"holy war" in major. We don't leave ours

It will cost less to break into Six stores

Ildar Dadin went to serve his three years - for a crime that cannot be.

Natalya Nikolaevna Dudar is a pretty young blonde. The lips are slightly swollen, strict gold-rimmed glasses on the tip of the spout, the eyebrows shift so funny. Type of the ideal teacher kindergarten, a teacher of elementary grades or a scientist at the zoo in the section "Pony and goats". But no. Natalya Nikolaevna works as a judge in the Basmanny Court of Moscow, and here is her achievement list:

- extended the detention of the seriously ill Vasily Aleksanyan, shortly after which he died;
- issued a house arrest order for the first person involved in the Bolotnaya case, Alexandra Dukhanina;
- extended the arrests of the defendants in the “bolotnaya case” Kosenko, Akimenkov, Krivov, Savelov, Barabanov, Zimin, Belousov;
- determined a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for Alexei Polikhovich;
- refused to satisfy Ilya Gushchin's complaints against investigators;
- rejected the complaint of Sergey Krivov against the actions of the investigator;
- extended the house arrest of Sergei Udaltsov.

And she also defended her Ph.D. thesis on March 18, 2004 on the topic “General principles for sentencing”, and this thesis raises a lot of questions, as the respected “Dissernet” informs us in detail.

So. It was this pretty lady who entered the history of Russian justice, passing the first sentence in Russia under Art. 212.1 of the Criminal Code " Repeated violation the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picketing”.

This article appeared in the Criminal Code in the summer of 2014, when the protest wave finally broke up on everyday life, TV and Crimea, and it became clear that “especially violent” people could simply be jailed one at a time, and no one would notice.

Ildar Dadin is 33 years old, he is well known in the protest groups. It was he who was taken to the department when he stood with a poster "No to war." And also with posters “Freedom for political prisoners”, Je Suis Charlie, “Keep silent - when tomorrow they come for you, the next one will remain silent.” That's for standing with a poster - three years. For protesting against war and terror - three years. Once, one blatar said to those detained at the pickets in the monkey house: “What are you doing, they give you 3 years for this? Yes, you idiots, you can break six stores for three years!

The only problem is that the Constitution does not say that it is possible to “break” shops. But about freedom of rallies and meetings it is written in Article 31. Both administrative detentions for pickets, and criminal prosecution trample on the Constitution - however, what can we say about the deceased, and even on the eve of the name day.

Wow - Natalia Dudar managed to imprison Ildar Dadin in the same week when we celebrate Constitution Day, this is December 12, let me remind you. The police will probably wear white shirts. Holiday.

Ildar will meet the holiday in prison.

He will survive the prison, his girlfriend Nastya will come to him in the pre-trial detention center, and they will play a wedding there. The zone to which he will leave will curse the day when Ildar received the term: he is fearless, smart and also sharply political, and these cheap things “Don’t piss off the judge”, “Don’t piss off the prosecutor”, “Don’t piss off the owner” , "Do not anger the detachment" does not understand and will not understand, and does the right thing. Ildar knew what he was doing after all the main sentences in the “6 May case”. And he came to the verdict with two bags - he had no illusions. Unlike us from everyone else, after all, no one believed that the poster “No to war!” may be given three years of general regime.

The point, of course, is not at all what is called disproportionate punishment. To spit and forget about that disproportion. There can be no punishment at all for expressing one's own opinion and political views. It simply cannot be discussed in a normal country. Resistance to the authorities? There is such an act. Hooliganism? There is. Extremism? There is. But there is no violation of the rules of a rally or picketing and cannot be. And Judge Dudar knows this. And her boss, Olga Egorova, knows this, even despite the fact that money has gone somewhere in her department for translations, which were not there, and for audio recording, which is also not there. And in Supreme Court they know this, and in the Constitutional - although it is not for nothing that the latter is more busy glorifying the benefits of serfdom. Remember the article by the chairman of the Constitutional Court about the fact that the unfortunate abolition of serfdom became one of the reasons for the growth of rebellious moods? Well, what do you want from the Russian court now?

