Owl from m / f Winnie the Pooh crochet.
Let's supplement our company of Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore the Donkey and Rabbit with another character from this wonderful cartoon. Let's tie the Owl :) The owl is the personification of wisdom and the living embodiment of correct spelling, in moments of reflection Winnie is his assistant in composing congratulations. Many, including myself, when writing the word “free of charge” often remember the character of the Owl and painfully think how many letters “D” should be in this word :)

To create an Owl you will need:

  • Yarn Kamteks "Bambino" (35% merino wool, 65% acrylic, 50g / 150m) of the following colors: dark chocolate for the body (almost the entire skein is consumed) and linen (half a skein is consumed), dark beige for the eyes (small consumption);
  • Trinity yarn "Krokha" (20% wool, 80% acrylic, 50g / 135m) color "Mallow" (for a hat, a small consumption of yarn);
  • Small skeins of yarn for the beak and eyes;
  • Hook 1.4 for the whole Owl and 1.5 for the hat;
    Filler (synthetic winterizer / synthetic winterizer / holofiber to choose from);
  • Needle with a blunt end for stitching;
  • Ribbons for decoration.

The height of the Owl is about 16 cm, the wingspan is 25 cm. The figure of the Owl is somewhat reminiscent of the figure of Winnie the Pooh - a voluminous body that smoothly flows into the head. An owl can stand on its own due to its tail. All details (with the exception of the wings) are knitted together in a circle (in a spiral), the details of the wings are knitted in turning rows using the “snake” or “back and forth” method. The figure of the Owl is quite simple, but there are a lot of details. The description is written from the head.

Owl crochet, job description

Let's start knitting with the largest detail - the body-head. Due to the fact that the Owl is two-colored (half dark, half light), when knitting, I had to deal with the question: how to make sure that the yarn change occurs vertically, without shifting to the side, as is usually the case when knitting in a spiral.

I solved this question with the help of a single crochet, which is knitted “into a split”, i.e. the hook is inserted not under the two upper walls, but in the middle of the single crochet.

  • interesting selection on the site !!!
  • An introductory article on amigurumi knitting. Basic tricks and simple toys.

This method is also called "ticks", because. connected rows are similar to the Latin V. Thus, the first single crochet is knitted “into a split” with each change of thread. This method does not give a 100% result, the work still mows a little, but in comparison with ordinary spiral knitting it looks much straighter. Due to the fact that the body and head will be made with two threads of different colors, it will be necessary to fix the non-working thread in the course of knitting the working one. In other words, in order to prevent long broaches, it will be necessary to fix the non-working thread several times according to the jacquard principle. If you make long broaches, when stuffing, the toy may shrink and deform.

