only for mobs burning in the sun) sunlight
  • at dawn you can collect a drop

"Flaws: "

  • If you get there yourself, it will take a long time to get out of there.

TNT gun

Classification: Damage Dealer.
Difficulty: difficult.
Autonomous: no (requires manual operation and recharging).
The name describes itself. A weapon of last chance, to be used only when absolutely necessary.

"Pros: "

  • huge damage
  • effective against large clusters

"Flaws: "

  • difficult to aim, especially at moving targets
  • if built or used incorrectly, the cannon may explode
  • the explosion causes massive damage to the landscape
  • dynamite roads in production

"Optional:" try combining this cannon with quicksand. Also, the cannon will be invaluable when storming an enemy castle on a PvP server.

Miscellaneous

Museums/schools/libraries

They usually contain samples of pixel art and statues, the simplest mechanisms, and there are always kind people ready to help with advice. Obviously, in a single-player environment, these buildings are used only for decorative purposes, but on the server they can become powerful tool teaching beginners and support for them.

Various training grounds / playgrounds / arenas and more skins) or build an automatic food distribution system using dispensers.
  • On a server with the ChestShop plugin, you can install a store or make a stall

Prison

building with large quantity small rooms with walls made of cobblestone and iron bars (fence, with a lack of iron). The construction of such a structure on servers where a plugin is installed that prohibits teleporting anywhere and using commands will become good idea against grippers. It will be even better if you put a prison on the spawn of players with a sign "Shame on our server", or vice versa, near the bedrock, so that not everyone would guess about the existence of such. It will also be useful if: it will not be possible to light the portal in the prison, throw the pearls of the End, and the plugin will not let players go far from the prison if it is damaged.

Casino

With the help of distributors, redstone and pressure plates, it is quite possible to build some kind of one-armed bandit.

Rail/Metro

To quickly move between houses / cities. There is also an alternative - on servers where there is a certain plugin, you can install portals. There is also a 3rd option - install the SimpleWarps plugin and use warps.

jetty

For sea travelers (there is a problem with the constant breakdown of boats) (cured by building from soul sand), or you can build a ship in the pier (see above).

Bridge

Bridges are used to quickly cross a river/ravine, or as decoration. If you have enough redstone, then you can build a drawbridge. Pity the material? No problem! There is always an alternative - install a plugin. Install the plugin, and for the bridge you will need: 14 cobblestones, 2 tablets, and 20 seconds.

As you know, "Minecraft" refers to the not too common "sandbox" genre, which has only one rule - the absence of rules. Here you enter the world, with any element of which you can interact. You can create items, build buildings, hunt animals, fight monsters, and so on. No one gives you tasks, does not offer storyline- your hero just exists and survives. And it depends only on you how long he can withstand, as well as how he will be remembered. After all, you can just get food and defend yourself from monsters, or you can create, create something incredible and unique. Some gamers spend many hours playing Minecraft, as this is where they can unleash their imagination and create something amazing that they have never been allowed in other computer games. Buildings in Minecraft - this is what you should pay attention to Special attention. Again, no one forces you to be creative - you can dig yourself a dugout where monsters can't get through, and be happy with what you have. Or you can create huge and breathtaking designs, the most spectacular of which will be discussed later.

Castle construction

One of the first buildings that comes to mind when talking about imposing buildings in Minecraft is a castle. Here you have the opportunity to give free rein to your imagination, since there is no universal scheme or recipe. Everyone can build their own castle to their liking, but the principle is about the same for everyone. Main distinguishing feature the construction process is an incredible cost of resources. If you do not have huge stocks of stone, wood and other objects, then you better not take on the construction of the castle. Its biggest plus is its size and impressive appearance, but it is worth noting that you will have to build it for a very long time. So if you are not ready for this, then you better consider other buildings in Minecraft.

Construction of an underwater house

A design that is almost completely submerged under water looks much more exotic. Buildings in Minecraft are usually placed on land, but this building is an exception. It's submerged so no monsters can get to you, your home can't be seen, and you'll always have a reliable source of food in the form of fish and seafood. But similar building Naturally, there are also disadvantages. First of all, it is fragility - if you lose one block, then the entire space inside the house will be flooded. You can die, and the work of several days will go down the drain. In general, this is a very unusual structure, but it is very difficult to see it. So you can also consider beautiful buildings in minecraft.

