Is there a sea in Romania. Holidays at sea in Romania. Resorts of Romania. Black Sea - Romania. The best vacation spots

Russian tourists vacationing on the Black Sea, as a rule, choose Bulgaria, Turkey or the Russian Black Sea coast of Crimea or the Caucasus. Rarely enough, the choice stops on a vacation in Romania at sea. This relative unpopularity is not entirely deserved.

Which Romanian resort to choose?

The main advantage of the Romanian seaside resorts is amazing clean sandy beaches and low prices, which can only be compared with the beaches of Bulgaria. In addition, while relaxing in, you can not only sunbathe and swim, but also significantly improve your health.

Almost all seaside resorts in Romania combine beach holidays with spa treatments.

Romanian resorts are divided into three main directions:

  1. Marine resorts of the Black Sea coast, offering mainly beach holidays, are located in the historical region of Dobruja;
  2. Mountain and ski resorts in the Romanian Carpathians;
  3. Therapeutic resorts and sanatoriums, which are located both on the coast and in the Carpathians.

The best vacation spots

    Constanta- one of the largest cities in Romania and the most populated city on its Black Sea coast. This is the main seaside resort in Romania, attracting tourists not only for its beaches, but also for the rich history of the city and numerous entertainments.

    Beaches in Constanta they are sandy, however, half of the sea coast within the city is occupied by a huge port. The city has many hotels and holiday homes for every budget.

    Now Constanta is the main center of the 50-kilometer resort area, stretching along the sea coast to the north and south of the city.

    Mom, I- a small town north of Constanta, located 5 kilometers from it. Mamaia is the oldest resort in Romania, it was founded at the beginning of the 20th century on a cape between the sea coast and Lake Siutghiol.

    Now Mamaia - family recreation center, more than 60 hotels of all categories are open here. The main attraction of Mamaia is one of the largest water parks in Eastern Europe. The sandy beaches of Mamaia stretch for more than 8 kilometers along the coast.

    resort town Costinesti located 30 kilometers south of Constanta. Costinesti, first of all, is a youth resort, hotels here are much cheaper than in Constanta, and are mainly represented by 2 and 3 star categories.

    This resort is distinguished by an active nightlife: there are many nightclubs, and nightly beach discos are held during the holiday season.

    Saturated with Costinesti and cultural events: a youth film festival is held here, and during the jazz festival, many musicians play right on the streets. The beach is located right in the city and stretches for 5 kilometers along the coast.

    Neptune Olympus- the most picturesque resort on the Black Sea coast of Romania. The resort is located on the edge of the Komarov forest adjacent to the sea coast, thanks to which the air in this resort is especially clean and healthy. Hotels in this resort have categories from 1 to 3 stars, there are many entertainment venues, restaurants, and an amusement park.

    Neptune-Olympus is located in a 10-kilometer resort area created during socialist times in the southern part of the Romanian Black Sea coast. Many of the resorts in this area wear charming ancient names: Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and others.

  • Mangalia- the southernmost resort on the Black Sea coast of Romania. Mangalia is the oldest city in Romania, founded in the 4th century BC by Greek colonists. Mangalia successfully combines beach and therapeutic rest: there is a unique combination of mineral and thermal springs, as well as healing mud sources.
  • mountain resorts Romania are located in the Carpathian Mountains and attract lovers of clean air, hiking and horseback riding and ski holidays. The best in Romania are Poiana Brasov, Sinaia, Predeal and Bushteni. Here you can not only learn to ski, but also enjoy the unique beauty of the Romanian Carpathians.
  • Recovery in Romanian sanatoriums

    Romania is one of the centers of therapeutic rest in Eastern Europe. Romania was able to obtain this status thanks to a combination of balneological, thermal and mineral springs, thanks to which a wide range of diseases is treated. The most famous sanatoriums Romania:

  1. Medical base Cold Baths, located in the resort town of Eforie Sud on the shores of Techirghiol and the Black Sea coast, uses the famous healing mud of the lake. The salinity of the water in the lake is almost the same as in;
  2. Sapropelic mud from the bottom of the lake helps people suffering from diseases of the skin, musculoskeletal system and rheumatism.

  3. Eforie-Nord, also located on the shores of Lake Techirghiol, is a whole complex of various sanatoriums, boarding houses and treatment centers. This is one of the oldest balneological resort centers in Europe. A big plus of rest and treatment in Eforie-Nord is the low prices for accommodation and wellness procedures;
  4. Health complex "Doina" in the resort of Neptune-Olympus it combines a balneological sanatorium and a physiotherapy center located in coniferous forests with wonderful air on the sea coast with excellent beaches;
  5. Perhaps the most famous medical and health complex in Romania is located far from the sea coast in the heart of Transylvania at the foot. This is about Sovate- a mountain village, around which are located the famous thermal lakes: Ursu, Negru, Roshu and others.

