Cement particle boards are a composite material consisting of a matrix and special binding additives. This structure allows the combination positive traits bases and fillers, reduces imperfections, expands the scope of application.

Specifications

DSP - wide flat slabs with a uniform structure, usually gray-brown in color. The base, which is 65%, is high-quality Portland cement with the addition of gypsum and plasticizers. The second component is wood chips in the amount of 24%. About 8% is water. Approximately 2.5% are binders and hydration additives that neutralize the action of wood extracts and regulate moisture. It can be salts of aluminum, calcium, liquid glass. Carcinogens, harmful chemical impurities - formaldehyde, asbestos chips, etc. - are not used. So the material does not emit toxic fumes, it is safe for health.

Technical DSP characteristics comply with GOST:

  • specific density - 1100–1400 kg / m 3;
  • humidity - no more than 12%, standard value - 9 %;
  • limiting water absorption in 24 hours - no more than 16%;
  • thermal conductivity coefficient - 0.26 W/m·K;
  • vapor permeability - about 0.03 mg / m h Pa;
  • flammability class - G1;
  • bending strength - 9–12 MPa, compressive strength - 0.4 MPa.

The web thickness is 4–40 mm, width is 1200 or 1250 mm, length is 2700 or 3200 mm. Deviations from the established norms in thickness are not allowed, a discrepancy of 1.5 mm is possible in width and length.

The surface of the sheets is rough and smooth, depending on the degree of grinding. Finishing facade materials are decorated and painted like tiles, a natural stone or brick.

The weight of 1 m² of canvas with a thickness of 8 mm is about 10.5 kg.

Cement particle boards tolerate temperature changes, have good moisture and biostability: they are not affected by fungus, do not rot, do not swell, do not deform. The finely porous structure of the DSP does not interfere with air exchange, does not disturb the microclimate in the premises. Despite the presence of natural wood in the composition, the material is practically not subject to combustion.

The service life of the DSP is on average 35–40 years. In the absence of aggressive atmospheric or chemical exposure - up to half a century.

Production features

There are several technological stages:

  1. In a special container, a mixture of water and binder additives is prepared.
  2. Crushed wood shavings are added to the liquid components. Mineralization takes place.
  3. Cement is added to the mixture.
  4. The solution is distributed according to the forms, the presses set a certain thickness.
  5. Thermally processed, fix the state of the material in the chambers.
  6. CSM is dried, ground, cut in accordance with established standards.

Features of installation and finishing

Cement-bonded materials are intended for dry installation. In construction and finishing works, they perform the same functions as chipboard, plywood, drywall, slate, concrete plaster.

Some use cases:

  • erection of fixed formwork during the construction of buildings, including multi-storey buildings;
  • finishing, restoration of facades, foundations;
  • basis for fencing, protective structures;
  • arrangement of garden paths;
  • creation of ceiling coverings, interior partitions, grounds for roofs, floors;
  • insulation, lining of fireplaces, stoves, chimneys.

Cement particle boards are used in many types of construction, repair work . They are perfectly cut, do not crumble when drilling holes for fasteners, hold plaster, primer mixtures, paint, ceramic tiles, wallpaper. This is an excellent base for creating various designs, interiors.

When using DSP, the main attention must be paid to storage and transportation. The composition of the material includes cement and mineral additives, so it is quite fragile and can be damaged as a result of improper loads. Sheets before use should be in a horizontal position, have a support under them. During transportation, the material must be placed on edge.

During installation, the sheets are fixed on the surface at least at three points.. For vertical installation use a material with a thickness of about 15–20 mm. Holes for fasteners are pre-drilled. When moving plates from place to place, precautions must be taken. When sawing, tools with working surfaces of increased hardness are used.

Do not use putty for sealing butt joints. Cement particle board mainly consists of natural components, therefore, during operation, it can expand and narrow. Visually, these changes are imperceptible, but rigid fixation can cause a violation of the integrity of the seams, the appearance of cracks in them. Usually, the gaps between the sheets are masked with silicone sealants, sewn up with narrow wooden slats, metal profile.

