New plan heating system. Heating plan: technical characteristics and advantages of the heating system plan. What is Film Radiant Electric Heater

We are used to counting gas heating the best option in every way. But what if the use of this fuel is out of the question? We have to look for alternative solutions. One of them is PLEN heating.

About PLEN in a nutshell

The abbreviation PLEN stands for film radiant electric heater. Heating is carried out by converting electrical energy into infrared radiation. The system itself is a kind of cake of non-conductive polymer films and resistors enclosed between them.

When passing electric current through resistors, they heat up, transfer heat to the distributing surface from the composition with high rates thermal conductivity, and it emits infrared waves with a length of 9-12 microns. Radiation hits the opposite surface, which absorbs radiant energy and releases heat. Manufacturers use solar energy as an example, offering you to heat yourself with your own Sun. What do we really have, and if we get together, how will we install the PLEN with our own hands?

How it works

  • You mount the system and connect it to the mains.
  • Flowing through the resistive elements located between the PLEN films, Electric Energy converted to heat. Due to direct contact with aluminum foil, which covers the entire plane of the film, heat transfer is ensured and, further, heat distribution over the entire substrate.
  • Proper placement of resistive elements favorably affects the creation of a layer, in different points maintained at nearly the same temperature.
  • The surface heated to a temperature of 40-45 °C becomes a source of infrared radiation in the medium wave range.
  • Reaching the opposite surface (in our case, this is the floor), the radiation is absorbed with the release of heat.
  • Thus, we get a heating surface with a relatively low temperature, evenly heated and warming up the heavy lower layers of air and further - throughout the room.

Specifications PLEN

For clarity, we summarize the technical characteristics declared by the manufacturer in a small table.

The film differs in power density: 100-150 W/m2. The choice is determined by the height of the ceiling - the higher it is, the more power is needed, because. part of the radiation will be scattered in the air, not reaching the target. Manufacturers recommendations are as follows:

  • at a height of up to 3 m - 125 W / m2;
  • at a height of 3-4.5 m - 150 W / m2

However, height is not the only factor. The choice is influenced by the climate - a lot depends on the average temperature in winter. Accordingly, the colder, the greater the power density of the film.

Advantages and disadvantages

We will not list all the advantages of PLEN, which you can already find on the official website of the manufacturer. Down with all this advertising tinsel! Let's just figure out whether it is realistic to use such heating in a private house or apartment and how it can actually turn out.

  • Dimensions. We have already given the technical characteristics of the film above, and it is difficult to argue with the fact that such a heating system is compact in size. It takes up almost no space and can be mounted on any surface. But most often it is the floor or ceiling.
  • Mounting. We will deal with this issue below when we describe self-installation film, but already now we can say that the process is simple and does not require special knowledge. Given the small mass of the film, work can be carried out even without assistants. The terms depend on the area of the premises, but usually when working on 70-80 squares it takes 2-3 days.
  • Low inertia of the heating system. Unlike traditional heating options, it becomes possible to quickly change the microclimate, at which the temperature in a single room can quickly change depending on the set parameters.
  • Fire safety. Turning a blind eye to the possibility of a short circuit with all the ensuing consequences, in all other cases, PLEN is one of the safest options. After all, the material heats up to a maximum of 45 degrees.

We will not include automation in the list of advantages, because. all modern systems are fine-tuned. We also did not include "economical" and "low cost" in this list, because. in this case, they would have twisted their hearts. After all, heating with electricity, in whatever form it takes, has been and remains the most expensive. The same applies to the cost of the film itself - there are cheaper options. The gain in power consumption may be due to fine tuning of the system. And, of course, we do not have the right to use the service life of the PLEN as an example, because there are no real buyers who would use this type of heating for any long time.

There are also some disadvantages:

  • Finishing. The manufacturer's website states that the film can be hidden under any finishing material containing no metals. Let's say we hide the PLEN under the lining in the country. And we get a cake with several heating surfaces: the heat will go from the resistive elements to the foil, from it to the lining. The lining will not even be a secondary, but a tertiary source of infrared radiation, which means that the effectiveness of such heating may raise some questions, because the entire plane will be heated. Yes, this is not bad if we are talking about a warm field, but what's the point in a warm ceiling? The manufacturer limits the use of finishes by providing tables with thermal resistance values for various coatings, thereby actually confirming our fears regarding the drop in the efficiency of PLEN heating during its decoration. It is for this reason that lattice structures are used as decor (through, with with total area coatings of about 50%), which transmit infrared radiation better.
  • Design. We figured out that the film does its job better if it is not covered by anything (at least this is the situation with the ceiling). However, you can leave it like that only at some enterprise, for example, in the same wood drying chamber.

