We will send the material to you by e-mail

CBPB, which is focused on construction and repair work, is rapidly conquering the consumer market, the dimensions and prices of which allow it to be used for various purposes. We invite you to evaluate the advantages of a relatively new building material, to study its technical characteristics, size range. You will learn about the basic rules for using DSP during floor installation, as a formwork or as a basic element in production. The features of mounting with the help of DSP will be considered, as well as a brief overview of the main manufacturers of this material.

Facades finished with CSP acquire a stylish modern look

DSP is a cement-bonded particle board. In English it sounds like "cement bonded particle board". Refers to varieties of sheet composite material, focused on the use in the construction industry.

Characteristics of DSP boards: sheet dimensions and price, thickness, weight

Due to the variety of technical indicators that meet modern requirements, cement-bonded particle boards seriously compete with common, flat slates and other sheet materials.

DSP plate: technical characteristics, application

The main document that regulates the characteristics and use of DSP boards is GOST 26816-2016. According to its provisions, two grades are distinguished - TsSP-1 and TsSP-2. They have some differences in the values of technical parameters.

The scope of application of cement-bonded particle boards is quite extensive and includes several areas:

Weight of DSP boards

Most often, the weight of building materials is estimated if a low-rise building is to be erected on its own. This indicator is directly proportional to the thickness and dimensions of the material.

If we consider a cement-bonded particle board with a length of 2700 mm and a width of 1250 mm, then the weight indicators, depending on the thickness, will have the following values.

With a length of 3200 mm and a width of 1250 mm, the following weights will be.

Note! Analyzing the indicators, it can be noted that with a thickness of 36 mm, the plates become 4.5 times heavier than their eight-millimeter counterparts. Even for a 10 mm DSP, the weight is quite impressive, so it will be difficult for one person to work with such material.

Advantages and disadvantages of cement particle boards

The popularity of DSP is based on a wide list of advantages of this material, compared with analogues:

 • Fire safety. Finishing of cement-bonded particle boards does not support combustion. If a strong fire occurs nearby, they do not emit dangerous toxic elements.
 • Multifunctionality. The possibility of using the material in different roles: partitions, finishing, creating a rough base.
 • Biostability. Cement-bonded particle boards do not harbor fungi. They are resistant to rodents, various bugs.
 • Frost resistance. This characteristic is of particular importance when using the material in regions with severe winters.
 • Reliability. Even under conditions of frequent temperature fluctuations, the plates do not undergo deformation for a long time.
 • Noise isolation. The structure of the plates allows you to protect living quarters from external sound influences.
 • Moisture resistance. Even when used for finishing exterior facades, the material withstands atmospheric manifestations well.
 • Fast installation. If a private house is being built, then finishing it with the help of DSP is carried out at a fast pace, due to the large area of the sheets.

Among the shortcomings, the high weight of the material is noted, which makes it difficult to use it on the upper floors without special equipment. Also an inconvenient factor is the abundant formation of dust in the process of sawing plates.

What and how are DSP boards made of

The composition of cement particle boards includes the following components:

 • Portland cement −65%;
 • wood shavings −24%;
 • water −8.5%;
 • additional impurities - 2.5%.

As a supplement, aluminum sulfate, liquid glass are used. It is necessary to pay attention to the product passport, which reflects these indicators. Also attached certificate of certification, quality passport.

The technological process consists of several stages:

 • The chip component is mixed with hydration additives.
 • Water and cement fraction are added.
 • There is a formation of a plate of the required dimensions under a press.
 • Heating to 90 degrees follows and hardening under such conditions for eight hours.

The slabs are then aged to acquire their final hardness values in vivo for two weeks. The last step is grinding, if it is provided for by the technological map.

Plate manufacturers have special equipment, conveyor lines, comply with GOST standards, and carry out the necessary quality control.

The main dimensions of sheets, prices and where it is profitable to buy cement-bonded particle board

GOST 26816-2016 regulates two DSP length standards: 3200 and 3600 mm. As well as two width options: 1200 and 1250 mm. Among the range of different manufacturers, the most popular are products with a length of 2700 cm with a standard width. Thickness values starting at 8 mm are graduated in 2 mm increments. GOST reflects the possibility, if necessary, of ordering the manufacturer to produce plates with other sizes.