The surface formed by cement particle boards is strong, stable, does not require additional leveling, complex finishing. No need to impregnate with antiseptics, smooth out defects. From above, the material can be coated with a primer that increases adhesion. Then paint or paste over. DSP is an excellent basis for carpet, linoleum, laminate, mosaic tiles, and other finishing materials.

Varieties

DSP classification:

  • Arbolite. Universal, homogeneous, contain fine chips. They belong to lightweight concrete, they are used for cladding facades, formwork, erecting partitions, creating the basis for floors. Exist decorative types, embossed, painted under a stone or brick, which do not require additional coating.
  • Xylolithic. These are plates of increased strength, with high level thermal insulation. They are used for flooring. Wood shavings are quite large, located in layers in the inner part of the canvas.
  • Fiberboard. In the process of their manufacture, long chip fibers are used. conifers containing a minimum amount of sucrose and other substances affecting cement organic matter. The plates are distinguished by a softer texture, high sound insulation. Fiberboard is suitable for internal works: installation, wall insulation, construction of the foundation for ceilings.

Application in outdoor works

For the construction of formwork, facades, fences, materials with maximum moisture resistance are chosen. DSPs are best suited for creating strip foundations.

Plate thickness for external works- 12–40 mm. The service life of finished structures depends on weather conditions: rainfall, seasonal temperature differences. On average, it is about 15 years.

For external work, it is optimal to choose materials with additional protective layer from moisture resistant polystyrene foam, stone chips.

Before installing the formwork for the foundation, crushed stone is laid on the ground, then a layer of waterproofing. The footing is poured from above, the pins of the structure, drainage are installed.

When installing the plates, tin ties are used, they are fastened on top and bottom of each sheet, in the corners and in the middle. This provides additional structural stability. The distance between the rows of jumpers should be about 40 cm. All wood blanks are immediately removed after the concrete has hardened.

The seams are sealed with cement mortar.

To lift and secure the slabs at the required height, winches and stable scaffolding are required.

CSP formwork is mounted several times faster than from wood and other materials, the results are much better.

Interior decoration and flooring

For interior work, sheets with a thickness of 4 mm are used. For draft and finishing installation floors fit slabs from 8 mm. It should be borne in mind that the heat-insulating and sound-absorbing qualities are higher for thicker sheets.

Tools required for work:

  • saws or hacksaws;
  • spatulas;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • screwdriver;
  • building level;
  • tamping roller or pick-up shovel;
  • crushed stone, mastic, primer.

When installing a floor from slabs, the base is pre-prepared. To do this, it is leveled, a layer of rubble is poured. If the subfloor is made of concrete, a substrate is laid on it or installed support lags. Thermal insulation is placed in all available voids. Bulk materials are preferred as they do not need to be cut.

Plates are mounted end-to-end, trying not to leave gaps and cracks. Seams are treated with sealant. If materials with a low moisture resistance index are used, an additional layer of waterproofing is laid under them. Then the finish coat is applied.

Advantages and disadvantages of DSP

Cement-bonded materials have the positive qualities of natural wood and stone. They are:

  • durable;
  • resistant to adverse conditions, exposure to high and low temperatures;
  • do not deform;
  • environmentally friendly, safe for health;
  • well absorb noise;
  • keep warm;
  • not damaged by fungus, insects, rodents;
  • durable;
  • can be used in conditions of high humidity.

DSP production technologies make it possible to obtain sheets with desired characteristics. This significantly reduces the time and cost of the work. Practicality, versatility make CSP a popular building material. With their help, you can quickly erect the frames of buildings, perform any kind of decoration. The composite has versatile functions, eliminates the need for additional surface treatment. This allows you to significantly save money during construction, repair.