Estimated prices

One can endlessly look for the advantages and disadvantages of the system, but today, when in the country in again the crisis is raging, it's time to think about the price. Let's get to the price!

* - IP-67 - the degree of protection of the shell against dust (full) and withstands short-term immersion in water to a depth of 1 m.
** - IP54 - degree of protection against dust (partial, incoming dust does not affect the operation of the device) and protection against incoming water splashes is provided

Do-it-yourself installation of PLEN

The film can be attached to any surface, but the traditional solution involves mounting to the ceiling or floor. In general, the simplified technology looks like this:

  • creation of an intermediate protective layer of thermal insulation. The task is simple - to direct thermal energy in the right direction, because there is no particular point in warming up the floor material. For these purposes, the manufacturer recommends using thermal insulation with a thermal resistance of 0.05 m2C / W - any insulation is suitable for this brand;
  • fastening PLEN, to the base. To the crate or directly on the thermal insulation, facing inside the room. For installation, use staples and a stapler or self-tapping screws;
  • electric installation work;
  • flooring or decorative layer

The choice of mounting location is of great importance. Pay attention to the platforms above the doors, windows and ventilation outlets, as they are the main constructs through which heat is lost. Of course, provided that all other parts of the house are fully insulated. Depending on the climatic conditions, under the PLEN is allocated from 60-80% of the floor or ceiling area. For example, at an average annual temperature of less than -7 °C, the area is increased to 80 percent or more. If the average temperature for the year does not fall below +3 ° C, then you can install a film in the amount of 50-60% of the area of \u200b\u200bthe room.

And a few more important notes:

  1. Examination. In order to avoid unpleasant consequences, before installing the film, it is worth checking the integrity of its heating elements. This must be done with a tester. Usually the percentage of marriage is small, but improper transportation and storage can make their own adjustments.
  2. Scheme. To optimize the wiring diagram, remember that the contact output should be directed towards the shield.
  3. Fasteners. Each PLEN sheet has mounting zones (fields) that are used for fastening to the base. Violating the integrity of the film outside these fields is highly discouraged.

Ceiling installation

We note right away that the authors of this article consider the installation of a PLEN on the ceiling, when used for heating residential premises, somewhat untenable - the same effect can be achieved with a “warm floor” design. Another thing is in production, etc. But it will be ... After all, it is he who we will consider in more detail;)

How much do you love high ceiling? If you are willing to sacrifice only 15 cm, then the film will need to be attached directly to the insulation. If you have the opportunity to exceed this bar, then the installation will be carried out on a crate, between the slats of which heat-insulating material will be laid.

We will assume that the base is properly prepared, which means that it does not require additional repairs, leveling, etc. Below, for example, we will use the option of working in a round log house. What do we need first? As a reflective thermal insulation, we will use a material of the isolon type. We will also need construction stapler, a clerical knife and the so-called aluminum tape, with which we will glue all joints in order to avoid additional heat loss through the ceiling.

Pre-measure sections of the ceiling and cut the isolon right size. Then, using a stapler, the material is attached to the ceiling. Seams between separate sheets sealed with tape carefully.

Excess isolon is not a problem - they can be cut off with a clerical knife. Much worse if you cut too small pieces. In this case, you will have to dodge and seal the resulting voids with strips of thermal insulation. Remember, more seams equals worse insulation.

The next stage concerns the direct do-it-yourself PLEN heating device. To do this, we need the actual heating film, a soldering iron and bells and whistles for it (solder and soldering acid), insulation stripping tools, connecting wires, a thermostat, a modular contactor and a plastic box.

With a step of approximately 30 cm, a film for heating is attached using a stapler within the installation fields. The wires are brought out to one side and temporarily left free.

