Manual for microwave oven LG MS2342A, MS2352B, MS2352G, MS2352T, MS2352U: RT service center. Testing equipment: microwave oven with grill Egg bread

From the editor. Buying kitchen appliances is a delicate matter. Even if you had enough money to buy up the entire assortment existing in the store, another problem would arise: where to store all this wealth and what to do with it later? Often, toasters, food processors, blenders and coffee makers are actively used in everyday life only for the first couple of months, and then they are forgotten in the closet. We decided to correct this misunderstanding and launched a series of materials “Testing appliances/utensils”. We will not tell you about the variety of devices (sales consultants also do a good job of this), we will try, and then we will tell you how useful they are, how to use them and what miracles they are capable of. And you yourself decide whether you can live without these miracles.

Tsample tested: microwave oven with grill LG MH-6342BMS (23 l)(price: 5390 rubles)

Microwave ovens are in almost every family - perhaps only ardent supporters of a healthy lifestyle indicatively refuse the presence of such achievements of science and technology in their home. By the way, it is for such cautious users that the instructions that come with the device describe the essence of microwaves and emphasize safety. “Your microwave oven is one of the safest pieces of equipment. As soon as the door is opened, the oven will automatically stop producing microwaves. Microwave energy is completely converted into heat when it enters the food, leaving no “residual” energy in the food that could have a harmful effect on your health.”

The first impression of the stove is that it is very unusual. Its design was developed by the Italian architect Alessandro Mendini. By the way, despite the drawing, the microwave still looks very restrained and will easily fit into any interior, but at the same time it will be “not like everyone else”.

The inner coating of the oven is also special - the technologists called it Easy Clean, and this is true. Later, during testing, I was convinced of this - cleansing is really easy. By the way, the company gives a 10-year warranty on this coating.

Environmentalists will also appreciate the Eco on button, one press of which completely disconnects the appliance from the mains - as if the plug were pulled out of the socket. The same happens when the appliance is left idle for 5 minutes - even if the door has been opened.

A whole set of automatic cooking programs is considered to be a feature of the device: the LG microwave oven has the functions “Russian chef”, “French chef”, “Italian chef”, “Oriental chef”. For example, a “Russian chef” knows how to cook borsch, meat hodgepodge, in uniform, meat in pots, dumplings, steamed salmon steak, trout with vegetables and buckwheat porridge. And "Italian" - cream soup with seafood, Piedmontese soup, eggplant with tomato and cheese, peppers stuffed with tuna and bread, spaghetti bolognese, risotto and apple chips.

The instruction book has a detailed description of how to cook a dish for each of the programs. However, I still didn’t cook soups in the microwave - in my opinion, there is a saucepan and a stove for this. But to try to bake something from the main dishes, it became interesting. However, I don’t like to cook strictly according to the instructions - and what if today I don’t want jacket potatoes, but, say,? In general, I evaluated the contents of the refrigerator and tried to cook my menu in a test instance.

Pizza

Since the oven is with a grill, I decided to use the Italian program and cook. However, since it was in the office kitchen, the girls and I bought frozen pizza. Not at all embarrassed by the name of the “fresh pizza” program, we turned on the device and returned after 17 minutes indicated on the scoreboard.

On practice. To be honest, I didn’t expect the pizza to brown: the instructions said that the quartz grill baked dishes better than the heating element, but I didn’t believe that it was that much. Especially considering the fact that the pizza was cooked on a spinning glass tray, and the distance to the grill was great. As a result, the pizza not only baked perfectly, but also browned. We ate with great pleasure.

Chicken wings

I cook this “signature” dish in every more or less suitable tested device. The microwave is no exception. At home, I always bake the wings in the oven on the grill, they turn out to be fried and crispy. I did not expect to get the same effect in the microwave. There were no wings on any of the menus, the most related that I found was the dish "chicken legs with prunes" in the program "French Chef".

On practice. A microwave oven is not an oven. The wings turned out a little "boiled". And only when I added 5 minutes twice at the end of the set cooking time, each time stirring the wings in a bowl, did they become ruddy, “roasted” and already similar to the truth.

Potatoes with mushrooms

I'm only a gourmet in appearance, but in fact I like simple and satisfying food. Meat, for example, or the same potatoes. In general, when one day I was “impatient” and wanted potatoes with mushrooms, I decided to bake it in the microwave. Since I would cook such a dish in the oven in a pot, I chose “meat in a pot” from all the modes (the “Russian Chef” program). Before starting cooking, I also fried the mushrooms in a pan - that is, I did exactly the same as if I were cooking in the oven. But the potatoes were just peeled and cut into cubes.