Significant disadvantages of cement-bonded particle boards include:

  • large proportion. standard sheet has a mass of 70 kg. This makes installation difficult. It is impossible to move plates alone. The severity of the material creates a high additional load on the supporting structures;
  • DSPs are non-plastic, rather brittle. They cannot be bent strong blows easy to damage, break;
  • with manual and machining material highlights a large number of dust, so you need to use special means protection for respiratory organs, eyes. After the interior decoration, a thorough cleaning of the premises is required.

Subject to all the rules for storage, installation of the material, the disadvantages are completely leveled by the existing advantages.

Material cost

The final price depends on the size, quantity of purchased materials, manufacturer.

Retail price of one slab, made in Russia, with thickness:

  • 8–10 mm - 900–1100 rubles;
  • 16–20 mm - 1600–1950 rubles;
  • over 20 mm - from 2000 rubles.

Similar Chinese-made materials are much cheaper, but do not have the necessary technical certification, quality assurance.

Cement particle board (DSP) is a material that is actively used in construction and repair work. Such plates are in demand in a huge number of areas. But even these fundamental structures are presented in a wide variety in the construction market. Before choosing to specific products, you need to familiarize yourself in advance with the features of these structures and their areas of use.

Production features

Cement particle board is manufactured using special technologies. The process of creating a DSP includes the following steps:

  • the solution is based on water, which is poured into a special container for mixing. Aluminum, salts and liquid glass are also added to the container;
  • in order for mineralization to take place, chips are added to the mixture;
  • the next step is the addition of cement;
  • to obtain a DSP block, the solution is poured into a special form;

  • a certain thickness is given to the substance with the help of a press;
  • after pressing, the product passes heat treatment, the implementation of which takes into account the characteristics of the components of raw materials;
  • in order for the substance to harden, it is placed in special chambers. There, at a temperature of 80 C, the components are fixed;
  • after hardening, the canvas is cut into sheets. Their dimensions are determined by GOST.

Products are made only in special factories, where strict control over the implementation of each stage is exercised. Make your own quality panel CSP is not possible.

Characteristics

Cement particle products have a number of fixed specifications which explain many of its properties:

  • the composition is a quarter made of wood chips, a little more than 8% is water, the main component is Portland cement and the share of additional impurities is 2 and a half percent;
  • material thickness varies from 8 to 12 mm;
  • plate width is 120 or 125 cm;
  • length - from 2.6 to 3.2 m. On order, you can choose a model up to 3.6 m long;
  • weight of one square meter DSP, having a thickness of 8 mm, reaches 10 kg.

The material has a high density, which reaches 1300 kg/m3. In the process of moisture absorption, the density can increase by 2 percent. The limit of water absorption capacity usually does not exceed 16%.

The roughness of the DSP board is the relief of each sheet. It depends on the characteristics of the grinding. Unsanded slabs have an index of 320 microns, while the material that has undergone grinding has an index of 80 microns.

Sheets have a fire resistance class G1, which means that the material has a low combustibility. The thermal conductivity index is 0.26 W.

All of the above characteristics allow you to choose required number and parameters of the building material.

There are also different types of materials for boards and molded products from DSP:

  • Xylolite- high-strength material with good thermal insulation. Such slabs are often used for flooring. Products are presented in a wide range of colors.
  • Fiberboard is a raw material consisting of long fibers. He has high thermal insulation properties and soft texture. Biological factors do not have a strong impact on this type of CSP.
  • Small chipping materials include wood concrete which is used in various fields.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like any building material, DSP has a number of advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of such plates include:

  • The material is highly resistant to moisture and temperature extremes. Plates withstand up to 50 frost cycles. This characteristic significantly affects the service life of the plates.
  • The raw materials used to create such partitions are absolutely safe for human health. DSP does not emit harmful toxins and does not cause allergic reactions.
  • Cement particle board is great for various transformations. With it, you can use any finishing methods and change the surface of the product as you wish.
  • Wide range of. In modern hardware stores you can find a rich variety of products.
  • Affordable price is an important advantage. Since the material is often used in the construction of a house from scratch, the purchase a large number material will not negatively affect your budget.

