Buderus radiators. Panel heating radiators - device and features Connecting Buderus radiators

Heating radiators are an extremely important element of any heating system, since they are the ones that heat the surrounding space. Therefore, the choice of these heating devices must be approached responsibly and familiarize yourself with their features and types in advance.

In this article, we will look at the device and technical specifications one of the most common designs - panel radiators.

Features of panel radiators

General information

Basic design feature heating devices of this class is the absence of traditional sections, instead, the front side is made in the form of a solid panel. The latter is made up of two steel sheets who accept necessary form as a result of pressing. In particular, channels for the coolant are stamped in them.

When two stamped plates are welded, a thin panel is formed, the thickness of which is hardly more than one centimeter. The radiator may consist of one or several such panels. Such a design provides many advantages, but at the same time, some disadvantages, which we will consider below.

Compared to traditional or bimetallic radiators heating, the capacity of steel panels is scanty. Thanks to this, in heating system fast circulation of the coolant is carried out, and, as a result, almost instantaneous heating.

Already after 10 - 15 minutes panel heating heats up the room. However, this feature has a downside - the radiators cool down, in case the system is turned off, as quickly as they heat up.

Besides, important feature this design is air convection, however, this only applies to radiators consisting of several panels. This opportunity implemented due to the presence of air channels located between the channels for the coolant.

As a result, the device heats up not only by radiation of thermal energy from the case, but also due to the circulation of thermal air in the room. Thanks to this, the efficiency of the design can reach 75 percent.

However, despite the fact that panels for heating radiators are made of high-quality high-strength steel, they are designed to operate at low pressure in the system (no more than ten atmospheres) and coolant temperatures up to 110 degrees Celsius. For these reasons, they are usually used in private and multi-storey country houses.

Since in centralized systems heating pressure is above ten atmospheres, panel batteries are installed in apartments only in the case of autonomous heating systems.

Note! It is impossible to use panel radiators in a centralized heating system, not only because of its high pressure, but also contaminated coolant. Narrow ducts quickly become clogged and the device fails. Therefore, to work in such conditions, it is better to use bimetallic radiators.

Advantages

There are quite a few advantages for batteries of this type, below are the main ones:

  • Neat, simple enough, but at the same time stylish design. Moreover, modern equipment, which is used in the manufacture of these devices, allows you to produce products in different styles, ranging from classic to minimalism.
  • The ability to adjust the degree of heating of the device, due to the fact that products, as a rule, are equipped with all kinds of electronic or mechanical devices.
  • Increased heat transfer - as mentioned above, the use of the principle of convection can significantly increase the level of efficiency.

  • The price is much lower than other types of batteries. This is due to the fact that steel itself is much lower than copper and aluminum.
  • Profitability - since the devices have a small capacity, much less energy is spent on heating the coolant.
  • Multifunctionality - the device performs the function of both a conventional radiator and a convector.
  • Light weight, making it easy to install batteries yourself.
  • Possibility to choose the most suitable device suitable sizes and required power.

Advice! You can also give the appearance of panels to ordinary sectional batteries, for example, cast iron ones, by installing special panels. Moreover, this can not only make them more attractive, but also more effective. Panels for heating radiators can be made from the most different materials such as wood or metal.

Flaws

With all the advantages of these heating devices, they cannot be called ideal radiators for the following reasons:

  • Susceptibility to water hammer - this is one of the main reasons why panel batteries cannot be used in centralized heating systems.
  • Sensitivity to the level of water acidity - to avoid corrosion steel surface, the pH level of the coolant must be stable and kept in the range of 8.3-9.5.
  • User manual panel batteries prohibits draining water from the system for a long time. Otherwise, the internal steel walls of the structure will come into contact with oxygen, which will lead to corrosion.

For these reasons, it is far from advisable to purchase panel radiators in all cases.

Types of panel radiators

All existing steel panel radiators are divided into several groups.

