Are you planning to start using a cash register and accounting software in your store? Don't put it off until later. Don't wait for the buzz around cash registers and in-store accounting systems just before February 1, 2017, when the use of online cash registers will become mandatory. Take care of the transition now!

Front office system that allows you to organize the workplace of a cashier in stores with various form services, including self-service.

It is integrated with the TCU accounting system and is a single module for working with retail equipment.

Identifies piece or weight goods by barcodes (BC) of various standards from the manufacturer, either by its own barcode, or by barcode printed by scales with receipt printing. Keeps records of funds for fiscal and non-fiscal cash desks of various outlets(PE and legal entities) at the same time (deposit, withdrawal of funds, revenue).

Makes low demands on the speed of the communication channel with the database (when working with MSSQL Server 2005-2008), which allows you to connect to the database via the Internet. In addition to everything, it has the ability to work with a "slice" of the database in the absence of a permanent connection with the server.

Supports work with fiscal registrars, works with discount cards, provides X- and Z-reports. Allows you to flexibly configure the rights of the cashier, conducts full logging of actions.

Has low hardware requirements, works with all types of scanners, supports a wide range of models of receipt printers. Cashier training time is kept to a minimum.

The architecture of interaction between the workplace of a Shopdesk cashier and the main accounting system of the TCU is described in the article On the interaction between ShopDesk, the trading server and the TCU.

The user interface allows the cashier to use a barcode scanner to identify the item and enter it into the receipt. In addition, a manual search for goods is available, which allows you to organize a cashier's workplace in stores with goods that do not have a barcode. The cashier has the ability to edit the quantity of goods in the receipt. In the case of goods by weight, the system determines the weight of the goods by the barcode printed on the label by the scales with receipt printing.

After the check is approved, the cashier accepts payment from the buyer for the goods issued and hands him a fiscal and (or) non-fiscal check. Form of payment - cash or plastic card, if the workplace is equipped with a POS-terminal.

The application works directly with the database, always receiving the most up-to-date information about the availability of goods and their price at the current moment. Thanks to the client-server architecture, there is no need to worry in any way about data synchronization between the back-office and front-office systems. When any data values change, the front office system starts working with the new values immediately. For example, when approving receipt documents at the head office by an operator working at a TCU, changes in the retail prices of goods on the shelf are possible. The same happens when approving acts of revaluation that also change the retail prices of goods. Also, the adjustment of customer data (for example, the amount of the discount provided, permission / refusal to serve the client), etc., immediately takes effect.

ShopDesk features:

  • Identification of the client and obtaining from the accounting system information on the amount of the discount provided if the client has a discount card
  • Entering goods into a receipt using a barcode scanner
  • Entering goods into the receipt by selecting goods from the list. Implemented search for goods by name and article
  • Support for scales with receipt printing. For goods by weight, information about the weight of the goods is automatically retrieved from the barcode of the printed label
  • Support for trade scales without check printing, having an interface for connecting to a computer (with ShopDesk). When weighing goods, the weight is transferred directly to the check
  • Calculation of the amount of the check and acceptance of payment by check from the client. Printing of fiscal and non-fiscal checks. Accepting cash payments and plastic card if the RMK is equipped with a bank POS-terminal. In the latter case, it is possible to make payments in the TCU trading server at the cash desk of a separate outlet
  • Providing real-time sales information to the main accounting system. In the case of organizing a connection to the database via the Internet, data transfer to the trade server via the FTP protocol is supported
  • Support for multiple outlets at the same time. Work with fiscal and non-fiscal outlets
  • Maintaining a cash register for each outlet - depositing funds into the cash register, calculating revenue, withdrawing funds from the cash register. cash calculator
  • Providing the cashier with reports on cash movements for the shift. Viewing information about the sold goods for each check for a shift
  • X and Z reports. History of Z-reports
  • Work with online database and offline (database backup). Flexible setting of switching modes in case of loss of connection with the online base and subsequent restoration of connection. Backup Scheduler
  • Extended work with the rights of the cashier. Prohibition of deleting lines from a check or clearing a check using a secret word or secret code (stored by the senior cashier)
  • Logging cashier's actions

Pay attention - despite the full integration with the main accounting system of the TCU, the cashier's workplace keeps the cash register autonomously. At the end of the shift, the cashier is obliged to make X and Z reports and, according to them, hand over the cash desk to the responsible person (senior cashier). In the back office part (the main accounting system of the TCU), the responsible person makes a counter report on the sales of this cash worker for the shift. Do I need to say that the amount of sales and the amount handed over by the cashier must match? Such a scheme of double control over the RCC cash desk increases the degree of responsibility of the cashier. And also at the same time increases the reliability of accounting, not allowing the use various schemes for trade in goods bypassing the accounting system. In addition, we also note that, with proper organization, stores use checks from customers at the exit of the store to check for discrepancies between the list of goods in the check and the basket.