On practice. When I started the program, the timer showed only 6 minutes. I even doubted whether the fish would have time to cook in such an amount of time. However, the trick was not in this. From the very first minutes, the fish began to “crack” in the oven and “spit”. She seemed to be torn apart. Later I noticed that the instructions also said to cover it with parchment paper on top - perhaps that was the case. What is most surprising, in 6 minutes the fish was still baked, and it turned out to be quite easy to wash the stove - thanks to the easy-to-clean inner coating.

Summary

  • This device is more suitable for those who like to cook according to recipes that are already ready and invented for him. This is a guarantee of perfect results. If you like experimenting like me, be prepared for the fact that it will take some time to get used to the stove and understand which mode is best for what.
  • The device can always be used as a classic microwave oven: here you can change the power, defrost and simply heat up dishes. By the way, every morning in the microwave I cooked oatmeal. To do this, I filled the cereal with milk, chose a power of 480 and turned on the oven for exactly 2.5 minutes.
  • Of the minor drawbacks: the stove door is not fixed and strives to close when you pull a dish out of it. Among the additional advantages: thanks to i-wave technology, microwaves in the oven propagate in a spiral, due to which the dish warms up evenly - that is, along the edges, and not just in the center.

Cautions

Precautions to avoid possible overexposure to microwave energy

Thanks to interlocking contacts built into the oven door mechanism, you cannot turn on the oven with the door open. These interlock contacts ensure that any cooking mode is automatically turned off when the door is opened, because if you do not do this in the case of a microwave oven, you may be exposed to harmful microwave energy.
It is important not to try to do anything with the blocking contacts.
Do not insert any objects between the oven door and the front panel and do not allow food residues or residues of cleaning agents to accumulate on the sealing surfaces.

Do not use a damaged oven.
It is particularly important that the oven door closes securely and that there is no damage to: (1) door (bent), (2) hinges and latches (broken or loose), (3) door seals and sealing surfaces.
The oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone other than a qualified microwave technician.

Warning
Please always check that you have set the cooking time correctly, as cooking too long may cause food to ignite and subsequently damage the oven.

When heating liquids such as soups, sauces and drinks in your microwave oven, the liquid may overheat above the boiling point without visible vapor bubbles. This can lead to unexpected boiling of the superheated liquid. To avoid this possibility, the following measures must be taken:

1. Avoid using cylindrical vessels with a narrow neck.
2. Do not overheat liquid.
3. Stir the liquid before placing the vessel in the oven and then stir it again after half the preheat time has elapsed.
4. After heating is complete, let the jar stand in the oven for a while, then gently stir the liquid again or shake the jar and check the temperature of the liquid before using it to avoid burns (especially bottles and jars of baby food).

Warning
Always let food stand after cooking with microwave energy and check
food temperature before eating. This applies in particular to the contents of bottles and jars of baby food.

How does a microwave oven work

Microwaves are a form of energy similar to the electromagnetic waves used in radio and television broadcasts and ordinary daylight.
Normally, electromagnetic waves propagate outward through the atmosphere and disappear into space without a trace. However, microwave ovens have a magnetron which is designed in such a way that the energy contained in microwaves can be used. The electricity conducted to the magnetron is used to generate microwave energy. Microwaves enter the cooking area through openings inside the oven. At the bottom of the oven is a rotating turntable or tray. Microwaves cannot penetrate the metal walls of the oven, but they can penetrate materials such as glass, porcelain, and paper, materials that are used to make microwave-safe cookware.
Microwaves do not heat the dishes, however, the dishes are heated by the heat generated in the food.

VERY SAFE DEVICE

Your microwave oven is one of the safest pieces of equipment. As soon as the door is opened, the oven automatically stops producing microwaves. Microwave energy is completely converted into heat when it enters the food, leaving no “residual” energy in the food that could have a harmful effect on your health.

Unpacking and installing the oven

By following the basic instructions on the following two pages, you can quickly set up your oven and check its operation. Please pay particular attention to the instructions for the installation location of the oven. When unpacking the oven, make sure that you have removed all accessories and packing materials supplied with it. Make sure your oven was not damaged in transit.