In particular, according to the connection method, they can be conditionally divided into two types:

  • Bottom Connected Devices - Both battery connections are at the bottom. Such a connection is convenient in cases where they pass through the floor. True, it should be borne in mind that in this case the heat loss coefficient is quite large.
  • With lateral connection - in this case, the inlet pipe is located on top, and the outlet pipe is located below. This ensures uniform heating of the heating device. True, if the structure has many sections, then in this case significant heat losses will occur.

As mentioned above, the radiators in question may differ in the number of panels. On this basis, they are classified into the following types:

Advice! Knowing the types of radiators, it will not be difficult to correctly select heating devices, in accordance with the area of the heated room.

Also, the devices differ in size, which can be as follows:

  • Width - 40 - 300 cm;
  • Height - 30 - 90 cm.

Therefore, before purchasing devices, it is necessary that they depend on the area of the room and the power of the system.

Manufacturers of panel steel batteries

As you know, the quality of batteries depends not only on the type of design, but also on the manufacturer. Therefore, you should not give preference to the cheapest products from little-known manufacturers. An insignificant benefit can lead to the fact that soon you will have to change radiators with your own hands.

  • Buderus (Germany);
  • Thermoplus (Italy);
  • Lideya (Russia);
  • Kermi (Germany), etc.

In addition, products should be purchased in large construction stores to avoid counterfeiting and to be sure that the seller fulfills the warranty obligations.

Conclusion

Panel steel radiators have a number of advantages over analogues, however, it should be borne in mind that their use is limited by some technical specifications. If the conditions in your heating system meet the requirements of these devices, then they will be an excellent choice.

Buderus Logatrend VK-profil, bottom connection radiators

Radiators Buderus VK-profil, connected to the heating system from below, have a built-in thermal valve, which is included in the delivery.

Radiators with bottom connection Logatrend VK-profil are divided into five main types according to depth (the distance between the front and back wall radiator): type 10 (depth - 65 mm), type 11 (depth - 65 mm), type 21 (66 mm), type 22 (100 mm), type 33 (depth - 155 mm).

For each of these types, the height of the device can be - 300 mm, 400, 500, 600 and 900 mm. Length - 400 mm, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000 mm, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2300, 2600 and 3000 mm.

As standard, radiators are supplied painted in White color(RAL 9016).

All types of Logatrend radiators with bottom connection do not have welded mounting brackets, so they can be mounted on either side. In this case, the bottom connection node will be either on the right or on the left. The radiator has a built-in thermal valve, a sealed plug and a built-in air outlet plug (Mayevsky tap). The bottom connection has center distance- 50 mm. The supply line is connected to the branch pipe located closer to the center of the device, the return line to the extreme branch pipe. The built-in thermal valve is located at the top on the same side where the bottom connection to heating.

Logatrend VK-profil radiators can be mounted on the wall or on the floor using special mounting brackets. A set of fasteners is not included in the price of the Logatrend radiator and must be purchased separately.

Radiators are packed in shrink film, have protective corners to prevent damage during transportation, storage or installation. To prevent contamination of the radiator during construction and finishing works, you can leave the film on the operating radiator, but until the temperature in the heating system exceeds 60°C.

  • We decided to demonstrate how to properly install a heating radiator in a room. To hang a radiator, you need to have a wall at the place where the radiator is attached, “brought to zero”. For finishing(painting or pasting behind the wallpaper radiator) the radiator can be removed, it is important that the radiator mounts remain in place and are not transferred. Installation is carried out at a slight inclination to avoid air accumulation.

    illustrative example heating radiator installation

    For example, we chose a steel panel radiator from Buderus, Germany. This model has a bottom connection and a built-in thermostatic valve. The “Buderus” radiator has a very high-quality packaging made of durable plastic, protective corners are put on the corners of the radiator ( of blue color).

    We connect pipes

    Now you can connect pipes from the manifold to the radiator. But we propose to first install a certain unit, the so-called "multiflex", which has shut-off inserts, fittings for adjusting and draining the coolant, can interchange the direct line with the return line (depending on the model).

    Also, the multiflex can be straight (pipes from the floor) and angular (pipes come from the wall). This material shows a direct multiflex, but in the work we often set corner options.