It is highly recommended that you read the ShopDesk article. Carrying out reconciliations at the cash desk and closing a shift, which describes the correct organization of accounting for funds and conducting reconciliations when closing a shift.

  • Barcode Scanner- any, with a USB interface or PS / 2 (into the keyboard gap). Image scanners, for example, PSC QS6500 or any other, have proven themselves well. If you plan to use a cash box, you can use built-in scanners

For more information, see Installing, launching and working with "ShopDesk" (for Windows) for the first time. At the moment, it is a little outdated, but it gives an excellent idea of the basic principles in setting up and working with Shopdesk.

The presence of an online cash register is not only an obligation to the Federal Tax Service and the state, but also assistance to businesses in working with the buyer and assortment. However, the functioning of the online cash register is impossible without software. Multifunctional software will help you keep inventory records, manage promotions and discounts, and increase store profits. Read this article to learn how to choose a program for an online cash register.

What you will learn about:

Programs for online cash registers: why and who needs them

The emergence of new cash registers changed all the traditional principles of cash accounting. Modern cash register equipment is a highly intelligent IT machine that transmits information about revenue through the network to the Federal Tax Service.

The operation of an online cash register is impossible without software (software). A special program generates a cash receipt with the names of all items of purchased goods, allocating VAT for each of them (for those who pay this tax).

It is thanks to the software that a new type of fiscal registrars, established in accordance with the law on online cash registers, transmits the necessary information about a punched check to a fiscal data operator (OFD).

Thus, the program performs two tasks:

  1. fiscalization;
  2. Formation of a check for the buyer.

Often, a free program for online cash registers built into cash registers can only perform the minimum functions that the tax office requires from cash registers.

If an entrepreneur wants to carry out inventory accounting, manage promotions and discounts, print information about loyalty programs on checks, then the so-called “applied” software is needed.

What functions do cash programs perform?

According to 54-FZ, the formation of a check and its printing are assigned to cash programs.

However, it is not forbidden to publish other information in the check: about promotions and sales. To do this, information about the discount, validity period and other necessary information is entered into the cash register program.

In addition, a modern cash register program should be able to generate an electronic cash receipt, as well as record the customer's contact information.

By law, the client can receive it by e-mail or SMS before the check is generated, and the cashier must agree to this request.

Another important, but optional function of the cash program is the ability to accept money from the buyer at the same time in cash and by bank transfer. This is important when the client does not have as much money on the card as he thought, but he is ready to make up for the missing part of the amount with banknotes.

Since the name of the product is indicated on the check, you will not be able to divide it into two payments. Therefore, if you have not yet decided which program is needed for an online cash register, pay attention to the possibility of simultaneous settlement.

Basic requirements of 54-FZ to the program for online cash registers

The Law on Online Cash Desks (54-FZ) prescribes the necessary software tasks for cash desks. These include the following:

  1. sending to the online checkout the cost of a unit of goods, taking into account the discount (surcharge);
  2. determining the discount in the check and sending the information to the online cashier;
  3. publication of the final discount in the receipt only rounded to kopecks;
  4. line-by-line transfer to the online checkout of registration (sale) of each item in the receipt;
  5. publication on the receipt of the name of the goods;
  6. sending, if necessary, additional details (for example, if payment is in favor of other persons);
  7. creation and transfer of a correction check to the fiscal data operator, if necessary;
  8. at the time of settlement with the buyer, sending a check to the fiscal data operator;
  9. generating an electronic receipt and sending it to the buyer on email or mobile phone;
  10. the cash register program should also be able to generate a QR code for printing it on a check.

What fiscal documents are supported by cash programs?