Flying island

If you want to surprise other players, then you can try building a flying island. It's pretty difficult task, but you can make beautiful buildings in Minecraft in an amazing place. So, you need to climb with the help of pillars to a certain height, and then start constructing an inverted pyramid there, that is, a figure that will expand upwards. This will be your island. When it is ready, you can build various structures on it that will decorate it. What exactly? This is a matter of your imagination. You can choose any real-life palace, create a wizard's hut that keeps the earth in the air, and so on. You can set anything here for them, they can be both simple and complex. As in the whole game, no one will limit you on the flying island. Just always be careful not to fall down and die.

More flying structures

For this structure, you will need a special mod that will allow you to create flying vehicles in the air. This is not building a beautiful house in Minecraft, this is a much more complex undertaking that is fraught with a huge number of dangers. So, you again need to climb as high as possible, where you will carry out the construction. Then you need to create a base for your airship, and then complete its construction and provide it with a control unit so that it is not dead weight, but real vehicle. But you should understand that it is very difficult to build such a structure, plus everything, you will constantly have to control the control unit so that the transport does not fly away to where you are unlikely to return it. If you don't want to take that kind of risk, then you can look at all the Minecraft house building schemes and choose something beautiful, but not so complicated.

Skyscraper

If ordinary houses you are not quite satisfied, then turn your attention to something more original. You may like the more imposing ones in Minecraft. You can find schemes for them on the Internet, or you can completely plan them yourself. For example, if you have enough experience in a given game, you can create a skyscraper. The principle is quite simple: you decide on a plan, create one floor, and then start building other floors above it in the same way. This is a very long and complicated process, but just imagine what awaits you in the end - your own multi-storey skyscraper, in which absolutely all floors are residential. This means that on a multiplayer server, this building will bring you both universal recognition and impressive benefits.

Houseboat

You have already read about the possibility of creating your own shelter under water, but it is almost invisible, so it can hardly be attributed to the section of beautiful structures. But if you raise this house and place it not under water, but on the water? This will be a great solution, since you will be able to build an original and unusual design. But then again, it will not be easy for you to finish the construction process, since it is very difficult to do this on the water. However, in the end you will get a houseboat, an island or even a ship - it all depends on what goals you set for yourself.

Imagination

So you've learned about some of the popular beautiful designs, which require great skill, but at the same time provide incredible returns. As a result, you will get guaranteed quality constructions that people will like. But you don't have to use ready-made schemes and recipes, you can always connect your imagination to the maximum and create something completely original, which the world of Minecraft has never seen before. And if your imagination works at a sufficient level, then everything should work out for you, since the whole world represents one big resource for you. You have no time, budget, or material restrictions. You have everything, and you can turn it into the most beautiful and impressive building that currently exists in Minecraft.

Oddly enough, but it is this question that most often arises before users. Sometimes you really want to do something new and unusual, so here you will find out what you can build in Minecraft by studying the instructions and helpful tips. You already know that any self-respecting player will confidently say that the genre of the game is sandbox. This means that while playing, you can create anything you want using the available materials, and some specific task, other than survival, does not exist.

Introduction

If you wish, you can travel the world, hunt, fish, garden or contact other players online. There are no restrictions - neither in space, nor in possibilities. There is even a game mode in which all resources for buildings, food and tools are fully available in unlimited quantities.

It is precisely because of the wide range of possibilities that the game attracts more and more people around the world, and a considerable number of them prefer to devote most of their time to such an activity as the construction of buildings and other structures that are pleasing to the eye and allow you to improve your architectural skills!

Any activity, even a game that initially seems like a trifle, requires detailed knowledge of all the nuances. If you decide to devote your free time to building in Minecraft, you must, first of all, know all the little things in more detail. Having studied the basics and basics, you can begin to think about what, after all, is affordable to build. The process of creating buildings in the game is elementary and understandable to everyone. The whole world is a system of blocks: trees, grass, earth, stones, minerals, and even water are perfectly cube-shaped blocks, and it is from these cubes that you have to build.

Something can be easily obtained with bare hands, for example, wood or earth, but for something you need special tools: a pick for stone, an ax for rare woods, a shovel for earth. The resulting blocks can be placed side by side and stacked on top of each other: this is how the outlines of your future building will appear. Each material has its own specific structure and color, which allows you to take the process seriously. So, gradually you can go headlong into the process and show your imagination to the fullest.

base building

On the one hand, the construction of beautiful buildings, sculptures and three-dimensional paintings from blocks is important, however, on the other hand, on the very first night of the game, the player will need, first of all, a roof over his head, so it is necessary to build comfortable buildings. It is because of this that professional players first think not about beautiful tall buildings, but about functional shelter.

