If such an operation did not help, it is necessary to transfer the loops to a new place by moving them to the side. You can try to make the nests of the loops deeper to drown them a little.

In some cases, door jamming occurs due to the settlement of the building. The door frame was warped and tilted slightly. The only way out of the situation is to create an angle of inclination corresponding to the angle of the frame.

Often it is enough to process the butt with a rasp right on the hinges. To remove a thick layer, the door must be removed from the hinges.

If the door touches the floor when opened

Perhaps this is due to the shrinkage of the door leaf. Correction of the position is similar to the operation of lubricating the door.

First, the steel door is propped up with a small wedge. In the open position, the canvas will begin to rise in the loops. Semi-rings of strong wire are inserted into the gap formed. When the half rings are inserted, they must be pressed with pliers until a ring is obtained. This must be done in such a way that the ring remains in place when the canvas closes or opens.

When the door began to close poorly, it is necessary to put carbon paper under it, and then close it. After opening, you can see the main cause of the problem that has arisen. If the tongue of the lock is located below the hole, it is necessary to check the strength of the fastening of the loop screws. Perhaps the subsidence was due to the fact that they were weakened.

If the actions taken did not lead to success, you need to remove the striker plate, and widen the holes with an ordinary file. After that, you can fix the bar in another place.

Displacement of the hinges, if the door is firmly in place, is not allowed. Sometimes you need to limit the opening of the door. For this, a strap is taken, which must be fixed at the top of the door directly to the jamb. The length of the strap is equal to the required opening length. When the door is closed, the strap will just hang down. To make the door close itself, you can install a door closer.
