Vaulted ceilings and ancient brickwork were cleared of sloppy and multi-layered plaster - a picturesque basis for the future decor turned out. “Semicircular ceilings are a purely Catalan story,” Natalia notes, “during construction, iron beams are placed on the walls and semicircular (vaulted) brick ceilings are attached to them. Cleaned of everything unnecessary, they have become an expressive element of the interior.

The layout of the apartment remained unchanged. They decided not to touch it in order to preserve the historical spirit and flavor of the place. But the humidity is very high, so in winter it is humid and dank here. “Since the time of industrialization, cast-iron batteries have been installed in apartments and heating has been carried out throughout the house,” says the designer. - We have carefully restored the old antique batteries so that they can be used for heating again. A geyser was installed in the kitchen, which heats water for the battery. And so that it does not spoil the view, I hid the column in ".

The owners of the apartment are great lovers of antiquity.