    The most famous of the lakes, Ursu, bears the title "Dead Sea Transylvania". Sanatoriums of Sovata help patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, musculoskeletal system, endocrine system and other ailments.

Also, do not exchange local currency with private exchangers, since in this case there is a high risk of becoming a victim of scammers.

Good day to all, dear readers and readers! Today in my review I want to tell you about the rest in the country of Romania on the Black Sea coast. After reading my review, you will find out: what is the resort as a whole and for what purposes is it best suited, the main attractions and excursions, as well as my general impressions of the vacation. So, let's get straight to the topic of my review.

I want to say right away that I spent my vacation in the city of Constanta, which is a major seaport and has excellent access to the Black Sea. So, all Romanian resorts are beautiful in their own way, but mostly they prefer those that have beaches. I want to note that this country is famous for its health centers, so if during the rest period you also want to improve your health, then I recommend choosing the Black Sea Romania (especially for those who suffer from nervous and cardiovascular diseases). This place of rest can be chosen at any time of the year, the climate here is moderate and not very hot (about zero degrees in winter, and twenty-two degrees in summer). I advise you to come with the whole family, as the resort is inexpensive and local prices are quite low.

The main attraction is nature. Romania has very nice landscapes that are breathtaking, I advise you to bring your camera. Also not far from the coast are churches, mosques, various monuments, caves, ruins, cathedrals. Naturally, as in any resort, there are many excursions, which are group trips around the city, rafting by sea, their cost is not so high, but it is more profitable to travel on your own. You can also organize a tour for two, it will turn out very romantic and beautiful. I took care of various trips around the city in advance, as well as the choice of a hotel. I strongly advise you to visit parks and museums, it is better individually, separately from a group tour. Of course, I spent most of my vacation on the Black Sea beach. The water is very clean, and the sand is light and warm, very pleasant. The sun is not as hot and bright, so you can have sunscreen with minimal protection (about 40 spf). There are many entertainments on the coast: tennis, golf, horseback riding, bars, scooter rental, bowling, billiards and much more. As for tourists, there are a lot of them, especially on the coast, so I advise you to get up early to relax normally by the sea. By the way, in the morning the view of the sea is even more beautiful, especially if you come to the sunset.

I was generally satisfied with my vacation, but there are still some small drawbacks, namely: a lot of tourists and a hotel. As for accommodation, when I booked a hotel room, I was hoping for more, that is, all inclusive. In fact, it turned out that the room did not meet the stated expectations. But still, the cost for such a room is lower than in any other resorts. I really liked the food in Romania. Thanks to local markets, I could eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day, which are very tasty and inexpensive. There are a lot of souvenir shops in the city where you can buy gifts for family and friends. As for the language, there was an employee at the hotel who spoke Russian, in other places the help of a dictionary was required. In general, the impressions and emotions were only positive, I did not regret that I chose this place for a vacation that lasted two weeks. I advise everyone!

I hope my review left a good impression!

Do you want to change the situation, go on vacation, but do not know which place to choose as the point of your stay? For fans of the Black Sea, a great alternative to Crimea will be a seaside vacation in Romania. A local cocktail of magnificent nature, colorful culture, history, traditions, combined with reasonable prices, will leave indelible impressions in your memory for years to come.

Romania. Rest on the sea. Prices

This country is the birthplace of the famous Dracula. But the tourism industry on the image of the legendary vampire, alas, did not become mega-profitable. But here you can perfectly relax by the sea. Modernly equipped beaches, good hotels, the opportunity to visit many historical places make Romania very attractive for tourists. Moreover, the cost of tours is pleasantly pleasing. For example, in September 2014, tour operators offer a vacation here for two for ten days for only 45 thousand rubles, including a flight from Moscow. It is also pleasing that Romania, whose sea is famous for its flat bottom, pays great attention to children's recreation. Therefore, thousands of families with kids come here every year.

Climate features

The resorts of Romania are so popular, because this country seems to be specially created for a beach pastime. The state is located in the southwestern part of Central Europe, characterized by a long swimming season and mild winters. Wide beaches smoothly descending into the sea, golden soft sand, reasonable prices, decent hotel service, a large number of attractions, many entertainment and cultural programs - all this will give you a vacation in Romania by the sea.