The price of building materials also depends on the basic dimensions. Below is an overview of the cost of the most popular varieties of cement-bonded particle boards.

With a length of 2700 cm and a width of 1250 cm, prices vary within the following limits depending on the thickness.

Thickness, mm8 10 12 16 20 22 24 36

Focusing on average prices, you can calculate how much the modern material needed to carry out the planned work will cost. For example, the price of a 16 mm DSP plate is 1,500 rubles with a length of 3600 mm. For facade cladding, 35 slabs will be required. Therefore, you will have to spend 52,500 rubles on the purchase.

You can buy cement-bonded particle board in stores specializing in the sale of building and finishing materials. Here you will be able to get the necessary advice on the selection of a suitable variety.

Many offers are found in online stores both from manufacturers and from representatives of companies that produce this modern and sought-after material.

Handling rules - how can I cut DSP

Cement particle boards, which are superior in hardness, practically do not cause difficulties in the processing process. They are well drilled, milled. For example, to drill a hole, twist drills are used and the work is done at high speed.

If it is necessary to cut the DSP, then at home they use different tools. Be sure to wear goggles, a mask over your mouth and nose, as a large amount of dust is generated.

Expert point of view

Ask a Question

“You can use an electric jigsaw, but you should choose special files designed for cement. They are equipped with carbide tips.

To reduce the amount of dust formation, it is recommended to irrigate the cut point with water from time to time. You can remove dust immediately with a vacuum cleaner, which must be held by an assistant.For plates with a thickness of more than 12 cm, it is advisable to use an electric disc tool.

Advice! Select discs that are designed to work on concrete, stone or brick. They are diamond coated. Preference is given to a circular saw, since when working with it less dust is generated than from a grinder.

Scope of DSP in construction and repair

Given the characteristics of the DSP, its scope is quite extensive. When using, recommendations for the selection of material thickness are taken into account.

Finishing the facade of the DSP

Facades finished with cement-bonded particle boards acquire a presentable appearance, especially attractive is the brick-like DSP coating.

This building material does not require additional coating, reliably protecting the building from external influences. You can purchase a cladding with a stone texture, made in marble and other varieties of crumbs.

If the goal is insulation, then a material with a thickness of 8-16 mm is used, under which the insulation is first laid. Then the crate is formed, and the facing plates are fixed. A ventilation gap is provided.

The use of DSP floor slabs

DSP is becoming a popular material when laying the floor. If it is planned to directly lay the DSP on the floor along the logs, the thickness of the material is selected in the range from 20 to 26 mm. This provides good strength with an average lag step of 0.6 meters.

The result is an even rough base, ready for finishing. Self-tapping screws are used as fasteners.

Often DSP 12mm are used to level the floor structure, the structure of which is multilayer. In such a situation, logs, waterproofing, and plank flooring are laid on the subfloor. The next layer is DSP, providing not only a flat floor surface, but also sound insulation.

If you use DSP with a decorative front layer, you can immediately get a clean floor without the need for laying other materials on top. This material is also used for installation. During the construction of auxiliary and storage facilities, laying of slabs with a thickness of 24–26 mm is allowed directly on the leveled bulk soil.

Production of SIP panels from CSP

An improved version of the new generation of building materials are SIP panels, the basis of the design is DSP.In the production process, a sandwich is formed, for which insulation is placed between two cement-bonded particle boards, which is fixed under high pressure with glue.

The resulting structure has high strength and does not require additional operations to insulate the building after installation. When using high-quality types of heat-insulating layers, SIP panels are environmentally friendly and resistant to fire.

Article

Not so long ago in the country (in the USSR since 1987) the production of DSP was launched. What are cement-bonded particle boards used in modern construction and what are they?

DSP is a sheet composite material, for the manufacture of which medium and thin wood chips (24%), Portland cement grade M500 (65%), special chemical additives (2.5%) are used to reduce the negative impact of wood extracts on cement, and water (8 .5%) (Picture 1). Plates are obtained by pressing at a temperature of 900°C for 8 hours. After that, the products are kept under natural conditions for 2 weeks.

The most famous domestic manufacturer is the Tambov plant Tamak. Plates are also produced by TsSP-Svir (St. Petersburg), the Kostroma TsSP Plant, Omsk Stropan, the Tyumen Sibzhilstroy and the Plant of Building Structures located in Sterlitamak.