We take the yarn of the color "Linen":
1 row: linen 6 sc in the amigurumi ring
add yarn "Dark Chocolate" (hereinafter - t.sh.)
2 row: linen 3 increments (6), t.sh. 3 increments (6), total (12)
3 row: linen * 1 sbn inc * 3 times (9), t.sh. * 1 sc inc * 3 times (9), total (18)
4 row: linen * 2 sbn inc * 3 times (12), t.sh. * 2 sc inc * 3 times (12), total (24)
5 row: linen * 3 sbn inc * 3 times (15), t.sh. * 3 sc inc * 3 times (15), total (30)
6 row: linen * 4 sbn inc * 3 times (18), t.sh. * 4 sc inc * 3 times (18), total (36)
7 row: linen * 5 sbn inc * 3 times (21), t.sh. * 5 sc inc * 3 times (21), total (42)
8 row: flax * 6 sbn inc * 3 times (24), t.sh. * 6 sc inc * 3 times (24), total (48)
9 row: linen * 7 sbn inc * 3 times (27), t.sh. * 7 sc inc * 3 times (27), total (54)
10 row: flax * 8 sbn inc * 3 times (30), t.sh. * 8 sc inc * 3 times (30), total (60)
11 row: linen * 9 sbn inc * 3 times (33), t.sh. * 9 sc inc * 3 times (33), total (66)
12 row: linen * 10 sbn inc * 3 times (36), t.sh. * 10 sc inc * 3 times (36), total (72)
13-28 rows: 72 sc in each row
29 row: linen * 10 sb dec * 3 times (33), t.sh. * 10 sc dec * 3 times (33), total (66)
30 row: linen * 9 sc dec * 3 times (30), t.sh. * 9 sc dec * 3 times (30), total (60)
31 row: linen * 8 sc dec * 3 times (27), t.sh. * 8 sc dec * 3 times (27), total (54)
32 row: linen * 7 sb dec * 3 times (24), t.sh. * 7 sc dec * 3 times (24), total (48)
33 row: flax * 7 sbn inc * 3 times (27), t.sh. * 7 sc inc * 3 times (27), total (54)
34 row: flax * 8 sbn inc * 3 times (30), t.sh. * 8 sc inc * 3 times (30), total (60)
35-48 rows: 60 sc in each row
starting from the 49th row we knit only with a dark thread (dark chocolate)
49 row: * 8 sc dec * 6 times (54)
50 row: * 7 sc dec * 6 times (48)
51 row: * 6 sc dec * 6 times (42) - start stuffing the body with filler
52 row: * 5 sc dec * 6 times (36)
53 row: * 4 sc dec * 6 times (30)
54 row: * 3 sc dec * 6 times (24) - stuff your head
55 row: * 2 sc dec * 6 times (18)
56 row: * 1 sc dec * 6 times (12)
57 row: 6 decreases to close knitting, fasten the thread.
We got the preparation of the future Owl.

Let's tie her wings. The wing consists of 2 parts, outer dark and inner light. Each part consists of four separately connected feathers, combined with each other.

Upper (long) nib:
1 row: cast on 14 air loops, then knit 13 sc, starting from the second loop from the hook
2nd row: 2 air lifting loops, 12 half double crochets, * 3 half double crochets in one loop * 2 times, 13 half double crochets, close knitting, cut the thread
The knitting pattern for the longest feather is attached. The rest of the feathers are knitted in the same way.

Second pen:
1 row: cast on 13 air loops, then knit 12 sc, starting from the second loop from the hook
2nd row: 2 air lifting loops, 11 half double crochets, * 3 half double crochets in one loop * 2 times, 12 half double crochets, close knitting, cut the thread

Third feather:
1 row: cast on 12 air loops, then knit 11 sc, starting from the second loop from the hook
2 row: 2 lifting air loops, 10 half double crochets, * 3 half double crochets in one loop * 2 times, 11 half double crochets, close the knitting, cut the thread.

Fourth feather:
1 row: cast on 11 air loops, then knit 10 sc, starting from the second loop from the hook
2 row: 2 chain lifts, 9 half double crochets, *3 half double crochets in one loop * 2 times, 10 half double crochets, do not cut the thread, it will come in handy for joining the feathers into the wing.

When combined, we knit 4 sbn for each feather, for a total we get 16 sbn, then we knit in turning rows back and forth, making an air lift loop at the beginning of each row. Thus, after the connection, we knit 4 more rows of 16 sbn each, then we do a decrease on each side, 14 sbn remain and we knit 4 more rows of 14 sbn each.

The whole company from the cartoon "Winnie the Pooh" is assembled.

Winnie the Pooh is the character that is familiar to many. Most of him is known for the cartoon of the same name since Soviet times. However, in addition to this hero, both in the book and in the cartoon you can meet no less charismatic characters.

The rabbit from Winnie the Pooh is one of them. He's not very funny, quite the opposite. However, it is bright and memorable. And many of his phrases from the cartoon still stuck. However, the original version, which was written by Alan Milne, differs significantly in some points from the familiar to many stories about a cute bear.

Cartoon "Winnie the Pooh and all-all-all ..."