Subsequently, for aesthetic reasons and for safety, it is better to hide the wires in a PVC box. It is better to fix it in the right position already at this stage, before soldering - it is more convenient and easier. Using a screwdriver, we make small holes, push the wires through them, and only after that we fix the box to the ceiling.

At the next stage, we need to securely solder the wires from the PLEN. From here, the soldering iron will become the main tool, the main materials are acid and solder. Please note that for convenience, we demonstrate the work in the "on the table". You also have to be in a not very comfortable position, under the ceiling.

Carefully strip the wires, it is advisable not to damage any core. Divide the strands into two equal parts about 2 cm long.

A similar operation must be performed with another wire. Next, the cores need to be twisted as shown in the photo below. This will ensure maximum contact between the cores.

As a result, we will get two paired connections. They need to be twisted together.

We cut off the excess part, about a third, and proceed to soldering. Pre-degrease the surface with acid.

And solder ... It is convenient to use a piece of plastic insulation taken from a thicker wire as insulation. We select the size in such a way that the insulation exceeds the length of the junction twice.

It remains to securely fix the electrical insulation. For these purposes, using the same soldering iron, gently heat the plastic. In this case, the polymer changes in size, which ensures its tight fit to the junction. One connection is ready. We do the same when we need to connect the next two wires in series.

As a result, the result of the work will look like it is shown in the photo below.

However, the wires will need to be connected not only in series, but also with a branch. For these purposes, we expose the future attachment point without damaging the integrity of the cores. Approximately 1 cm of such a site will be enough. Using a slotted screwdriver, we divide the bundle of cores into two approximately equal parts.

You will get a circle into which you need to insert the bare end of the connected wire.

Now you need to wrap the previously formed circuit with the free end of the wire, degrease the contact point and securely solder the connection.

The final stage is the creation of an insulating layer according to the same principle as before. As a result, we should get something like what is shown in the photos below.

The two main wires are pulled along ceiling plinth to the side electrical panel. The case for small - hide it from prying eyes under the plastic box.

PLEN heater connection diagrams

The following work involves connecting the wires to the shield through a modular contactor. At this stage, the thermostat is connected. Without extra words we give several possible schemes for connecting heaters through a modular contactor.

The type of electrical input depends on the total power of the entire load. If this value does not exceed 5kW, then a single-phase input is suitable, with large values three phase must be used. Control equipment is selected in accordance with the following recommendations: a margin of 15-20% of the required current and the use of automatic machines with an electromagnetic splitter.

The temperature controller must be mounted at a height of 1.5 m. Mounting is carried out on a layer of thermal insulation (cut out along the area of \u200b\u200bthe controller). In our case, the result of the work looks like in the photo below. If the film is left in this form, then its appearance will be out of harmony with the authentic interior design. wooden house. Something to decorate...

When choosing a decor, look to thermal resistance material did not exceed the limit values. So, when using a film at 125 W / m2, it should not exceed 0.16 m2 * K / W, for 150 W / m2 - no more than 0.13 0.16 m2 * K / W. Solid Coatings it is better not to use it, but to do it like the grandmother in the video below.

Floor installation

To create a "warm floor" system, a modification of the PLEN-2 film is used. Used in conjunction with the main heating system. The installation area is determined depending on the size of the living areas of the residents. The do-it-yourself installation sequence looks something like this:

  1. check the film with a multimeter;
  2. preparing the floor for work. The subfloor must be level horizontal plane, be durable and not sag under the weight of residents and interior items. Needless to say, before installation, it must be thoroughly cleaned of any debris;
  3. layout scheme. PLEN will be mounted with some indents depending on the location of the furniture, because. under it, the feasibility of installing such heating is zero;
  4. floor insulation. All the same material such as isolon is used - any reflective insulation will do. The material is fixed with staples and a stapler, the joints between the sheets of thermal insulation are closed with a special aluminum tape;
  5. film work. The conclusions of the wires with the PLEN are oriented towards the skirting boards in accordance with the location of the power wire. The film itself can be fixed to the insulation with brackets (within the mounting fields) or with adhesive tape;
  6. installation of a thermostat with a temperature sensor. There are two options here: use remote sensor and fix it at a height of 30 cm from the floor, or embed it directly into the floor (place it in the corrugation on the transparent area of the film). Connection to the shield is carried out similarly to work with the ceiling

Finally

Everything that we could say about PLEN heating - useful and not very useful - we tried to reveal in this short article. We tried to be objective: we did not advertise, but we did not strongly criticize this type of heating either. Trust this product or not - it's up to you;)

Thank you for the advice of the official manufacturer of the system infrared heating PLEN - ESB-Technologies Company.