1. Unpack your oven and place it on a flat, level surface.

2. Place the oven on a flat, level surface at the location of your choice, at least 85 cm from the floor, but leave a gap of at least 30 cm above and 10 cm behind the oven for adequate ventilation. To prevent accidental tipping of the oven onto the floor, make sure that the front edge of the door is at least 8 cm deep from the edge of the surface on which the oven is placed.
Ventilation openings are located on top or on the side walls of the oven. Blocking these openings may damage the oven.

THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR COMMERCIAL COOKING

Important Safety Instructions

WARNING
Please always check that you have set the cooking time correctly, as cooking too long may cause the food to FIRE and DAMAGE THE OVEN.

Please read carefully and keep for future reference.
1. Do not attempt to adjust or repair the door, control panel, interlocks, or any other part of the oven yourself. It is dangerous to carry out maintenance or repair operations on the oven that involve the removal of any shrouds and covers that provide protection from microwave energy. Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified microwave repair technician.
2. Do not turn on the oven when it is empty. When the oven is not in use, it is recommended to put a glass of water in it. If you accidentally turn on the oven, the water will safely absorb all the microwave energy.
3. Do not microwave dry clothes that can char or burn if you heat them for too long.
4. Do not cook food wrapped in paper towels, unless the cookbook specifically recommends that you do so.
5. Do not use newspapers instead of paper towels when preparing food.
6. Do not use wooden utensils. It can overheat and char. Do not use ceramic cookware with metallic finishes (such as gold or silver). Always remove twisted wires that tie food bags. Metal objects can cause an electrical arc that can cause serious damage to the oven.
7. Do not turn on the oven with a kitchen towel, paper towel or other obstruction between the oven door and front ends as this may cause microwave energy to leak out.
8. Do not use recycled paper, as it may contain impurities that may cause sparks and/or fire when cooked.
9. Do not wash the turntable in water immediately after cooking. It may break or crack.
10. Less time is required to cook or reheat small amounts of food. If you program a regular time, food may overheat and burn.
11. To prevent accidental tipping of the oven onto the floor, make sure that the front edge of the door is at least 8 cm deep from the edge of the surface on which the oven is placed.
12. Pierce the skins of potatoes, apples and other similar fruits and vegetables with a fork before cooking.
13. Do not cook in-shell eggs in the oven. Pressure will build up inside the egg and it will explode.
14. Do not attempt to deep-fry food in your oven.
15. Before cooking or defrosting food, remove the plastic wrapping from the food. However, please note that in some cases food must be covered with plastic wrap when cooking or reheating.
16. If the oven door or door seals are defective, the oven must not be used until it has been repaired by a specialist.
17. If you notice smoke, do not open the oven door, but turn it off or unplug the oven's power cord from the socket so that the flame goes out without air being drawn in.
18. When cooking or reheating in disposable plastic, paper or other combustible containers, do not leave the oven unattended, but look inside often to make sure that nothing is happening to the dishes.
19. Allow children to use the oven without supervision only after you have taught them so that the child knows how to use the oven safely and understands the dangers of misuse.
20. Liquids or other products should not be heated in sealed containers as they may explode when heated.

The service life of this product is 7 years from the date of transfer of the product to the consumer.

Microwave utensils

Never use metal utensils or utensils with metal trim in your microwave oven.
Microwaves cannot pass through metal. They will be reflected from any metal object placed in the furnace and will cause an electric arc, which is similar in origin to lightning.
Most heat-resistant non-metal cookware is microwave safe. However, some dishes may contain materials that make them unsuitable for microwave use. If you are in doubt about the suitability of a particular dish, there is an easy way to determine if the dish is microwave safe.
Put the dish you are in doubt in the microwave next to a glass of water. Microwave on HIGH power for 1 minute. If the water is hot and the utensil being tested remains cold to the touch, it is safe to use in the microwave. However, if the water temperature does not change and the dish becomes warm, it means that it is absorbing microwaves and is not safe to use in the microwave. Your kitchen probably already has a lot of utensils that can be used for microwave cooking. Just read the list below.

Dinner plates
Many types of tableware are microwave safe. If in doubt, consult the cookware manufacturer's documentation or carry out a microwavable test.

Glassware
Heat resistant glassware is microwave safe. This also applies to all brands of tempered glass cookware. However, do not use fragile glassware such as goblets or wine glasses, as they may break when the food is heated.

Plastic containers for food storage
They can be used to quickly heat food. However, they should not be used for long periods of time as hot food will eventually warp or melt them.

Paper
Paper plates and containers are convenient and safe to use in the microwave, provided the cooking time is short and the food is low in fat and moisture. Paper towels are also very handy for wrapping food and lining baking trays in which fatty foods such as bacon are cooked. Generally try to avoid colored paper as the dye can transfer to food. Some paper products made from recycled materials may contain impurities that can cause electrical arcing or fire.