Russian products meet the requirements of GOST 26816-86. It is divided into 2 brands: TsSP-1, TsSP-2. Less stringent requirements are allowed for sheets of the last grade than for TsSP-1.

Cement particle boards have:

 • density of 1100-1400 kg / m³;
 • high thermal conductivity - 1.15 kJ/kg*0°C;
 • vapor permeability of 0.03 mg / m * h * Pa (“breathable” material);
 • fire resistance - practically does not burn, at high temperatures it does not emit toxic gases and vapors;
 • water resistance;
 • decay resistance;
 • high sound insulation;
 • durability: 50 years warranty for operation in building structures;
 • high strength to longitudinal deformation;
 • surface evenness.

But cement-bonded particle boards, whose technical characteristics are generally good, also have a number of disadvantages:

 • high price;
 • during processing, an incredible amount of dust is generated, as a result of which the use of dust extractors, goggles and respirators is simply necessary;
 • heavy material: 1 m² weighs about 10 kg, which makes it difficult to lift it to the upper floors of buildings, and for structures using chipboard, you need a reliable, strong frame made of wooden beams with a cross section of at least 50x50 mm or rectangular pipes with a cross section of 50x20 mm;
 • low bending strength;
 • insufficient ease of processing: at the construction site they are cut with grinders and hand-held circular saws (Picture 2.3) using cutting tools with carbide plates or diamond wheels, sheets can be drilled, but it is better to perform these operations in the factory.

Application areas of DSP

The versatility of the plates allows them to be used to solve various construction problems.

First of all, these are outdoor works: the construction of frame buildings, the finishing of the facades of residential buildings, warehouses and agricultural premises, the use as a base for a soft roof, the fencing of balconies and loggias, the use as a fixed formwork for the foundation.

Facade cladding (Picture 4) is carried out by fastening cement chipboards with nails, self-tapping screws, metal staples or screws to a frame made of wooden beams or a metal profile. The optimal step of the crate is 60 cm, it is preferable to mount the bars vertically; for small areas, horizontal installation can be used. Between the sheets leave gaps of 4-5 mm, which prevent their deformation when the air temperature changes. The gap filler is an elastic mastic or sealing gasket, which is covered from the outside with flashings purchased or made from scraps of DSP. The space between the wall and the slabs, depending on the purpose of the building, can be left empty, or it can be filled with modern insulation, this is very important for residential buildings. After fastening, the sheets are primed and decorative plaster is applied or simply painted.

In the manufacture of the base for a soft roof, special attention should be paid to the waterproofing of the joints. Technologically, the process of manufacturing the base from DSP is similar to working with wood materials.

For fencing balconies and loggias, it is much more expedient to use cement-bonded particle boards than the used asbestos-cement sheets, because instead of fragile material, a strong and durable fence is being built.

CSP formwork (Picture 5) is increasingly used in the construction of low-rise buildings. It provides:

 1. Reducing labor costs and terms of work due to the simplest installation of the structure, moreover, it does not need to be dismantled.
 2. Painting the outer side of the DSP sheets with special paints provides vertical waterproofing of the foundation.
 3. The design provides additional strength to the fabricated foundation.
 4. Formwork retains its shape during pouring and curing of concrete.

The use of DSP for interior work

Due to the complete absence of the emission of any harmful gases and vapors during operation, cement-bonded particle boards are recommended for interior decoration (Picture 6): they level the walls (attached either to the frame of the most rigid reinforced profile, or to a special mortar or mastic) , form internal partitions, especially in conditions of high humidity (to increase the service life, such a partition should be treated with a water-repellent agent and painted with waterproof paint).

Floor device using DSP

DSP boards are also used for the floor (Picture 7), and their use is preferable to the use of chipboard (chipboard) or oriented strand board (OSB). Usually, the installation of DSP for the floor is carried out on logs having a section of 50x80 mm, in increments of 600 mm.

With the help of the CSP you can:

 • make a base for the floor;
 • form underlying or leveling layers;
 • lay a warm and clean floor with a front covering;
 • lay the floor directly on the ground.

The thickness of the DSP is:

 1. For interior walls - 8-12 mm.
 2. For installation of internal partitions - 8-20 mm.
 3. For flooring DSP on the floor - 16-26 mm.
 4. for formwork installation - 12-56 mm.
 5. For roofing and exterior wall decoration - 10-16 mm.
 6. For the installation of frame buildings - 10-40 mm.

