Today, there is practically no such sphere of human life where the repair of any equipment would not be required. Maintaining machines and mechanisms in working condition is carried out by specially trained people - repairmen. Thanks to such specialists, industrial machines work, metal is melted, bread is baked, books are published, etc. Therefore, the article will discuss in detail the duties of a repairman, as well as his rights. Each of us will be able to understand how hard the work of a working person really is and what technical knowledge he must have.

The work of a toolmaker is quite serious and complex, and therefore there is a separate job description for each of its categories. In this article, the 3rd, 4th and 5th levels of qualification of this profession will be analyzed in detail.

What should a 3rd category toolmaker know?

A specialist with a third category will be able to carry out his labor activity only if he knows a certain number of disciplines well. What exactly are we talking about? Here is what the typical instruction says:

A plumber of the third category should have an idea about the basics of drawing, as well as geometric and trigonometric dependencies. In addition, he must know:

  • Ways to use finishing material, as well as the device of machines - finishing and sizing.
  • The device of various control and measuring equipment, as well as its operation.
  • Steel property.
  • Methods and variants of steel processing.
  • All the necessary information about the deformation of metals during their heat treatment, as well as allowances for finishing.
  • On the system of fits and tolerances, as well as on the parameters of roughness.

Thus, a representative of not even the highest rank must still have a fairly decent amount of knowledge. And what can be said about the duties of a 3rd category toolmaker?

About the functions of a toolmaker 3 category

What are the functions of a toolmaker? Duties of the 3rd category, oddly enough, are quite extensive. The typical instruction prescribes the following points:

  • With the help of special technical equipment and various templates, it is necessary to produce complex and precise tools.
  • Repair of tools and other equipment (of medium complexity, having a special outline).
  • Processing of various kinds of parts with the help of special equipment (from 8-11 qualifications).
  • Working with curly details. Their drawing, repair, marking and preparation.
  • Equipment straightening.

It is worth noting that some of the duties of a 3rd category toolmaker can only be performed under the close supervision of specialists with higher qualifications.

On the responsibility and rights of a toolmaker 3rd category

It is worth paying special attention to such important points as the responsibility and rights of the specialist in question.
The standard instruction prescribes the following about the rights of a toolmaker:

  • the specialist has the right to give his subordinates certain assignments and tasks;
  • can control the execution of tasks;
  • may require from the authorities all the regulations and documents necessary for work;
  • is able to submit to the management for consideration various wishes and proposals, one way or another related to professional activities;
  • can report to the management about all problems, violations and shortcomings of work;
  • can interact with various services of the organization in which the toolmaker works.

No less important is the point on the responsibility of the specialist:

The employee is liable for failure to perform or incorrect performance of his functions. For causing material harm, for various kinds of offenses committed in the course of work, a specialist can be subjected to from disciplinary to criminal liability.

About the functions of a toolmaker 4 digits

What should a toolmaker know? The duties of this employee also include the presence of certain mental baggage, as well as the ability to competently apply it in practice.
So, the specialist in question should know:

  • on the device of the sawing and finishing machine;
  • about the main types of dependencies: trigonometric and geometric;
  • all the necessary information about finishing materials;
  • all necessary information about pripilovodochnye materials;
  • about working with complex shapes (marking, drawing).

The standard instruction prescribes the following duties of a 4th category toolmaker:

  • Work with copiers, stamps, punches, conductors and other complex elements (meaning production, repair and operation).
  • The work, which consists in fine-tuning, wiping, manufacturing and operating elements of a figured outline (for a specialist of the 4th category - only 7-10 qualifications).

On the responsibility and rights of a toolmaker 4 category

The job responsibilities of a tool maker are very broad. It is because of this that this specialist also has a very large responsibility.
Although the standard instruction prescribes points similar to the types of responsibility for persons with qualifications below, it is worth noting that the situation can be much more serious. This is especially true of relationships with subordinates.

The same applies to the rights of a toolmaker who has a 4th category. The job description prescribes all the same points as for less qualified workers. However, the rights of a specialist with the fifth category are still a little wider. It is worth taking into account at least the authority of the employee in question: a fairly high rank allows you to build clearer and more organized relationships with superiors.

What should a grade 5 toolmaker know?

It should be noted right away that a specialist who has the penultimate, and, therefore, a rather important category, must have a very wide store of knowledge.
So, the job description prescribes that a plumber of the 5th category must have an idea:

  • about a complex professional tool and its elements;
  • about geometric calculations and drawings necessary for the manufacture of complex tools;
  • on the relationship between temperature and instrument readings;

In addition, the specialist in question must have an idea about safety, about his work schedule, as well as about the rules for using personal protective equipment. And what can be said about the duties of a 5th grade toolmaker?

About the functions of a toolmaker of the 5th category

What are the responsibilities of a grade 5 toolmaker?
A typical job description prescribes the following:

  • production, repair and operation of complex professional tools;
  • production and repair of various templates (here - 6-7 qualifications);
  • work on fine-tuning, rubbing, manufacturing of parts with a figured outline according to the 5th grade.

Another very important duty falls on the specialist in question: to carry out timely checks of various tools and dies. The check is carried out directly during operation. In fact, it is from the worker with the 5th category that the further optimal operation of the existing equipment will depend.

Thus, the duties of a penultimate rank toolmaker are quite extensive and complex.

On the responsibility and rights of a toolmaker of the 5th category

The higher the rank, the greater the responsibility of the specialist. This should be taken into account by every employee who is going to improve their skills. The same goes for the plumber. A specialist with the fifth category has a huge responsibility. This applies in particular to:

  • not doing their job;
  • performing their work improperly;
  • material damage.

A grade 5 plumber has all the same rights as workers with a different grade. However, their width will depend only on the place where the specialist works, and on the authorities, who may grant additional rights.