war" in major" title=""Holy War" in major" /> Several police officers drag a man wearing a scarf in the colors of the Ukrainian flag from the monument to Zhukov. In his hands is a crumpled poster, the inscription is still readable: “Ukrainians, I am ashamed that I am Russian.” On Manezhnaya Square - a people's gathering against the entry Russian troops to Crimea. Anyone who dares to raise a banner - for example, a man with a sign "I don't want my brother shot" - is detained by riot police. Some passers-by also attack the protesters furiously. - There are fascists, Bandera! In our apartment behind the wall, the same Bandera people live, they always shake their rights, - she was indignant fat woman walking around the square with a child. - Get out of here! one of the protesters pounced on her. “If we do not want Russian intervention, we ourselves should not dictate to others what to do,” a demonstrator standing nearby reassured him. - Do you really need anything? - another woman, lean and gray-haired, asked those who came out to the gathering. - For tanks to leave foreign territory. This is our territory, you understand? And always has been! The dialogue was interrupted by riot police - detaining one of the parties to the dispute. - Take away this ugliness! Drunkards got up here with posters! - welcomed those against the "Bandera", the actions of the police. Very quickly, under the monument to Zhukov, the police found an ownerless bag - possibly dropped by one of the first detainees - and closed the square for passage, and the protesters began to be forced out towards Tverskaya. People crowded on the steps of Manezhnaya Square, a flock of girls sang "The Solar Circle": "Against trouble, against war, we will stand up for our boys ..." Every minute someone ended up in a paddy wagon, and at the slightest resistance the detention became very tough. Victoria and Mikhail shouted the slogan “No to war!”, holding hands. Vika grew up in Ukraine, Mikhail is Russian. At the rally, both of them - for the first time in their lives. “In my country, they don’t infringe on the Russian language, I know. I studied at a Ukrainian school, but no one forbade us to speak Russian,” says Vika. “The fraternal peoples are trying to play off each other,” Misha adds, squeezing her hand. The detentions, like a performance, were watched by three guys from the side and laughed: “Shmal a couple of times, and there is no Ukraine!” It turned out - the military, contractors. “The east of Ukraine is, according to the documents, our land given for temporary use,” one of them shocks me. “We will just take our own: we need the east, there is also metallurgy, factories ...” “And resorts!” - adds another. “We, too, can easily be sent there. And what, it’s good for us to make war: money right away, the pension will be big, ”the third one shrugs his shoulders. - Come to your senses! You will be the first to be sent there to fight! Our kids are going there! - loudly addressed the woman to the OMON chain. - Why are you all with the war, what kind of war? - the riot policeman was surprised in response. Even those who marched in support of the decision of the Federation Council to allow the use of our armed forces in Ukraine do not believe in war - and there were many times more of them than opponents, more than 30 thousand. Here marching under the flags " United Russia”, “Sober Russia”, “Officers of Russia”, the Orthodox movement “God’s Will”, the demonstrators also talk about peace and about fraternal peoples - more precisely, those of them who did not shake their heads in response to all questions, like most embarrassed teachers women over forty. One of those who came said that he, school teacher, yesterday they were urged to come here - he himself is against the introduction of troops. The demonstrators are convinced that they are also against the war. “Just in order for there to be peace, it is just necessary to bring in troops. nuclear bomb They also invented it so that there would be no more wars,” a man with a poster “Peace to Crimea!” proves to me. and refuses further conversation: "I'm at work." In expressing their love for the Slavic brothers, others went further: a banner “Russia and Ukraine are united!” floated over the crowd! and even the banner “Russia + Crimea = love”. main reason Russian intervention is the need to save the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine from the Nazis and the Americans, many of those present believe. “If Obama is against the fact that Vladimir Vladimirovich sends troops, his interest is in destroying and subjugating Ukraine,” the elderly man is sure, in a low voice he talks about America’s conspiracy and suddenly adds about the Bible: it says that all peoples when someday they will unite, it's time for us to unite with the Ukrainians. A well-groomed lady in a fur coat carries a handwritten (a rarity on this march) poster painted on the wallpaper: “The State Department and NATO are the diapers of fascism!” “I work at a school - so there, in the lower grades, almost all the children are already non-Russian. They have a plan to have their crescent above the Kremlin towers,” another lady shares with her neighbor in the column, smoothly moving from discussing the Americans to another enemy. The orchestra plays major and patriotic. "Uraaaa!" - sometimes an inexplicable cry of joy rolls through the crowd, as at May Day demonstrations in the USSR. In the same way, merrily and cheerfully, the trumpeters play the "Holy War". “There is a people's war, a holy war...” - the demonstrators sing with conviction on their faces, the same ones who just convinced me: there is no war and there will not be. ... On Pushkinskaya, where the columns were built, the girl handed out leaflets of the left Committee for the Workers' International with the headline "No Intervention" to those going on the march. We managed to distribute a little - a tall man tore the pack out of her hands and began to angrily demand: “Get out of here!” Among the crowd, the activist immediately found defenders, surrounded her offender: - We will call the police now, leave the girl behind! Who are you anyway? The man was confused. - I am a citizen! And if you consider this an intervention, and not a help to our brothers, you support them! - and pointed to the girl as a fiend. - Oh, so she's a provocateur?! - the woman who rushed to the defense most furiously read into the leaflet. - Bandera sent? Provocateurs must be executed! Now we'll put her on her knees! Excuse me, young man, I did not understand. Thank you. Natalia Zotova