In summer, spring and warm weather reigns here, the swimming season lasts from May to October. But there is no exhausting hell on the beaches - the sea light breeze even on the hottest day does not allow you to overheat.

Black Sea. Romania

The coast can be conditionally divided into two parts: the north - with lagoons, deltas and their characteristic relief; and southern - with numerous bays and capes, high, steep coast. The 244-kilometer coastal zone is entirely a series of various resorts with comfortable hotels, amusement parks, swimming pools, water activities, and discos. The resorts of Romania on the sea create all the conditions for a good rest for both children and adults.

The beaches in the country are wide with fine golden sand, a flat bottom and a smooth entry into the water. In such resorts as Mangalia and Techirghiole, their width reaches 250 meters, in other places - 50-200 meters. Most of the beaches have the EU Blue Flag. In general, the sea in Romania is calm: without large ones. That is why this is an ideal place to spend a vacation with children. In addition, for those who, along with swimming in sea waters, are not averse to swimming in fresh water, Romania offers to visit several lakes close to the sea: Acigol, Nuntash, Costinesti, and combine spending time on the beach with recovery.

Constanta

This is the third largest city in the country in terms of the number of inhabitants and the largest Black Sea port, as well as an excellent place for a seaside holiday. There are interesting sights and entertainment facilities here: a Catholic church, an Orthodox cathedral, a mosque, museums, theaters, a planetarium, a casino building erected at the beginning of the 20th century, a dolphinarium. The patron of Constanta is the poet Ovidios, in the city you can see his statue.

Mom, I

Just five kilometers from Constanta is another popular resort - Mamaia. It is spread out on a sandy spit between the Black Sea and a large freshwater lake called Syutghiol. Rest on the sea in Romania is invariably associated with this place, because Mamaia is one of the oldest resorts in the country. The coastline here stretches for eight kilometers, and the beach has a width of one hundred to two hundred meters. The city has a very extensive network of hotels: more than sixty hotels, several villas, campsites. There are also several amusement parks, the only water park in Romania with water slides, attractions and a cable car, a dolphinarium, spa centers, many discos and bars, water sports centers. And the best part is that all these entertainments are just a few steps away from the waves of the sea. During the summer, there is a theater and an exciting music festival. It is worth noting that, in comparison with other resorts in the country, the prices for many services are higher here, but the comfort of accommodation is at a higher level.

Mangalia and Saturn

This is the southernmost resort of Romania, it is located forty-four kilometers from Constanta. Mangalia is famous not only for its excellent sandy beach with a width of 250 meters, but also for its recreational opportunities. There are mineral drinking waters, sapropel therapeutic muds here. There is also a stud farm here, and you can ride fast horses for a moderate fee. Among other things, there are many discos, restaurants, bars, tennis courts, golf courses, and a natural park.

Just a kilometer from Mangalia is the resort of Saturn. It is distinguished from its neighbor by lower prices both for accommodation and for all goods and services. In some hotels of the resort, as well as in Mangalia, there are medical bases.

Eforie Sud and Eforie Nord

Holidays in Romania at the resort of Eforie Sud are chosen by people with rheumatic and dermatological diseases, as well as ailments of the skeletal system, since this place is famous all over the world for its healing capabilities. The resort is located on a limestone cape, on a high coast (35 meters), so the hotels here are more focused on treatment, and not on a high level of quality of accommodation.

Another health resort - Eforie-Nord - is located between Lake Techirghiol and fourteen kilometers from Constanta. Lake Techirghiol contains healing water, which is used to treat a number of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Here, many hotels also have their own medical bases and salt pools with water from the lake.

Neptune Olympus

This is perhaps the most luxurious resort on the Romanian coast. It is located six kilometers from Mangalia and thirty-eight kilometers from Constanta. The town covers a significant part of the Komorow forest adjacent to the coastal zone. The abundance of ozone in the atmosphere and the coniferous aroma made Neptune Olympus an ideal place to spend holidays by the sea in Romania. There are golf courses, sports fields, a water sports center, a summer cinema, an amusement park, a rustic corner and even a private pier. Families with children can go on a cruise on a steamboat or go boating on the sea - it will be interesting for kids. And for women, there are excellent shopping opportunities. Romanian stores offer a huge range of all kinds of goods.

Costinesti and Cap Aurora

If you are interested in a youth vacation at sea in Romania, then Costinesti is the best fit for you. This resort is located thirty kilometers from Constanta and is famous for its annual cultural and entertainment events, such as the Youth Film Festival, the Jazz Festival, the Sea Festival, the Meeting of Young Actors and others.