Plastic bags for cooking
They are safe to use in the microwave provided they are specifically designed for cooking. However, be sure to make a cut on the bag so that the steam can escape from the bag. Never use regular plastic bags to cook food in your microwave as they will melt and tear.

Microwave Plastic Cookware
Microwave cookware is available in various shapes and sizes. For the most part, you can probably use the utensils you already have in your kitchen rather than buying new ones.

Faience, earthenware and ceramics
Vessels made from these materials are usually fine for use in a microwave oven, but to be completely sure, they should be tested in the manner described above.

WARNING
Some utensils with a high lead or iron content are not suitable for use in a microwave oven. To be sure that the utensil is suitable for use in a microwave oven, you must test it.

Food Characteristics and Microwave Cooking

Watch the cooking process
The recipes in the cookbook have been carefully crafted, but your success in cooking with them depends on how closely you observe the cooking process. Always supervise food as it is being prepared. Your oven has a built-in light that automatically lights up when food is cooking, so you can look inside and check how it's cooking. Instructions given in recipes for when to lift, stir, etc. should be considered the bare minimum. If you feel like your food is cooking unevenly, just take action that you think will improve the situation.

Factors affecting cooking time
Cooking time depends on many factors. The temperature of the ingredients used in the recipe greatly affects the cooking time. For example, a cake made with butter, milk, and eggs fresh out of the refrigerator will take significantly longer to bake than a cake made with the same ingredients but at room temperature. All the recipes in this manual have cooking time ranges. In general, you will find that if you cook a dish within the minimum time given in a recipe, it will usually not be done all the way through, and sometimes you may even have to exceed the maximum time given to cook the dish to your liking. The basic principle adopted in this cookbook is to be conservative when specifying cooking times. After all, if the food is burnt, then it can no longer be fixed. Some recipes, especially those for breads, pies and custards, recommend taking the dish out of the oven slightly undercooked. It's not a mistake. If the food is allowed to stand, especially when covered, it continues to cook even after being removed from the oven, as the heat absorbed by the outer layers of the food gradually penetrates inside. If food is left in the oven until it is fully cooked, the outer layers will dry out or even burn. You will gradually become more and more adept at determining the cooking time and settling of various dishes.

Product Density
Light, porous foods such as cake or bread cook faster than heavy, dense foods such as roast beef or stew. When cooking porous foods, you must take care that their outer edges do not become too dry and brittle.

food height
The top of tall foods, particularly roast beef, will cook faster than the bottom. As a result, a dish that has a large height is recommended to be turned over during cooking, sometimes several times.

Number of products
The number of microwaves in your microwave oven remains the same regardless of the amount of food being cooked. Therefore, the more food you place in the microwave, the longer it will take to cook. When preparing a dish that is half the weight of the recipe, be sure to reduce the cooking time indicated in the recipe by at least one third.

Products shape
Microwaves penetrate food only to a depth of about 2 cm; the inside of a thick dish is cooked by transferring the heat generated from the outside to the inside. Only the outer layers of any dish are cooked by microwave energy, the rest of the dish is cooked by conduction. It follows that the worst possible shape of a dish when cooked in a microwave oven is a thick square. The corners will be ready for a long time, and the center will not even heat up yet. Round, thin and ring-shaped dishes are most successful in the microwave oven.

covering
The lid traps heat and steam, so food cooks faster. To cover, use a lid or a form-fitting film, lifting one of its corners so that the film is not torn by steam pressure.

Browning
Meat and poultry that are cooked for 15 minutes or longer will lightly brown with their own fat. For shorter cooking times, a browning sauce such as Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce or barbecue sauce can be applied to achieve an appetizing color. Since relatively small amounts of browning sauce are added to dishes, the original aroma of the dishes remains unchanged.

Covering with greaseproof paper
The greaseproof paper effectively prevents splattering and helps the food retain some of the heat. But, since it covers the food less tightly than a lid or wrap, it allows the food to dry out slightly.

Placement and spacing
Single items such as baked potatoes, muffins, and snacks will heat more evenly if they are placed in the microwave at equal distances from each other, preferably in a circle. Never stack food on top of each other.