01/27/43: Hitler's geek wanted a war like in France, but not like in Russia. Like pimps, he wanted to live at someone else's expense, drink someone else's champagne and eat someone else's chocolate, send looted cloth, silk and stockings to his greedy, like a wolf, wife, who invariably repeated in her "touching" letters the two words "come and go" ... 06/29/41: The main idea of the Nazis is the superiority of the German race over other races. They compiled a description of the exemplary representative of the Germanic race. This is how a description of a purebred bull or a thoroughbred male is made. According to the "scientists" of fascism, a pure German is distinguished by harmony, tall, light-colored skin and hair, elongated head shape. It must be said that the three leaders of the Nazis are not very suitable for the listed signs. Hitler is a brunette of medium height, Goering is an extremely obese creature. And Goebbels generally bears little resemblance to a person - German or not German - this is a tiny monkey, ugly and fidgety. The outward appearance of the leaders does not prevent the fascists from persisting in the exaltation of the German race...

The fascists turned people into animals, and replaced the complex world of human feelings with a textbook of tribal cattle breeding ... The ancestors of the present German fascists declared: "Slavs are only fertilizer for the German race." The Nazis picked up such a "smart" idea. They consider the Slavs "a minor race, created for agriculture, for dancing or choral songs, but absolutely unsuitable for urban culture and for an independent state existence." Russians, according to fascist "scientists": "a mixture of Mongols and Slavs, created for life under someone else's leadership." (“Red Star”, USSR)

08/24/41: In one of the hotels in the city of Smolensk, the German command opened a brothel for officers with 260 seats. Hundreds of girls and women are driven by force into this terrible den; they were dragged by the hands, by the scythes, ruthlessly dragged along the pavement. The Germans also opened a brothel in the village of Levikino, Glinkovsky district, Smolensk region. Fascist barbarians drove there by force 50 collective farm girls, including schoolgirls. This is how the bearers of the "new order" act in many other villages and cities. (“Pravda”, USSR)

The Russians give a total answer to a total war: even women and children are fighting the enemy. One German correspondent reported seeing a body in a wrecked truck beautiful girl seventeen years old with lieutenant buttonholes - she never let go of a self-loading rifle. Other ‘Amazons’, sometimes poorly equipped, but always well-armed, continue to give the Germans a lot of trouble. Girls and boys aged 8-16 who are members of the Young Pioneers, the Russian equivalent of the Boy Scouts, form groups to detect paratroopers. Even Russian mosquitoes in the endless swamps of Pripyat are waging their own against the Germans ‘ guerrilla war'. (“Time”, USA)

05/27/42: Now the war interests us: we want to liberate the regions and cities captured by the Germans. We cannot breathe while the German soldiers are rampaging in Smolensk and Novgorod. We won't sleep while German corporals rape Ukrainian girls. We will not rest until we exterminate the Nazis. Our strength is in our minds: there is no Red Army soldier who does not understand what we are fighting for. (“Red Star”, USSR)

01/14/42: These were not buried. They lie along the road. A hand, then a head sticks out from under the snow. A frozen German is standing by a birch, his hand is raised - it seems that he is dead, he still wants to kill someone. And next to him lies another, covering his face with his hand. Do not count ... On a birch cross, the hand of a Russian wrote: “We went to Moscow, ended up in a grave” ...

