Design of a two-room apartment in Scandinavian style. Scandinavian style in the interior of the apartment and house Scandinavian style wallpaper

1. Properly zone the space. A small apartment requires a careful approach to the design of the kitchen, living room, bedroom and office. Let all rooms have a common base - for example, white trim, but each zone has its own accents, color or decor.
2. Save with imagination. If you're on a budget, try to complement your inexpensive furniture with some really original decor. Carpets, posters or decorative tiles will help with this.

3. Make furniture to order. Ready-made furniture of democratic brands can form the basis of a set, but it is better to complement the design with author's products. Something you can even do with your own hands from improvised materials - a coffee table from an old suitcase, a bedside table from a stool, or any other piece of furniture that your imagination has enough for. 4. Turn on your sense of humor. An apartment is not a faceless office space, here you should fully and with pleasure relax. Why not decorate the kitchen with a "portrait" of a deer, and the bathroom with a tile crossword puzzle if it cheers you up?

5. Follow the light. Recessed lights are a good way to save space in a small space, but keep in mind that the ceiling will have to be lowered for this, which is not acceptable in apartments with low walls.

High ceilings, columns and large windows - the designers of the Pobeda Design bureau emphasized the planning features of this Moscow kopeck piece with light colors and loft elements that blend seamlessly with the overall Scandinavian mood of the interior

Today we are talking about an apartment project with an unusual layout: the apartments are located on the territory of a former factory, the design features of which are reflected in the architecture of a modern residential complex. The owners, a young couple who devote a lot of time to work and prefer family vacations, turned to the Pobeda Design bureau with a request to decorate an apartment in a Scandinavian style using natural materials and a light palette.

Architectural bureau Pobeda Design

Design Victory Studio has implemented more than three hundred projects since its foundation in 2007. Studio employees prefer minimalism, loft and Scandinavian style, do not favor eclecticism and fusion. They are assured that they are the best in planning. Indeed, the experience is impressive: in addition to creating private interiors, the bureau cooperates with many leading Russian developers, developing planning solutions for houses under construction. Designers have a practical approach, they believe that a comfortable bathroom is much more important than outrageous design.

layout

The designers had to work with a non-standard initial layout: the apartment had columns, horizontal beams, 3.4 m high ceilings and huge windows. It was decided not to hide all these elements, but, on the contrary, to emphasize them: for this, concrete columns and beams were supported with smooth plaster, and the gray-white color scheme was diluted with graphic dark accents.

Functionally, the apartment was divided into two zones: public, consisting of a living room combined with a kitchen and dining room, and private, including a bedroom and a bathroom.

It was decided to give the main area of the apartment for a common space, since this is where the owners spend most of their time. We assigned the minimum area for the bedroom, since it is not the main room in the apartment.

The corridor

Hallway space of 9.2 sq. m is mostly used for storage: spacious wardrobes are located along two walls, and near the entrance there is a large mirror in a dark frame and an ottoman. The facades of the cabinets are divided into two parts and have different textures: one repeats the design of interior doors and is made in white with panels, the second serves as a support for the kitchen facade - a smooth wooden finish without handles is chosen for it.

The interior of the hallway is dominated by light shades: the walls are made in white, and the floor is paved with gray tiles, stylized as a stone. The main emphasis is on lamps of the original form: one is made of linen, the other is ceramic.

public area

The kitchen occupies a central position in the apartment. It is made in a minimalist finish: hidden handles, smooth facades, chrome details. The concrete beamed ceiling is the main feature of this area. Complementing its loft elements: exposed wiring and a deliberately exposed exhaust pipe that maintains the overall style. Light bulbs on long cords are responsible for lighting the public area.

Stepan Bugaev, "Design Victory":

In the kitchen, we used an interesting trick - we combined wood and plastic. This combination allows the facades to look modern, and the kitchen to be a harmonious continuation of the living area.

The central element of the dining group was the lamp. It is represented by flat rounded shapes of different colors and heights, which create a three-dimensional composition and at the same time act as a zoning tool. The dining area itself is a combination of different materials. The textile of the chairs echoes the finish of the table legs, and the lamp combines all the colors involved in the dining group.

The living area occupies a small space of 12 square meters. m and is represented by a sofa, designed in dark gray tones, and a system of shelves for a TV. The sofa is positioned to visually separate the living room from the kitchen. The composition of the shelves in the TV zone adds variety to the interior: randomly located on the wall, they combine open and closed elements.

Bedroom

The bedroom is completely done in white, and the accents are the moldings on the wall, creating a beautiful relief, and the black elements of the overhead lamp. The owners spend the least time here, so the bedroom has a single function - it serves as a place to sleep and relax.