Mixing
Stirring is one of the most important steps in microwave cooking. In conventional cooking, dishes are stirred to mix the ingredients. However, when cooking with microwaves, food is stirred to spread and redistribute the heat. Always stir food from the edges towards the center as the edges heat up first.

flipping
Large, tall dishes, such as meat in large pieces and whole chicken, must be turned over so that the top and bottom cook evenly. It is also recommended to turn chicken pieces and chops.

Placing thicker portions outside
Since microwaves are "attracted" to the outer parts of food, it is wise to place thicker portions of meat, poultry or fish closer to the edges of the dish in which they are cooked. In this way, the thicker portions will receive more microwave energy and the food will be cooked more evenly.

Shielding
To prevent overcooking the corners and edges of square or rectangular dishes, they are sometimes covered with pieces of aluminum foil that block the microwaves. Never use too much foil and make sure the foil stays securely on the dish, otherwise an electric arc may occur.

lifting
Thick and dense dishes may be raised to allow microwaves to be absorbed by the bottom and center of the dish.

piercing
Foods encased in shells, skins, or membranes can explode in the oven if you do not pierce them before cooking. These foods include egg whites and yolks, shellfish and oysters, and whole vegetables and fruits.

Readiness check
Food cooks so quickly in a microwave oven that you need to check it frequently. Some dishes are left in the oven until they are fully cooked, but most dishes, including meat and poultry dishes, are taken out of the oven slightly undercooked and allowed to finish cooking during the settling time. During settling, the internal temperature of the food rises by 30 C to 80 C.

Settling time
Food is often allowed to stand for 3 to 10 minutes after being removed from the microwave. Usually, food is covered while standing to keep warm, except when it needs to dry out on the outside (for example, some pies and biscuits). The sludge allows the food to be cooked through and also allows the bouquet of its flavors to blend and strengthen.

Cleaning your stove

1. Keep the interior of the oven clean
Food droplets or spilled liquids stick to the oven walls and get caught between the seals and the door surface. It is best to remove them immediately with a damp cloth. Food crumbs and drops will absorb microwave energy and increase cooking time. Use a damp cloth to remove any crumbs and food debris from between the door and the sealing surfaces of the oven. These areas must be cleaned especially carefully to ensure that the door closes securely. Wipe off any drips of grease from the interior surfaces with a soapy cloth, then rinse off the soap with the cloth and wipe dry. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners. The glass tray can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher.

2. Keep the outer surfaces of the oven clean
Clean the exterior surfaces using mild soap and warm water, then rinse off the soap and dry the case with a soft cloth or paper towel. To prevent damage to the interior of the oven, do not allow water to seep into the vents. To clean the control panel, open the door to prevent accidental operation of the oven and wipe the panel with a damp cloth, then dry it immediately with a soft cloth. After cleaning, press the button Stop/Reset.

3. If steam condenses inside or outside the oven around the door, wipe the panels with a soft cloth. This may occur when the microwave oven is operated in a high humidity environment and does not in any way indicate a malfunction of the oven.
4. The door and door seals must be kept clean. Use only a soft cloth and soapy warm water to clean, then rinse off the soap and dry thoroughly.
DO NOT USE ABRASIVE MATERIALS SUCH AS CLEANING POWDERS, METAL SCOOP OR PLASTIC PADS.
Metal surfaces will be easier to keep clean by wiping them frequently with a damp cloth.

Answers to the most frequently asked questions

Q. Why is the oven chamber light not on?
ABOUT. There may be several reasons for this: The light bulb in the oven has burned out. The oven door is not closed.

Q. Does the viewing window in the oven door allow microwave energy to pass through?
ABOUT. No. The openings in the screen covering the window are made large enough to allow light to pass through, but prevent microwave energy from passing through.

Q. Why does a beep sound when I press a button on the control panel?
ABOUT. An audible signal indicates that your control signal has been entered into the oven's memory.

Q. Will the microwave oven be damaged if it is turned on when it is empty?
ABOUT. Yes. Never turn on the oven when it is empty or without the glass tray in it.

Q. Why do eggs sometimes "explode"?
ABOUT. When you bake, fry, or poach eggs, the yolk can “explode” due to steam building up inside the yolk membrane. To avoid this, simply pierce the yolk before cooking the egg. Never cook eggs in shell.

Q. Why is it recommended to let food sit after it has finished cooking time in the oven?
ABOUT. After cooking with microwaves has ended, it continues to cook during the "rest". This settling time allows food to reach readiness throughout its volume. The duration of the settling time depends on the density of the food.