The software should be able to prepare several fiscal documents. First of all, cashier's checks are beaten off:

  • ordinary cashier's check, including a return check;
  • cash receipt correction.

How to choose an online cash register software?

Cash programs are conditionally divided into several types:

  1. low-cost solutions that offer only the necessary functions to comply with 54-FZ;
  2. low-cost solutions with additional functionality (management of discounts, report on the best-selling items, etc.);
  3. solutions with the ability to integrate with the inventory system (for accounting for the movement of positions in the warehouse, inventory) and CRM-system (for managing customer relationships);
  4. multifunctional programs written specifically for large retail chains;
  5. mobile solutions for online store couriers so that they can also send electronic receipts.

It is logical that separate solutions are suitable for different types of business. Consider in the table the functionality that is necessary for different types of points of sale.

receipt printing is not required, sending an electronic receipt is important

As can be seen from the table, small retailers (stalls, shops) do not care what program is at the checkout: entrepreneurs just need to follow the formalities and issue a check.

However, for those who own a separate store that makes at least 10-20 sales per day, it is already important to understand sales statistics and the most popular items, as well as use online checkout data when inventorying.

Small networks, among other things, need to manage promotions and discounts, combine cash register data and CRM systems.

Online stores need a separate functionality. They will probably need software that is compatible with a mobile checkout, or the installation of mobile applications on couriers' smartphones.

Also in online commerce, it is beneficial to use one checkout to print paper receipts at a retail outlet and issue electronic receipts for online purchases.

Software developers offer a free trial period to evaluate the convenience of working with the program. During this time (it can last somewhere around 7-14 days), you can evaluate the functions of the software and the quality of service.

After all, high-quality technical support in an IT service is important point, which you need to pay attention to when choosing a program for working with cash registers. The free version of the software is not a reason to refuse support and advice.

Online cash register is a complex technological product. In fact, this is an independent computer, and special software is needed to use it. What should it be? How are programs for online cash registers selected and what nuances should you pay attention to?

What are they needed for

The cash register program for the online cash register is technological solution, with the help of which the CCP user, using the keyboard and other online cash register management tools, activates its functions. The main functions of the online cash register include:

  • fiscalization of income and expenses of the store (prescribing information about payment transactions in the internal memory of the fiscal drive and their subsequent sending to the Federal Tax Service through the OFD);
  • formation of checks for buyers (paper, electronic);
  • generation of cash reports.

The way in which online cash register programs are used is best seen in the context of classifying cash registers into two well-known categories:

  • autonomous cash desks;
  • modular cash registers.

Let's consider their specifics in more detail.

Cashier software for offline online cash registers

So, online cash desks are autonomous. We are talking about "all in one" devices - in which all the key hardware components (necessary for performing basic operations at the checkout) are enclosed in a common housing and can be used "here and now" without connecting any external devices - not counting, of course , power supply (if the cash register operates without a battery or if it is discharged at the time of using the cash register).

As a rule, an autonomous cash desk is equipped with:

  • own display, keyboard;
  • necessary computing and communication modules - for receiving and transmitting data via the Internet (stationary, mobile).

AT without fail a fiscal drive is installed in the online cash register. For this, there is a special slot inside the case of an autonomous CCP.

If we talk about the key computing modules of the online cash register, then these include, first of all, the built-in processor and related chips for processing and exchanging data between various system hardware components. The stand-alone online cash register is equipped with a built-in RAM and, as a rule, its own flash memory (not counting the flash memory that the fiscal drive is equipped with).

In fact, an autonomous cash register is a mini-computer. Any computer known to be running operating system- and it can be called the basic CCP software. Otherwise - the "firmware" of the online cash register. Application software is built over the system “firmware” - the one that is used directly by the user in order to enable the above online cash register functions.

Autonomous cash desks, in turn, are classified into a large number of varieties. But we can conditionally distinguish the following three main groups of devices.

1. Cash desks of the "command-controlled" type

Usually they are with the simplest monochrome, or even a single-line display - which displays the most basic numbers characterizing cash transactions (for example, total amount goods punched by check), the basic indication for such operations.

Examples of such autonomous cash desks are Elves-MF, Minika 1102F, Mercury 115F.

In terms of their functionality, they are fully consistent modern requirements- as those established by Law No. 54-FZ and related regulations, and those dictated by the market, consumer demands, technological trends. But most of the computing operations at such cash registers are extremely simple structure, in many cases they are single-tasking, aimed at ensuring the execution of a single function at a certain point in time.