Bathroom

The bathroom is also decorated in white, but it is not uniform: if it is just a white background on the walls, then the texture of marble is added on the floor. The central objects in the interior of the bathroom are a cabinet under the sink, the decoration of which combines wood of different colors, and a mirror echoing it.

Stepan Bugaev, "Design Victory":

The project turned out to be very bright and pleasant, with precisely placed accents. We managed to create a spacious and bright space in the Scandinavian style, embodying simplicity and comfort. All the requirements of the customers were taken into account, and the owners of the apartment themselves were satisfied with the result.

In this interior were used:

The corridor:

  • cabinet furniture - Stradivari (Italy);
  • pouffe - Gan-Rugs (Spain);
  • doors - Union (Russia).

Public area:

  • kitchen set - Scavolini (Italy);
  • lunch group - Calligaris (Italy), Muuto (Denmark);
  • light - Vibia (Spain), Muuto (Denmark);
  • shelf systems - Lago (Italy);
  • tiles - Equip Ceramicas (Spain);

Bedroom:

  • moldings - Orac Décor (Belgium);
  • bed - Gervasoni (Italy);
  • pedestals - Zanotta (Italy);
  • light - Karman (Italy), Delta Light (Belgium);
  • decorative plaster - Baldini (Italy);
  • floor covering - Finex (Russia).

Bathroom:

  • furniture - Biankini & Capponi (Italy);
  • plumbing - Villeroy & Bosh (Germany);
  • heated towel rail - Zehnder (Germany);
  • tile - Atlas Concorde (Italy).

Scandinavian style in the interior is a northern variety of country music. It is characterized by an abundance of light, light pastel shades, due to which the space expands, decoration with natural materials. Unlike other types of country music, the introduction of some modern materials in furniture and decor is allowed here. A Scandinavian-style two-room apartment will seem spacious and modern, and it won't cost much to decorate it. White walls in the apartment will fill it with light, create a single space.

Living room in Scandinavian apartment

A small living room with two windows seems much larger thanks to the right colors and interior elements. The walls of the living room are plastered and painted white - this is the most common option for interiors in the Scandinavian style.

White color is chosen for the walls and ceiling to make the rooms as light as possible - after all, most of the year in the Nordic countries there is very little light. For the floor, they usually choose a parquet board or a laminate of light, warm shades: alder, bleached oak, ash, golden walnut. The windows are often without curtains to let as much light in as possible.

Living room furniture - comfortable, compact and functional. Colors of natural, natural shades - gray and golden sand by the sea, gray-blue, blue, gray-green waves. The gray sofa in the living room is just that color, reminiscent of sand and coastal pebbles. Bright accents are also acceptable - colored or black and white geometric patterns on pillows, but, in general, furniture should not be bright. It can be strict in outline, with a black lacquered surface, like a TV stand, or airy, light, like a table, chair and shelving, which, thanks to thin metal structural elements, seems quite small.

Scandinavian style in the interior of the apartment involves bright lighting to make up for the lack of natural. There is always both overhead light and all kinds of wall sconces, floor and table lamps.

Decor usually consists of carefully selected black and white photographs, font or ornamental compositions in thin frames. Houseplants and phytocompositions are necessarily present.

Snow white bedroom

White walls and ceiling made spacious even the irregularly shaped bedroom with a small window. There is a full double bed here, and a balcony with flowering plants overlooking the courtyard makes it cozy and romantic.

The decoration of the walls and floor in the bedroom is the same as in the living room, which perfectly unites both rooms. The door to the balcony can be closed with a white roller blind.

The large double bed, with white painted wood headboard, white and silver linen and pillows, feels light and comfortable. The fronts of the cabinets are also white, which further expands the room. There was room in the room for a small chair and a white coat rack. The table and chairs on the balcony are wooden with wrought iron legs, which go well with the wrought iron railing.

Lighting is also divided into overhead light - a chandelier, and additional sources - bedside sconces and a tall floor lamp.

There is very little decor - these are forged candlesticks on the window and a black and white photograph in a thin frame.

Scandinavian style kitchen

The Scandinavian style in the kitchen, as seen in the photo, manifests itself with white walls, a ceiling and a light wooden floor.

White kitchen fronts go well with the black stove and refrigerator, black stone countertops are balanced by white ceramic tiles.

The open wine cabinet and table are also white, and the light wood chairs blend well with the floor.

Lighting includes a chandelier above the table, spotlights around the perimeter and work area lighting.

The decor is beautiful dishes in an open closet, and indoor flower, photos and graphic works on the walls.

