Installing the sink in the countertop is carried out according to the following algorithm:

On the countertop, find the installation site of the sink and determine the shape of the future hole. To do this, the sink is turned over and circled along the contour directly on the countertop or on cardboard. If you have chosen a product of complex shape, then the finished template is most likely already included in the kit - this will help cut the desired hole;
The finished template is applied to the countertop at a distance of about 7 centimeters from the edge and they begin to cut it out. To do this, 1.8 cm deep recede from the edge of the template, leaving support for the sides of the sink;
On the cutting line, first make a hole with a drill, and then cut out the contour with a jigsaw. The lower part of the tabletop is fixed so that it does not fall out when cutting and does not damage the edge of the remaining surface;

How to cut a niche

Now you can make a trial dive of the sink into the niche. Please note that the sides of the product should be close enough to the walls of the cut. A slight play is allowed, since the sink must freely enter the cutout. Places that interfere with full immersion must be filed with a jigsaw. First you need to install complete fasteners that serve to fix the product. How to fix the sink securely

The sink is inserted into the niche and aligned with the markup. We take several fasteners (2-4 are enough) and at an equidistant distance from each other we begin to fasten the sink, gradually tightening the screws. In the process of tightening, we constantly control the position of the shell relative to the markup. Do not use a screwdriver, so as not to disrupt the plastic threads on the fasteners.

After making sure that the sink has taken the correct position, diagonally tighten the fasteners on the screws.

Installation of a free-standing sink

The countertop sink is mainly held onto the vanity unit by its own ribs that protrude beyond the base. These models also differ in the availability of space for drying, the number of bowls, sizes and shapes.

After that, the product is placed on the cabinet and pressed tightly along all edges. After a few days, a completely sealed layer is created that will not allow water to leak under the cabinet.

Mounting on mounting brackets. In some cases, special fasteners are sold along with the sink. First, self-tapping screws are baited into the inner walls of the cabinet, on which brackets are hung. Then the screws are screwed in ¾. After that, the sink is installed in the opening with mixing on the mounting bracket.

In the process of maneuvering, it is necessary to ensure that the sink is completely pressed against the pedestal, and the self-tapping screw is fixed in the place where the corner is deepened. Then the screws are screwed in until they stop.

Mounting on wooden bars. This method is used when the previous two are not suitable, for example, due to a countertop defect or the lack of appropriate connectors on the sink. In this case, you will need 4 wooden bars and furniture corners. Using these materials, you can make an installation site.

The height of the bars is selected so that the sink is at the same level as the rest of the kitchen furniture. The bars are cut to the size of the cabinet and fastened from the outside with the help of furniture corners. A home-made design is installed on the cabinet and corners with self-tapping screws on the inside are screwed to the walls of the underframe.

Tools for work:

jigsaw and drill;
wrench or gas wrench - for installation of communications.

Step 1. Carefully cut out the template for installing the kitchen sink along the contour. Determine a place on the countertop where the installation of the inset sink will not be interfered with by the elements located under the countertop. Place the template on the countertop and carefully align it parallel to the edge, secure and trace around the contour with a pencil.
Step 2. Paste the surface of the countertop along the contour with masking tape. This is done in order to protect its surfaces from damage by the jigsaw body when cutting a hole.
Step 3. Drill a hole for the jigsaw blade with a drill. Cut the hole exactly along the contour.