The goal - to create such a shelter - is feasible simply and fairly quickly, because the usual basic box house does not require a lot of effort and resources to create, and it does not take much time to build it. It is enough just to put four walls, a couple of windows and a door, make a floor and a roof - you're done!

Of course, such a building will look meager and uncomfortable, but it will protect you on the first game nights during the invasion of evil game mobs. Thus, the base house will perform its main function of protection. The issue of appearance is a secondary matter, and it will be possible to start thinking about it later, when there will be enough resources and time to modernize it.

Creating a more comfortable home

Gradually, around the base building, it will be possible to build new, high walls from more attractive materials, remove the old ones, build a cozy porch, divide the dwelling into rooms and insert wide windows to make the house a cozy nest and a place to store valuable resources that can be stored in roomy chests.

So, new housing will soon become a familiar place, and you can feel like a professional builder and designer. A huge advantage of the Minecraft game is the absence of any time or space frames, speed missions and other components of any other game. Gradually, the fact that it will please the eye will be added to the protective function of your home.

How to make a portal in Minecraft?

Undoubtedly, any player needs a house. However, all game construction should not be limited to a couple of houses and the arrangement of a found cave with minerals. Along with housing, there are many other options for possible buildings that differ in shape, size and a number of functions they perform.

Gradually, you realize that the world in Minecraft is huge and it is quite difficult to move between locations without special means. Along with the advent of new territories, an excellent structure appeared in the game - a portal that allows you to instantly move from one world to another. In addition, there is a special mod that allows you to build portals to be transferred from one specific point on the map to another, for example, home.

The first official addition to existing worlds was the introduction of Hell. None separately existing world it is impossible to build, therefore, to access even the End, one cannot do without a portal. In this case, the portal acts as a link between the worlds - a kind of bridge between them.

The main component for its construction is obsidian, which is impossible to find without making an effort. Obsidian is mined only with the strongest type of equipment, for example, a diamond pickaxe, the search and extraction of diamonds for which can also become a separate long adventure.

Having obtained obsidian, it is necessary to find a site suitable in size for the construction of the portal. The obsidian frame - the basis of the future portal - consists of four blocks lined up horizontally and five standing one on top of the other vertically. To activate the portal and possibly move to the Ender, you need to set fire to the base of this obsidian frame, for which a lighter is used.

To create a lighter, you need to have one ingot of iron and one flint. As soon as you light the base, you will notice how the portal is covered in haze. It is in it that you need to get up to start teleportation. The process itself lasts a few seconds and resembles a short dizziness.

Thus, you find yourself in Ender, where a huge amount of resources becomes available that do not exist in the ordinary world: a bright glowing stone, an infernal brick, soul sand that slows down movement, and flammable blocks that make up all of Hell as a whole. In addition, when you get to the End, you will get acquainted with various mobs, which also do not exist in the ordinary world. Some are purely hostile, others are neutral, but killing them will allow you to get a lot of different useful materials and resources.

There are also portals to Paradise, the materials for the construction of which, oddly enough, must be sought in Hell. The box for such portals is no longer built from obsidian, but from luminous stone. The scheme for using the portal to Paradise is similar to the previous one.

How to build a village?

Many novice players find it impossible to meet people other than themselves in a single player game. In fact, everything is wrong, and they are wrong. In the usual game world, there are villages modeled by the system, which, thanks to the Russian translation, began to be called cities out of habit. However, in the original English they remain "village".

Mobs always live in such villages - villagers. If you plan to stay in the village or just stay there for a considerable amount of time, gradually you will begin to notice that over time the villagers begin to form their attitude towards you. The better it is, the more profitable it will be for you to deal with them.

All villagers are good traders, so it is very important to maintain friendly relations with them, because otherwise it will become impossible to establish trade relations with them due to extremely high prices. When unacceptable violent acts are committed against the villagers, their protector, a high golem, comes into play.

So, you can find such a settlement on the map, just by making a short trip around the world, but you can also create it yourself. To build a whole full-fledged village in Minecraft, you don't need to search a large number of materials - it is enough just to have enough special seeds. It is necessary to plant these seeds, and ordinary villagers will appear from them. It is enough just to leave them for one or two nights, and they will take over the construction of the whole village. What to do next with this village is entirely up to you.