Bathroom

The design of the bathroom is based on the contrast of black and white: black tiles on the floor and white on the walls, a black cabinet under a white sink. There is also a shower room behind a glass partition and a washing machine. Lighting - spotlights on the ceiling.

Hallway

In a small Scandinavian-style apartment, the hallway also seems quite spacious. White walls and a wooden floor, a rug with a black and white ornament and a white painted wardrobe - there is nothing superfluous here.

The section of the floor near the entrance, where the shoes are, is lined with dark tiles, right there in a small niche there is a mirror in a golden frame - everything is simple and functional. The entrance hall is illuminated by spotlights in the ceiling. The walls are decorated with photographs.

Modern design in Scandinavian style looks concise and tasteful. Despite its popularity, gray in design is often perceived as uncomfortable and cold.

But if you still want a light and soothing color scheme, pay attention to the Scandinavian style, which is also great for small apartments.

Scandinavian style apartment

To design a Scandinavian living room, you should use a minimum of furniture and decor. Curtains are usually missing or pushed back so that they do not interfere with the rays of light and the flow of fresh air into the house.

You can dilute cold colors with cream or yellowish shades, as well as rich green or light wooden elements. As for furniture, only the most necessary things should be present in the apartment.

A chalk board will look great in the kitchen, on which you can write notes or reminders to loved ones. Scandinavian style also involves the presence of a large amount of light. Often in one kitchen you can immediately see all types of lighting.

Shades of blue and gray are hallmarks of Scandinavian design. Blue color is best used as accents - a blanket, bedspread, carpet or towel. Even small things like candle holders or candles can be a lighter or darker shade of blue. Yellow color will help to update the space and bring a joyful mood.

The most important element in the apartment, which can become a key and transform the look of the room, is a chandelier.

Scandinavian-style chandeliers have the most simple design, but their appearance is distinguished by elegance and versatility. Classic floor lamps or lanterns with a metal frame will look very stylish.

The room shown in the photograph is dominated by a marine theme, which sets the tone for lightness and freshness. The traditional material in the hallway in the Scandinavian style is wood. If a free wall appeared in the hallway, not paintings are placed on it, but shelves for storing various little things.

As a rule, the floors are left open here, but if you wish, you can lay one small rug with a pattern.

If you want your child's room to be filled with light and seem more spacious, a Scandinavian-style nursery will be a win-win material. In addition, such an interior can be designed as a universal one.

Here we have collected photos of 15 modern Scandinavian-style apartments to explore its various features and manifestations. Get ready to see breathtaking one-bedroom, two-bedroom and studio apartments after a short overview of this amazing style.

The secrets of the design of the Scandinavian style in the interior of the apartment

The Nordic countries that gave the world the Scandinavian style of interiors are characterized by long winters, premature twilight and a lack of sunlight during the day. Therefore, the abundance of bright white color is the first thing that catches your eye when looking at the Scandinavian style in the interior of the apartment. In combination with it, natural beige, brown, green and gray-blue tones are usually used, which bring balance, harmony and coziness to the house.

Among other characteristic features that distinguish the design of an apartment in the Scandinavian style:

  • Minimalism in the choice of furniture;
  • Colorful textile decor - carpets, pillows, bedspreads, etc. (but not furniture upholstery!);
  • Popular style elements are brick walls, bohemian and vintage decor, industrial fixtures;
  • Open shelves with books and decor;
  • which helps to save space;
  • Warm wooden accents;
  • Numerous indoor plants;
  • Candles and fireplaces.

Let's see how these elements of Scandinavian style were used in 15 real modern apartments!

1. Scandinavian-style two-room apartment

When there is not enough space in the house, some rooms have to be combined. In this stylish two-room apartment, the dining area has been moved to the living room, freeing up the kitchen. But if you need a quick bite to eat or a coffee, you can do it at the amazing bar by the window.

Strict straight lines and black elements make the Scandinavian style of this apartment more modern and bold.

2. Scandinavian style in the interior of an apartment of 40 sq. m.

The owners of this apartment opted for a more classic and warm Scandinavian style, although they also moved the dining room into the space between the kitchen and living room. A pastel color palette and a tiny but extremely cozy bedroom are what we especially liked about this 40 sq. m. And you?

3. Scandinavian style in the interior of the studio apartment

It is worth removing the partitions and the apartment seems to grow in size. The kitchen, living room and hallway are in the same interior, and only the bedroom and bathroom are closed with a door. It's a pity that the owners didn't share a photo, but we were able to appreciate the industrial elements and a bright vintage refrigerator that give this Scandinavian-style studio apartment a special charm.