Also among young people, the Cap Aurora resort is gaining popularity - the youngest on the entire Romanian coast. It is located on and is distinguished by an interesting design of hotels. All of them here have a peculiar architecture and are named after the names of precious stones.

Jupiter

Forty kilometers from Constanta, in a picturesque bay with a wonderful beach, this quiet place is located. An abundance of greenery, a cozy atmosphere - everything here is conducive to a quiet family vacation. And for those who are committed to active pastime, it will not be difficult to take a ten-minute walk to the Neptune-Olympus resort, where you can find many sports centers.

It can successfully compete with such popular destinations as, for example, Bulgaria. Tourist opportunities in Romania are not limited to beach holidays: here you can find youth parties, climb the mountains and visit Dracula, and even undergo treatment on the lake, which is not inferior to the Dead Sea in its healing properties.

"DEAD SEA" NEAR THE BLACK

The length of the Romanian coast is only 50 km, but the local resorts differ significantly from each other.

Among the resorts of the northern coast, Mamaia is considered the most respectable, where high-star hotels are concentrated, and the infrastructure is not inferior to the Bulgarian Golden Sands or Sunny Beach. In addition to numerous restaurants, cafes and clubs, there is a water park, a dolphinarium, an amusement park and a cable car from which you can admire the panorama of the city. Mamaia is also famous for its wide sandy beaches. A local resort attraction is a lake with always cool water, where you can relax from the summer heat. Tourists can try various fish dishes in a restaurant on an island located in the middle of the lake, where the ship runs constantly. Mamaia will appeal to those who want to avoid communicating with the Russian-speaking public: the resort is popular mainly with Germans, British, Czechs, Slovaks, and Poles. However, you should be prepared for the fact that prices here are slightly higher than in other resorts.

2 km from Mamaia are the resorts of Eforie Sud and Eforie Nord. Accommodation prices here are significantly lower, so many tourists stay in local hotels and go to Mamaia for entertainment. Eforie Sud and Eforie Nord are medical resorts located between the Black Sea and Lake Tekirghiol, whose sapropelic muds are not inferior to the Dead Sea muds in terms of the content of various minerals. Techirghiol mud helps people with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and skin. It is better to go here with a ready medical card - this will save a lot of time.

You can improve your health with local muds on your own, but in this case they should not be abused: only one procedure per day is permissible. There are two beaches near the lake: women's, men's and mixed. Techirghiol muds also have a cosmetic effect: they help get rid of cellulite, scars from wounds and burns, make the skin soft and velvety. Eforie Nord is considered a more expensive resort, there are many high-star hotels, although private villas and 2 * hotels also offer their services to tourists. Eforie Sud is significantly cheaper, in addition, there is more entertainment. The sandy beaches of both resorts are well equipped. After mid-September, resort life on the northern coast subsides.

DIVINE RESORTS IN ROMANIA

The names of the resorts on the south coast are mostly derived from ancient mythology. So, among the most popular recreation areas are the resorts of Olympus and Neptune. Neptune is considered to be calmer and greener, with a wide and even beach. Among the entertainments of the resort are bowling, golf, numerous cafes. Located just 600 meters from Neptune, Olympus has a reputation for being more active and youthful. Its characteristic feature is a small number of hotels on the coast: they are mainly located at a distance of 500-600 meters from the beach. Two- and three-star hotels prevail here, although there is also a "four" in which they treat with the mud of Lake Terkigiol. The young resort of Jupiter is much cheaper than Neptune and Olympus, although it is located less than a kilometer from Neptune. There are many disco bars and cafes here, hotels are mostly 2-3 *.

Cap Aurora is a developing resort with a rather modest infrastructure, 2.5 kilometers from Neptune. Near Cap Aurora is the budget Venus with low prices for accommodation and food. At the same time, there is a thermal lake and a clinic, and the resort has acquired a reputation as one of the greenest: local hotels are very sensitive to the design of their territories. The Saturn resort is dominated by 3-4 * hotels, many of which even have their own mini-water parks. At the same time, rest here will be quite inexpensive. Saturn is also suitable for shopping lovers: it is located near the city of Mangalia, known for good shopping.

About half of the hotels on both the northern and southern coasts are 3*. It is often unjustified to choose hotels of a higher level in Romania: at significantly higher prices than in 2-3-star hotels, they will often offer a service that does not reach the level of similar hotels in Bulgaria or Turkey. Private two-star hotels in Romania will provide quite a decent rest, but municipal ones can be unkempt, with the characteristic features of a “scoop”. By the way, Romanian hotels rarely offer accommodation on a breakfast basis: meals are provided only if tourists or a travel agency ask for it. However, in three-star hotels there are restaurants where you can have breakfast or order lunch.