Cement particle boards can be safely recommended for the above works. But it is necessary to use the products of a domestic manufacturer, and not to purchase Chinese DSPs. Using the products of hardworking Asians can lead to swelling of the plates, their chipping, the sheets themselves can be crooked, and the surface is uneven.

Traditional, used for centuries, methods of housing construction and decoration of buildings are gradually losing their relevance. Modern building technologies are focused on new materials with high performance, structural and environmental properties.

One of these materials is CSP - cement-bonded particle board. It appeared on the Russian market not so long ago, but the prospects for its use on the scale of domestic housing construction seem to be quite significant.

Finishing the facade of the DSP with slabs - photo

CSP are monolithic sheet slabs with a density of up to 1400 kg/m3 and a thickness of up to 35 mm, with a very smooth top layer with a given hardness. These products are in great demand in the technological methods that are gaining popularity, when all wet operations are excluded as far as possible and the so-called “dry type installation” is performed. The quality of this board product is regulated by GOST 26816-86, as well as by the regulatory document EN 635-2EU, adopted in the territorial space of the European Community.

DSP boards - dimensions, types, characteristics

DSP is an indispensable material in the construction of new mixed-use facilities and the repair of old buildings. DSP sheets do not load load-bearing structures and walls. Also chip-cement composites are used as a structural material, which is used to enhance the rigidity of the elements. Without the use of DSP, it is impossible to carry out low-rise construction: cement-bonded particle boards are used as formwork in solid and strip foundations, thereby significantly reducing the time, labor costs and complexity of installation, since DSP does not deform during pouring, as well as during the period of solidification of the concrete mixture .

Cement particle board allows you to forget about such laborious operations as preparing and mixing cement mortar, plastering wall surfaces, as well as leveling them. Due to the smoothness of the DSP sheets, the operations of preliminary puttying of the slab surface are excluded from the technological process, so they can be immediately used for priming and painting.

Production technology and component composition

What is included in the functional composite DSP:

 • portland cement grade not lower than M-500 - 65%;
 • wood shavings from commercial coniferous wood waste - 24%;
 • mineral additives in the form of aluminum sulfate or chloride - 3%;
 • liquid glass - 2%;
 • water - 6%.

Important! When purchasing cement-bonded particle boards for finishing the facade of an individual mansion, preference should be given to those types of DSPs that contain liquid glass in their composition. DSP sheets with this additive in the set of initial components are indifferent to humidity, temperature changes, and precipitation.

The production technology of this functional material is quite simple:

 • a certain volume of needle-crushed wood shavings is placed in the drum;
 • minerals are added to it;
 • portland cement, liquid glass and water are also introduced there;
 • as a result of intensive mixing, a homogeneous mass is obtained;
 • the slab is formed from several decks: in the middle of the slab there is a layer with a large fraction of chips, which determines the level of its strength. External floorings contain finely crushed shavings, which give a flat surface of high smoothness;
 • the workpiece is processed on a press;
 • after that, the semi-finished product is fed along the conveyor belt into the solidification chamber.

The resulting products are cement-bonded particle boards of a monolithic structure, which are not subject to delamination. A significant advantage of the composite obtained in such a technological way is the absolute absence of emission of harmful volatile substances, since the boards do not contain thermoplastic resins, glue and other synthetic components.

Operational properties of cement-bonded particle boards

Functionality:

Strength.

The exceptional bending and tensile strength of DSPs is due to the technology of their production: pressure under the press, high temperature contribute to the creation of a monolith that is able to withstand significant loads. During deforming bending, the strength of the material changes by no more than 10%.

Machinability.

DSP sheets can be sawn, cut, drilled, ground, milled using various tools:

 • circular saw;
 • grinders;
 • drills for metal.

Prices for angle grinders (grinders)

Angle grinders (grinders)

Moisture resistance.

The mineral components in the composition of the material, as well as the flat surface of the plate, make the DSP practically immune to moisture in all its manifestations. However, there is still a small degree of swelling: when immersed in water for a day, it swells by only 2%. That is why during the construction of buildings small gaps between the plates are provided. The smooth surface contributes to the rapid evaporation of water, so DSP sheets are used for the construction of moisture-resistant walls, the construction of hygiene and sanitary facilities in public buildings.