    Installation of fasteners

    Attachment is screwed on. Moreover, in standard situations, the mount is fixed using one self-tapping screw that comes with the mount.

    It should be noted that there are several models of mounts for Buderus radiators, which are ordered separately depending on the selected radiator model and the type of surface on which it is supposed to be installed.

    Some models of "Buderus" radiators have a feature: they are double-sided. That is, they can be hung with a multiflex to the right, or to the left. It just needs to be removed top cover and throw the "tongues" on the opposite side.

    To provide comfortable conditions Buderus offers logatrend steel panel radiators with bottom Logatrend VK-Profi or side Logatrend V-Profi connection.

    • High quality workmanship: In the production of Buderus radiators, roller resistance high-frequency welding is used. Crimping with nominal pressure 10 bar;
    • Energy Efficient: Save up to 25% energy thanks to a dedicated built-in thermostatic valve Danfoss (exclusively developed for BOSCH THERMOTECHNIK). Only for radiators VK-Profi with bottom connection.
    • Hygienic design and safety edges: radiators can be mounted in medical and childcare facilities. Radiators Buderus Logatrend types 10, 20 and 30 can be used in rooms with increased requirements for cleanliness, as there are no convection plates and removable grilles, which makes it very easy to disinfect the surface of the radiator.
    • A wide range allows you to choose the required thermal power radiators, corresponding to the temperature of the coolant, including quite low (50-60 ° C)

    simple and quick installation heating radiators Logatrend Profil

    • Buderus heating radiators can be installed on either side, as there are no slats that define the back side of the radiator
    • Sliding brackets allow you to move the radiator fixed on the wall to the right or left by 3-5 centimeters, which makes it easier to center the radiator on the wall

    The uniform heat transfer of the front side of the Buderus steel radiator is shown in the thermal photograph on the left. And on the right is a regular flat heater with glued front panel.

    The main feature of Buderus Logatrend radiators- This is a technology for welding radiator panels. Whereas most manufacturers use spot welding, BUDERUS uses roller welding, i.e. the panels are welded together in continuous lines rather than individual points. This technology is somewhat more expensive, but it allows you to increase the reliability of the radiator.

    Because the radiator can be hung on either side to the wall, then when planning, you can choose the side on which it will be thermostatic head and piping to the radiator.

    Buderus provides a full warranty for radiators for 5 years (both for the production and operation cycle) subject to the requirements of SNiP 3.05.01-85. Service life of radiators is 25 years.

    Steel panel radiators - the best choice for a private house

    Like all products of the company, Logatrend differ high quality, reliability and very reasonable price. It is important to note that the production steel radiators is carried out not according to the technology of spot joints, but a fundamentally different method is used - high-frequency roller resistance welding. The main difference between these two technologies used in the production of radiators is that in the first case, a connection is obtained that does not have sufficient strength, since it is made in several places at a certain interval, and in the second case the result is different, and this is a continuous and reliable seam.

    The reliability and durability of the radiators is ensured by powder coating in an electrostatic field and drying in a chamber at a temperature of 180 ° C. An obligatory stage of production is the preliminary application of a protective primer layer by electrophoresis. The manufacturer checks the quality of his products during pressure testing, which is carried out at the factory at a pressure of 13 atm.

    Buderus Logatrend steel panel radiators can be installed both in residential and public, industrial and other buildings, but it must be borne in mind that they are designed for operation in closed systems heating, operating pressure in which does not exceed 10 atm., and the temperature does not exceed 120 C. Compliance with these simple conditions operation guarantees a fairly long service life of heating devices for 25 years or more. It is also important to note the high efficiency of radiators, which, with minimal coolant consumption, provide high heat transfer.

    The special BMSplus system (Buderus-Montage-System) also deserves attention, for a quick. Sliding brackets are specially designed for it, providing, if necessary, adjusting the position of an already fixed radiator by a few centimeters to the left or right. In addition, the use of BMSplus mounting technology allows installation work without removing the radiator from the packaging, which reliably protects it from contamination or damage during subsequent construction and repair work.