  • Cement chip products are easy to use. On such a surface it is convenient to carry out various repairs with a drill, puncher or knife.
  • The fixed size of the products contributes to a significant simplification of the installation process.
  • The material is resistant to decay processes.
  • When cement-bonded particle board is used for floor screeding, it contributes to significant cost savings compared to, for example, self-leveling compounds or cement-sand leveling options.

The negative properties of CSP include:

  • Products can reach a large mass, which greatly complicates their use in high rooms. Big weight due to the high density of the material.
  • The material is non-plastic. If you try to bend such a plate, you can break it. Risk of breakage during construction works explains the need to purchase material with a margin.

Based on the presented data, it can be seen that the DSP has significantly more pluses than minuses. The disadvantages of such products are easily compensated by the advantages.

Scope of application

Cement-bonded particle boards are used in various construction and finishing fields. The most common use cases are:

  • Outdoor . It implies the suitability of plates for finishing the facade of a residential building, the use of plates as the basis for fences. Work on the implementation of fixed formwork is also not excluded. DSP sheets can be used in both private and industrial areas. These slabs are used to construct both protective structures for garden beds in private houses and parts for industrial enterprises.

Kostroma company "MIT" characterized by special geometric characteristics of products and strict adherence to all quality standards.

Tambov firm "Tamak" produces high quality boards. The company approaches its business very carefully, so it is difficult to find even the slightest defect among their products.

Omsk firm "Stropan" is engaged in the production of elastic cement-bonded particle boards of various thicknesses. The company is also distinguished by the creation of sheets with increased sound and heat insulation.

Knowing the list of leading companies, you can easily choose such stoves that you will not be disappointed with later.

Depending on how you decide to use DSP for your home, you should listen to various recommendations for correct installation plate data.

The most common option is to insulate walls or floors with cement chip sheets. To carry out this procedure, it is necessary to prepare the surface of the walls in advance, providing it with a crate made of metal and wood. It is necessary to have special cells having a fixed size of 500 * 500 mm.

During installation, leave a space of 1 centimeter between the plates. It is covered with a special overlay, for which you can use finished products from the same material or create them yourself from residual raw materials.

To fix the canvases, it is necessary to use nails, screws and self-tapping screws. It is possible to carry out fastening alternative ways- using mastic or a special adhesive solution.

To insulate the frame structure, the slabs must be installed from the outside and inner sides walls at the same time. If you want to insulate a utility-type room, then it is permissible to leave a small space between the base of the wall and the DSP sheet.

In private homes, many lay cement-bonded particle boards on wooden floors to make them warmer. To correctly carry out this process, you must follow a special algorithm:

  • In order to avoid creaking floors in the future, the base is adjusted and fixed with self-tapping screws. When adjusting the base coat, be sure to eliminate rotten boards and replace them with new ones. If there are cracks or cracks of an insignificant nature in the surface, they must be treated with putty.
  • Rooms are measured taking into account the location of the long side of the canvases across the boards.
  • It is necessary to design on paper the layout of the DSP.
  • With the help of a grinder, you need to cut the sheets to the required parameters, if necessary.
  • In the direction from corner to corner, the plates are installed. In this case, it is best to fix the products using zinc self-tapping screws.
  • The seams between the laid sheets should be primed. Only after completion of all stages, it is possible to carry out exterior decoration floor covering.

A special process is the use of DSP for floor screed. In order to properly carry out the dry screed procedure, it is necessary to lay the sheets on a special aggregate with granules and metal profiles made of drywall or wood bars. Self-tapping screws for fastening cement-bonded particle boards must be suitable for the section of the beams and the material from which they are constructed. This leveling method is used only if the difference in level differences is more than 6 cm, raising the level with the help of canvases is permissible on average by a height of 7 to 10 cm.