Therefore, such cash registers operate under the control of OS, which are “assembled” in configurations designed to perform very modest tasks that do not involve a heavy load on the hardware and the use of complex computational algorithms.

In many cases, hardware components are controlled by low-level algorithms within system software, which by most indications does not even correspond to the operating system. These are "factory" firmware, providing single-tasking, which is mentioned above - and more is not required of them.

The “command-driven” software in the simplest online cash registers is thus almost always pre-installed at the factory, and it is not expected that the user will be able to replace it with any other, except to use a different assembly from the same manufacturer. Of course, in some cases, significant changes in the firmware of the online cash register may occur due to its update (which is done quite regularly). But, in general, software modules remain "factory", and it is difficult to replace them (and this is not a problem - since there is no need to make such a replacement).

The "firmware" of an autonomous online cash register, as a rule, by default includes application functionality - that is, a set of interfaces that provide fiscalization cash transactions and carrying out other procedures with the participation of the user. Truth, large quantity As a rule, “command-controlled” software cannot pamper the user with “optional” functions (as an option related to commodity accounting). But this is usually not required, and in many cases it is inappropriate for objective reasons: it is difficult to find a developer who would come up with the idea of implementing inventory functionality on one line of the display (but, at the same time, this functionality can be implemented by connecting an external display - and in this case, developers, of course, have a place to "turn around" and show their competitiveness).

As a rule, there is no need to add any additional programs over the factory firmware. "Command-driven" software is almost always free.

Note that a rather time-consuming initial setup of the cash register at the cashier's workplace may be required. You may have to turn to specialists, since the programming of the cash register can be carried out using special algorithms that are unfamiliar to the user.

Video - an example of programming a "command-controlled" cash register:

One way or another, in offline online cash registers ah of the “command-controlled” type, the program necessary to use the functions of the online cash register known to us is already preinstalled at the factory. You don't need to install anything. The cash register is ready to work in the "here and now" mode - although the list of functions available on it is minimal (despite the fact that it fully complies with the legislation, which sets strict requirements for cash equipment by default). And this is the main advantage of the cash programs installed on the cash registers in question.

Video - an example of the practical use of "command-controlled" software in the online cash register:

At the same time, the possibilities for integrating "command-controlled" online cash registers into a larger cash register or inventory infrastructure are in many cases very limited and may require significant investments aimed at ensuring the technical feasibility of data transfer from one device to another.

The cash registers in question are in many cases designed for “local” use - without realizing the possibility remote control via the cloud or otherwise network tool. At the same time, stable integration with inventory platforms is possible - thanks to universal data exchange interfaces (and the manufacturers' interest in providing this competitive function of their devices - thanks to which the supply of online cash registers is accompanied by the necessary drivers and instructions).

As we noted above, this integration involves connecting the cash register to an external monitor (but this is usually not the case - you need to connect a whole external computer, on which, in fact, the inventory system is installed).

Familiarize yourself with the features of connecting a "command-controlled" online cash register to local network enterprises - as one of the conditions for the integration of cash registers and other components of the cash infrastructure, you can in this video:

In general, the considered online cash desks can be attributed to extremely stable devices. Due to their technological simplicity, there is simply nothing special to "fail" and fail - at least at the software level. And this characteristic makes "command-controlled" cash desks still one of the most popular products on the cash register market. Reliability without sacrificing functionality, the absence of the need to install any software, supplemented by the price of an online cash register, which is acceptable in most cases, will always be welcomed by a trading company.

2. Devices such as "cash-smartphone" or "cash-table"

By analogy with well-known devices called smartphones and tablets, such online cash registers usually run on the Android mobile OS and require applications that are installed on the cash register, similar to those that are downloaded to regular smartphones and tablets from Google Play.

In fact, a “cash-smartphone” is a smartphone that is combined into one case and is technologically connected with other key hardware components of an online cash register - fiscal accumulator, receipt printer. The main computing and communication modules, as a rule, are included in the smartphone itself (but if necessary, they can be supplemented with external ones - as an option, connected through the ports available on the mobile gadget).

The most famous CCP models of this type on the Russian market are those belonging to the Evotor line, as well as the MSPOS-K device (developed by the Alfa-project STC).