Here are their corpses. And next to it are bottles of French champagne, Norwegian canned food, Bulgarian cigarettes. It's scary to think that these miserable people are the masters of today's Europe... Some of the "masters", however, will no longer drink champagne: they lie in the frozen ground.

It's good when they are caught off guard. In the village of Belousovo, dinner remained untouched. They uncorked the bottles, but did not have time to take a sip. In the village of Balabanov, the staff officers were asleep. They ran out in underpants - and solemnly in silk French underpants died from a Russian bayonet. (“Red Star”, USSR)

09/13/41: A drunken fascist bastard shoots, hangs, stabs with bayonets, tears to pieces, burns old people, women and children at the stake. The fascist two-legged beasts rape girls and women and then kill them... The German fascist trash does its outrages with the cold calculation of professional murderers and executioners. 09/10/41: Animals in the uniforms of Nazi officers and soldiers show what they are capable of. They gouge out the eyes of the wounded, they cut out the breasts of women, they shoot old men and children with machine guns, they burn collective farmers in their huts, they rape girls, they drive them to brothels. Cowardly fascist dogs, under the threat of execution, are driven in front of them Soviet women and old people, covering their skins with their bodies. (“Pravda”, USSR)

It becomes scary when you think how many unfortunate victims of fascist rapists are infected with severe venereal diseases! ... (“Red Star”, USSR)

01/14/42: Women, when they see ours, cry. These are tears of joy, a thaw after a terrible winter. They were silent for two or three months. With dry hard eyes they looked at the German executioners. They were afraid to exchange a short word, a complaint, a sigh. And then it went away, it broke. And it seems, on this icy day, that it really is spring in the yard, the spring of the Russian people in the middle of the Russian winter.

Terrible are the stories of the peasants about the black weeks of the German yoke. Not only atrocities are terrible - the appearance of a German is terrible. “He shows me that he is throwing a cigarette butt into the stove, and asks:“ Culture. cultures". And he, excuse me, with me in the presence of a woman in the hut was recovering. It's cold, so it doesn't come out ... "They are dirty. He washed his legs, wiped himself off, and then his face with the same towel ”...“ One eats, and the other sits at the table and beats lice. It's disgusting to look at... "He puts his dirty linen in a bucket. I tell him - the bucket is clean, and he laughs. They pissed us off…”

"Defiled us" - good words. They contain all the indignation of our people before the filth, not only of the body, but also of the soul of these Hans and Fritz. They were cultural. Now everyone saw what their "culture" is - obscene postcards and booze. They were reputed to be clean - now everyone saw lousy bastards, with scabies, who arranged a toilet in a clean hut. They drink vodka and do their bloody deeds. Then they drink again and commit atrocities with a vengeance ... The Germans began to beat the prisoners, spit in their faces. Several people who resisted were immediately shot. Then the robbers with a swastika arranged a ride on the captured Red Army soldiers. They found a pig somewhere. One of the soldiers sat on the shoulders of a captured Red Army soldier, the other on a pig, both were driven to make it look like a race. Drunken Germans giggled, gloated, mocked.

01/28/42: Comrade fighters, look again to see if hand grenades have an effect on the "insensitive" nemchura. Check again if the bayonet strikes reach them. See if they die well from our mines and shells... They demand: "be cruel", they torture, rape, burn. We say: you woke up, a new day is before you, - in the name of philanthropy, kill a couple more Fritz - children and grandchildren will remember your name. (“Red Star”, USSR)

01/25/42: Silence, Fritz, so that we do not find out how scared you are. Be quiet, Gretchen, so that we don't find out how hard it is for you ... Perhaps you think that we are eager to study your animal psychology? No. We want one thing - to destroy your Nazi tribe. (“Red Star”, USSR)

01/28/42: Anticipating his death, Nemchura prepares new tortures. Disciples of the rickety leg, all these "herr-doctors" sit and figure out what other tortures to betray our wives and our children. They were not particularly "sensitive" to us. They ripped open the bellies of pregnant women. They gave horse urine to the dying wounded. They raped the girls, and then they took them to the ice and raped them again...