How to quickly and efficiently, but at the same time with a minimum waiting time, level the floors in an apartment or house? If it is the speed of work that is very important, and the creation of a conventional cement screed is impossible, then a DSP slab is perfect for this purpose. The use of this building material for the floor allows you to make surfaces even very quickly. At the same time, the coating will be durable and of high quality.

DSP slab - floor application

DSP is a cement-bonded particle board, and the name fully reflects the composition of this material. DSPs are made from a mixture, the components of which are wood chips and cement compositions.

The composition of the building material includes:

  • wood chips with fractions of various sizes - 24%;
  • water - 8.5%;
  • special additives - 2.5%;
  • Portland cement - 65%.

The production process is quite simple - DSP is done as follows.

  1. Special water solutions are loaded into special mixers, which include various salts, liquid glass and aluminum.
  2. Further, wood shavings with fractions are gradually added to these solutions. different sizes- mineralization of raw materials occurs.
  3. Cement is added to the resulting composition and a little more water is added.
  4. The mass is subjected to thorough mixing until a homogeneous mass and then goes under a powerful press.

The result of this production chain is the finished cement particle board, which is quite thin and has a smooth surface. A large amount of cement in the composition allows you to create a fairly durable material. By the way, inside the plate, the chips have b about Larger dimensions than outside, due to which the smoothness of the surface of the finished material is achieved. DSP does not need to be further leveled after laying, making the material excellent for creating a rough floor covering for laminate, tile and other types of finishes. Also, voids are not formed inside the DSP during production.

On a note! Wood chips as a raw material are also used in the production of chipboard, fiberboard and OSB boards. The technologies for the production of these materials are somewhat similar to the technology for producing CSP boards.

DSP boards are widely used in construction. They can be used to decorate the facade walls of houses, they are used to create various partitions inside the premises. The material is suitable for use in restoration purposes and for interior finishing work. At the same time, it is suitable for apartments and private houses.

DSP plate is distinguished by high environmental friendliness, as it is created from natural materials and practically does not contain additional chemical ingredients. That is why the stove is recommended for use both in residential premises and in production.

The use of cement particle board is an opportunity to abandon the laborious pouring of a cement screed to create a base. Building material allows you to reduce labor costs and spend less funds from the budget planned for leveling the floors for laying the finish coat.

Characteristics of DSP board

DSP is a material of a completely new category, characterized by significant strength, long service life, and a certain level of moisture resistance. It also has good soundproofing and heat-saving properties. All these features allowed DSP boards to take a strong place in the construction industry - they are used for various purposes.

Of course, this material is far from ideal, but still, due to its properties and characteristics, it can be used both outside and inside the building. DSP plate does not lose its qualities in a variety of climatic conditions.

On a note! Compared to conventional chipboard, cement and chipboard is 3 times stronger and has high performance resistance to various physical influences and loads.

The density of one cubic meta CSP plate is quite high - about 1300-1400 kg / m 3. The moisture content of the material is 6-12%. By the way, the material is not 100% protected from the effects of water, however, swelling upon contact with liquid during a full day should not exceed 2%.

To the touch, the plate is rough, but smooth - often these indicators depend on the grinding method used. Sometimes the DSP does not need the latter - if the roughness level is not more than 80 microns. The plate is selected in accordance with the operating conditions, as well as the requirements for the final results. For example, indoors, smooth slabs are usually used, while rougher ones can be dispensed with outside.

On a note! DSP finishing slabs are simple - any type of floor finish can be laid on them, and paint, varnish, plaster, etc. can be easily applied to the surface.

Advantages and disadvantages

What are the main advantages and disadvantages of plates over other similar materials? Let's consider the answer to this question in more detail.

