I have on at the moment only six plants, but I was lucky that they were all different and none were the same. I think the mission to collect the remaining ten is not feasible, but still I am counting on 4-5 more plants, because just the other day we are going to buy at Lenta.

The growing kit consists of natural elements: seeds, peat tablet, planting pot. Each kit includes instructions for planting and general recommendations for growing plants.
Please note that each plant has its own individual growth period. The degree and speed of plant germination depends on growing conditions, watering, and seed storage conditions. Do not forget to transplant the plant into a larger pot in time.

And here are my plants - cucumber, sunflower, beets, radishes, peas and basil.
They were in these cardboard boxes, inside was a planting pot, a peat tablet and the seeds themselves - each bag of seeds was labeled and indicated the expiration date and the date by which the seeds must be planted.
All necessary instructions on planting plants is located on the double page of our cardboard label.
There is also a ruler for measuring the height of the soil - this is necessary for planting, but personally, after the first pot, I did everything by eye, and there is also a special sign with the name of the plant and the date of planting and replanting, in order to stick this sign into our pot with plant and sign when it was planted.
For planting, we will need, in addition to our kit, warm water (I took boiled water), a bowl to soak the peat tablet in it, a spoon and a measuring cup.
I did everything according to the instructions, put the tablet in a plate and poured 40 ml onto it warm water, and then waited for the tablet to swell and turn into full-fledged soil.
She crushed it with a spoon and began to put it in our pot.
I filled the pot not reaching the edge by 5 mm - 1 cm, it depends on how much soil was obtained from our peat tablet. We definitely need to leave some soil to cover our seeds.
I planted the seeds - carefully distributing them in a pot and covered them with the remaining soil, poured water - 1-2 teaspoons, after which I wrote the planting date on a sign - for me it is 04/1/17 and stuck it in our pot with the plant.
I did the same with the rest of the plants. After which I put all the pots in this small box for convenience and placed them on computer desk next to the window - this is where I have the brightest and coolest place, and also there is no direct light here sun rays- plants should feel comfortable here.
Also, don’t forget to water our plants.
IMPORTANT!
If suddenly your peat tablet does not swell, then the water is not hot enough, I probably suffered like this with three pots, after which I went to boil the kettle and exchanged my plate for a measuring cup - since it was not too deep, the water did not completely cover tablet and because of this it did not swell and it was not soil, but rather just dirty water.
As soon as I changed the container and began to pour hotter water, the process went much better and the soil became thicker and there was more of it than in the first three pots. Therefore, I advise you to take this moment into account.
Now I just have to wait for my sprouts to sprout - as the plants grow, I will make updates and add photos! Therefore, if anyone is interested, subscribe and follow the growth of my plants with me!
I really really liked this promotion; this time Lenta really tried not only for children, but this process will be of interest to both adults and teenagers. I’ve already made plans to buy larger pots so that I can replant my plants and continue growing them)

6 days have passed since the plants were planted; they were planted on 04/1/17, today is 04/7/17.
Almost all the sprouts have sprouted, except for the basil and cucumber, but today they too have made small progress; it is clear that the sprouts are hatching. Tomorrow I will transplant radishes, peas and sunflowers into seedling boxes that I bought the other day at Lenta - if everything goes well, I will post photographs of the transplanted plants here for further observation.

My seeds
The seeds that I got: pepper, peas, sunflower, morning glory, dill, cucumber.
I already had 3 types of seeds at home, or rather grew successfully, albeit of other varieties: cucumber, pepper and dill. But this was my first time encountering morning glory, peas and sunflowers. I had to look up the name “Ipomoea” on the Internet because I heard it for the first time. It turned out that this is a flower that is somewhat similar to a bell, very cute, it happens different colors.
Of course, it is preferable to grow all these seeds in open ground, but I’m a typical apartment dweller, so I planted the plants for the sake of experimentation, not counting on a happy ending and fruiting, if only to simply find out what quality the seeds I got were.
Morning glory. Seed planting details.
I decided to start the process of planting seeds with the same morning glory, the existence of which I first heard.
As the manufacturer promised, the kit included everything necessary for planting: a peat tablet, a peat pot, seeds and growing instructions - the same for all seeds:
The morning glory seeds turned out to be different colors (3 white, 1 black). I guess because they were collected from plants of different colors, although initially I was afraid that black seed spoiled and will not germinate:
This was my first time planting using a peat tablet. I acted strictly according to the instructions. I put the tablet in a disposable plate:
Then she added 40 ml of water (two 20 ml syringes), and began to wait for the tablet to absorb the water:
To make the soaking process faster, crush the tablet with a spoon, scraping off the top soft layer and allowing the water to soak the inner layers:
Then I used the same spoon to pour the soaked soil into a peat cup, just short of reaching the edge, and put the seeds in the corners:
Then I sprinkled it with the remaining soil. The soil from the tablet was enough for this pot.
Then she stuck the sign in, signed the planting date and continued to work on other seeds.
Of course, from the very beginning it was clear that this tiny pot would only be suitable for one seed, but for the sake of experiment (to check germination), I “stuffed” them all together into one container.
All the seeds hatched on the 3rd day after planting, all at the same time!