10/30/41: In Hitler's army mass rape women is a common legitimized phenomenon. It is encouraged by the whole policy of fascism in the army. The outrage against the population, savage torture and mass rape of women, widely practiced by fascist gangs even before, intensified many times over in the war against the USSR. Cruelty serves as a cover for the cowardice of the Nazis, who did not expect such resistance from the Soviet people. (“Red Star”, USSR)

Hood. Kukryniksy (M. Kupriyanov, P. Krylov, N. Sokolov), 1942

03/25/42: The Germans announced with special posters: Staraya Russa - primordial german city. Wanting, apparently, to give the city a “German” look, the Nazis drove cattle into the ancient beautiful old Russian cathedral, hung the corpses of people tortured by them at the intersections of the main streets, opened houses of brothel, where women and teenage girls are dragged by force. Yes, after all this, the view of the city became really German!

However, even Hitler's bigwigs were, apparently, somewhat blindsided by such Germanization. It turned out that in the city during the German occupation, 20 percent of all women who were driven by the Germans under threat of execution into brothels fell ill with venereal diseases. The order announcing this does not deny that the disease was introduced by German officers and soldiers. The order addresses the sick with strong advice not to rape women. Taking care of the population? No. "One sick soldier can make dozens of others sick" ... And the unfortunate women? Don't care, here's more tenderness!

An announcement hangs: “At the birth of the ninth living child or the seventh son, parents have the right to choose Adolf Hitler or Imperial Marshal Hermann Göring as godparents.” And next to it, two pregnant women, Nilova and Boytsova, were hanged on the street. The third woman hangs right there - Prokofiev, after whom four little guys are left. Why are these women hanged? Yes, for fun. (“Red Star”, USSR)

Everyone suffered terribly, some were on the verge of insanity. Finally ... the Germans threw us a dead horse. Starving people began to tear pieces of carrion. It was a terrible sight. Some comrades, indignant at such mockery, raised a cry. Then one officer ordered to put a machine gun at the door and ordered to shoot at us. The German machine gunner opened fire point-blank. We began to hide behind the ledges of the walls, but not everyone could do this. 25 people were killed and wounded. The corpses of the dead remained lying, they were not allowed to take them out. 04/12/45: In many Soviet libraries and clubs you will surely see a solid volume. The cover is stamped with a single word: "They." They are Germans. There are many illustrations in the book - terrible illustrations, because we are talking about the torture and torment that the Germans subjected to Soviet citizens: men, women, children. We read equally terrible facts in press reports about German death camps on the territory of the USSR and Poland: what happened there cannot be described in words, these are manifestations of absolute evil. Add to this the completely destroyed and devastated western regions of Russia and the gigantic losses at the front. Every Russian understands that the disaster that has befallen Europe is not just a war, but something more. Who is to blame for this? (“The Times”, UK).

For the fact that in Kislovodsk we found a five-year-old girl with her stomach open. For the fact that in Kalach we found a three-year-old boy with cut off ears. 10/30/41: The German fascist command proceeds from the basic Hitlerite position that terror, fear are the most powerful means of influencing people, which is why the German must frighten the population everywhere. Therefore, the most brutal methods of reprisal are encouraged in the fascist army: executions take place in public and, moreover, in a deliberately frightening atmosphere. But this does not help the executioners; The Soviet people responded to the ferocious terror of the fascists by developing a partisan movement. (“Red Star”, USSR)

Senior Lieutenant Andrey Filippovich Kolomeets, an attack pilot of the guard, told how the Germans blinded his father:
One morning I opened a newspaper and read in the report of the Sovinformburo the name of my native village, liberated by the Red Army.

I wrote a letter and received a long-awaited answer: everyone is alive and well - my sister, my mother, and my father. They ask me to tell about myself, how I fight, how I live.

Only one thing surprised me: why the letter was written by my sister’s hand, why my dad doesn’t write - he’s a literate, talkative person. I began to repeat in letters: I want, dad, to receive news written in your hand. And my sister still writes letters from home. Then I got angry: if my father didn’t answer, I’d stop writing. And here comes the answer to my letter: “Don’t be angry, Andryusha, with your dad – he can’t write to you with his own hand because he is blind: the Germans burned out his eyes. He did not want to work for them at the iron foundry. They took him to the Gestapo, held him for two days, then released him. Instead of eyes - two wounds ... "

Since then, I have been twice as sharp in flight. No matter how the German disguises himself, I find and beat him. Nothing can protect a bandit from my fire. I mercilessly take revenge on the damned German for the mutilation of my own father.