4. Scandinavian-style interior design for a two-room apartment

Undoubtedly, it is a pleasure to relax and work at a desk in this huge bedroom! Wooden floors with wallpaper balance the dazzling whiteness of the walls, while lush chandeliers accentuate the height of the ceilings. But the kitchen in this Scandinavian apartment is quite small, albeit cozy. And what is more important for you: a spacious kitchen or a bedroom?

5. Scandinavian style in the interior of a one-room apartment: division into two zones

This Scandinavian-style one-bedroom apartment overlooks both sides of the house. On the left side of the interior there is a beautiful kitchen with a balcony, as well as a bathroom. 6. Modern Scandinavian loft bed apartment

A loft bed is a great solution for small apartments that don't have space for a separate bedroom. In the best traditions of the Scandinavian style, the living room (and at the same time the bedroom) of this apartment is bathed in white, but the kitchen unexpectedly pleases with red-brown tones with hints of pink. Open shelves, modern fixtures and fashionable gray-brown upholstery of upholstered furniture add a special charm to the design of the home.

7. Beautiful studio apartment in modern Scandinavian style

Soft blue-grey and green tones, combined with white walls and wood, bring the charm of a winter forest to the design of this apartment. The simplicity and minimalism of the furniture is by no means striking, thanks to the shelving with open shelves, exquisite wicker chairs and numerous indoor plants. A cowhide rug highlights the living area, while modern spotlights on the ceiling help illuminate every corner of the spacious studio.

How do you like this way to separate the hallway?

8. Scandinavian interior of a small apartment

The next Scandinavian-style small apartment on our list is notable for its eclecticism. While Scandinavian style sets the general mood here, you can also spot a Persian carpet on the floor, Japanese prints on the walls, and a bold modern papier-mâché lamp. The rest of the furniture is elegantly minimalist, and only the fireplace stove and herringbone wood parquet evoke memories of bygone days.

9. Minimalist Scandinavian apartment design

This tiny kitchen and living room just needed to be combined into one room! The absence of partitions, minimal furnishings and large windows make the space bright and spiritual, while the design of the ceiling, patterned floor tiles and cheerful red-orange accents bring an invigorating decorative effect.

10. Scandinavian-style apartment with creative decor

Animal and floral decor is an integral part of Scandinavian interior design. It helps to bring more life, bright colors and dynamism to the apartment, which are simply necessary during the long Scandinavian winters.

In the photo of this dwelling, we see funny natural motifs that are combined with stylish modern furniture. The bedroom area is located on a separate platform, and emphasize the transition to it from the kitchen-living room.

11. Scandinavian style in the interior of an apartment of 25 sq. m.

The Scandinavian style in the interior of the apartment helps out even in situations where it is very small. The kitchen, bedroom, living room and hallway fit here in one room with a single shelf-partition. But who's to say that this interior is cramped and unattractive?

12. Bright Scandinavian-style apartment with loft elements

When the size of the apartment does not limit you, Scandinavian design can manifest itself in all its beauty. This space is simply mesmerizing with bright colors and original decor, which are emphasized by a light background.

Looking closer, you can see that the living room of this two-room apartment is characterized by marine aesthetics - from the white and blue palette to sea fish on the windows and ship patterns on sofa cushions. The life of the Scandinavian countries has been inextricably linked with the seas ever since the ancient Vikings first set out on a campaign.

But the bedroom and bathroom follow the best modern trends - geometric shapes have been leading design trends in recent years.

13. Scandinavian style in the interior with natural accents

This refreshingly light interior combines organic and industrial motifs for the perfect compromise between Scandinavian and urban style. Traditionally, a studio apartment has simple furniture, but unusual decorative elements surprise us at almost every step. What are the lamps (by the way, did you notice the lamp on the wall?), the window sill-shelf, the knitted decor in the bedroom and the pattern on the kitchen walls!

14. Cozy studio apartment in Scandinavian style

It is worth softening the shades a little and a small Scandinavian-style apartment acquires a luxury effect. Instead of the usual sterile white, the walls in this interior have been finished in creamy white paint, which is stunningly cozy with a taupe palette. Black and white photos, industrial lights and wicker chairs bring a touch of nostalgia to the design.

15. Small Scandinavian-style apartment with a brick wall

When the design of the apartment is based on the Scandinavian style, mixing and adding elements from different directions is not at all difficult. With this apartment as an example, we can note that the Scandinavian-style small-sized apartment very hospitably embraces modern and vintage, industrial and rustic elements.

The loft bed also helped free up space here, without depriving the owners of a cozy place to sleep.