I will describe the remaining seeds in less detail, since the principle of planting is the same for all of them.I planted half of the seeds on the same date - March 13, the rest the next day - March 14.
The appearance of all the seeds was beautiful: even, large, and the quantity was no less (and sometimes more) than indicated on the package.

Despite the fact that the seeds were incredibly cramped in their peat pots(the manufacturer didn’t think this through), they all, without exception, sprouted! Dill and pepper, of course, cannot be counted “by head,” but a lot grew, and those that had 2-3-4 pieces in a package all hatched!
The hardest thing is for the sunflower: the sunflower has such a name that it should grow “under the sun”, and not on dim windowsills near Moscow... Therefore, it quickly stretched out and “drooped”, bent under the weight of its young leaves:
Feels best, in my opinion green peas: has a dense stem, many leaves and beautiful root system, which has already sprouted through its peat pot:
The pepper was the last to hatch: just today, on the day of the photo shoot. And it has the highest “population density” in the pot, so I’m not sure that it will even be possible to pick it normally, because, as far as I know, peppers are capricious guys before picking, and it is preferable to plant them immediately, each seed in an individual cup... But I I was convinced that the pepper seeds were also of good quality.
Morning glory is growing very steadily, and all the seeds sprouted at the same time and now all 4 are of the same height. Just like the twins, only one plant has slight problems with the leaves due to a persistent seed coat that did not want to come off:
The cucumbers also hatched at the same time and quickly stretched. I can’t imagine how to “unstick” them, but this already needs to be done:
Well, with dill I had no doubt that it would sprout. It always germinates for me, but it grows weak and short, I don’t know why... I assume that it is cramped in a glass at home and needs more sun.
Conclusions
⦁ Since all the seeds are of high quality, it is better to plant 1 seed from each package in a gift peat cup, and either save the rest for the garden or prepare another separate container.⦁ I didn’t soak any seeds before planting, and absolutely all of them sprouted, which means that the included instructions are not deceiving, even though they are the same for all seeds. I watered with a syringe as the soil dried out.
⦁ In any case, it’s nice to receive such a small gift for your purchases. Today, after another trip to the hypermarket, my collection has been replenished:
Even in the recent past, our grandparents filled their window sills with seedlings, depriving their home of sunlight. Although, some still do this to this day. However, today there are many devices with the help of which you do not have to sacrifice your own comfort for the sake of green waste. This is what we will be talking about: LED strip for plants (phyto-LED strip or simply).
It is with the help of them that you can set the required length daylight hours, arranging plants as your heart desires.
Phyto-LED strips do not harm plants. They do not dry out the soil, and therefore can be watered less often. They do not cause thermal burns on leaves because they do not produce heat.
An undoubted advantage is also that various LEDs can influence the growth and maturation of seedlings in the way we need at the time we need.
In fact, phytoLED strips do not have much distinctive features from simple LED strips. Phyto-LEDs, like regular ones, are small in size, use little electricity, and can function for a long time with long-term use. This description Suitable for any type of LED strips and lighting devices with them.
A special difference between phyto-LEDs is the wavelength of light they emit. It is 450–660 nm. This frequency spectrum is called “phytoactive” because of its ability to directly influence the formation and maturation of plants. Certain parts of the spectrum, in particular violet and blue (440–470 nm), have an extremely beneficial effect on the development of the root system, as well as the development of inflorescences and fruiting. The development of the stem part of the plant and leaves is promoted by the infrared part of the spectrum (630–660 nm).
LED strips used for plants
LED strips for plants can have either a full spectrum or only monochrome. Sometimes during production, some manufacturers combine them into full-spectrum and multi-color matrices (this is when they use different crystals in one LED).
LEDs that emit only the blue or only the red part of the spectrum are called monochrome. They are used only in certain phases of plant development. For example, when you need to promote the rapid production of flowers and fruits.
Full-spectrum LEDs are more reminiscent of ordinary rays of the sun. Their use can be possible in any of the phases of seedling development, as well as to provide light indoor flowers. Their coefficient useful action several times more than monochrome ones.
To summarize, we can distinguish several types of phyto-LED strips:
- monochrome;
- having a full spectrum;
- combined (united).
At the same time, it is worth highlighting the fact that cultivation is carried out under (phyto-tapes), and not just under LEDs. If we consider the design of the lamp, it consists of phyto-LEDs, a reflector and a power supply. You can even make this kind of structure yourself, which will cost much less than its production counterparts.
Phyto-LED strips used for seedlings
To obtain healthy and strong plants, experienced amateur gardeners advise using monochrome phyto-LED strips - blue and red - before picking, so that their proportion is 2:1. The blue spectrum provides rapid development root system, inhibiting stem growth. Therefore, the seedlings do not spend all their energy on forming the stem and turn out healthy and strong.
When plants go through the peaking stage, their need for constant active light decreases slightly. And due to the small need for a period of rest, the light can be turned off completely for 1-2 days.
Most plants require 13 hours of daylight. However, depending on the species, some may have a higher or lower need. Information about this can be obtained from special sources or from more experienced gardeners or directly in your own practical way.
PhytoLED strips used for indoor plants
When planting new plants, it is possible to use the same tips regarding seedlings. But, during the period when the plant is already fully formed, it would be more correct and practical to use phyto-LED strips that have a full spectrum, similar to sunlight. They are more acceptable to plants.
But here you should take into account the annual cycles indoor plants, as well as their specific characteristics regarding the length of daylight hours. Because many of them, for example in winter, need a resting phase, when there is no need for additional lighting. And for some, its absence is even beneficial.
On days without sun or rainy weather, flowers also need additional lighting.
There is a fairly simple method for determining its necessity. Turn on the lighting. If it becomes much lighter, then you can leave it. If nothing much has changed, then additional lighting is not required for your flowers and seedlings.
At the same time, it should be noted the importance LED backlight ribbons as an element of room decor. Its use will have both a practical and aesthetic function. The illumination angle of each diode is 70–120 degrees, so it can be used in poorly lit areas of the room with natural light, with the so-called northern location of the rooms. This lighting will look extremely beautiful in apartments in loft or high-tech style.