Environmental friendliness.

Cement particle boards are absolutely harmless to the environment, they do not contain phenols, formaldehyde compounds, they do not contain carcinogenic impurities and toxic substances. Plate sheets do not accumulate electrical charges.

Fire resistance.

DSP refers to flame-retardant and low-combustible substances. Even if the ignition did occur, the flame spreads very inactively, being localized in the source of ignition. When smoked, no toxic substances are released.

Resistant to low temperatures.

The frost resistance of CSP is one of the highest. The measurements showed that the destruction of the composite occurs only after fifty cycles of flexion-extension. In percentage terms, this is no more than 10%, which confirms the high performance properties of the material at low temperatures. This is especially true during construction in the regions of the Arctic, the Far North, Siberia and the Urals.

Biostability.

Sheets of cement-bonded particle boards are not subject to rotting, the destructive action of mold and fungal structures due to the antiseptic compound - calcium hydroxide. The concentrated alkaline environment of the material is formed during the production cycle, so the CSP is bypassed by gnawing animals.

Harmonious union: CSP panels panels for exterior decoration of the house

Before proceeding with the installation of cement-bonded particleboard panels, you need to determine the thickness of the material and its dimensions. Sheet parameters according to the standard:

 • length from 3200 to 3600 mm;
 • width - from 1200 to 1250 mm.

The thickness of the material in the issue of outdoor decoration comes to the fore in view of its importance. Here it is necessary to take into account the required wind and heat protection, the load on the slab and, at the same time, the load created by the material on the building frame.

 • frame housing construction - 14-35 mm;
 • floors in the draft version -10 mm;
 • window sills, awnings, slopes - 18 mm - 30 mm;
 • fixed foundation formwork - 14 mm -20 mm;
 • partitions, walls - 14 - 18 mm.

On the scale of frame construction, the walls of various rooms are made mainly of slabs with a cross-sectional size of 12 to 40 mm, and outside they take a sheet thickness of 16 to 24-28 mm. For mounting the DSP on the facade of the house, it is better to take a sheet of 16, in extreme cases 18 mm: it does not break under permissible impact and does not create an excessive load on the frame base of the building.

Installation of DSP panels on the facade of the house

Before proceeding with the installation of panels on a frame house, you need to think about warming buildings. As a rule, in the climatic conditions of the Russian Federation, during the installation of DSP panels on the facade of the house, a heater is used in accordance with the climatic conditions of the area where the house is being built.

The choice of insulation

As a heat-shielding pad, a variety of types of insulating material are used:

Each type of insulation has its positive aspects and some disadvantages. Compared to natural insulation materials, such as linen waste, their advantages are obvious: they are more effective in keeping the heat inside the building.

Important! If you opted for non-combustible mineral wool as a heater, then it is better to buy wool in slabs, and not in rolls: it does not cake when placed vertically.

So, the insulation has been purchased, now it's time to start installing the panels from the DSP. Doing it yourself is not at all difficult if you follow the instructions and meticulously follow all the instructions.

Various types of insulation

Step-by-step instructions for installing DSP panels on the facade of an individual house

Step 1. We form a crate throughout the outer wall space.

On all walls, using a level, we mount a reliable system of fastenings in the vertical direction, capable of withstanding a serious load that the DSP boards will create. The elements of the lathing system can be wooden, for example, from a bar measuring 50x50, or metal in the form of rectangular pipes 50x20 or metal profiles. The distance between adjacent elements is at least 60 cm. The vertical direction must be maintained flawlessly, then it is possible to install DSP panels without problems.

Step 2 Heater pad.

Important! The calculation of the required volume of purchase of this component of the facade must be carried out separately, depending on the area of the walls and the type of thermal insulation.

We distribute the insulation over the entire wall space, laying it between the verticals of the crate. The insulation must be attached to the wall with self-tapping screws of the required length.

Step 3 Adding a windproof membrane.

As soon as the building is insulated, a windproof membrane comes into play, which is applied over the insulation to the entire wall space. It also needs to be securely fixed in place. During this stage of work, you need to pay attention to the fact that the difference between the plane of the membrane and the plane of the already installed insulation should be at least 2 cm.