In “smartphone cash registers”, system operations are obviously performed at the level of the mobile OS itself, and applied ones, those that involve the user using the main functions of the cash register, have already been moved to the level of installed mobile applications.

Both system and application software in the case of Evotor cash registers and the MSPOS-K device are pre-installed at the factory. But users have a fundamental opportunity to install their programs on the “cash-smartphone”. Although, again, in practice there is not much point in doing this: the costs of the technical implementation of reinstalling system and application software can be very noticeable for business, and the user most likely will not receive any tangible benefits in the functionality of the cash register - the possibilities of pre-installed software in Evotor and MSPOS-K are extremely competitive already. It is unlikely that it will be possible to assemble something more powerful “on the knee”.

The opportunity to install its own software at the application level at MSPOS-K cash desks is used, in particular, by MTS. Devices based on the specified CCP model from STC "Alfa-project" with its own software mobile operator promotes on the market as a product "".

The functionality of cash register programs in “smartphone cash registers” has almost unlimited potential - with unconditional compliance with the minimum requirements established by law. This potential rests on the desire (and ability) of a mobile application developer to include something in their product. It really can be anything - up to "box office quests" on 3D graphics.

In practice, the capabilities of cash registers based on mobile gadgets include, as a rule, not only cash transactions, but also, for example, the implementation of inventory procedures of any complexity. The use of applications designed to implement various loyalty programs is widespread - in the form of discounts and special offers for visitors. And this is only a small part of the examples of functionality that is potentially available for "cash-smartphones".

You can get acquainted with the practical application of the pre-installed software on the “smartphone checkout” from Evotor in this video:

Manufacturers of such cash desks can even open their own app stores. The company "Evotor" (LINK) has such a program, there are a huge number of programs, paid and free. The ability to equip your online cash register with application software with the required functionality is the most important competitive advantage of a store today. Thanks to “cash-smartphones”, the possibilities here are the widest.

Mobile cash register models in many cases are very easily integrated into a larger cash register infrastructure - based on cloud technologies or using other network principles. Such checkouts can be managed remotely, collect any statistical information on sales from them, organize interactive communication between store employees directly from the checkouts, and solve other tasks aimed at improving business efficiency.

3. Devices of the "cash-desk-computer" type

Essentially, these devices and those based on mobile gadgets are the same type of equipment. But on the “cash-computer” an operating system is installed, typical for a PC - Windows or Linux.

Examples of such devices are Viki Mini, Viki Micro, Viki Tower manufactured by Dreamkas. In fact, these are full-fledged computers, on which, like on ordinary PCs, any programs can be installed (if there are no technical restrictions from the manufacturer - but "craftsmen" can bypass them if, again, this makes sense).

You can get acquainted with the specifics of using the built-in software on the “cash-computer” in this video:

The potential for expanding the functionality on "computer checkouts" is as great as in the case of "smartphone checkouts" - the only difference is that programs optimized for PC OS are installed on the former, and mobile applications are installed on the latter. From the point of view of the end user, there may be no difference between both types of software in principle (and in theory, a software vendor may release the same product, adapted for both Windows and Linux, and for Android).

Therefore, the choice between “smartphone cash registers” and “computer cash registers” is in most cases subjective (sometimes adjusted for technical capabilities operating cash and communication infrastructure in a trading enterprise, which can be better adapted to the cash registers of a certain type).

In choosing online cash registers of the same type, “internal competition” can also be observed - if we are talking about comparing models, one of which works on Windows, the other on Linux. And it is possible that the user, not finding optimal solution, will choose the third option - "cash-smartphone" on Android.

Software for modular cash registers

The next type of equipment is modular cash desks. The devices that relate to it are kits that consist of the following main modules:

  1. fiscal registrar.

This component is key in terms of giving the set functionality, in fact, an online cash register, since it is the registrar who carries out the main fiscal procedures. In many cases, the fiscal registrar is referred to as an "online cash register" as such - precisely because of this reason.

The fiscal registrar contains:

  • the main hardware component of the online cash register is the fiscal drive;
  • built-in processor, memory;
  • the necessary communication modules to ensure the reception and transmission of data via the Internet.
  1. Computing module and online cash register management modules.

The computing module can be represented by:

  • computer (regular or adapted specifically for use as part of the cash register);
  • smartphone, tablet.