07/27/42: It was to the peasant soul of Timoshenko and all of Russia that Stalin, the man whose face symbolizes the whole country, addressed in the last May Day order: “They [the soldiers of the Red Army] learned to really hate the Nazi invaders. They realized that it was impossible to defeat the enemy without learning to hate him with all the strength of the soul.

It was these forces of the soul - the souls of a soldier and a worker - that the secretary of the Moscow trade union organization Nikolaeva had in mind, speaking to the weavers: "All work in the rear is carried out under the banner of hatred."

This is the hatred of the defenders, and the Red Army is still on the defensive: it has not yet been able to achieve great success in offensive operations and now she's on own experience looking for an answer to the question of whether one defense can give the desired result. It is to this hatred that Moscow's communiques appeal, emphasizing the need to exterminate German soldiers, to destroy German tanks, guns, and planes. (“Time”, USA)

During the war years, the political poster took a leading place among other types of fine art. State Publishing House Art (Moscow and Leningrad), Okna TASS, Combat Pencil (Leningrad), Studio named after M.B. Grekov, publishing houses in the republics of Central Asia and Transcaucasia, cities of Siberia and Far East, in Kuibyshev, Ivanov, Rostov-on-Don, traveling editorial offices of central newspapers and teams of artists created at creative unions, art institutes - the entire gigantic propaganda industry of socialist realism worked like a well-oiled mechanism.

Perhaps nowhere in the world during the war years in the genre of political posters did such a wide range of the largest masters of their time work: D. Moor, V. Denis, A. Deineka, Kukryniksy, D. Shmarinov, G. Vereisky, S. Gerasimov, B Ioganson and others. Summer. 1941 June, 22. Sunday. On the radio - TASS report about the perfidious German attack on our country.

And already on June 24, the poster “We will ruthlessly defeat and destroy the enemy!” appeared on the streets of Moscow and became an integral part of the strict appearance of the capital!

Within a few days, the whole country recognized him, and a week later, the whole world. This poster was followed by others. Posters, cartoons in newspapers, “Windows TASS”, book illustrations, anti-fascist leaflets for German soldiers, even packaging for food concentrates sent to the front - all these diverse forms were used by artists Mikhail Kupriyanov, Porfiry Krylov and Nikolai Sokolov (Kukryniksy), forcing them to serve their purpose.

At the same time, posters devoted to the army and rear, the ideological and practical role of the country's leadership in organizing a rebuff to the enemy were published in mass editions. “Poster artists are very often pressed close to the events,” wrote famous artist Viktor Ivanov. With each new year of the war, the tonality of dozhestvennyh canvases also changed.

In 1943, the topic suggested itself. … A soldier knocks down the “Drang nach osten” signpost installed by the Nazis with the butt of a machine gun. From now on, the wave of the campaign rushes to the west, and it seems that no force can stop this impulse. "To the west!" - the theme and name of the most popular posters of this period. 1944, 1945. The war entered new phase. The roads of war, slow, keeping traces of retreat, where death lay in wait at every step, were left behind.

Swift roads of advance, joyful roads of return and meetings become the theme of posters: “Let's get to Berlin!”, “Motherland, meet the heroes!” (Leonid Golovanov), “Let's liberate Europe from the chains of fascist slavery!” (I. Toidze), “Hello, Motherland!” (Nina Vatolina), “Glory to the Winner!” (Valentin Litvinenko), “May Day greetings to the heroes of the front and rear!” (Alexey Kokorekin). The collection of memory, like the collection of the museum, firmly preserves what is no longer there, what was and has passed. Time ... He has something to be silent about, and there is something to remember. And all this remained in the posters: “Stalin is the greatness of our era” (A. Zhitomirsky), “For the Motherland! For Stalin!" (A. Efimov), “Stalin’s order is an order of the Motherland” (A. Serov), “Chatterbox is a godsend for a spy” (L. Elkovich), “Comrade! Be alert, do not blurt out secrets to the enemy” (B. Zhukov). M. Nesterova 1945 The main monuments of the Stalin era were blown up and destroyed. Once famous works are in inaccessible museum storerooms.