DSP Advantages:

  • environmental friendliness of the material, as it is made from natural ingredients. DSP does not contain asbestos- and formaldehyde-containing substances;
  • fungus and mold do not settle on the plates;
  • the material is not hygroscopic - this is its main advantage over chipboard;
  • DSP does not suffer from temperature fluctuations, does not lose its operational qualities;
  • 100% incombustibility of DSP plates allows them to be used in any premises. The material can resist fire for 50 minutes;
  • reasonable price, allowing you to purchase material even in the case of a small budget;
  • significant strength due to the multi-layer material. Excellent performance is noted at pressure both from the end of the plate, and from any of the other sides;
  • the plate does not require work on additional leveling of surfaces;
  • the material is not afraid of chemical influences;
  • cement-bonded particle board perfectly resists decay processes;
  • relative impermeability to water - during the day, the DSP is able to absorb a maximum of 16% of the liquid;
  • high soundproofing and heat-insulating qualities;
  • ease of installation.

On a note! DSP plates are recommended to be used when installing a water system warm floors. In this case, it will be possible to create an additional air layer between heating and finishing coating, which will significantly improve the result of the work done.

The disadvantages of plates are as follows:

  • a large mass of material, which makes it difficult to work with it;
  • during processing, the DSP generates a lot of dust. If you have to cut the plates, then you should wear a respirator and goggles so as not to harm the organs of vision and breathing.

However, the advantages of the material are much greater than the disadvantages, which determines its popularity in construction, including for leveling floors. Usually DSP boards are laid on logs - this is best option application of the material in this area. More often DSP is laid under laminate, carpet, linoleum, ceramic tiles.

In general, it can be noted that for most indicators DSP boards are superior to drywall, chipboard and fiberboard, making them one of the best building materials. Also, the DSP will save a lot of money if a choice is made in their favor.

DSP in insulation works

Most often, DSP is used in the field of insulation of buildings and structures. Usually the building is sheathed with material from the outside. Fixing is done with screws or nails.

But, since DSP is an environmentally friendly material, wall and floor cladding can also be made from inside the room. The sheathing process is similar to what is done outside: the material is attached to a wooden or metal crate using nails or self-tapping screws. Sometimes adhesive mastics can also be used. After the installation of the plates, the finishing is carried out.

floor application

DSP is often used to create a subfloor. Most often, the material is laid on the basis that in the future it will be glued to it. ceramic tile- This is the most demanding coating for evenness of the base. DSPs are also suitable for pouring and for installing soft floor coverings.

DSP slabs can be mounted on logs, as well as laid on a flat concrete or wooden base. Serves material long years and at the same time it is capable of withstanding significant loads, subject to proper installation.

The choice of cement sheets for the floor

The choice of DSP boards is carried out in accordance with the conditions in which the material will be used, as well as the technology by which it will be installed. For laying on logs, plates with a thickness of 20-26 mm are used - they will perfectly cope with their function as a rough base. If the installation is carried out directly on the ground, then plates of 24-26 mm are used. In general, almost any DSP boards can be used for floor leveling.

On a note! DSP boards can be laid even in cold weather. It does not matter if outside the window the air temperature drops below zero.

Requirements for DSP boards used for floor installation:

  • humidity - from 6 to 12%;
  • density - more than 1300 kg / m 3;
  • tensile strength - 0.4 MPa;
  • surface roughness - 80 microns;
  • moisture absorption level - 16%.

Preparing for DSP Coating

Before starting construction work rough coating from DSP, the subfloor must be properly prepared. For example, in the case of laying material on a wooden base, old or rotten boards must be dismantled and replaced with new ones. It is important to close all the cracks with putty, and the wooden base is primed for better adhesion to the glue, on which the slab coating will be mounted.

If the installation is to be carried out on concrete base, then it should also be carefully inspected for damage and repaired if necessary. Also, if there are strong horizontal deviations, alignment is performed cement mixtures. In the case of laying DSP on the ground, a preliminary leveling of the surface is necessarily carried out - this can be done by pouring sand and gravel mix 20 cm thick and rammed it.

The best option is to lay DSP boards on logs. In this case, if it is planned to install the base directly above the ground, the supports for the logs are installed on the ground, and hydro and thermal insulation is laid. The distance between the supports can vary from 0.5 to 1 m - this figure depends on the thickness of the timber used for the logs.

