Button assignment

Time setting

To program the clock, a joint long press on the II and III keys is performed, and then the driver enters the settings menu (by briefly pressing the I button). Arming and disarming

Trunk opening

Programming instructions

Before starting the setup, the security mode and the “Hands Free” function are disabled. To start the setting, a long press on the buttons I and II or on I and IV (to enter table 1 and 2, respectively) is performed. Then, by successive pressing (corresponding to the function number) on the IV button, a section is selected. The security complex gives siren signals confirming each keystroke. After entering the section, an additional signal is given by lamps and a siren (according to the serial number of the function).

The programming table given in the documentation contains explanations that allow you to correctly set the parameters. By pressing the buttons mounted on the communicator, the driver selects the desired parameter value (confirmed by siren signals and flashing alarm). To set up each function, you need to go through the entire algorithm again.

How to enable autoplay

To activate autorun, it is required to perform a complex action on the key fob buttons marked with numbers II and IV. The message Timer will turn on on the remote control panel, the frequency of repetitions is indicated in advance in the programming menu of the processor unit. Car alarm Sherkhan Magic does not allow simultaneous activation of 2 modes.

To ensure that the motor starts on a timer, it is necessary to set the clock and the operating parameters of the alarm clock. After pressing the buttons II and III together, the inscription Pro9 is activated on the display, further pressing the button II turns on the timer adjustment. The driver uses the buttons marked I and II respectively to change the hours and minutes. After adjusting the parameter, press the keys II and III.

The Sher Khan Madjikar 5 complex supports starting from external equipment. Additional programming of the processor unit is required to enable the motor to turn on. To save battery life, the number of restarts is set, the driver programs the number of repetitions, and the restriction can be removed.

Before using the function, it is necessary to enter the threshold values by programming the central unit. Simultaneous activation of automatic start by timer, temperature and voltage is allowed. The motor starts when the parameters fall below the threshold, but the repetition rate is limited by the timer settings.

Faults and their elimination

When the control panel and the head unit are out of sync, the command translation process is disrupted. The algorithm for re-entering the remote into memory depends on the settings of the head unit. To start the procedure, you need to turn the ignition on 3 times, and then turn the key to the "Off" position. After the flash is applied by external lighting equipment, the I button on the programmable remote control is pressed, and then, by analogy, the remaining devices are recorded (no more than 3). Each step of the procedure takes 4 seconds.

If a password entry algorithm has been programmed, then after a triple switching it is required to enter the first register of the code (by turning the ignition circuits on and off). The number of turns corresponds to the previously programmed figure. Then, using a similar procedure, the second register is entered (4 seconds are allotted for each setting step). After confirming the input (single flash of the lamps), the remote control codes are entered into the alarm memory.

A common malfunction of the Scher-Khan Magicar V 5 is a breakdown of the control panel caused by wear on the button mechanisms or moisture on the electronic components. To restore functionality, you need to disassemble the device, and then remove traces of oxidation and replace worn components. After unpacking and installing the system on the car, it is necessary to bring the main key fob into working condition. To do this, you will need to remove the dielectric gasket installed between the contact pads of the battery and the key fob power circuit.

Action algorithm:

Open the battery cover. To do this, open the latch and slide the cover to the bottom of the key fob.
Remove the battery from the compartment.
Remove the gasket located along the entire length of the element.
Return the battery to the local location, observing the installation polarity indicated on the sticker. If there is no marking, remember that the negative pole of the battery is always directed towards the antenna of the Sherkhan Magikar key fob.
Close the lid and lock the latch.

Autostart security system

Under the autostart of the system, they mean turning on and off the protection without pressing the buttons on the key fob. The mode is called “hands free” and is activated by pressing button one on the main key fob for two seconds. The system automatically turns on or off at a distance of up to 35 meters from the vehicle. When operating the alarm in conditions of strong interference, this distance can be reduced to 15 meters.

Auto engine start

When using automatic start, you need to remember and follow a few rules:

Using autorun is allowed only when the machine is placed in a ventilated area and subject to visual contact.
Do not start automatically when people are standing in front or behind the vehicle.
The parked car must be fixed with a working parking brake.
Before enabling the autorun feature on machines with manual method shifting speeds, it is necessary to set the "software neutral".
Monitor coolant or oil levels.
Set in advance on the microclimate control unit the direction of airflow and the desired air temperature in the cabin.
Do not pass the key fob to play with children.

Before turning on the engine start system on vehicles with a manual gearbox, the neutral position of the gearbox lever must be programmed. There are three options for this, the description of the steps for each of them is given below. The mode can be programmed through the system settings menu.

The first option provides:

Stop in a parking space, apply the parking brake, move the gearshift lever to neutral and remove the key from the lock cylinder.
With the engine still running, open the door, leave the vehicle and slam it behind you. The motor must stop.

If you need to pick up things from the trunk, then you should use the second option:

After setting the lever to the neutral position and turning off the ignition, the driver exits the car and does not close the door behind him.
Open the trunk and take out everything you need.
Close the door and then slam the luggage compartment lid. The engine will stop and be ready for automatic start.