VISIT DRACULA

When vacationing in Romania, it is better to eat in local restaurants and taverns: firstly, it is cheaper, and secondly, the menu will be more varied. By the way, food prices here are 10-15% lower than in Crimea. Romanian cuisine has many original meat dishes, and the ordered portion is enough for two. And the national dish - hominy corn porridge - is worth trying in several establishments, because everywhere it is cooked in different ways. Dairy products are especially good in mountainous regions, but local wines can be purchased everywhere, they are inexpensive and very diverse - the fact is that in all regions there are different soils and microclimate features. By the way, connoisseurs of this drink can go for a tasting in one of the wine-growing regions.

Other popular excursions include getting to know Bucharest, as well as a trip to the mountains. In Transylvania, tourists most often visit the city of Brasov with Dracula's castle. Other attractions in this city, nicknamed the Romanian Salzburg, include one of the narrowest streets in Europe, Nitochka Street, and the country's largest Gothic church.

In the city of Sinai, it is worth visiting the Peles Castle with a beautiful park and an Orthodox monastery, as well as climbing the cable car to Mount Sinai. In addition, it is worth visiting the Romanian evening with national music and dances.

Text: Anna Bodyako

It has a length of only 245 km. If you wish, you can drive along it in a couple of hours, “pushing off” from the Kiliya Canal in the north and stopping in the fishing village of Vama-Veke in the south. And if we flew over this coast at a bird's eye view, we could admire an almost uninterrupted chain of resorts and beaches, which are not inferior in their infrastructure to the best "beach" places in the world. It seems that there are all the attributes of the modern tourism industry for a comfortable holidays in Romania:

  • excellent restaurants and trendy nightclubs;
  • excellent hotels, terraces, bars and cafes;
  • huge water parks, swimming pools and dolphinariums;
  • holiday parks and more.

True, this Romanian honey barrel has its own fly in the ointment: five-star hotels here, of course, there is, but not everywhere. The main hotel base is buildings built in the 70-80s and the service system in them is very different from the all-inclusive standard that is common today. And yet, marine holidays in Romania hundreds of thousands of tourists are chosen annually, for whom the sun, the sea, and active entertainment are the main "core" of the vacation program.

Besides, Black Sea Romania- the universally recognized "health resort of Europe". The British, French and Germans, sick with nervous, pulmonary, gynecological, cardiovascular diseases and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, since the time of Ceausescu began to come en masse to local balneological centers. And in the famous clinic of Anna Aslan, who in the middle of the last century developed the anti-aging drug Gerovital, as if to a spring with living water, people from all over the planet are taking their old age.

Holidays in Romania high-quality and inexpensive, memorable for beautiful views, gentle Black Sea, interesting culture, extensive excursion programs, unusual cuisine and wines.

If you hear the expression "Romanian Riviera", know that we are talking about 245 km of beach Romania, a sandy strip pressed against the Black Sea.

The climate of the Black Sea coast of Romania

Rest on the Black Sea in Romania is a stay in the power of a temperate continental climate. Summers are warm and winters are mild.

The average temperature in mid-summer is +22°C, in winter - about 0°C. During the year, 396 mm of precipitation falls. The swimming season on the Romanian coast begins in the last days of May in the south or from the first week of July in the north. You can swim until the end of September - beginning of October. The sun shines on the sea resorts in Romania about 2300 hours.

As for nature, for tourists accustomed to the lush subtropical vegetation of the southern coast of Crimea or the Caucasian coast of the Black Sea, the semi-steppe-semi-mountainous landscapes of the "Romanian Riviera" at first may seem plain and monotonous. But the Black Sea is just as charming here, there is no less heat and sun, beaches not worse, and the fertile land of Dobruja generously gives grapes, fruits and vegetables. Human intervention compensates for what nature has stinted on: almost all resorts you can find artificial parks, gardens and forest plantations.

Sights of Romania

Holidays in Romania on the Black Sea- a great opportunity to get acquainted with numerous monuments of nature and history:

  • fortresses, mosques, lighthouses, statues, a huge aquarium;
  • caves, ruins of ancient buildings, Lake Techirghiol(Romanian "Dead Sea");
  • an old casino in an openwork rococo style, churches and cathedrals, museums, Byzantine basilicas.

Recovery and treatment in Romania

Balneological resorts Romanian Black Sea are located along the coast, but the most important of them are located in the resorts.