And only in recent times this cultural layer begins to gradually emerge from non-existence, revealing its unchanging face to the world. And, perhaps, the only thing in our power is to try not to distort the truth behind the dissonance of memories. This selection presents both the famous works of the masters of political posters of the Soviet era, as well as works not so well known today, according to various reasons not included in albums and catalogs published in recent decades. Without them, the poster annals of the Great Patriotic War would not be accurate.

Ivanov V. We drink the water of our native Dnieper ... 1943

Sachkov V. Warrior-Liberator - Glory

This 1946 poster is interesting in that it bears the inscription “Glory to the Russian people” as a quote from the wall of the Reichstag. In the future, Soviet propaganda did not allow itself such a thing, and instead of the “Russian people” there were “Soviet people” on the posters.

Here is another poster from 1946. As you can see, the Russian people are already featured in the main slogan on the poster:

It is obvious that the use of the term “Russian people”, instead of the “Soviet people” that was constantly used before by the official propaganda, became possible after Stalin’s famous toast to the Russian people at the Kremlin reception on May 24, 1945 in honor of the commanders of the Red Army. Here is the transcript of that toast:

- Comrades, allow me to raise one more, last toast.

I, as a representative of our Soviet government, would like to raise a toast to the health of our Soviet people and, above all, the Russian people. (Stormy, prolonged applause, shouts of "Hurrah")

I drink, first of all, to the health of the Russian people, because they are the most outstanding nation of all the nations that make up Soviet Union.

I raise a toast to the health of the Russian people because in this war they deserved and previously deserved the title, if you will, of the leading force of our Soviet Union among all the peoples of our country.

I raise a toast to the health of the Russian people not only because they are the leading people, but also because they have common sense, general political common sense and patience.

Our government made many mistakes, we had moments of desperate situation in 1941-42, when our army retreated, left our native villages and cities of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldavia, Leningrad region, Karelian-Finnish Republic, left because there was no other way out. Some other people could say: you have not justified our hopes, we will put in another government that will make peace with Germany and ensure peace for us. It could happen, mind you.

But the Russian people did not agree to this, the Russian people did not compromise, they showed boundless confidence in our government. I repeat, we made mistakes, for the first two years our army was forced to retreat, it turned out that they did not master the events, did not cope with the situation that had arisen. However, the Russian people believed, endured, waited and hoped that we would nevertheless cope with the events.

For this trust in our government, which the Russian people have shown us, we thank him very much!

For the health of the Russian people!

1945 Kokorekin A. Glory to the Victorious Motherland!

I can even assume that on the eve of the holiday, one of the readers may criticize this series of drawings, seeing in the very name of the artist's series a call for hatred and revenge. We must not forget that the drawings were created in 1942, when the vast territories of the country were occupied by the Nazis. Of course, this is the lot of historians - to convey next generations the whole truth about that great war, whatever that truth might be... And Shmarinov's work is also history, including the history of the war. Therefore, I decided to talk about the artist and show his cycle "We will not forget, we will not forgive!".