Almost every year on the market heating technology new means of space heating are emerging. All these products are united by one common feature: they are served by the seller as products of high modern technologies. A particularly wide range of electric heaters, a prominent representative of which is the PLEN heating system, which has already gained considerable popularity in the post-Soviet countries. This material is for those who want to get basic information about these systems, their actual advantages and disadvantages.

Acquaintance with PLEN heating

As you might guess, PLEN is an abbreviation. The full name sounds like this: "film radiant electric heater." After reading the name, you can immediately understand a few things about these products:

  • the heater is a film and most likely very thin;
  • that the heat it gives off is infrared radiation;
  • that the source of energy for the operation of the heater is the electrical network.

Indeed, PLEN heating systems are a thin heating element enclosed between two layers of durable polymer film. The first products that managed to become a thing of the past had an element made of an alloy of metals. Now, as a heating layer, manufacturers everywhere use carbon (carbon) fiber. The film is rolled into a roll of a certain length; there are special contacts for supplying electricity to the heating element. The device of the product is shown in the figure:

Note. Some manufacturers offer a film with a reflective foil layer to direct all the heat in one direction. For other products, in which there is no such layer, its device is required from the outside. That is, before laying under the film, a layer of foil insulation is placed to direct infrared radiation in one direction.

The operating principle of the film device is as follows: the carbon heating layer converts electrical energy into thermal energy with an efficiency of about 98%, as a result of which the film surface is heated to 45-50 °C. As a result, radiant heat is released, heating the planes and objects in the room that have come under the direct action of infrared waves. The air temperature in the room begins to rise, receiving heat from these objects. The table below shows the technical characteristics of PLEN heaters:

Note. All technical specifications and other data are taken from the Internet resource of the official PLEN dealer and are reliable.

Application methods

It is not possible to clearly outline the scope of these products, it is easier to say that they can be used everywhere, in all types of buildings. As for the installation site, PLEN infrared heating can be placed:

  • on ceilings behind a decorative coating;
  • under flooring;
  • on the walls.

Each of these methods has its pros and cons. Ceiling mounting ensures uniform distribution of infrared waves in the room and their unhindered access to all horizontal surfaces. The downside is that the principle described by the saying: “keep your head cold and your feet warm” is violated. People in a room with a working ceiling system PLEN may feel discomfort due to heating of the head and coolness in the legs.

Note. The manufacturer does not explain how infrared radiation overcomes the barrier in the form decorative finishes ceiling, it is allowed to use any type, except for metal.

Most good option– install PLEN film heating in the floors. True, after that it ceases to be infrared and becomes convective, since the radiation is absorbed by the floor covering. Having warmed up, the parquet or laminate successfully transfers heat to the air of the room, due to which it enters just in time for the person's feet. The wall arrangement of heaters is very rare, since in this case many obstacles appear in the path of radiant energy in the form of furniture and household appliances, which makes no sense to heat.

Advantages of PLEN systems: truth and fiction

To find out the actual pros and cons of film heaters, we will present the advantages that the manufacturer declares and give an objective assessment of each of them. So, we have the following advantages of a film electric heater:

  • electromagnetic waves, whose length is in the infrared range, not only transmit comfortable warmth to the human body, but also have a beneficial effect on his health.

Statement about comfortable warmth true, but the statement about the therapeutic effect has no basis. In addition, direct infrared radiation does not always enter the room, as is the case with the floor placement of the PLEN system;

  • high environmental friendliness, no impact on the environment.

Certainly in the place where electric heaters exploited, harmful secretions missing. But not where electricity is produced.

  • This energy-saving economical heating allows you to save money.

This statement is incorrect and is a marketing ploy. In terms of power consumption, PLEN heaters are not at all more economical than the same electric convectors. The efficiency of both is at the level of 98-99%, that is, both types of heaters equally effectively convert electricity into heat. Savings can be achieved by heating only part of the room with a film system, leaving the other cold, or using traditional water heating for this purpose.