Prices for windproof membranes

Windproof membrane

Important! Do not neglect the ventilation gap device! If it is not left, then it is likely that condensation will accumulate inside, which will ultimately lead to rotting of the frame.

Step 4 We drill holes for fasteners in the crate.

We prepare holes for fasteners.

Step 5 Installation of panels from cement chipboards.

We proceed to the installation of DSP panels. The step between the fasteners should not be less than 30 cm and more than 60 cm, and the gap between adjacent plates should not exceed 5 mm. The gap is left in case of deformations that occur during temperature changes or during movements of the soil layers.

In order to avoid cracking of DSP sheets from fasteners, self-tapping screws must be tightened at a distance of 1 cm from the edge of the plate. By the same principle, decorative columns, bearing supports and crossbars are clad.

Important! It is not recommended to install cement-building slabs in order immediately around the entire perimeter of the building. Installation of panels should be carried out in stages, separately on each wall. Only after the installation of cement particle boards on one wall space is completed, you can proceed to the next wall.

Step 6 Grouting of interplate joints.

After the building shrinks, the seams between the sheets of cement-bonded particle boards can be rubbed with any means intended for this or designed as exterior accents.

Step 7 Final decorative wall decoration.

After the installation work is completed, you need to start decorating the walls. In this matter, each owner is guided only by his own aesthetic preferences, because cement-bonded particle boards provide an incredible variety of choices. Houses lined with csp panels can be painted, treated with tinting compounds, finished with facade plaster, or artificial stone can be added to the facade. Or maybe it is worth designing the architectural appearance of a new building in the Russian style? Then you need to glue on the walls of the house unique design elements that imitate wooden carvings - deaf, through, laid on.

Thanks to the use of modern materials in construction work, in particular, cement-bonded particle boards, the house will be warm, durable, fire-resistant, and have excellent soundproofing properties. And it's also very beautiful! Finishing individual households with cement particle boards allows you to create your own unique architectural appearance of any house, any village, any city!

The surface of the sheets is rough and smooth, depending on the degree of grinding. Finishing facade materials are decorated and painted to look like tiles, natural stone or brick.

The weight of 1 m² of canvas with a thickness of 8 mm is about 10.5 kg.

Cement particle boards tolerate temperature changes, have good moisture and biostability: they are not affected by fungus, do not rot, do not swell, do not deform. The finely porous structure of the DSP does not interfere with air exchange, does not disturb the microclimate in the premises. Despite the presence of natural wood in the composition, the material is practically not subject to combustion.

The service life of the DSP is on average 35–40 years. In the absence of aggressive atmospheric or chemical exposure - up to half a century.

Production features

There are several technological stages:

 1. In a special container, a mixture of water and binder additives is prepared.
 2. Crushed wood shavings are added to the liquid components. Mineralization takes place.
 3. Cement is added to the mixture.
 4. The solution is distributed according to the forms, the presses set a certain thickness.
 5. Thermally processed, fix the state of the material in the chambers.
 6. CSM is dried, ground, cut in accordance with established standards.

Features of installation and finishing

Cement-bonded materials are intended for dry installation. In construction and finishing works, they perform the same functions as chipboard, plywood, drywall, slate, concrete plaster.

Some use cases:

 • erection of fixed formwork during the construction of buildings, including multi-storey buildings;
 • finishing, restoration of facades, foundations;
 • basis for fencing, protective structures;
 • arrangement of garden paths;
 • creation of ceiling coverings, interior partitions, foundations for roofs, floors;
 • insulation, lining of fireplaces, stoves, chimneys.

Cement particle boards are used in many types of construction and repair work.. They are perfectly cut, do not crumble when drilling holes for fasteners, hold plaster, primer mixtures, paint, ceramic tiles, wallpaper. This is an excellent base for creating various designs, interiors.

When using DSP, the main attention must be paid to storage and transportation. The composition of the material includes cement and mineral additives, so it is quite fragile and can be damaged as a result of improper loads. Sheets before use should be in a horizontal position, have a support under them. During transportation, the material must be placed on edge.

During installation, the sheets are fixed on the surface at least at three points.. For vertical installation, a material with a thickness of about 15–20 mm is used. Holes for fasteners are pre-drilled. When moving plates from place to place, precautions must be taken. When sawing, tools with working surfaces of increased hardness are used.