Its disadvantages are very insignificant. By actively using them, you can achieve good results in growing high-quality, healthy seedlings and flowers, regardless of season and weather conditions.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The retailer has launched a “Plantation Promotion” - at the checkout, for purchases, you are given a collectible set for growing seedlings: seeds, peat tablet and a pot. Buyers are offered to collect a collection of plants from 16 types of vegetables, flowers and herbs.
“Plantation Action” is designed as a game for families with children. Imagining themselves as farmers and gardeners, children take care of plants with interest and watch them grow.
Lenta also released everything you need to care for a mini-plantation: trays, watering cans, mini gardening tools and seedling boxes.
PACKAGING DESIGN
We developed branded packaging for the collectible set. The design consists of a shell - a cardboard “sleeve”. On its back are printed planting instructions, general recommendations for growing plants and auxiliary materials. The label is used as an identifier reminder. It indicates the place and date of planting the seedlings.
The timing of 15 seconds was not enough to familiarize the audience with the action. Therefore, we proposed releasing two videos alternately: at the beginning and at the middle of the promotion. During the event, this will maintain the interest of buyers. The creative department has developed scenarios that play out the situations of receiving a gift and the plantation game itself. The plot is based on emotional family and children's images.

Lenta has launched a project website where you can learn more about the plants in the collection. The process of their growth is shown in a minute-long video that we filmed using a centrifuge. Centrifer took one frame at a time set time, and three weeks later the footage was edited into one dynamic video. So that buyers can see how easy it is to grow a plant themselves from the sets of the Plantation Promotions collection, we have removed step by step guide. It included elements of centrifugal photography.