  • The product is durable and does not require maintenance.

That's right, the chances of polymer failure or carbon fiber burnout are very low unless you end up with a poor quality product. But these advantages are inherent in other electric heaters.

  • installation is simple and does not require large expenses.

As in the previous case, most electric heaters have this advantage, with the exception of floor cable systems. You can even install and connect PLEN radiant heating with your own hands. The statement is correct.

no noise and high level automation.

All electrical appliances, where there are no moving parts, operate almost silently. And here are some circuit breakers, working in tandem with the room thermostat, which controls the heating, emit sharp annoying clicks. In general, the characterization is correct.

  • rapid heating of the room.

This is not entirely true. The problem is that the infrared heating system uses an intermediary in its work - the surfaces and objects in the room. A person feels heat in 2 cases: being under the direct influence of infrared waves or in contact with warm air. In a film heating situation, people will feel the effect of heat immediately if they are under a direct stream of radiant heat. But the room will remain cold for a long time, while the convector, heating the air directly, will quickly raise the temperature in the entire room.

conclusions

The fact that the PLEN heating system is a product of high technology and meets all modern standards is beyond doubt. It is also true that it can provide comfortable heating of the home. But, according to real users, she does it better when joint work With traditional ways heating, when one system duplicates or periodically replaces another.

The question of the price of equipment is also important, the usual wall convector and its installation will be cheaper than film heaters. On the other hand, the installation of water or cable systems is more expensive than infrared heating. As for energy costs, their value for different types electric heaters is almost the same, because the amount of heat required for a building does not depend on its source.

We are accustomed to consider gas heating the best option in every respect. But what if the use of this fuel is out of the question? We have to look for alternative solutions. One of them is PLEN heating.

Two main wires are pulled along the ceiling plinth towards the electrical panel. The point is small - to hide it from prying eyes under the lid of a plastic box.

PLEN heater connection diagrams

The following work involves connecting the wires to the shield through a modular contactor. At this stage, the thermostat is connected. Without further ado, we present several possible schemes for connecting heaters through a modular contactor.

The type of electrical input depends on the total power of the entire load. If this value does not exceed 5 kW, then a single-phase input is suitable, for large values, a three-phase input should be used. The control equipment is selected in accordance with the following recommendations: a margin of 15-20% of the required current and the use of automatic machines with an electromagnetic splitter.

The temperature controller must be mounted at a height of 1.5 m. Mounting is carried out on a layer of thermal insulation (cut out along the area of \u200b\u200bthe controller). In our case, the result of the work looks like in the photo below. If the film is left in this form, then its appearance will be out of harmony with the authentic interior design of a wooden house. Something to decorate...

When choosing a decor, make sure that the thermal resistance of the material does not exceed the limit values. So, when using a film for 125 W / m 2, it should not exceed 0.16 m 2 * K / W, for 150 W / m 2 - no more than 0.13 0.16 m 2 * K / W. It is better not to use solid coatings, but to do it the way grandmother did in the video below.

Floor installation

To create a "warm floor" system, a modification of the PLEN-2 film is used. Used in conjunction with the main heating system. The installation area is determined depending on the size of the living areas of the residents. The do-it-yourself installation sequence looks something like this:

  1. check the film with a multimeter;
  2. preparing the floor for work. The draft floor must have a flat horizontal plane, be durable and not sag under the weight of residents and interior items. Needless to say, before installation, it must be thoroughly cleaned of any debris;
  3. layout scheme. PLEN will be mounted with some indents depending on the location of the furniture, because. under it, the feasibility of installing such heating is zero;
  4. floor insulation. All the same material such as isolon is used - any reflective insulation will do. The material is fixed with staples and a stapler, the joints between the sheets of thermal insulation are closed with a special aluminum tape;
  5. film work. The conclusions of the wires with the PLEN are oriented towards the skirting boards in accordance with the location of the power wire. The film itself can be fixed to the insulation with brackets (within the mounting fields) or with adhesive tape;

Immediate result scientific and technological progress is the creation of a new PLEN heating system, which is fundamentally different from everything that was previously presented on the consumer market.