Q. Can popcorn be cooked in the microwave?
ABOUT. Yes, using one of the two methods described below.
1. With popcorn cookware designed specifically for
microwave oven.
2. Using commercially available packaged popcorn intended for
microwave oven. At the same time, the cooking time and power level that you need are indicated on the packaging.
use.

FOLLOW THE PRODUCT COOKING INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY THE PRODUCT MANUFACTURER EXACTLY. DO NOT LEAVE OVEN UNATTENDED WHILE COOKING POPLED CORN. IF THE CORN DOES NOT PUT WITHIN THE TIME SPECIFIED ON THE PACKAGING, STOP COOKING. CONTINUED COOKING MAY FIRE THE CORN.
WARNING
NEVER USE WRAP PAPER BAG FOR COOKING POP CORN. NEVER ATTEMPT TO RE-COOK UNBREAKED BEANS.

Q. Why doesn't my oven always cook as fast as the microwave cookbook says?
ABOUT. Consult your cookbook again to check that you followed all the instructions exactly and to find out what causes changes in cooking time. Cooking times and power levels listed in the cookbook are suggested to help prevent overcooking and burning food, a problem most commonly experienced during the microwave cooking process. Variations in the size, shape, weight, and thickness of food can result in longer cooking times. As with a conventional stove, use your own common sense and experience to supplement the instructions in the cookbook to ensure proper cooking.

MODEL OVERVIEW:

Good French bread;
Good rye bread;
Test preparation;
Cooking jam;
Excellent cake;
You can not visit the store for a long time

I really like the bread maker and we don’t buy store-bought bread anymore.
We bought a measuring container to measure water with it, and measure the flour with our native container (so as not to wipe after water).
At first, the ingredients were poured accurately, because the bread turned out to be of unstable quality. Then, over time, experience came, and we do this:
- we measure the purchased container of water according to the recipe book of the recipe for ordinary bread. We take water from a drinking flask, at room temperature. Warm up for 15 seconds in the microwave. Pour into a bucket.
If the butter is from the refrigerator, then we throw it into the water that we measured out and heat it together with the water.
If the oil is not very cold, then we simply cut it off by eye and throw a piece into the previously poured water into a bucket.
We sprinkle salt. A little more than in the recipe somewhere by 20-25%. We get so much more.
We pour sugar, somewhere 25% less than according to the recipe.
Powdered milk - according to the recipe, but by eye. those. plus or minus doesn't matter.
The most important is yeast. We tried all sorts of different ones - you have to adapt to each brand for several rolls. and the quality is not always stable. The best option we have is Pakmaya yeast! The best of the best! Always predictable results, always consistently high quality.
Pakmaevsky yeast rash is about 15% less than according to the recipe.
Everything is a bucket in a bread machine. select the mode. crust color, press start and go about our business for 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Somewhere 20 minutes before the end of the program, the final stage takes place, which, in principle, can be skipped. The bread machine will squeak in 20 minutes - you can wait for the end, or you can pull it out and put it to cool.
It's not as hard to make bread as it seems. Loading the ingredients takes about two minutes.
I don’t wash the bucket after bread - there is only one flour and everything is dry.

Programs: 9 - basic, special, quick, dough, cake, jam.

The "Russian Chef" mode is designed for baking rye, pumpkin, honey-mustard, sour cream bread, Easter cake, and other types of bread according to your recipes. A special mode is designed for rich pastries containing a lot of sugar, fat, including cheese and eggs. For the preparation of white bread, the main mode is used. The difference between the programs is in the intensity of kneading.

The Quick Bread program lasts about 2 hours.

The "Dough" mode is mainly used for making yeast dough, the process takes a little over an hour. But the collection contains recipes for yeast-free pizza and dumpling dough.

Loaf: 500, 700 g.

Test result: for baking a white loaf, we chose a recipe for table bread with butter and milk powder. It turned out very homemade, unusual bread with a delicate crumb and a crumbly crispy crust.

We prepared Easter cake according to the manufacturer's recipe, adding ingredients in two stages. The first bookmark was kneaded for about 15 minutes, then, on a signal, we brought in the second batch of products. The cake came out fluffy, ruddy and very tasty.

The honey-mustard bread was also a success: it turned out to be a beautiful loaf with a pleasant complex touch of taste.

SUMMARY:

Advantages: very tasty bread. Great dough. Gorgeous cupcakes. Good design. Quality cookbook included. Measuring spoon and measuring container included. It works very quietly, so far there have been no problems with operation.

Flaws: almost after the first use, the form began to leak. As for the jam function, its disadvantages are that the volume is not large - about half a liter of the resulting jam. The "mixer" mechanism is not reliable.