The third option looks like this:

Set the neutral position and apply the parking brake.
Close doors.
Press button two on the key fob for two seconds.
Turn off the ignition and get out of the car.

When installing autorun on the machine, the neutral setting procedure is not required, just put the box selector in the parking mode.

To provide remote engine start, it is necessary to install a device to bypass the immobilizer.

The engine can be started by pressing the second key fob button. After starting the engine, the display will show the remaining operating time. This parameter is programmable and can be 45/25/15 or 5 minutes. If necessary, the car door can be opened by pressing the first button and within 20 seconds, insert the key into the lock and turn to the active ignition position.

Autostart by timer

To connect and disconnect the function, a short press on the buttons three and four is used, after which the icon with the inscription Timer will turn on on the screen.

There are two options for working, which are configured programmatically:

daily run, repeating every 24 hours;
auto-restart every 2/4/8 hours.

To enable daily start, a so-called redundant mode must be carried out.

For this you need:

Turn off the timer mode by briefly pressing buttons two and four.
To enter the setting, press buttons one and two for a few seconds.
Turn on the mode by pressing 13 times on the button four. Each press will be accompanied by a signal.
Select the repeat time by pressing the buttons (the second button gives a repeat of 8 hours, the third - 4 hours and the fourth - two hours).

Auto start by battery temperature and voltage

The engine is switched on according to the temperature inside the cabin minus 15 or 25 degrees in winter time and plus 60 in the summer.

Turn off the timer start mode.
Press button four 21 times.
Use the buttons to select the switching threshold (the fourth - plus 60, the third - minus 25 and the second - minus 15).
Enable timer.

When setting the voltage in the on-board network, the system will operate at a value of 11.5 V.

Press 20 times on the fourth button.
Turn on voltage start with button two.

In all warm-up modes, you can vary the operating time of the power unit.

For this, the steps are:

Press button number four twelve times.
Select the operating time using the buttons from the first to the fourth, choosing each time from the range of 5-15-25-45 minutes.

Scher-Khan Magicar 5 alarm auto start malfunctions

The main causes of malfunctions that are possible when auto-starting the Sher-Khan Magikar 5 alarm:

The engine does not start even though automatic start backup is running normally. The cause may be oxidized fuse legs in the power supply circuit of the main unit. Another reason may be the failure of the standard immobilizer crawler or the sticking of the contacts in the control relay.
The motor starts and then stalls after a few seconds of operation. At the same time, in normal mode, the engine starts without problems from the ignition switch. One of probable causes there may be damage inside the five-pin relay installed in the main unit.

If the engine start was unsuccessful, the security system will try to start again. After the 3rd unsuccessful attempt, the car alarm will go into standby mode. To restore the autorun function, it is necessary to diagnose the engine and the main systems of the car. Possible reasons the fact that the engine autostart does not work:

weak charge battery;
extremely low temperature engine in the cold season;
immobilizer problems limiting remote engine start;
malfunction of the electrical equipment of the car;
there is no control over starting the engine (the engine did not start, but there is smoke on the indicator, so a second attempt to start is not made);

Programming autorun time intervals

The car alarm provides programming of time intervals (autostart time) after two, 4 and 8 hours. The choice of a specific option is made depending on the operating conditions of the car, the condition of the engine and the battery. To start the programming operation, it is necessary to simultaneously long press the buttons I and II. Next, you need to perform the following operations in the following sequence:

Turn off the “timer” option (if it is activated) by briefly pressing buttons II and IV at the same time. The "timer" should be deactivated on the display.
Press the IV button thirteen times. Each entry is confirmed by one siren signal.
Wait for the siren to give a 13-fold sound confirmation of the entered information.
Use the key fob buttons to confirm the selected autorun mode. Button II corresponds to the autostart mode after 8 hours, III - after 4 hours, IV - after two hours.
Set to autostart by turning on the "timer" mode by briefly pressing buttons II and IV at a time.

Reprogramming the autostart mode according to the interior temperature

For correct activation of autostart according to the characteristics of the passenger compartment temperature, it is necessary to activate the start modes by time (1-13) before enabling the programming option. Next, you need to switch to the programming mode by long pressing the corresponding buttons on the key fob I + II. Then the following operations are performed:

Turn off the "timer" mode (if it is activated), as described in the previous paragraph.
21 times methodically press the IV-th button, after which the siren will signal.
Wait for the siren alarm 21 times in a row.
Set the desired autostart temperature mode: button IV - plus 60 degrees Celsius, III - minus 25, II - minus 15.
Activate the timer mode.

Warm-up programming

The warm-up time can be set to fixed intervals of 5, 15, 25 minutes or 45 minutes. To do this, activate function 1-12 in mode II. Programming is entered by long pressing I + II, after which the following operations are performed:

Button IV is pressed twelve times (accompanied by a sound signal).
12-fold siren signal - confirmation.
The engine operation time is selected by activating buttons I (5 minutes), II - 15, III - 25 or IV - 45 minutes.

Programming autostart by the voltage of the on-board network

Autostart can be programmed when the battery is discharged to an amplitude of 11.5 volts. First you need to activate the start by time (1-13), then enter the programming by long pressing I + II. Here are the buttons to press:

20 consecutive IV button presses.

Autorun issues