It is impossible to explain in a nutshell what this nanotechnology is, although outwardly it resembles a special film that is simply mounted under the outer ceiling surface, but not everything is as simple as it seems at first glance. That is why this article will be devoted to the essence and principle of operation of PLEN heating, as well as personal experience use of this system by the average population of our country.

The principle of operation of the heating system PLEN

PLEN is a heating system based on the use of an electric film heater, the special design of which produces infrared radiation. The prototype of this technology is natural processes heat transfer, and the effect of its use is comparable with heat from the sun.

The film infrared heater has a multilayer lavsan structure, the total thickness of which does not exceed 1–1.2 mm. Inside the lavsan films there are built-in special heating metal elements, as well as aluminium foil, which can warm up to the maximum mark - 45 degrees. The above-mentioned lavsan material performs both an electrically insulating function and an externally finishing one.

When this system is turned on, current flows to the resistive elements, which in turn heat the foil. The resulting infrared rays, whose wavelength is 9.4 microns, heat interior items, equipment, gender, and even people present, is charged with their thermal energy and gives it back. Thus, the feeling of warmth and comfort will be preserved in all residential premises.

The PLEN system can be attributed to both the main and additional role for heating country house, apartments, warehouses or office buildings.

Mounting all equipment is different:

  • simplicity;
  • small labor costs;
  • execution speed.

For convenience, the film heater is produced in various parameters, namely: its length can vary from 1 to 5 meters, and its width can be 0.35 - 0.65 m.

It is installed on 80% ceiling surface and fits perfectly drywall constructions, tension or dropped ceilings. After activating the system, infrared streams slowly heat up the house and after 10-14 days are completely set at the level of normal distribution of thermal energy. The area of the house on which such a system can be installed does not matter, and the height should not exceed 3.5 meters.

The quality of work and the effectiveness of such technology is influenced by a number of factors, the non-observance of which can lead to a number of financial losses and moral dissatisfaction from its use. It is recommended to consider the following:

  1. Climatic parameters of the area. If the house is located in an area that is highly exposed to winds, then heat losses will be much greater, the system will turn on more often to maintain a comfortable temperature level, which, accordingly, will entail additional electricity costs;
  2. High quality home insulation. If you decide to install a PLEN heating system, then the most important condition that must be met is a well-insulated house. This applies to all structural elements: roofs, floors, walls, windows, ventilation systems, chimney etc. Otherwise, the loss of thermal energy will be very large even in the most calm and calm weather. Many do not think about these issues and as a result they get a poorly heated room, along with a huge item of electricity costs.
  3. famous and well established company installation of a film electric heater. Today, various Chinese fakes can be purchased on the market, the manufacturers of which bear absolutely no responsibility for their products, and their quality leaves much to be desired. This is what scammers and unscrupulous installation firms of this kind use. Therefore, before entering into a contract, study all the information, associated with the Plain heating installation company, namely its reputation, media coverage and license to carry out such work.

Pros and cons of a film electric heater

A fairly large list of advantages can be devoted to this type of heating system, which, according to manufacturers' forecasts, will help the film infrared electric heater to take a leading position in the consumer market. Disadvantages, of course, also make themselves felt, but they rather relate to the correct installation and operation of the equipment. So, advantages of PLEN heating are as follows:

The main disadvantages of film electric heaters are two main points. The first of them is the obligatory warming of the whole house, and the second lies in the impossibility of using it as interior decoration plastering, painting and wallpapering.

Feedback on heating PLEN

For a deeper acquaintance with film infrared heating, it would be advisable to consider the opinions of people who have already installed such equipment and have had experience of working with installation companies. Moreover, manufacturers cannot always tell all the nuances, especially if they have a negative connotation.

I am the owner of a new three-story house. Unfortunately, the possibilities of connection to gas or central heating not in our area. In 2012, I installed infrared heating on the ground floor. I doubted it very much, but to my surprise a week later the temperature rose from -15 degrees to +20. Then, on the second floor, I mounted a mixed heating arrangement, namely in several rooms on the ceiling, and in the rest on the floor.

The next winter, they flew away on vacation and set the temperature controller to +18, upon arrival it was +21. For myself, I figured out that the supply and exhaust should work fine. At the end of one winter month, we paid 4500 rubles for electricity, this is together with the cost of a 100 liter water heater. In general, I am very satisfied with the heating and I recommend it to everyone.”