Do not use putty for sealing butt joints. Cement particle board mainly consists of natural components, therefore, during operation, it can expand and narrow. Visually, these changes are imperceptible, but rigid fixation can cause a violation of the integrity of the seams, the appearance of cracks in them. Usually, the gaps between the sheets are masked with silicone sealants, sewn up with narrow wooden slats, a metal profile.

The surface formed by cement-bonded particle boards is strong, stable, does not require additional leveling, complex finishing. No need to impregnate with antiseptics, smooth out defects. From above, the material can be coated with a primer that increases adhesion. Then paint or paste over. DSP is an excellent basis for carpet, linoleum, laminate, mosaic tiles, and other finishing materials.

Varieties

DSP classification:

 • Arbolite. Universal, homogeneous, contain fine chips. They belong to lightweight concrete, they are used for cladding facades, formwork, erecting partitions, creating the basis for floors. There are decorative types, embossed, painted like stone or brick, which do not require additional coating.
 • Xylolithic. These are plates of increased strength, with a high level of thermal insulation. They are used for flooring. Wood shavings are quite large, located in layers in the inner part of the canvas.
 • Fiberboard. In the process of their manufacture, long chip fibers of coniferous species are used, which contain a minimum amount of sucrose and other organic substances that affect cement. The plates are distinguished by a softer texture, high sound insulation. Fiberboard is suitable for interior work: installation, wall insulation, building the foundation for ceilings.

Application in outdoor works

For the construction of formwork, facades, fences, materials with maximum moisture resistance are chosen. DSPs are best suited for creating strip foundations.

The thickness of the plates for external work is 12–40 mm. The service life of finished structures depends on weather conditions: rainfall, seasonal temperature differences. On average, it is about 15 years.

For external work, it is optimal to choose materials with an additional protective layer of moisture-resistant polystyrene foam, stone chips.

Before installing the formwork for the foundation, crushed stone is laid on the ground, then a layer of waterproofing. The footing is poured from above, the pins of the structure, drainage are installed.

When installing the plates, tin ties are used, they are fastened on top and bottom of each sheet, in the corners and in the middle. This provides additional structural stability. The distance between the rows of jumpers should be about 40 cm. All wood blanks are immediately removed after the concrete has hardened.

The seams are sealed with cement mortar.

To lift and secure the slabs at the required height, winches and stable scaffolding are required.

CSP formwork is mounted several times faster than from wood and other materials, the results are much better.

Interior decoration and flooring

For interior work, sheets with a thickness of 4 mm are used. For rough and finish installation of floors, plates from 8 mm are suitable. It should be borne in mind that the heat-insulating and sound-absorbing qualities are higher for thicker sheets.

Tools required for work:

 • saws or hacksaws;
 • spatulas;
 • self-tapping screws;
 • screwdriver;
 • building level;
 • tamping roller or pick-up shovel;
 • crushed stone, mastic, primer.

When installing a floor from slabs, the base is pre-prepared. To do this, it is leveled, a layer of rubble is poured. If the subfloor is made of concrete, a substrate is laid on it or support logs are installed. Thermal insulation is placed in all available voids. Bulk materials are preferred as they do not need to be cut.

Plates are mounted end-to-end, trying not to leave gaps and cracks. Seams are treated with sealant. If materials with a low moisture resistance index are used, an additional layer of waterproofing is laid under them. Then the finish coat is applied.

Advantages and disadvantages of DSP

Cement-bonded materials have the positive qualities of natural wood and stone. They are:

 • durable;
 • resistant to adverse conditions, high and low temperatures;
 • do not deform;
 • environmentally friendly, safe for health;
 • well absorb noise;
 • keep warm;
 • not damaged by fungus, insects, rodents;
 • durable;
 • can be used in conditions of high humidity.

DSP production technologies make it possible to obtain sheets with desired characteristics. This significantly reduces the time and cost of the work. Practicality, versatility make CSP a popular building material. With their help, you can quickly erect the frames of buildings, perform any kind of decoration. The composite has versatile functions, eliminates the need for additional surface treatment. This allows you to significantly save money during construction, repair.