Possible control modules are a regular or special cash register keyboard, mouse, smartphone or tablet screen.

In the modular online cash register, the software is divided into several levels:

  • low-level system software pre-installed on the fiscal registrar;
  • system software of the computing module;
  • application software of the computing module.

It is quite obvious that modular cash desks are a technological variety of “cash-smartphones” and “cash-computers”. Their difference is that in modular cash registers the fiscalization function (provided by a fiscal drive) is moved “outside the case”. That is, it is implemented in a separate device - a fiscal registrar.

Its application is characterized, as a rule, by a disproportionately higher productivity - in comparison with fiscal modules "inside the case" of an autonomous cash register.

This is due to the fact that, as we noted above, the registrar is equipped with its own processor and memory, and does not waste the resources of the computing module (which solves "its own" applied tasks). High performance registrar makes the use of a modular cash desk indispensable for high-intensity sales - for example, at supermarket checkouts. The use of a less productive autonomous cash register can "slow down" the process.

In addition, fiscal registrars are usually equipped with automatic check paper cutters. Autonomous cash desks - not in all cases. The presence of a cutter also allows the cashier to save time on serving a large flow of customers.

If we talk about the functionality of the modular cash register at the application level, then the key theses regarding it, quite obviously, will be exactly the same as those given above in the context of considering the potential of “cash-smartphones” and “cash-computers”.

However, speaking specifically about modular solutions, they are usually characterized by:

  1. Almost complete freedom of user choice regarding the installation of both system and application software at the level of computing modules, freedom of choice of cash register management modules.

The owner of a CCP can choose a device with any OS - with the only limitation being the need for compatible drivers for the fiscal registrar. If the OS is too exotic, then the registrar manufacturer may simply not have drivers for it.

But such a scenario is quite rare. Manufacturers of CCPs, as a rule, pay quite a lot of attention to the use of universal technical principles in the production and maintenance of devices released to the market. And if one fiscal registrar is compatible with Windows, then, as a rule, there are no problems with the implementation of its compatibility, relatively speaking, with the Android or even iOS operating system.

Examples of effective software implemented at the level of the computing module of an online cash register - a computer, smartphone or tablet, include such solutions as:

a) from among the "stationary" solutions (which are installed on a PC) - 1C: Cashier (LINK).

This program, which is primarily used as an inventory accounting tool, is equipped with a special module that is designed for use at the cashier's workplace. Using this module, the 1C user performs fiscalization and other procedures specific to the use of online cash registers.

b) among cloud solutions - Subtotal (LINK).

Under the Subtotal brand, several lines of cash register and inventory accounting software are delivered to the Russian market at once, adapted to different types of business. The interface of the Subtotal cash register application contains options that allow you to fully use the functions of online cash registers in accordance with the law.

c) From among the solutions on iOS - the Cashier My Warehouse application (LINK).

MySklad company, famous brand in the inventory software market, is becoming an influential player in the segment of software solutions for fiscalization. In this case, we are talking about development adapted for iOS devices - if they are preferable to the user than those that work on Android.

Other noteworthy solutions for modular online cash desks include:

  • the free Mini-KKM program, which implements the basic functionality for managing various types of fiscal registrars - mainly the ATOL line - LINK;
  • program Mr. Doc for trade management, which implements the functionality for the cashier's workplace - LINK;
  • Retail 365 solution with functions for fiscalizing payments in almost any business segment - LINK;
  • Poster program adapted for accepting payments on iPad and other platforms - LINK .

It is up to the user to try different variants, as the modularity of the cash register allows you to experiment. As an option - by changing not so much the software as the modules themselves. It is possible that when using the same software work will go more effective on a touchscreen than on a keyboard - and vice versa.

If we talk about specialized POS computers used as a computing module, then, as a rule, one or another software product from the supplier is preinstalled in them. For example, in the line of cash registers from ATOL there is a powerful product ATOL Retail 54 Pro based on a POS computer with a pre-installed multifunctional program Frontol 5 (LINK). Note that such solutions are premium in terms of their cost - although the functionality of the pre-installed cash register software may well justify the expenses incurred by the enterprise.