Dmitry, Cheboksary

I installed such a system in the summer of the year before last, turned it on in the fall and was very disappointed due to the high power consumption - about 1.5 more than I was promised. Several times during the winter, electricity was knocked out because the permissible load was exceeded. There was no money to do another heating, so he called the workers with service department. As it turned out, I had very poor insulation of the ceiling on the second floor, and in order not to knock out the electrician, they installed a maximum current relay. In the summer I insulated everything, and when autumn came, everything worked like a clock. So, in principle, I am satisfied, just if I knew some points in advance, the first year I would not have to face such problems. I advise you to consult more!”

Sergey, Moscow

My friends basked in this system and if not for this, they would never have installed it for themselves! Works great! I forgot what it was like to heat the stove, but I didn’t remove the batteries and the stove, and suddenly the light would be turned off at the most inopportune moment. I decided to put a separate counter on the Plan, so I can say that in the coldest month, 1870 kilowatts burned. Much more comfortable than with a stove, just set the temperature and that's it, the house heats up. The floor became very warm, we even walk without slippers. Now, when we leave for a long time, we set the temperature to 10-12 degrees without turning off the system and everything is fine. I am very pleased with Plan and I recommend him to everyone.”

Maxim, Rostov-on-Don

What can I say, the heating system works great. The heat is distributed evenly and softly, and the floors are always warm. I had this equipment installed only on the first floor, and when I decided to mount it on the second, I ran into problems. to my house need about 15 kW, and we are already using 14 kW. Now I think what to do. Or abandon the system altogether, or change input cable, but this requires the permission of power engineers and a powerful substation. So, such a system has problems during installation. Although personally I am pleased with her work and rate 5 plus.

Yuri, Volga region

Based on all of the above, we can make an affirmative conclusion that the Plain heating system itself very good quality and economical. But, good performance its work can be achieved only by taking into account all the nuances associated with the thermal insulation of the house, possible problems with the consumed electricity, as well as pay attention to good Maintenance by a company that deals installation work such equipment.

The company "Teply Mir Electro" offers efficient film electric heaters for "heating ceiling" heating systems. Optimum cost, choice of sizes, ease of installation and quick payback. Infrared heating works in any type of premises (house, dacha, cottage), is used as the main type of heating. No maintenance costs, material warranty - from 25 years.

Video reviews about PLEN

The device of the heating system in the house must be approached with all seriousness. Such thermal blocks should be durable, efficient, economical, safe for human health and, where possible, for environment. And among all the variety of heating structures, the PleEn heating system most of all meets these requirements. Her job is to heat the room by means of infrared radiation.

A bit of theory

What is PLEN heating system? This is a film radiant type heater powered by electricity. Such thermal device is a pair of thin film sheets, between which are located resistive infrared emitting elements.

We note right away that Plen is only an abbreviation, but not a trademark for a manufacturer of heating equipment. Although it is worth noting that both this company and others who have mastered the release of Plen are very decent quality, allow you to make a choice in favor of domestic products. Compared to foreign analogues, it is much cheaper, but the quality is not that lower, but even higher.

The advantage of this heat source is that it can be used on the ceiling, floor, walls. Entrance group etc. If the thermal insulation is done correctly, any installation site will function properly throughout the entire period of operation.

Principle of operation

Despite the fact that in film heaters, heat transfer also occurs when the conductors are heated, the principle of their operation is fundamentally different from resistive heaters, in which the power consumption is significant, and the heat transfer is minimal.

Web design

  1. wires for connecting the web to a 220 V network
  2. trade mark, mark, brand, as a rule, a hologram for high-quality protection of own products
  3. junction of wires and heating elements, completely isolated from outside interference
  4. heating resistive elements
  5. foil layer for correction and direction of thermal waves inside the room;
  6. a layer of polyester to protect all elements, along the edges of which free ends are left for high-quality and easy connection of the canvases to each other.

When the film web is connected to the mains, the resistors soldered between the layers of the thermal film receive a charge of energy that is required to warm them up.