Overall rating: very convenient to have your own bread at home. The whole family loves rye and onion very much. It’s a pity that the form leaked, but we began to fill in the liquid at the end of laying the products, and for two years now we have been using the bread machine every day.

The model is good enough. Judge for yourself. After buying a bread maker in February 2010, we simply stopped buying bread in the store. Very well obtained: French, rye bread, as well as Easter cake. Do not buy such a cake in the store! The main drawback of the bread maker is the “mixer” mechanism. A year later, I had to completely change the bucket. The reason is the wear of the agitator mechanism. Having extensive operating experience and a little understanding of technology, I will give the whole cause-and-effect picture and the main conclusion.
The mechanism itself consists of three main parts: a bearing, an axle, an oil seal. The axis has an emphasis in the lower part on a metal bearing in the upper part on the stuffing box (reinforced rubber). What is going on. Over time, water gets on the bearing and causes it to jam. Under such conditions, the rotation of the axis leads to two consequences. First, the axis itself is bent. Secondly, it leads to the destruction of the stuffing box. Therefore, changing the seal is pointless.
Conclusion. For successful intensive operation of the bread machine, it is necessary to lubricate the rotation mechanism regularly (at least once a week). To do this, wash the bucket. After it dries, take some machine oil, such as sewing machine oil, and lubricate the bearing. Successful and durable operation.

This multifunctional bread maker is perfect for baking bread (up to 900 grams), cakes, kneading dough, making dough. The device has all the functions traditional for the model range of the LG brand, as well as the original “Russian Chef” program.

The bread machine LG HB-205CJ has similar characteristics with the model LG HB-155CJ. The fundamental difference is that the 155CJ is smaller and allows you to bake bread with a maximum weight of 680 grams. And with the 205CJ, baking weighing up to 900 grams is possible, making it suitable for a large family.

The bread machine perfectly copes with all types of common pastries. She is especially good at classic wheat bread. With rye bread, the situation is somewhat worse, but if you fill your hand, you can bake it too.

The LG HB 205 CJ bread maker showed itself perfectly in the dough batch. It is equally good at preparing classic yeast dough, as well as dough for pizza and dumplings. All of these recipes are contained in the recipe book that comes with the package. By the way, the book is quite roomy and contains a lot of both common and original recipes.

Characteristics of the bread machine LG HB-205CJ

The standard 550 W power for LG models allows you to bake bread with a maximum weight of 900 grams. At the same time, the model supports the ability to specify the mass of baking. In addition, there is a function to adjust the color of the crust, which can be light, medium or dark. The baking form is a loaf, which also applies to all models of this brand.

The model is equipped with a timer that allows you to perform a delayed start. It can be assigned from one to thirteen hours. The keep warm function will keep freshly baked bread hot for up to three hours. All this makes the stove simply an indispensable device for people with an intense rhythm of life.

The LG HB-205CJ bread maker supports 9 baking programs. We propose to consider their features in more detail.

The “Dough kneading” program allows you to prepare the dough without subsequent baking. The function is very convenient if you need to prepare dough for pizza, pies, dumplings. It is enough just to lay the necessary products in the container, and in an hour it will be possible to start preparing the main dish.

The Fast Bake program will come in handy if there is very little time left for baking homemade bread. As part of this program, the device will cope with this task in just two hours. Yes, the bread will turn out to be smaller in mass and will not have such a soft crumb. But it will definitely taste better than store-bought bread.

The “Wholemeal Bread” program is not supported by all models of LG ovens, but this model has it. Suitable for people who care about their health. After all, wholemeal bread contains a lot of vitamins and minerals, so necessary for the body.

The “Jam” program will forever relieve you of the need to stand idle at the stove for cooking this delicacy. It is enough just to pour the required amount of sugar into the bread machine, lay berries or chopped fruits, and the device will do the rest on its own.

The “French Baguette” program was specially developed by LG engineers for lovers of a loaf with a crispy crust and an airy crumb. However, if you believe the reviews, the LG HB-205CJ bread maker does not cope with this task in the best way. Although, perhaps, the people who left negative reviews simply did not understand the operation of the device.

The “Gluten Free Baking” program is an original mode that is supported by a very small number of bread machines. This program allows you to make very healthy breads using corn, buckwheat or rice flour.

The Keks program speaks for itself. Moreover, the user is free to bake cupcakes according to a variety of recipes. Including, it can be vanilla, nut, lemon and any other types of cupcakes.