  1. Focus on predominantly stationary use.

This is due to relatively high level energy consumption of fiscal registrars - key hardware components of modular cash registers. Few recorder models are equipped with batteries. And those that are equipped - as a rule, are much more expensive than those devices that are powered by the network.

For comparison, an ATOL 11F registrar with a battery of up to 15 hours of battery life (this figure is very decent for standalone online cash registers) costs about 24,000 rubles. Its usual version without a battery is more than 3,000 rubles cheaper. At the same time, you can also choose a cheaper one from brand registrars that are not adapted to battery life- for example, the device ATOL 30F.

But even if the registrar is autonomous (has a price that suits the trading company), then it is usually not very convenient for a representative of the company to carry the entire “set” with him. In many cases, an autonomous cash register will be more optimal. And modular, as a rule, is more suitable for permanent points of sale with a large flow of customers.

Conclusions: features of the choice of cash register software depending on the type of online cash desk

So, we got acquainted with the main types of software for online cash registers, the specifics of the application of which depend, first of all, on the configuration of the online cash register itself. That's why, if there is a question - which cash register program to choose, then the answer to it should be sought from the solution of another question - what type of online cash register is optimal for a particular enterprise. And based on this, consider options with specific software.

Let's try to highlight key features and the advantages of the software that is installed on the online checkouts of the above categories. This will help us navigate when choosing a cash solution, all other things being equal (or, perhaps, become a more confident choice criterion if there are prior preferences for a particular equipment).

So, we learned that there are cash desks:

  1. Autonomous "command-controlled".

They are pre-installed with factory firmware, in which software modules for the end user are “embedded” - necessary for conducting key operations at the online cash register as part of the fiscalization of revenue. It is technically very difficult to replace such firmware, but in practice there is no need. But you don’t need to install anything to them either: the online cash register, provided it is correctly configured, is immediately ready for work.

Who is “command-driven” cash register software for: small convenience stores, private workshops, suppliers household services and other start-up businesses that do not plan to integrate cash registers into a large-scale cash register infrastructure according to network principles.

The main advantages of "command-controlled" cash register software:

  • reliability (including in the aspect of information security - such software is almost impossible to infect with a virus, as well as to influence the cash register in a different "hacker" way);
  • ease of use;
  • no need to install additional user modules;
  • free in most cases.

The disadvantages of such software include:

  • “too basic” functionality that may not meet the needs of the business and its competitive criteria;
  • in many cases, poor adaptability to the integration of the online cash register into the cash and inventory infrastructure used by the trade enterprise;

in some cases - the need to commit quite a lot of labor during the initial setup of the equipment.

  1. Autonomous type "cash-smartphone" or "cash-computer".

These devices also have factory firmware - however, more technologically advanced in comparison with the "command-controlled". Namely - based on a full-fledged operating system - Android, Windows, Linux. Theoretically, the user can replace the firmware with his own - but this is not always justified.

On the system firmware, you can easily "add" any required end-user-oriented applications. These can be both pure cash register applications (including pre-installed ones), and those that allow you to keep inventory records at the checkout and perform other operations aimed at improving business efficiency.

Who this software is suitable for: any type of business that has a budget for installing online cash desks of the type in question. With comparable performance in terms of basic functionality - required by law, these solutions can cost up to 2-3 times more than "command-controlled" online cash registers. At the same time, the return due to the powerful functionality of the “cash-smartphone” can exceed all expectations.

The huge potential in terms of implementing the functionality of online cash registers through the installation of user applications can be called a key advantage of this type of software. Other benefits of these programs include:

  • ease and simplicity of setup and use - as is the case with most user applications in principle;
  • ease of integration of the online cash register into a larger cash and inventory infrastructure based on network principles (due to the use of a full-fledged operating system, which, in fact, turns the cash register into an efficient network computer).

However, this software also has disadvantages:

  • potential instability to computer threats, viruses - since we are talking about the use of a full-fledged operating system designed to solve a large number tasks at the same time (as a result, it is easier for the virus to "squeeze" between such tasks);
  • potential errors, "glitches" - due to the complexity of software algorithms implemented in the operating system or at the level of application software (it is extremely difficult, in principle, to find a program that would not be "buggy" at all);

in many cases - paid (you buy a distribution kit or a subscription to access a cloud cash server).

  1. Modular.

The main distinguishing feature of such cash registers is the presence of an independent computing module, represented by a PC or a mobile gadget running an operating system. You can install almost any program on it according to the needs of a particular trade enterprise.