The average temperature regime for heating the PleEn block is 45-50°C, which is quite enough to heat the resistors. As soon as the heating structural elements up to the set temperature, the emission of infrared radiation begins. It is evenly distributed throughout the heated room, gradually being absorbed by solid objects. Simply put, an infrared heating unit first of all warms up furniture, people, floor surfaces and wall coverings, which, in turn, emit secondary heat. It turns out that the room, which is equipped with Plen infrared heating, is filled with numerous heat-radiating sources.

In order to increase the efficiency of the PleEn heating system, it is necessary to perform thermal insulation of the surface before laying the thermal fabric. For these purposes, it is best to use foil film. This will eliminate heat loss and direct heat energy to a heated room.

If the building, which will be equipped with the Plen infrared heating unit, is insulated with a high-quality heat insulator, then it will take not so much time to warm up the resistive element itself. Once the room has reached the required temperature indicators, the PleEn heating system is turned off and on only to maintain comfortable conditions. So that the room maintains a constant temperature, set initially, it is recommended to turn on the heating device for 10-15 minutes. But the frequency of such inclusions largely depends on the rate of cooling of the room, but in any case, this allows you to significantly save costs on paying electricity bills.

This heating option can be an excellent additional heat source, and it can also be easily used as the main heater. The peculiarity of the IR film sheet is that it can be placed in any place convenient for you. It can be both a floor surface and walls, as well as a ceiling.

When PleN is used as the main source of heat, then in order to maximize the efficiency of such a heater, it covers at least 90% of the insulated surface.

According to reviews, warm ceilings PleN do an excellent job of heating preschool and school institutions, private houses, apartments multi-storey buildings and even industrial facilities.

Mandatory installation requirements

When installing PleEn infrared heating, the price of which depends on the manufacturer, it is necessary to take into account a lot of nuances:

  • security required level thermal insulation, which is due to SNiP;
  • the surface on which the heating film will be laid must be flat, clean, without any bulges and damage;
  • The efficiency of the IR heater will be extremely low if subjected to mechanical damage;
  • it is strictly forbidden to disassemble or cut the film electric heater

It is extremely undesirable to connect the newly purchased and not deployed heating element PleN to the mains. Otherwise, it may break the resistance rods.

  • connecting and checking the film ray heater is carried out only when the power supply is turned off;
  • to install the thermostat, you must use wooden stand covered with foil

  • the thermostat is mounted no lower than 170 cm from the level of the floor surface, and the wall on which it is located must be internal, and not external (in contact with the street);
  • the unfolded canvas is fastened with any convenient way, but the most effective in terms of speed and strength is a construction stapler.

Advantages of film IR heating

Even the ceiling can be insulated with such a heater

In comparison with others alternative sources heating IR film heating has a lot of advantages:

  • on condition correct installation and the operation of the heating cloth, the PleN heating system can last at least three decades;
  • no need to service the heating unit by employees service centers;
  • economic benefit - infrared heaters consume little electricity and at the same time are able to effectively heat the room;
  • quick payback on the purchase and installation of a thermal sheet financial resources- Literally in 1.5-2 years, the PleN heating system will more than pay for itself. average price- from 1600 rubles for square meter;
  • ease of installation, dismantling and transfer to another location on your own;
  • does not dry out the air in the room and does not burn oxygen;
  • environmentally friendly safety - infrared radiation can in no way harm the human body, as well as the environment
  • absence of noise and extraneous sounds during the operation of the heater;
  • almost all models of film infrared heating systems are protected from electric shock;
  • PLEN meets fire safety requirements;
  • no contraction usable area rooms due to the minimum thickness of the material;
  • high ratio useful action - 85-90%;
  • does not become unusable due to voltage fluctuations in the network and sudden power outages;
  • thanks to IR radiation, you can get rid of problems such as mold, dampness and high humidity;
  • high heating rate;
  • preservation of thermal energy for a long time after the heater is turned off;
  • the presence of an automated control unit, thanks to which you can easily control the heating process and adjust the temperature regime;
  • economic benefit - in comparison with other electric heaters, IR film heating systems save up to 70% of financial resources for the purchase of energy resources.

As of today, PleN is an innovative heating system, the popularity of which continues to grow every day. And this is not surprising, because, having an impressive number of advantages, such thermal installations have practically no disadvantages. The application of film radiant heater is the most the best choice for those who prefer warmth and comfort, and also care about their health and the health of their loved ones.