Materials and tools that need to be prepared for working with DSP:

  • timber for lags (section 150x100 or 50x100 mm);
  • DSP boards in the required quantity;
  • antiseptic solution for timber;
  • sawing tool (for example, a hacksaw);
  • materials for waterproofing and insulation;
  • measuring instruments (tape measure, pencil);
  • fixing material;
  • drill.

Arrangement of the floor with the help of DSP

Let's consider the arrangement of the floor from the DSP on the logs using the example of a balcony.

Step 1. A layer of insulation is laid under the logs. Logs are installed parallel to the walls at a distance of about 30-40 cm from each other.

Step 2 Cross bars are installed, crates are being created. Between themselves wooden blocks connected using metal corners and self-tapping screws.

Step 3 The space between the lags is filled with insulating material.

Step 4 DSP slabs of the required dimensions are laid across the longitudinal logs. The width of the piece of material should be slightly less than the width of the balcony (by 5-10 mm).

Step 5 The plates are fastened with self-tapping screws on the logs. The gaps between the DSP boards are sealed with adhesive.

DSP floors: laying nuances

In general, the installation of DSP boards is carried out in exactly the same way as the laying of OSB boards. During the work, it is important to follow a few rules, and then the base of the floor will turn out to be of the highest quality:

  • a wooden beam for a log must be treated with compounds that prevent rotting. Special compositions can be replaced with engine oil;

  • when installing plates on concrete screed for logs, you can use a beam of a smaller section - up to 50x50 mm. This will save usable space;
  • when installing the log, you should monitor their level - it must be strictly horizontal;
  • before installation, DSP boards are laid out on logs - this will allow you to determine which of them need to be trimmed if necessary;
  • glue must be well mixed before use;
  • Compensation gaps along the walls will allow avoiding deformation of the DSP base.

DSP - the material is not bad enough, if you use it to create an even base. It is not difficult to work with him, but due to the large mass of sheets, it is better to get an assistant.

Today, the DSP-plate has gained popularity: the use of this material for the floor is very convenient. This is due to several reasons, the first of them is the absolute environmental friendliness, the second is the low cost. At the heart of the plate are exclusively natural raw materials. The connecting components are minerals that do not emit poisons and trace elements during operation that would be dangerous to human health. Among the ingredients of the canvas, wood shavings, water, Portland cement, as well as special additives can be distinguished. In the production process, the listed components are combined and go through the pressing stage.

The use of DSP for the floor

Today, slab finishing is quite common. CSP area gender. This material is characterized by excellent thermal insulation properties, in addition, it can be used in conditions that differ high humidity. After laying the slab, it will be necessary to protect it with a primer or water-repellent mixture. The canvas will last for a long time, as it is able to withstand heavy loads. Depending on what kind of traffic will be in the room, you can choose plates with a more or less impressive thickness.

Despite the fact that it has excellent operational use for the floor, it must be accompanied by compliance with all installation rules, only then will it be possible to maintain all the qualities of the material. With the help of such a plate, it is possible to make an ideal leveling of the floor surface in a short time. The use of this material allows you to reduce the period of work. The floor will be strong and reliable, and construction costs will be significantly reduced.

Characteristics of the DSP

The composition of the material is 24% 8.5% liquid, as well as 65% cement, which ensures the durability and strength of the slab. In addition, among the ingredients there are 2.5% hydration impurities by type and Depending on the parameters of the floor, you can choose plates that have dimensions equal to 3200 x 1250 mm, while the thickness can vary between 10-40 mm. But, according to the standards, the plate can be made with other parameters, the deviations depend on the thickness.

Density and surface features

Considering DSP properties- plates, it is worth paying attention to the density, which should not exceed 1300 kg / m 2, while the humidity can vary between 6-12%. When exposed to water for 24 hours, the canvas should not swell by more than 2%, and the plate can absorb moisture in a volume of approximately 16%. Tensile strength is 0.4 MPa.

