The motor with the pulley removed is studded from below to the container. To clamp the knives, plumbing nuts 32 mm in diameter will come in handy. To make knives, you need to cut 4 blanks from a hacksaw blade with a grinder. A square hole with a side of 26 mm is cut in the central part of each blank. The width of each part depends on the degree of rigidity of the original metal. It is clear that the knives should be placed closer to the bottom. Their cutting edges are sharpened using a sharpener. If it is not possible to make an outlet for the silage directly under the knives, then it is equipped on the side. To do this, the grinder can make a circle 7x7. Tin is used to form the guide body. The body is attached to the grinder with M3 bolts. The platform of the unit must be as stable as possible. To do this, its base is made larger than the upper part. Make it as functional and convenient as possible.

The purpose of the platform is not only to hold the chopper, but also to protect the engine. It is fixed to the container with 3 bolts M 6x45. It is better to close the side faces of the platform with sheets of tin. In the racks, threads are cut for M3 bolts, with which the sheets are fixed on the platform.

• approximately 1 sq.m. steel mesh with fine mesh size;
• about 3 meters of metal tube (aluminum or steel) half an inch in diameter;
• a piece of board or moisture-resistant chipboard, plywood of such a width that a trimmer can fit on it;
• clamps with which the lawn mower will be attached to a wooden base;
• self-tapping screws, bolts, nuts, washers;
• wooden bars (enough 5 by 5 cm).

To assemble the grinding mechanism from the trimmer, you will need to use the following tools and fixtures:

• screwdriver or screwdriver with bits;
• an electric drill with a set of drills for wood and metal;
• an electric jigsaw with files for cutting metal or its manual counterpart;
• hammer;
• open-end or socket wrenches;
• punch;
• an anvil or a flat iron plate.

• the ends of future supports are flattened with a hammer;
• 2 holes are drilled in them on each side (6.5 or 8.5 mm in section);

• drill at the hole mark;
• using bolts with washers and nuts, attach the steps to the casing.

After preparing the casing, in order to downsize created mechanism, perform the following operations:

• disassemble the trimmer, disconnecting the motor, rod and cutting nozzle from each other;
• a fragment about 20-40 centimeters long is cut off from the rod with a cable;
• collect motokosa;
• check the functionality of the equipment.

Chopper Assembly

If, after assembly, the trimmer works well, then a grass grinder is created from it.

1. The motokosa engine is attached to the board with clamps.
2. The bar is fixed on a wooden base using clamps and a handle from a lawn mower.
3. Connect the cutting nozzle to the end of the rod, previously inserted into the hole in the bottom of the casing.
4. Start the mechanism and test it in operation.

If the trimmer used to assemble the shredder is equipped with a gasoline engine, then the motor is placed on the base so that it is convenient to fill in fuel, start the device and regulate its operation (speed).

5. Before installing knives, they must be sharpened properly. Perform one-sided sharpening for chopping brushwood. Make plates in the form of a rhombus for chopping grass. Make sure that the length of the knives is optimal and that they do not touch the walls of the tank.
6. Make holes in the center of the knives and put them on the motor shaft. Fasten with a nut.
7. Weld the finished structure to the stand.
8. Connect the start button and the wire for connecting to the network.