The cartoon in question was created in 1969. It should be noted that the author of the work is Alan Milne. Winnie the Pooh is not a Russian character at all. However, this teddy bear was to everyone's taste. Cartoons were filmed on it, books adapted for a specific country were written. This is what happened in the USSR.

The animators approached the story with all seriousness, and soon the teddy bear and his friends became familiar to everyone. The images of the heroes were drawn as close as possible to the Russian spirit. Therefore, Winnie came out a bumpkin, but kind and affectionate, Piglet - shy. However, in our version, Piglet fights fear and never leaves Winnie alone in trouble. The bear himself is sure that in order to achieve a lot, you need to work hard. That's why he writes songs.

"Winnie the Pooh": characters

The main characters from "Winnie the Pooh" include:

Differences between the original and Zakhoder's story

Boris Zakhoder is the father of that Winnie the Pooh, who is known in Russia. The fact is that he undertook to translate the work written by Alan Milne. But the writer got so carried away that he rewrote a lot of things, and even removed some points altogether. Part of history began to be understood in a different light, closer to our people.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the original work and its translation differ from each other, sometimes significantly. An interesting fact is that many got acquainted with the original Winnie the Pooh only thanks to the series from the Disney company. It also made it clear that the stories were different. In addition to appearance, the characters differed in character.

In the original work, Winnie is a living bear. However, he has a very small brain. In our version, he has sawdust in his head. In the book, not only the main character named Winnie the Pooh is constantly present. Characters that are secondary are found on the pages of the book regularly.

Also, according to Milne, Owl is a male character. The only female character in the book is Kanga. Therefore, the heroes at first meet her warily. Also, the Owl in Milne's version only sometimes uses clever phrases that she does not always understand. In Zakhoder's version, this is an elderly lady, to whom everyone goes for advice.

Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" - the main features

And now let's take a closer look at the image of the most reasonable hero in this cycle of stories. The rabbit from Winnie the Pooh is a charismatic character. He is extremely rational and can find a reasonable explanation for everything. According to Zakhoder's version of the book, when Winnie got stuck in his house, he adapted his legs for a towel dryer. This suggests that the rabbit from the fairy tale "Winnie the Pooh" is not such a pessimist. He finds a way out of any situation.

By temperament, he is a typical choleric. The rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" is a mobile hero. If you remember the cartoon, you can pay attention to how he adjusts his glasses. All his movements are jerky. He seems to be unable to stand still, moving all the time, doing something.

Also Rabbit is a real leader. He strives to always be at the head of any company. He tries to be in charge, to manage people. He also owns many plans, for example, to tame the Tigers. Not all of his plans turn out to be useful, but this does not stop him.

Rabbit's Dwelling

The House of the Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh is a different story. He is really a home, a lair - a place that the Rabbit loves. He doesn't let anyone in. This is also due to the fact that the Rabbit is also a cautious character.

In the Rabbit's house, everything is in relative order. There is also a kitchen with supplies, and a bedroom. The entrance to the hole, namely the name of the Rabbit's house, is a hole. In front of it is a rug on which guests must wipe their feet. This speaks of the extreme cleanliness of the character.

If you recall the cartoon, it will become clear that the Rabbit is patient, but he will not be silent. After Winnie ate almost all the stocks, the Rabbit did not remain silent, but said the catchphrase "Someone is eating a lot!". Here it is clear that the hero is a good and hospitable host. His house has everything for unexpected visitors.

Rabbit in the original version

If we compare the version of Zakhoder and Milne, we can see a number of differences. The rabbit in the original is clearly a misanthrope. He loves peace. Of course, he is always on the move, for example, looking after his garden. But he clearly does not like it when his order is changed. Therefore, most of all he does not like the Tiger - active and restless.

The Rabbit treats the rest of the characters evenly. They are not so cross to him as the Tiger. Unlike Owl, he really knows a lot, and does not try to seem smarter. This is probably why he sometimes looks like an arrogant hero. However, in reality, the Rabbit is kind, albeit sometimes capricious.

Hundred Acre Forest and Its Inhabitants

Milne settled Christopher Robin, a bear, a rabbit, a pig, and other characters in the Wonderful Forest. This is where the main action of these stories takes place. And the Forest itself is a magical place for play, children's fantasies and creative flight. The characters take on a life of their own. Time freezes in this Wonderful Forest. This is Milne's masterful portrayal of the long stretch of early childhood. No wonder one of the stories characteristically begins with the sentence: “A long time ago, it seems, last Friday…”

Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh"

If the Little Bear from a fairy tale is just a symbol of optimism and epicureanism, then the Rabbit is the embodiment of practicality and caution. Take, for example, the well-known episode when Winnie comes to visit the character, and he replies that "there is absolutely no one at home." The rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" also uses the legs of the stuck Bear to dry clothes, waiting for him to lose weight. By the way, according to this hero of the tale, he is one of the two inhabitants of the forest who have brains (the rest have cotton wool). It is for this reason, perhaps, that the Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh considers himself a very important person. He loves orderliness in everything, he gets very angry when someone does something wrong, not according to the rules specified by him. The garden is the most important thing for him. Digging in the ground, he devotes his main time. In Winnie the Pooh, the character first appears in a chapter when the bear cub comes to visit.

In 1971, Soyuzmultfilm created another magnificent work about the Hundred Acre Forest - "Winnie the Pooh Comes to Visit", which has rightfully become a classic of the genre. The talented translation and original poems by Boris Zakhoder, the brilliant voice acting of the characters, the ability to highlight the main thing and manage to say it in the short time of the cartoon - all this became the key to the success of the tape. The rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" (Soviet version) is the main character of this film. According to the plot, Pooh and Piglet come to visit the Rabbit, and the bear cub, having eaten food, gets stuck at the exit from the hole. But what to tell - you have to look at it! In general, with the main plot preserved, this cartoon can be considered as an independent highly artistic work based on Milne's fairy tale (approximately, as in the story of Pinocchio and Pinocchio).

Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh (Disney version)

The Disney series of cartoons is more full-length and, so to speak, close to the original (at least in the first series). As always, the characters are well drawn and Christopher Robin is present as one of the main characters (which is not in Soviet cartoons). But this is rather a film adaptation than an original work, although children and adults of all ages also like it in many ways.

Owl from the cartoon about Winnie the Pooh knitted

Let's remember the wonderful cartoon about Winnie and his friends. One of these friends was undoubtedly Owl. Or rather, Sava - so it was written on the plate of her house.

And there were signs like: PRASHU PADERGAT AND WAITING FOR AN ANSWER. SAVA

PLEASE KNOCK IF THEY DO NOT ATTEND. SAVA

For some reason, Pooh thought that Owl was very smart.

I really hope that my Sava will remind you of this cartoon of our childhood. She is connected with knitting needles. Height is 33cm.

A master class is being prepared.

Quote from the cartoon: /* Owl came */

Congratulations, Eeyore. I heard it's your birthday today. It's true?

Yes, a real birthday. So many gifts!

So. Dear Eeyore! On this momentous day, I want to give you a free...

I'm sorry, what?

Shut up, Pooh!

Sorry, I just wanted to know, without what?

Free of charge! That is a gift.

Ah, a gift. Clear.

/* Eeyore immediately realized that this was a string for a reason */

To give you a modest, but very useful gift for free. Here is the string.

Pooh, come here.

You can hang it on the door...

It seems to be him. Well, try it on, please.

What is it, what's the matter? I took it off my bell. What is it, I don't understand?

BUT! Tail found! The owl found the tail! /* And Pooh confirmed his guess */

My tail?

What's the matter?

My real own tail?

Well, of course!

BUT! Tail found! The owl found its tail!

What tail? Tail? What is it? It means I gave...

/* Winnie laughs first. Then came the Owl. Next Piglet. Well, then even Eeyore started laughing */

HA HA HA!

How good!

How good!

What a coincidence!

I found a pot for the ball!

And the tail is for your birthday.

And ya, and ya, and I have the same opinion!