Dementy Alekseevich Shmarinov

Soviet and Russian graphic artist, illustrator, teacher, professor, academician of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1953), corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the GDR (1970), People's Artist of the USSR (1967), laureate of the Stalin Prize of the second degree (1943), Lenin Prize (1980) and the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of culture and art (1997).
Shmarinov was born into the family of an agronomist. In 1919-1922 he studied in Kyiv in the studio of the professor of the Kiev Art Institute Nikolai Adrianovich Prakhov (May 18, 1873, Rome - November 25, 1957, Kyiv). Then, in 1923-1928, he continued his studies in Moscow - in the studio of Xavier Pavlovich Chemko, where his teacher was the teacher of VKhUTEMAS (Higher Artistic and Technical Workshops) at Dmitry Nikolaevich Kardovsky (August 24 (September 5) 1866 - February 9, 1943). Dementy Shmarinov is known mainly as an illustrator who worked in monochrome techniques with charcoal and black watercolor. The artist created illustrations for the novels "The Life of Matvey Kozhemyakin" (1936), "The Artamonov Case" by M. Gorky, "Crime and Punishment" by F. M. Dostoevsky (1935-1936), "Peter I" by A. N. Tolstoy (1940- 1945), "War and Peace" by L. N. Tolstoy (1953-1955), "Hero of Our Time" by M. Yu. Lermontov (1941), "Tales of Belkin" (1937), "The Captain's Daughter" (1974) and The Queen of Spades (1976) by A. S. Pushkin, Taras Bulba by N. V. Gogol, Romeo and Juliet (1959-1960) and Twelfth Night (1964) by W. Shakespeare, For Whom the Bell Tolls E. Hemingway (1979).
In 1942, Shmarinov created a cycle of anti-fascist drawings under the general title “We will not forget, we will not forgive”, imbued with angry pathos and telling about the suffering and courage of the people in the fight against the enemy. This series of drawings was published in 1943 a separate book in the Leningrad publishing house "Art" and in the same year received the Stalin Prize of the second degree. During the war years, Shmarinov also became the author of the posters "Revenge!" (1941) and "The Red Army brings liberation from the fascist yoke". The artist wrote few paintings, one of them - "Meeting (On the conquered land)" was written in 1944-1945. After the war, the artist several times in different years was elected chairman of the board of the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR (in 1959-1973), in 1989 he wrote a book of memoirs "Years of Life and Work".
The son of Dementy Alekseevich - Alexei (born April 4, 1933) also became an artist. He graduated with honors from the Moscow Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov (1952-1958). Today Alexei Dementievich is a People's Artist of Russia (1993), laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR (1989), academician Russian Academy artist, corresponding member of the Society of Artists of Austria and the International Munich Press Club, winner of the Peter Ludwig Prize (1994) and the Prize of the Society of Artists of Austria "Golden Lavr" (2005), awarded the Order of Honor (1999) and the Order of St. Sergius of Radonezh (2000) ). A man from the "Milonov group" hit a protester with a placard "No to war!"

Online chronicle

According to a Novaya Gazeta correspondent, 100-150 people gathered on the square in front of the Mariinsky Palace, opposing the entry of Russian troops into Crimea. People stand with placards "No to war!". A woman holds a banner "I have relatives in Crimea. I don't want them to be killed. Deputy Milonov and his associates arrived at St. Isaac's Square. Milonov says he is ready to volunteer for the war and "deal with liberal evil spirits." One of the Milonovites hit a man in the nose with a placard. After that, he calmly walked away into the crowd. The victim was gushing blood. When asked if he would go to the police, the man sadly replied: "Who is there to complain about!" - but did not leave the square.

"Go to the police? Who is there to complain to?"

Five protesters have already been detained at the rally. Cossacks appeared, with them the ex-head of the St. Petersburg police Kramarev. They detain everyone with Ukrainian symbols and posters. Among the Protestants are three deputies of the Legislative Assembly - Galkina, Reznik and Kobrinsky and ex-deputy of the State Duma Yuliy Rybakov. Galkina and Reznik came, despite the fact that they were subjected to for participating in a rally on Malaya Sadovaya against the unfair sentence to the prisoners of Bolotnaya.

The deputies of the Legislative Assembly ask the protesters to disperse and come in a week to the agreed rally on the Field of Mars. A girl from the crowd shouts: "People, thank you for coming!" They applaud.

The police drag people into paddy wagons, and pseudo-Cossacks shout: "Well done!" “They want to protect Russians in Crimea, but here they are dragged into paddy wagons. I’m ashamed,” says a girl in the crowd.

The Cossacks reproach the protesters:

You talk like a liberal!

Who are liberals in your opinion?

Public Enemies.

Milonov shout: "Shame!" He keeps doing interviews.

A priest appears among the Protestants. He calls everyone to peace. The Cossacks answer him with obscenities. Batiushka says that Russia is sick with aggression. The Cossacks provoke him - they ask whether they should turn their cheek and f*ck to the Ukrainians.

The Cossack shouts: "Crimea is Russia." Unknown girl offers him to give the Mongols half of Russia and claim Alaska.

The police detained Anatoly Artyukh, representing Milonov's "People's Cathedral". A total of 22 people were detained.