The advantages and disadvantages of modular solutions will be, in general, the same as those that characterize technological stand-alone "smartphone cash registers" and "tablet cash registers" - since they all work on the same principles. However, modular solutions in many cases have the "reverse side" of the very "freedom in the installation" of software - in the form of the absence of any pre-installed software from the supplier. Or - when this software in terms of functionality, objectively, is not far from the capabilities of "command-controlled" cash desks.

That is, you will have to devote time to finding and setting up “your own” software, while a ready-made functional solution from the supplier would probably be more suitable to meet the needs of the business. As an option - in the form of a "cash-smartphone" or "cash-computer".

If you need a ready-made "modular" kit, then in many cases a specialized solution based on a POS computer with pre-installed cash register software that has the necessary functionality will be optimal. But its price can be significantly higher than the costs that would be typical for equipping a conventional PC with a cash register program used as a computing module at an online cash register. Or - installation of an autonomous cash register of one type or another.

Video - how the free cash register program Dreamkas Start works:

The catalog and product search have been redesigned. Now you can specify the buyer when selling using a phone number or by searching by full name. The changes also affected the personal account. Now, manufacturing operations have become available and technological maps, allowing to carry out and keep records of assembly / production operations. In the receipt of goods, you can put the mark "Without payment" if you do not need to take this document into account in mutual settlements with suppliers.

Business.Ru Cashier added a cashier's PIN code to enter a retail outlet. The developers decided to abandon complex passwords consisting of 6 or more characters. Now, to enter the cash register program, the cashier needs to enter a simple PIN code consisting of four digits. You no longer need to remember complex, long passwords that you can accidentally forget or lose, and, as a result, often contact the administrator to change the password. 4-digit PIN codes are strong passwords. They are easy to remember and, at the same time, not easy to pick up by intruders - about 10,000 various combinations four-digit passwords consisting of numbers from 0 to 9. In order to set a PIN code for entering the cash register program, you need to enter the inventory system and set a new password in the cashier's card.

Other: displaying purchase prices and sales prices in the inventory act (when uploading to a file), selecting and saving legal entities. persons when paying for goods received, expanding the capabilities of the cash register application (Android) to work without it on a 7" tablet, etc.

2017. Transition to online cash desks began in Russia

Last year, the State Duma of Russia adopted a law on the transition of all retail outlets in the country to cash desks that transmit information about settlements to the tax office. in electronic format in real time. According to the law, starting tomorrow (February 1), it will be impossible to register a cash desk that does not meet the new requirements, and from July 1, 2017, all trading enterprises will have to transfer cash receipts in the Federal Tax Service of Russia online. Updating one cash desk will cost about 25 thousand rubles. Online cashier you need to register on the website of the Federal Tax Service, get a registration number and select one of the fiscal data operators who have the right to collect information from the cash register and transfer it to the tax authorities.

1C has released version 2.2.5 of the 1C: Retail trade automation system. It implements work with a new type of equipment - cash register equipment with data transfer. The version of Federal Law No. 54-FZ “On the use of cash registers…”, effective from July 3, 2016, requires that, from July 1, 2017, organizations and the majority individual entrepreneurs used only online CCP. The peculiarity of cash registers is that all information about payments must be transmitted through the fiscal data operator directly to tax office. 1C: Retail generates electronic checks sent to the tax office in full compliance with Federal Law 54-FZ, and can also send electronic checks to customers by e-mail and sms. In addition, you can work with the CCP fiscal drive from the program.

2016. Evotor - smart terminal + service for outlets

2013. Privatbank launched online accounting

Bank accounts and banking transactions are an integral part of accounting. Therefore, it is very logical if every normal bank would provide its customers with an online accounting service, in which you can pay / view statements and keep financial records. Perhaps the first in the post-Soviet space to come to this is the largest Ukrainian bank, Privatbank. They did not bother with the name of the service - Online Accounting. But they spared no time and resources to create functionality: in the service, you can fully maintain accounting records (cash, accounts, income, expenses, salaries, assets ...), form source documents, reporting documents for tax and social funds, maintain contracts and orders, catalog of goods and warehouse accounting, manage customer relationships (CRM), provide technical support (Helpdesk), and of course, use online banking.