The Rye Bread program is designed for baking bread from rye flour. Judging by the reviews, working on this program, the device may begin to act up. But having gained experience, you will definitely understand the exact amount of necessary products and the procedure for obtaining tasty, fragrant and lush rye bread.

The program "Sweet pastries" allows you to bake pastries. This dough contains a large amount of fat and eggs, so the difference between the program and the standard mode is more intensive kneading. You can also use this program to bake bread with grated cheese.

And why did they think of producing bread machines not in Russia, with its inexhaustible fields of rye and wheat, but in Germany, England, Japan, Korea? However, it cannot be said that the oven is loved only in Russia. In Germany, the birthplace of the bread machine, there are also long-standing baking traditions. And the French baguette and croissants? What about Italian pizza? Each country has its own culinary preferences, which are taken into account by manufacturers of household appliances. What can the creators of mini-bakeries offer to Russian housewives?

Russian cuisine has always been famous for its pastries.

Most of the models that are sold in Russia "know" our language - they have a Russified menu. And in the collections of recipes attached to the bread makers, at least ten primordially Russian dishes are necessarily taken into account.

Let's start with a dish that evokes a strong association with Russia - dumplings. The first bread machines that appeared in our country did not know how to cook dumplings. But inventive housewives outwitted foreign technology and adapted the “pizza” mode for kneading, which is available in all mini-bakeries with a dough kneading function. But still, these two types of dough are too different from each other to knead them according to one program. Dumplings - lean, without oil, prepared from flour, eggs and water. Pizza dough is kneaded without eggs, in milk with the addition of olive oil for elasticity ...

Given this, now manufacturers, in addition to the “pizza” mode, also add “dumplings”. For example, to knead dumpling dough in the Panasonic SD-255 oven, you need to load 450 grams of flour, salt, egg and 210 ml into the machine. water, press "start" and in just 20 minutes get an elastic ball of dough, which is enough for 70 - 80 dumplings.

The Panasonic SD-255 bread maker is equipped with the function of kneading dumplings dough

In addition to pelmeni, Russian cuisine has always been famous for its yeast-leavened pastries: pies, kulebyaks, pies, cheesecakes, and, of course, dozens of varieties of bread - from black rye to white wheat. Yeast dough can be more or less rich. In the first, more muffin is put - butter, sugar, eggs. Airy cheesecakes and buns are baked from it. The second is suitable for regular bread. In any case, kneading it by hand is not an easy task. A bread maker will help here too - it will cope with a yeast dough in a maximum of 2 hours. But even here you need to remember that yeast is a capricious thing. Pour and pour the ingredients in strict sequence, as written in the recipe. Yeast should not get wet ahead of time, otherwise the dough will not be lush enough.

In a bread machine, the usual yeast dough for cheesecakes “fits” in a maximum of 2 hours

So, the dough is ready, now what? The first option is to get it, roll it out and bake pies or buns in the oven. Unfortunately, the bread machine cannot cook such a trifle - its shape is intended only for loaves from 450 to 1300 grams. But even on that machine you can say thank you - after all, she did most of the work for you. And the second option is to bake directly in the bread machine. It is not at all necessary to first knead the dough, then set the baking mode. You can set a program that includes both stages. Then you only need to fill in the finished ingredients and after a few hours get the finished loaf. In the bread machine, you can bake Russian, Darnitsa, Borodino bread (in Moulinex OW 5002 it is even included in a special program), as well as bread with all kinds of additives - mushrooms, vegetables, nuts, raisins, cumin, onions. Manufacturers, knowing our traditions, have taught mini-bakeries to bake even Easter cakes.

For example, to bake Easter cake in the Panasonic SD-253, you need yeast, wheat flour, egg yolks, sugar, margarine, milk, candied fruits, almonds and raisins. Softened margarine and yolks mashed with sugar are placed in a bucket of a bread machine. Nuts and candied fruits are placed in a special dispenser, from where they are automatically poured into the dough at the very end of the kneading. Next, the “whole flour” program is selected, the “baking with raisins” mode is set, and the bread machine bakes an Easter cake called “Monastyrsky” for 5 hours. But if all the models mentioned above have recipes for Russian cuisine in the form of two or three programs, then LG Electronics went further in winning the sympathy of the Russian consumer. The models of this brand (HB-205CJ,) have the “Russian Chef” program, which provides for several traditional recipes for Russian bread. So, for LG HB-156JE, it includes honey-mustard, pumpkin, sour cream, rye bread and Easter cake.