The surface of the material should be rough, and the degree of roughness will be affected by the grinding method. If the manufacture is carried out in accordance with GOST 7016-82, then the roughness of the plates will be more than 320 microns, but the canvas may not be polished, then this figure is within 80 microns.

Varieties of DSP

DSP-plate, the use of which today, as already mentioned, is becoming more and more popular, is produced on modern equipment in several varieties. These are, for example, plates, the thickness of which is only 4 mm. The resulting material does not imply the need for grinding, which, when carried out, causes an increase in cost. Increasingly popular plates that have a smooth embossing. They contain small elements, the size of which increases closer to the center of the canvas. With the use of such material, you can get a floor that will look like natural stone. That is why the canvas after laying does not need to be additionally finished.

Advantages of DSP over other materials

If you have not yet decided which flooring will be laid on the floor: fiberboard or CSP-plate, the use of these materials for the floor, or rather, their qualitative advantages, should be considered in more detail. Despite the fact that a great variety of plates for repair work are presented on the market of modern building materials, DSP can be considered the leader. So, if we compare a DSP sheet with a fiberboard web, then the first one is much stronger. In addition, cement-bonded particle board has such a quality as frost resistance, which makes it possible to use this material as a floor covering in houses that are not used for a whole year, but only during the warm period.

If you need a sufficiently strong surface, then you should choose a DSP: a cement-bonded particle board just has such qualities, they are due to the fact that the web is based on three layers, two of which (outer) are made of small chips, while the inner one consists of longer particles. This gives the material elasticity, high density and hardness. Do not be afraid that the plate will delaminate during operation.

Preparatory work

DSP-plate, the use of which is considered in this article, involves the use of self-tapping screws when working with it. You can purchase canvases with a thickness in the range of 1-1.5 cm. It is permissible to use wood or concrete screed as a rough coating. If there are logs on the floor, then DSP installation can be made on top of them. It is recommended to cut the material with a fine-toothed hacksaw blade. This will reduce the amount of dust generated, and the edges will be as accurate as possible. The sheet initially only needs to be cut, laid on flat surface, turning the groove down. Next, the knee must be placed on a large part of the canvas, and the smaller one should be pulled towards you. In the required place, the plate will have to crack along the cut.

If during the repair work it is necessary to bypass the pipeline system, then it is necessary to apply grease to an element with the same diameter and lean it in the desired section of the plate. This will mark the edges for cutting. It is possible to perform cutting work by means of a “crown”. If it is necessary to obtain a hole that is of considerable size and has uneven edges, it is recommended to make an incision, observing the perimeter, and then gently knock out the resulting element with a hammer.

Carrying out markup

Before laying, it is necessary to prepare sheets that will correspond to the parameters of the room. For this, the canvases are laid out, and then markings are applied to their surface so that it is possible to carry out the correct cutting. After the sheets are turned into blanks, they should be laid out again around the room and numbered - this will eliminate mistakes.

Features of laying DSP on the floor

Before laying the cement chipboard on the floor, the cement particle board must be removed from the room to make it easier to work. Its laying is carried out on glue or self-tapping screws, depending on the features. However, the drill with a nozzle must be set to low speed. It is unlikely that such a result will be achieved manually.

Ensuring clearances

DSP-slab, reviews of which, as a rule, are only positive, can be laid on the floor after the master manages to spread the glue over the surface of the rough base. This must be done with a notched trowel. When laying the following sheets, it is necessary to ensure temperature gap, which will eliminate the deformation of the canvas when changing their size. The formed gaps can be filled with the same adhesive mass. After the floor of the room is completely covered, it is necessary to leave it until it dries. Only after that you can start laying the decorative coating.

The technical characteristics of the DSP slab are such that it can replace a concrete screed. And the advantage of the canvas is that it weighs much less than the solution, while laying it is easier. In addition, the floor after completion of work acquires heat-insulating and noise-reducing properties.
