The disadvantage is that you can separate the thorn from the steel core. A more reliable option is to crimp the tape around the core. In this case, the structure is very difficult to separate, and the steel core does not allow cutting the barbed wire fence.
The last option is known as "Egoza". The 0.6 mm thick tape is made of steel with a small amount of carbon in the composition. It has a zinc coating. Mounting methods
Barbed wire installation is carried out in various ways:

Flat canvas

Installation
There is no need for a foundation to build a fence. It is only necessary. They are made of concrete, metal or wood. The distance between the pillars is from 2 to 3 m. The supports are driven into the ground or concreted. The latter option is more reliable and durable.
In the first case, wells are drilled approximately a meter deep and with a diameter smaller than the cross-sectional area of the pillars. Then the supports are driven in with a sledgehammer. Or a recess is made with a shovel. In the second case, a well is also drilled, but its diameter in the upper part by half the depth should be 15–20 cm larger than the cross-sectional area of \u200b\u200bthe support. Possible options

Work progress

- Usually, such fences are not equipped with a concrete parapet from below, but if you make a fence “for yourself”, the parapet will be an additional plus in the opinion of others about you. For a concrete parapet, you will also have to lay and concrete a ditch between the pillars.
- The depth of the pit for wire posts is 70-80 cm, under the ditch between them is up to 40 cm. But here you need to take into account your region. In the northern regions, it is necessary to take into account the depth of soil freezing. If the freezing depth is 1 meter, then you will have to make holes 20-30 cm deeper.
- The mesh will be stretched between the posts, so the two outermost posts will experience a perceived pull inward. Therefore, it is highly desirable to equip these two posts at the bottom with retaining posts from the side of the fence line.
- When installed, logs are screwed into the extreme posts and the lugs of the upper cable are threaded into them. The tension of the cable is regulated by the correct selection of its length and the screwed-in lags themselves - the deeper the lag enters the post, the stronger the tension.
- As a final chord, the upper edge of the expanded wire mesh is attached to the cable. This is where pliers come in handy.
Useful advice! Working with wire requires great care. Always do this with proper gloves. Be extremely careful when working with barbed wire. Seemingly minor damage caused by accidental contact with the ends of the wire is very painful, unlike other trifling cuts, it takes a long time to heal, and most importantly, it can become a source of much more serious trouble as a result of decay.