Knowing how to build entire villages in Minecraft is, of course, useful, but this is not enough. Having a whole complex of structures, it is important to know how to properly protect it and protect it from any kind of danger to residents. There is a need to protect not only own house, but also other important objects and points on the map. The main difficulty of this mission is the inability to move as quickly as possible between objects, especially if the distance between them is especially huge. In this case, it is necessary to install traps for mobs.

The trap system is simple. All you need is gear, red dust, a little imagination, and a switch of some kind. You can create mechanisms that will explode, shoot, set off alarms and much more. It is important to correctly connect the switch, which will take over the activation of the entire trap mechanism as a whole. It can be a lever, a button, a brace or a pressure plate. It is necessary to connect both important elements with red dust, and the trap is ready! The mechanism of its action is extremely simple: the ill-wisher accidentally activates the mechanism and will be destroyed.

Farm construction

It is important during the game to pay attention not only to health, but also to the hunger scale. The less hungry you are, the faster regeneration occurs, so it is very important to eat on time. Food can be found in nature on your own: killing livestock for meat, fishing or gardening.

Many are wondering how to build a farm in Minecraft. There is no definite answer to it, because each player relies solely on his own experience in the construction of such systems, which do not require any precision and the implementation of strict instructions.

There are many recommendations that can be followed when placing various objects on specific types of farms. Any kind of farm will fully provide you with food or the necessary resources, if you know how to create and maintain it correctly. It is important to know that all animals need to be fed periodically in order for them to multiply, and all crops need regular watering or near a water source.

Building your own castle

Like the question about farms, there is no clear answer on how to build a castle in Minecraft. But the desire to have your own castle wakes up in every fan who knows the taste of the game. Of course, it is not for everyone to undertake such a construction that requires responsibility and a lot of time, but only for those who are well aware of what they are doing and how much effort it will take to expend. However, the process is worth the result - a beautiful majestic castle.

When building your own castle, it is important to take into account the architecture and the fact that without some elements the building itself will not take place as a castle. The first such element is the defensive tower. There must be several. Its shape, color and size will again completely depend on your imagination.

However, it is worth considering that you should get a tall and narrow vertical structure that will allow you to have an excellent view from its highest point. This review will allow you to most accurately shoot at the enemy. A handy weapon in this case is a bow with arrows. Some mods may allow you to make neutral creatures lookouts.

As for defensive structures, in general, it is extremely difficult to manage with one or two towers. That is why it is important to build a whole wall for defense. And although most mobs are not able to climb over a wall two or more blocks high, you should not forget that your player character will also not be able to overcome such a height, so do not forget about the construction of the gate.

Conclusion

Any decorative structures are also important! Not all buildings in the Minecraft game can be useful. Some of them do not carry any benefit, but they can, however, be whole masterpieces of art, the creator of which will not be ashamed to show them to others. Thanks to such structures, any tasteless building becomes a pleasing sight!

Now you just have to grab hold of your imagination and start creating and creating. We hope that this article was useful for you, so we welcome your comments. Share the news with your friends! Thank you!

What can be built in Minecraft?

In the modern exciting game Minecraft, you can build amazing buildings, mechanisms, railways, metro, caves and much more: it all depends on the flight of your imagination. And if you are building on a multiplayer server, other players will be able to help you with materials and tips. From our article you will learn what can be built in Minecraft, and we will also give several examples of various buildings and tell you how and what they are made of.

What can be built

There are training grounds in the game where you can try to make your creation according to the template. Game Mode"Creativity" allows you to make various buildings from various materials: the fact is that in this mode everything is available to you for construction, and you can also fly. After you practice, you can start creating your own masterpieces. But before that, it is best to sketch out on paper a plan of what you are going to build and calculate how much materials will be needed. Your building in the multiplayer version can even become a decoration of the server.

You can also try to build a story location with interesting traps and a labyrinth where other players can complete your challenge, which can make you a very popular person in the game. You can make traps from a resource such as red dust (analogous to electricity). You can also hide your labyrinth under some building or build it far from the city or in some abandoned city (by building a portal to it), and then write some secret books about its location and come up with an exciting story.