Significant disadvantages of cement-bonded particle boards include:

 • large proportion. A standard sheet has a mass of 70 kg. This makes installation difficult. It is impossible to move plates alone. The severity of the material creates a high additional load on the supporting structures;
 • DSPs are non-plastic, rather brittle. They cannot be bent, with strong blows it is easy to damage, break;
 • during manual and mechanical processing, the material emits a large amount of dust, so it is necessary to use special protective equipment for the respiratory system and eyes. After the interior decoration, a thorough cleaning of the premises is required.

Subject to all the rules for storage, installation of the material, the disadvantages are completely leveled by the existing advantages.

Material cost

The final price depends on the size, quantity of purchased materials, manufacturer.

Retail price of one slab, made in Russia, with thickness:

 • 8–10 mm - 900–1100 rubles;
 • 16–20 mm - 1600–1950 rubles;
 • over 20 mm - from 2000 rubles.

Similar Chinese-made materials are much cheaper, but do not have the necessary technical certification, quality assurance.

Cement particle board is a high-quality and safe material that is actively used in modern construction.

We'll talk about what it is suitable for, what materials it can replace, and most importantly, how to use it.

DSP is a building material with a unique structure.

Cement-bonded particle boards consist of crushed needles shavings, which are notable for their small thickness, but impressive length.

The length may vary. A characteristic feature is that at the edges the chips are located along the plate, and inside - across.

This primarily affects the strength characteristics.

Advantages of cement particle boards

DSP can be used in areas of high humidity, as well as in conditions that are characterized by a dry climate.

However, this is not the most important advantage of the material. Among the other advantages it is worth highlighting:

 • versatility. DSP is universal, both in carrying out external repairs and in performing work on finishing the premises inside the house;
 • high rates of thermal insulation. If we, in which heating is not planned, will be kept warm in the house in the spring and autumn;
 • cement particle boards are easy to install;
 • does not require complex processing, is sold ready-made (thanks to this, you do not need to keep proportions, add impurities, thereby increasing your own chances of error and damage to materials);
 • Bacteria do not multiply in the CSP. The environment that is created in the pores of the material, although safe for humans, is unfavorable for microorganisms;
 • can be finished in any way, using any materials (paint, paste over, plaster, and so on);
 • no flammability. This can be achieved due to the fact that CSP contains cement;
 • climate and temperature conditions do not affect the structure of materials;
 • DSP is not interesting for pests;
 • does not contain formaldehyde and other toxic substances that continuously have a negative impact.

As a rule, DSPs are sold in certain sizes. In total, there are 7 dimensional options that differ in length, width and thickness (and, of course, in weight, respectively).

Where is cement particle board used?

The way the slabs are used directly affects the material. It is important to understand that there are two types of DSP: rough and smooth.

They can be applied:

 • for flooring;
 • creating a warm floor;
 • as partitions;
 • DSP can be used as fixed formwork;
 • sheathe a frame house;
 • room finishing.

A little about smooth… This type of slab is great for interior decoration. It is comfortable, easy to install, covered with almost any type of interior decoration.

When it comes to wallpapering, it is easy to prepare a DSP for this. In addition, the wallpaper adheres well to the tiles.

Similarly, DSP is used to create . The floor will be smooth, warm, reliable. If you sheathe both the walls and the floor with slabs, you can get an almost even room.

By the way, the use of this material is also typical for the bathroom, since even plates are usually impregnated with a special substance that protects the coating from moisture. No matter how humid the air, the plates do not deform.

DSP board with a rough surface is used outside the rooms of the house.

With its help, you can decorate the walls, leveling them and finishing to taste. Plates are used to form a roofing cake, formwork, in the construction of structures with a deliberately small load when used.

By the way, sandwich panels are also made of DSP. This material is suitable for creating paths, paths, which, again, will not withstand heavy loads.

Cement particle boards are also suitable for creating furniture, large warehouse structures, and erecting fences.

Cement particle board partitions

DSP can be used to create partitions. What is the advantage of these boards compared to the so popular drywall?

The latter is not resistant to moisture, and it does not retain heat, and the sound transmits perfectly, which can be called a rather negative moment.

In combination with DSP with mineral wool or fiberglass, sound insulation can be increased several times.

It lends itself very well to cutting, which is a plus in places where pipes and wiring pass.

Finishing the room with cement particle boards

Along with a rich choice of the scope of the plate, one can note the particular popularity of using it indoors.
