The circuit diagram of the device of the light and music fountain allows you to manually and automatically adjust the height of the fountain and switch the garlands in a binary code. The low-voltage power supply of the LEDs allows their installation directly in the pool water. The switching of the color and music design is performed with switching of channels in binary counting, with control from both the internal generator and the external signal, with the connection of the system device to the output amplifier of the audio equipment.

The electrical safety of the device is ensured by the installation of devices for galvanic isolation of the device circuit from the mains.

The schematic diagram represents a digital device consisting of: a frequency generator on the elements of a digital microcircuit DD1.1 and DD1.2, a garland flicker generator on the elements DD1.3, DD1.4, a binary counter DD2 and controls for the operation of garlands and a pump motor VT2- VT5. From the outputs of the counter, pulses in binary code through the limiting resistors R7-R10 are fed to the inputs of powerful transistors VT2-VT4. The flicker generator on the elements DD1.3, DD1.4 creates surges at the input 2.3DD2 periodically switching the outputs of the counter DD2. To integrate the duration of the pulses at the output (8) DD1.4, an RC circuit R6, C3 is installed. Part of the binary code signal, from the meter output, is fed through separating diodes VD1-VD4 to the pump motor speed controller assembly, consisting of the DA2 optocoupler, which controls the delay in the opening angle of the triac VS1. The pump motor - "M1" is included in the anode circuit of the triac.

The increase in the speed of the electric motor M1 of the water pump occurs automatically with an increase in the brightness of the garlands, while the pump has a maximum performance at the maximum voltage on the pump motor.

To reduce interference from the operation of the triac converter, elements to reduce the level of interference are introduced into the circuit - the line filter capacitor C9.

Elements of the digital microcircuit DD1 in the device performs the function of "AND-NOT" - logical multiplication with subsequent inversion of the result. When the logical units match at all inputs of the element, a logical zero appears at the output. Any other combination of input logical states leads to the formation of a logical unit at the output. The DD1 microcircuit includes four “2 AND-NOT” elements, which allows you to assemble two generators.

Chip DD2 is a digital counter that contains four memory registers and is a frequency divider. The results of the count in binary code are taken from the outputs Q1, Q2, Q4, Q8.

The counter has two setting inputs 2 and 3, when high voltage levels are applied to them, all internal triggers go to the zero state and the counting stops. The state of the logic levels at the output of the counter on the DD2 chip is the binary equivalent of a decimal number.

On the elements DD1.1 and DD1.2 of the DD1 microcircuit and the transistor VT1, a pulse generator is made with a frequency of several tens of hertz, the frequency and
the duty cycle depends on the values ​​​​of the resistors R2, R3 and the capacitance of the capacitor C1, when synchronized from an external signal source by the elements DD1.1, DD1.2, a pulse is generated that is sufficient to switch the counter registers on the DD2 microcircuit.

The circuit diagram of the device does not contain scarce radio components. Resistors are installed with a power of 0.125 watts of the MLT or C-29 type, resistor R16 is set for a power of at least a watt. Capacitors of type K50 and KM, C9 of type K73 for a voltage of at least 400 volts. Adjusting resistors R2 R3, R5 type SP-3.
Digital microcircuits are applicable from the K155, K555 series.

Transistors installed with reverse conductivity type KT312, KT315 - powerful ones can be replaced with KT817 B. It is advisable to install small-sized diodes of the D9, D310 type, the VD5 diode bridge on KD213B. Network transformer T1 for secondary voltage 9-12 volts type TPP112-6, TN-2, TN-4. The circuit is assembled on a printed circuit board with dimensions of 80 * 55, due to the low power of the pump motor, the triac is installed without a radiator.

A correctly assembled circuit of a light and music fountain starts working immediately, the required duty cycle is selected by resistor R2 - the ratio of the interval when voltage is present at the output of element DD1.2 to the full period of the pulse.

The resistor R3 sets the acceptable frequency of the generator - the time of charging and discharging the capacitor C1 through the threshold device on the transistor VT1 and the element DD1.1. When synchronizing the operation of the counter from an external signal source, the device should be connected to the speaker of the tape recorder or the output of the amplifier, and the SA1 toggle switch should be turned to the left, according to the diagram, position. In this case, the transistor VT1 is used as a preamplifier, and the elements of the microcircuit DD1.1 and DD1.2 will work in the counting signal generation mode.

It is possible to check the operation of the triac controller by connecting pin 3 of the DA2 optocoupler to the minus of the power bus through a 1 kΩ resistor.

Four garlands are made on LEDs of the same type, but with a different glow color. It is advisable to replace yellow or orange LEDs with blue LEDs, which are more expensive.

The water pump and LED garlands are installed in a water tank such as a pool or a large aquarium. The LEDs are attached to the bottom of the tank, and the pump to the side wall - with factory suction cups. The water outlet spray must be deployed with holes up to create a fountain.

When using a pool with aquarium fish, the filters become clogged with waste products and must be washed periodically, otherwise the pressure of the fountains will decrease.

To turn off the device at night, in addition, a photorelay can be introduced into the circuit, made according to articles published in the journal. MAGI type pumps are sold in aquarium stores.

The printed circuit board with circuit elements is mounted in a plastic case from the factory power supply, to connect the power cord of the pump to the circuit, a socket is installed on the case. Fuse FU1 and switch SA2 are used in any configuration.