More detailed information about building a portal to the city you can find in the instructions from our article. When you get tired of mastering the construction of buildings, you can move on to the creation of large-scale mechanisms: this usually requires large areas, but you can build a sawmill, as well as equipment such as a computer processor or even a calculator. Well, now it's time to tell you how to build a variety of buildings.

DIY buildings and structures

Let's look at several options for residential buildings, because they are necessary to defend against hostile monsters at night.

Shelter for emergencies

A house on a tree

To build, you need 3 stacks of blocks, glass or glass panels, a lot of stairs, and, well, the tall tree itself. By installing a wide platform (can be made from planks), you can place support posts and railings (for realism) and a door for the house on it, as well as make several floors by extending the column. Next, you have to repeat the construction of the platform, etc., everything will depend on the flight of your imagination.

If the house is located on a tropical island, stairs will not be useful, because you can climb vines. With such a house, you can safely spend time, it reliably protects against mobs (computer enemies). And if you have a weapon available - a bow, then from a height you can fire at both mobs and players. The view from the top of the playing space is wonderful, and the area below is also clearly visible.

In order not to bother looking for a suitable tree for the house, you can grow it yourself - for example, oak. To do this, you need to install 5 blocks of wood in the place you need, put earth on them and plant a seedling in it, which can be plucked from a tree. Water is not required for tree growth. After the tree has grown, it is necessary to replace the earth with wood. Thus, you can grow several trees and build houses on them, connecting them with bridges: you will get a real unique "city on the trees".

The fountain

We learned how to build a shelter and a tree house, now let's try to build a fountain with our own hands. To build a fountain, you need to build a figure from 8 x 8 blocks, dig a small hole to 1 level of blocks and install stairs in the middle. Next, install blocks in 1 row on the stairs, and on top of the blocks, 2 more stairs, on which you need to install 2 plates. After you place water in each slab, the fountain will start working.

You can decorate it with grass blocks, and if you install a glowstone inside, it will give beautiful romantic lighting. And if you install lava instead of water, then you will get an unusual fountain with additional lighting. This fountain will be great. decorative element near any of your buildings.

Equipping the house and the external territory, do not forget to make defensive structures as well. Let's look at, for example, how to make a minefield.

Minefield

It is done according to this principle: a pit of 1 x 1 x 2 blocks is dug, on the bottom of which you need to put TNT and close it with a block from above, and a pressure plate is installed on top of the block. This way, you can set a few mines in the right places - just remember to replace if some of them explode. The mines deal high damage when exploding, and can also be activated from a safe distance using a redstone. You can get red stone in caves (from red ore) using an iron or diamond pickaxe. After the destruction of such ore, you will receive up to 5 blocks of red stone (it is also called red dust).

Of course, each of us wants the most beautiful and best home for ourselves. The virtual world is no exception, in which it often becomes much easier to realize dreams. What should we build a house in Minecraft. All that is needed is that there are a lot of different blocks that are in abundance in creative mode, and in survival they are quite easy to get and craft the ones you need from different natural materials.
Self-building a house is a long and painstaking business, so please be patient.

How to build a block house

To start construction, you must clearly imagine the project according to which you will build the building. Step by step master class first house:

A beautiful house has a lot of light and glass, use these blocks when building. Walkthrough for the construction of a second house:

You can speed up the process by installing plugins for WorldEdit and MCBuild schemas. Next, you need to download the schemes themselves (files with the .schematic extension) and by simply typing the /mcbuild command with the building number in the chat, the house will be ready instantly.

Another thing is if you decide to make a house not with your own hands, but by installing a map, then everything will be even easier. Download the map with the house you like, put it in the save folder and voila - you have a new home.

Cards with beautiful houses

Let's agree right away that only houses will be on this page. No castles or fortresses.
A small house with all amenities at the foot of the hill is a map of the Temple of Guam:

Watercliff Manor - luxurious mountaintop mansion:

The house has everything for life for your own pleasure - a TV on the entire wall, a music center, a huge library and a bedroom. A bonus is a huge pool behind the house, even with a tower from which you can dive headfirst into the cool water:

Cozy Winter Cabin is a cozy little hunting lodge, apparently somewhere beyond the Arctic Circle. Accordingly, it is quite deserted around and you have to arrange everything here:

Heziriel Island - a small island with hills and a beautiful neat house:

And finally minecraft house- the real house of the real minecrafter. It looks simple, but it is worth looking inside, and it will win your heart forever:
