Mobile home: real photos, views, examples of arrangement. The most compact motorhome. Hobby Vantana, K55 The smallest motorhomes inside and out: photos

The culture of motorhomes in our time is developing every day. All thanks to the fact that new models of campers and trailers enter the market almost every week. And this is very good, because now they are gradually turning from an expensive toy into something that will soon be available to every family.

The designers of the French company Baluchon boasted a new small-sized motor home, which can be towed by almost any car. The house was named Intrepide and will be an ideal choice, for example, for a couple. It is also curious that the design and arrangement of a mobile home provides for the possibility of traveling with pets.

The house has a modest and concise appearance. At the same time, the house really uses its internal space with maximum efficiency. And how could it be otherwise, because they made it in France, and there is an incredibly strict regulation regarding towed dwellings, which does not allow making any big motorhomes.

Inside the house, everything is quite “traditional”. Entering through the door, you find yourself in a small guest space. There is a sofa here, and a table for eating will also be laid out here. Immediately behind it is the kitchen with a sink, stove and oven, fridge and freezer, waste disposal system and a set of smaller kitchen utensils. One drawback is that there is not much storage space.

Immediately behind the kitchen is a bathroom with toilet and shower. There is also an Intrepide water supply nearby. Finally, you can go up the stairs and find yourself on the second floor. There is a sleeping place and a small office with sockets and a table where you can work, even while traveling.

Russia in caravanning makes only the first uncertain steps. A few years ago, Hymer, the largest manufacturer of motorhomes and caravans in Europe, even opened a representative office in Moscow, but later left the Russian market with nothing. The lack of decent roads and roadside infrastructure is to blame. And most importantly, far from the brilliant financial well-being of the Russians, which is revealed by the laconic phrase "let's put it off until better times." After all, the purchase of movable property is sometimes comparable to the purchase of a decent apartment.

Whether business abroad!

1. Fabulous. My home is my castle

This statement literally fits a married couple from New Zealand, who personally turned an unsightly-looking British Bedford truck into a real one. True, when folded, only two towers attached to the rear of the motorhome remind of this. But when in the parking lot they raise the canopy over the roof of the trailer and the superstructure above the cab, lay out the side walls of the van and unfold the turrets in all their glory, then a medieval fantasy castle appears before your eyes.

The fairy house on wheels is completely autonomous and does not require connection to the power supply. All the energy it needs is generated by solar panels installed on the roof, and in addition to this, gas and heat from a small fireplace stove are also used to heat water if necessary. Rainwater from the roof flows into special tanks fixed under the truck.

The author of the project and actually the foreman and builder in one person was the father of the family, Justin Sizen, an engineer by training. He thought through every little detail. Inside the house there is a living and dining area, a full-sized kitchen, because a young family with a small child loves to cook. A cozy bedroom is located in the retractable attic above the cab. A tent canopy rising above the roof turns it into a spacious summer terrace with a hammock. Here, at the request of Yola, Justin's wife, a bath was also installed - right in the open air. There is a toilet in the left turret, and a shower in the right one. Any seemingly useless corner or niche is filled with original built-in sliding and revolving cabinets and illuminated shelves, where all the family's belongings are conveniently and discreetly placed. The need for a mobile home in the Sizen family did not appear by chance. Yola is a circus aerialist and has to spend most of her time on tour.

2. Cheerful. The pub that is always with you

A group of Irish enthusiasts led by John Walsh decided to combine their love of folk traditions with business and converted a 30-year-old caravan into a village pub in 2014. For everything about everything, the team took four months of work and 20 thousand euros.

Outwardly, the drinking establishment on wheels exactly repeats a neatly whitewashed village house of the beginning of the last century with a natural slate roof, a chimney, a door made of two halves, and a fireplace. With a length of 4.2 m and a width of 2.1 m, ten people can comfortably accommodate at the same time. Inside, everything is also decorated like in the good old days. To emphasize the spirit of the times and give the interior a vintage look, specially aged Irish oak and pine were used for decoration.

The original operating pub on wheels immediately fell in love with everyone in the area. After many years of oblivion, the revived fun van is now just like hot cakes. Literally not knowing a moment of peace, he travels around the cities and towns of Ireland as a welcome guest of holidays, parties and corporate events. To do this, it is equipped with everything you need: glasses, glasses, shakers, refrigerators, a system for pouring drinks, a music system.

The only thing that tenants have to worry about is food and drinks to their taste. The newlyweds especially liked the mobile zucchini, becoming a real highlight of the wedding festivities. True, the cost of renting it bites, amounting to 750 euros on weekdays, and 1500 euros on weekends. And that's without taking into account the cost of transportation. But the joy and fun that he brings to people cover this small drawback. John Walsh's business has gone so well that Shebeen now professionally converts caravans into bespoke pubs on wheels. Those who wish can choose from three options for interior decoration: houses covered with thatch, natural slate or galvanized iron. The maximum price of your own mobile vegetable marrow reaches 39,950 euros.

3. Fantastic. The home that never was

Adherents of the outrageous steampunk style (a direction of science fiction that simulates a civilization that has perfectly mastered the mechanics and technologies of steam engines) are big fans of shocking the public with strange art objects, stylizing them as the era of the British Queen Victoria (1837–1901). They claim to draw inspiration for their work from the works of Jules Verne and H. G. Wells. Therefore, the participants of the steampunk movement from the Hibernian Academy of Unnatural Sciences (California) built their already world-famous motor home called Neverwas Haul in 2006 in the Victorian spirit. At 7.3m long, 3.7m wide and 7.3m high, the self-propelled, three-story building looks like it's straight out of an old black and white photograph, mounted on a five-wheeled trailer and made from 75% recycled materials and equipment. One misfortune: for passionate admirers of steam, the entire structure is still driven by a diesel engine. But the authors of the project dream of replacing it with a real steam engine over time. Inside the “house that never was”, only objects and mechanisms of the second half of the 19th century are placed: original or replicas. An unusual vehicle with fanciful turrets, steam pipes, balconies, a veranda-bridge, stairs, loudspeakers of the century before last travels to various festivals, shows and fairs. In addition, anyone can rent it for weddings, dinner parties and other special occasions.

4. Gypsy. Roam in comfort

Gypsy Caravan by George Crawford

Gypsy horse-drawn carts served as dwellings for their owners for hundreds of years. Their romantic nomadic look continues to inspire some of today's motorists. For example, the American George Crawford, an archaeologist by profession, built a house on wheels on the chassis of a cargo trailer, stylized as a gypsy wagon, with his own hands. To do this, he needed a wagon board, plywood, metal profiles, fasteners, fittings, and, most importantly, several months of hard work. The whole process of work is . Inside a small room with two windows, there is everything necessary for the life of two or three people: a bunk bed with a pull-out table, a stove, numerous lockers and shelves. The house is warm and practical. George has repeatedly tested his strength on long trips. Although outwardly his brainchild, of course, looks rather ascetic when compared with the bright, even somewhat arrogant creations of the Dutchman Kees Hoekstra. A graphic designer and illustrator from Amsterdam created the Roulottes Gypsy Caravans company in 1992 to restore, design and build gypsy caravans equipped with all the comforts of civilization. Since then, eighty of his handmade masterpieces have spread to different countries of the world, and the number of people who want to buy them does not dry out.

5. Curious. From heaven to earth

Could the creators of the Douglas DC-3 suspect how famously the fate of one of these aircraft could change? In 1947, while flying over the northern territory in Australia, a plane crash occurred due to the ignition of an electrical wiring. Thanks to the skill of the pilot, all passengers on board survived. But the plane itself was less fortunate - the decommissioned car was sent to Brisbane.

Douglas DC-3 bodied aircraft camper and current owner Werner Kroll

There, at the Douglas junkyard, the resourceful Bill Chater, a simple ship's pipe fitter, liked it. In 1950, a craftsman in his workshop installed a cut-off aircraft fuselage on a trailer truck chassis, turning it into a stylish camper. For many years, Bill traveled in his autoplane on the roads of Australia, surprising everyone around. After the death of the owner, the unique mobile home, already in a rather shabby form, was inherited by his friend Werner Kroll. In 1993, Werner decided to return the car to its original appearance and took up its restoration, spending two whole years on it. Now the ennobled van, in which even a pianola has appeared, again plows the expanses of the Green Continent, causing general delight.

6. Floating. Amphibious trailer

The German company Sealander from Kiel has developed an unusual floating trailer. In its normal state, this camper serves as a traditional resting place on the road. But if you attach a small electric outboard motor to it and launch it into the water, then it immediately turns into a mini-boat or, as its creators proudly call it, a yacht for boat trips and fishing. The draft of the ultra-light, waterproof hull in the water is only 38 cm. Anyone over 16 years old can drive the autoboat. The total length of the Sealander floating trailer is 4.06 m, the width is 1.68 m and the height is 1.89 m. The maximum weight is 550 kg. The maximum load on the water is 410 kg. There are six seats on two benches. After the transformation, they turn into a single large sleeping space. Interestingly, in order to legally operate an amphibious trailer according to EU standards, it must be registered twice, first as a caravan trailer weighing up to 750 kg, and then as a sports boat.

The base price of a floating motorhome starts from 15,118 euros. Well, then, as the Germans love, everything - up to colored curtains and a set of bath towels - is offered for a fee. If you add here such necessary options as a stove, sink, heater, refrigerator, audio system, toilet, shower and additional electrical equipment, then the price easily overcomes the mark of 20 thousand euros. Although this, of course, is not so much compared to the cost of Cool Amphibious Manufacturers International LLC's posh American amphibious camper Terra Wind, which is priced at over $1.2 million.

7. Miniature. Two-wheeled baby

Londoner Yannick Reid has created the world's smallest caravan, the QTvan. His achievement is officially registered in the 60th anniversary edition of the Guinness Book of Records for 2015. The length of the residential trailer is 2.39 m, the width is 0.79 m, and the height is 1.53 m. With a weight of 131.1 kg, a two-wheeled baby is towed by a four-wheeled electric scooter. Yannick has already logged quite a few miles testing his mobile home and claims it can comfortably endure the rigors of the road if necessary. Despite the tiny size of the mini caravan, it incredibly fits a full-size single bed, a 19-inch TV, bookshelves, a bar, a kettle and a set of kitchen utensils. All for £5,500. Optional rooftop solar panels, satellite dish, game console, heating system and external luggage rack are also available.

8. Giant. monster on wheels

But the world's largest caravan was recorded in an earlier edition of the Guinness Book of Records, released in 1993. It was commissioned by Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, a member of the UAE's ruling royal family. The length of the five-story ship of the desert with a balcony and an open terrace under the roof, built by Speed House Group of Companies (UAE), reaches 20 m, width and height are 12 m.

For life and travel car-mobile house

This caravan is a hybrid of a trailer and a car. Trailers from Teardrop have long been popular because of their compactness, lightness and attractive design. Therefore, it is not surprising that a successful model was taken as the basis for a hybrid house with a micro area.

The building on wheels has many features that save energy and improve the indoor climate.

Second floor windows open for ventilation

The area of the van, which the owner nicknamed "tiny drops" of 14 m2, is considered the average size among analogues. The builders themselves comment that their creation consists entirely of heat-saving technologies that use both rain and sun to create a unique microclimate inside the house.

The outer coating is non-toxic and vehicle combustion emissions are neutralized. Therefore, people who are inside the van, even when driving, breathe clean air. Visitors to the Tiny Drop Nationwide Tour traveling in this van can take a closer look at the interior details. The room is divided into zones, one working and dining room, another kitchen and a place to relax.

Cooking on the first floor

During the day they also rest on the ground floor.

The fairly spacious bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. This structure of the bathroom is much more successful than in other cramped bathrooms.

Not so small bathroom

A staircase leads to the second floor. The small bedroom has two large windows that open outwards. Through them, the sun illuminates the room well, the air is easily ventilated, and at night you can admire the sky.

Bedroom and unusual windows

The hybrid van has the ability to filter its own water. Energy is produced by solar photovoltaic panels on the roof, if necessary, you can connect to the Internet. This wonderful, eco-friendly and functional lodge is currently traveling.

Description of all types of motorhomes.

trailed

For this model of motorhome, the link is considered to be a trailer. This option involves stationary rest and minimal road traffic. Thanks to a wide range of models, it is possible to choose a suitable trailer motorhome that has the desired dimensions and functionality.

The photo shows a compact trailer-type motorhome.

trailer tent

It is a self-assembly tent. There is no insulation in the trailer, so it is suitable for recreation only in the warm season. In the assembled state, the dimensions of the structure are no more than 1 meter.

The trailer houses sleeping places, and other auxiliary areas are under the awning. The motorhome trailer-tent is sometimes also equipped with a stove, sink or heater.

The advantages of such a motorhome are that it is mobile, small in size and low in price, unlike other campers.

The disadvantages include a small capacity of no more than 4 people and the need to constantly unfold and assemble the awning in case of a stop.

Pictured is a motorhome with a large tent.

Residential trailer

Mobile housing equipped with a toilet, shower, heater, necessary furniture and appliances. Another name is trailer-cottage.

Advantages of a caravan: the structure can be disconnected at any time and continue driving. The trailer-dacha has a low price and provides an opportunity to save money on living in a motel.

The disadvantages are the presence of poor maneuverability, as well as low speed from 80 to 90 kilometers per hour. You cannot stay in it while driving on the road, and many cities in Europe do not allow trailers to enter.

Motorhome or camper

A model in the form of a hybrid that combines housing and a vehicle. Such a motorhome on the outside is an ordinary bus or minivan, inside of which a whole apartment is equipped. Even small varieties of campers are equipped with a TV, satellite dish, bike racks and more.

When driving, all communications function at the expense of an auto-accumulator, and during parking - from external electrical sources.

Alcove motorhomes

The distinguishing features of a motor home include a superstructure located above the driver's cab. This alcove is supposed to accommodate an additional double bed. The motorhome can accommodate up to seven people.

In the manufacture of a residential module with walls, floor and roof, panels are used that improve thermal insulation. In addition, such a living unit is wider than a standard minibus, which allows you to increase the interior space of an alcove motorhome.

The advantages of this model is that it can differ in a large number of planning solutions. The presence of a cozy and warm double bed, which can be closed with curtains, is also an advantage.

Disadvantages: The motorhome has a peculiar appearance, poor maneuverability and has a high height, which will make it difficult to drive in some places.

The photo shows an example of an alcove-type mobile home with a canopy.

Integrated houses

Belongs to premium and business class campers. Outwardly it looks like a bus with a driver's cab and a body part of an individual configuration. Since the cab of the car is integrated with the living module, the interior space is increased. The capacity of such a motorhome is from 4 to 8 people.

For the production of semi-integrated models, a serial chassis is used, on which the living compartment is mounted. The most popular motorhome brands are Ford, Fiat, Renault, Mercedes and many others.

Pros: due to the side and panoramic windshield, a good overview opens up, sufficient capacity, the higher the speed, the lower the fuel costs.

residential minivans

They are a residential minibus that has a high roof. Due to their compactness, they are considered the most highly maneuverable of all types of motorhomes.

The van of the Kastenvagen assumes the presence of a living compartment with the necessary equipment and furniture items. Due to lack of space, a bathroom is rarely built in. Basically, a minivan can only fit two people. Kastenvagen can act as an ordinary minivan in everyday life, and at the weekend turn into a comfortable camper.

Advantages: good maneuverability, the possibility of daily use as a standard car.

disadvantages: little living space, small capacity, insufficiently high level of thermal insulation.

The photo shows a motor home in the form of a residential minivan.

Advantages and disadvantages

The positives and negatives of life and travel in a trailer.

pros Minuses

No need to depend on travel agencies, worry about buying train or plane tickets and spend money on a hotel room.

High price.
The need to obtain a category E license.

Rest becomes more comfortable because at any time you can cook or take a shower.

High fuel consumption.

Camping is not offered in all countries.

The motorhome is not real estate, so living in it does not require payment of property tax. Not all campers are suitable for off-road driving.
Easy purchase and fast sale. Living in an apartment there is a problem with storing a motorhome on wheels.

Photo of the interior inside the house

The layout of a motorhome most often provides for the presence of a bedroom, a kitchen, dining segment and a bathroom. Depending on the area of the residential module, the elements are located in different rooms or in the same room. Below are photos showing the inside of the camper.

Bed in a motorhome

Allocate separate and transforming beds. The first type is a stationary bed for one or two people, which occupies the aft part of the motorhome.

The photo shows a double bed inside a motorhome.

The sleeping place-transformer is a folding sofa or armchairs from the dining group, turning into a double bed.

The photo shows a tent trailer on wheels with a folding bed.

Cooking and eating area

A full-fledged area includes a gas stove, a sink, a built-in refrigerator, a separate freezer, as well as shelves and drawers for storing utensils.

Near the stove there are sockets 230 volts. Electricity is supplied only if the mobile home is connected to the network. The refrigerator can operate from the mains, battery or gas.

The kitchen block can be angular or linear. The location of the kitchen is supposed to be in the stern or along any of the sides.

The photo shows the design of the kitchen and dining area in a trailer on wheels.

bathroom

The only separate room, equipped with a sink, shower and dry closet. A small camper may not have a shower cabin.

What does the house look like from the outside?

A simple look has a motorhome trailer, which is easy to do with your own hands. Due to the skills of working with welding machines, an ordinary old trailer can become a tourist camper on wheels for traveling in comfort.

An equally ideal option is a motorhome based on a Gazelle minibus. The car has an optimally sized body, which allows you to get a roomy living compartment.

The photo shows the appearance of a motorhome on wheels based on a truck.

For the off-road mobile home, Kamaz is used. Thanks to a capacious body, the organization of several rooms is possible inside. The only drawback is that the truck is not designed to carry people, so you will need to additionally sheathe and insulate the wall and ceiling structures.

A number of nuances:

  • To organize the light, the motorhome must be equipped with a battery and a control panel for supplying electricity.
  • You can heat a motorhome using several types of heaters, for example, autonomous or gas. It is better to give preference to a gas cylinder, which can be used for cooking at the same time.
  • An important point in the arrangement of the camper is the general ventilation system. An extractor hood should also be installed in the kitchen area above the stove.
  • A motor home should be equipped with compact pieces of furniture. Folding wall-mounted structures, folding beds, retractable tables and other elements are suitable.

A selection of unusual houses

There are cool and exclusive mobile homes that are highly functional and comfortable. Such models are a luxury item. They have a spacious living space and a saloon finished with the finest types of materials. Expensive motorhomes are equipped with modern video and audio equipment, solar panels, a retractable terrace and a fireplace, as well as a bar and a jacuzzi. In the lower part of some houses, there is a cargo compartment and an automatic platform for placing a car.

An interesting solution is a floating motorhome. When attached to an electric motor trailer, it turns into a boat or a miniature boat for fishing and water trips.

The photo shows a floating house on wheels, combined with a boat.

The largest mobile home is a five-story ship, made especially for an Arab sheikh to travel through the desert. The caravan has a balcony, a terrace, 8 bedrooms with private bathrooms, 4 car garages, and a 24,000 liter water tank.

The mobile home will appeal to those who prefer self-planning vacation. Motorhomes, equipped with all the necessary items, involve traveling with an unlimited route.

Traveling is always cool! Adventures, new places, acquaintances. But only one thing overshadows the upcoming vacation - the collection of things. You never know what you'll need, so you take whatever you can stuff into your suitcase. It would be great to travel without leaving home, or rather with him!

For this, resourceful people have adapted motorhomes or motorhomes. Every traveler's dream! We will tell you below which one is better to choose for the upcoming trip.

Kinds

There used to be one option - I took a horse, hitched a cart and went wandering. This is not a joke - before the advent of cars, circus artists, gypsies, nomads, moved only in this way (by the way, it was they who began to use “motorhomes”). There was no dwelling and everything needed was placed in a wagon.

Cars have not only made life easier, but also made travel more convenient. Now motorhomes for every taste and budget:

trailed - a dwelling is attached to the transport using a trailer

motorhomes or campers - accommodation is located in the cabin of the vehicle

Let's look at each in more detail.

trailed

Here is the link trailer. Such motorhomes are divided depending on what we attach to the car - a tent or a residential trailer (trailer).

trailer tent

The name speaks for itself - a tent is attached to the car, which must be assembled and disassembled at each stop.

There are extremely simple designs that only create a canopy and provide people with sleeping places. But there are much more advanced trailers that combine: a sleeping area, furniture, lighting, kitchen equipment.

The following brands of tent trailers are known on the domestic market: Skif, Picnic, Kupava, Viking, Camp-Let.

Residential trailer

Here you can at least put together a house and attach it to a car. It looks like a full-fledged dwelling with a bathroom, shower, heaters, necessary furniture and several rooms. It is also called a trailer-dacha - Europeans like to go on vacation to the seashore or to the mountains in them.

There are completely different sizes - it all depends on the imagination and needs of the owner.

Benefits of using a caravan:

1. At any time, you can unhook the trailer and move on in your usual vehicle.

2. Low cost compared to motorhomes.

3. You can save on accommodation.

Disadvantages of using a trailer:

1.Low speed of movement on the road (no more than 80-90 km/h).

2. Poor maneuverability.

3. Many European cities do not allow caravans to enter.

4. When driving in a trailer, it is forbidden for passengers to be.

Motorhomes (campers)

Every traveler's dream! A compact apartment on wheels - you live and drive with all the amenities.

A camper is a hybrid of housing and vehicle. From the outside they look like a bus or minivan, but inside they look like an apartment or a studio. There are sleeping places, a kitchen, a shower, a toilet. Even the smallest camper model can be equipped with a TV, coffee machine, satellite dish, bike racks, etc.

During the movement, the conveniences are powered by a car battery, while parking - on gas or from an external source of electricity (in campsites).

Campers are: alcove, integrated and residential minivans (kastenvageny).

Alcove motorhomes

A distinctive feature is the superstructure above the driver's roof (alcove), which accommodates an additional double bed. The capacity of such houses is up to 7 people.

The entire structure of the residential module (walls, floor and roof) is made at the factory from special sandwich panels, which improves the thermal insulation of the motorhome. In addition, the living unit is much wider than a standard minibus, which increases the interior space of the motorhome.

$ Price - from 1 to 5 million rubles.

Integrated

Such motorhomes look like buses and differ in their individual design. Individual design has not only the main body, but also the cabin of the car.

Refers to premium or business class campers, as manufacturers complete models at the highest level. Due to the complexity of construction, the price for them is higher and produced in smaller quantities.

The driver's cab is fully connected (integrated) with the living compartment, so there is a lot of free space inside. The motorhome of such a plan can accommodate from 4-8 people.

$ The price of the new model is from 1 to 10 million rubles.

Residential minivans (kastenvagens)

In fact, it is a residential minibus with a high roof. Due to its small size, it is the most maneuverable on the road of all types of motorhomes.

In the van of the kastenvagen there is only a living compartment with the necessary furniture and equipment. The bathroom is rarely built in - there is too little space. Designed for 2 people.

$ Price - from 1 to 2 million rubles.

General layout

In most cases, the layout of the motorhome includes: sleeping places, a dining room, a kitchen area and a bathroom. Depending on the size of the interior space, these elements can be placed in the same room or in different rooms.

Dining room

The dining room is the main difference between a motorhome and other vehicles. It has a removable table and sofas around its perimeter, which can easily be used as extra beds.

Usually in left-hand drive motorhomes, where the entrance door to the salon is located on the right, the location of the classic dining room is on the port side. Two chairs are located across the table opposite each other or around the table in a semicircle.

Sleeping places

Sleeping places can be both separate and transformable. The former include stationary double or single beds, located, as a rule, in the aft part of motorhomes.

Transformable beds are folding sofas or beds formed during the layout of the dining group. A classic option when dining chairs transform into a double bed.

Kitchen

A full-fledged kitchen unit is a gas stove with 2 or 4 burners, a kitchen sink (on the same worktop as the stove), a refrigerator built into the furniture (single or with a separate freezer), cutlery boxes.

There are always several outlets next to the stove. They can be from 2 to 3 pieces. The mains voltage is 230 V. The power supply system functions only if the camper is connected to the mains using an extension cord.
Refrigerator is powered from the mains or from a battery. Some models of caravans on wheels allow you to connect a refrigerator to gas.

The kitchen area is complemented by upper shelves above the countertop. The kitchen unit can be located on either side or in the stern. The kitchen can be straight or angular.

bathroom

The c/a combines a shower, a washbasin and a dry closet and is the only room allocated to a separate room. Smaller motorhomes may not have a shower cabin.

Interior design options

Interior design in motorhomes can be anything. It all depends on its area and type, on the taste and preferences of travelers. Here's how to furnish your motorhome in style and comfort.

trailer motorhome

In a wooden motorhome with an area of 9 sq. m and a height of 240 cm has everything you need: a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom. The house is made of lightweight natural materials - the facade and interior are made of oiled pine wood, and the floor is made of lightweight birch plywood. One of the facades is completely glass, so there is always light in the van.

Inside there is a sofa that converts into a bed, cabinets and drawers above and below the bed.

The kitchen has a small worktop, sink, electric oven and refrigerator.

You need to connect to electricity in campsites using a regular outlet - there is a switchboard in the van.

house bus

Its advantage is dimensions, so such a motorhome can be divided into several residential areas: an office, a kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom, a bedroom, a living room and even a garage.

There are solar modules on the roof, LED wiring, ventilation and a water heater. When the batteries are low, you can cook on the gas stove. The walls of the motorhome are insulated with a modern insulator so that you can travel comfortably in winter. Light wood interior.

The kitchen is spacious enough for an ordinary motorhome and is designed for two people. A deep sink, two-burner stove, microwave, refrigerator and built-in cabinets sit on a long wooden countertop.

Not all motorhomes have a separate living room. Here it consists of a large sofa, armchairs and a separate dining table.

There are even two workplaces with computers, drawers, sockets and a system unit. Everything is thought out and comfortable.

The bedroom is a large double bed located at the rear of the bus on a raised platform.

Above the headboard are two lamps and several wooden bookshelves. The highlight is a small glass hatch on the ceiling.

House trailer from the 70s

The interior is made in soothing white and gray tones, bright accents - curtains and bed linen with a floral pattern characteristic of the 70s.

The motorhome is very bright due to the large number of windows.

The trailer has a kitchen (white illuminated kitchen unit, two sinks, oven, stove and large refrigerator).

Dining room (dark wood table, two sofas that convert into a full double bed and a crystal chandelier on the ceiling).

Bedroom (two beds, built-in cabinets near the ceiling, two large windows on both walls).

Very cozy and bright house for travel.

American luxury classic

While Europeans produce motorhomes with minimal standard equipment, Americans create additional amenities - air conditioners, CD-audio systems, TVs, full-sized toilets and showers. For Americans, comfort is the first item on a journey.

They invented a system of sliders (retractable walls) to increase the living space of motorhomes. In many cases, this design increases the final cost of the motorhome.

Many important details have been thought of. For example, the sink (there are two of them, as in all kitchens in the USA) closes at the top, which turns the counter into a large table, convenient for cooking. The plate is also closed with a lid.

All stoves are gas, for 3-4 burners, with an oven and do not differ from home stoves. In the morning, the coffee maker will make coffee, toast will pop out of the toaster, the dishwasher will wash the cups, and you can have breakfast and watch your favorite show on TV. Like in a normal apartment.

The living room is primarily a cozy space for communication. Usually a wide sofa, a pair of armchairs, a chest of drawers, a plasma TV with a satellite dish are installed.

The dining room is designed mainly for four people who can accommodate at a large panoramic window. Under the seats is a storage space. At night, the dining area can be transformed into a comfortable bed for two.

In luxury motorhomes, the center of the bedroom is a spacious bed with bedside tables and built-in drawers for storing linen, a plasma TV. The minimum width of any bed is 90 cm, the maximum width is 200 cm or more.

The bathroom is in a separate room. There is a toilet on one side and a shower on the other. The bathroom area is ventilated. All plumbing is chrome plated. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and heated floors.

Here it is, the American dream in all beauty.

If you are still thinking about what to go to conquer the open spaces, then just weigh all the pros and cons of traveling by motorhome. To do this, we have prepared this table:
