Jungle speed which hand to grab the totem. Wild jungle (Jungle Speed). Packaging design and localization

One of the most popular board games in America and Europe, which has become a favorite game of many in our country, is "Jungle speed". The game got its name for its similarity with tropical thickets, the ringing silence of which is suddenly broken by wild screams or sudden movement. The picture is complemented by the appropriate design of all paraphernalia.

Game process

The main feature of the board game called Wild Jungle is that there are practically no restrictions on the number of participating players. The more people, the more difficult it is to control the maps. But remember - all the pictures should be located for everyone in direct line of sight, and in the center the sacred totem will definitely take the place of honor.

The main goal of Jungle Speed is to get rid of all the cards. Before the start of the game, each player is given a predetermined number of cards, the rest of the cards are placed on the table. Players cannot look at their cards yet. A totem is placed in the middle of the table. The cards that were dealt to the players, each of the participants in the game must put in a pile in front of him.

Each of the participants, in turn, during the game, turns over the top card lying in his pile and puts a card next to it, then puts the next card on top of it: thus, the player has a pile of open cards. You can turn cards over with only one hand, and you need to do this so that other players see the card first.

As soon as the moment comes when two players have open cards with the same symbols, the duel begins. Duelists must grab the totem as quickly as possible. Whoever manages to do this first becomes the winner in the duel, and the opponent takes all the open cards of the winner and the cards that lie under the totem, then puts them face down under his deck:

  • If the totem suddenly falls, and the reason for the fall is not clear, all open cards that all players have must be placed under the totem.
  • If a player mistakenly grabs the totem, then the player who made the mistake must take all the open cards from all players and the cards lying under the totem too.

There are also special cards in the game, which can lead to various changes in the rules. All these cards are described in detail in the instructions.

The winner of the game is the one who manages to get rid of all the cards in his hand first.

Jungle Speed board game rules

The rules of the game are very simple and do not require much time to learn. First, distribute the cards equally among all the players, put the remaining cards in the middle, put the totem on them - the preparatory stage is completed. All participants open the top card in turn, if the figure drawn on the card matches the already opened figure on the table - grab the totem faster! The player who grabbed the totem gives all open cards to his opponent in the past duel. The deck also contains special action cards that make the gameplay even more exciting and varied.

The rules of the Wild Jungle game are very simple, just a few minutes to master them and you are ready to play. The deck contains cards with different images. It is important for the player to see that one of the opponents and the player has similar options, while it is just necessary to quickly grab the figurines, ahead of the rest.

If you decide to buy the Wild Jungle board game, you will receive 80 pieces of game cards in the original ethnic design, a wooden "totem" in the set. The deck before the start of the round is divided among all participants equally. According to the rules of the game, all cards are stacked face down so that the players themselves cannot see their reserves. As soon as the "totem" appears in the center of the table, you can start. The goal of the board game Jungle Speed is to get rid of the available cards as quickly as possible, winning duels with your opponents. During the game, each of the participants turns over a card from their set in turn, puts it next to it. The card is opened "from itself", so that other players see it first. Immediately, as two players had cards with the same symbols open on the table - a duel. The battle ends in favor of the one who grabs the totem first.

The latecomer receives and puts all the open cards of the winner of the duel face down in his pile. The main difficulty of the game is the use of only one hand by each player. The cards are turned over with one hand, and the totem is grabbed by it in a duel. However, you should not rely only on the speed of reaction - the ornament of many cards is very similar, it is easy to confuse. A player who makes a mistake and grabs a totem just like that receives a fine - he takes open cards from all opponents.

Who is this game for?

Sleight of hand and quick reaction - these are the components of success in this game. Board games "Jungle speed / Wild jungle" are suitable for a youth company and family leisure. Until the last moment, the intrigue remains, because here you can lose absolutely in any fight. They bring a special revival and special cards, thanks to which all participants can be involved at the same time.

Wild Jungle is a board game that will surely appeal to all fans of the epic film about Indiana Jones, an archaeologist-adventurer. This is a dynamic, fun game where participants can not only guess opponents' cards, but even duel and steal valuable artifacts.

Wild Jungle guarantees everyone a storm of emotions and an adrenaline rush! This is a simple and fun game that requires quick reaction and attentiveness.

Relaxing with family or friends playing this game is a sweet thing!

Playing the Wild Jungle will surely attract more and more new players to your company of fans of this board game, who, at first only looking at the gameplay, so to speak, from the outside, will eventually get involved in the process themselves. And there is nothing surprising in this: it is really interesting and really capable of addictive, each new game becomes a kind of "active performance" that gamblers arrange for themselves. Wild Jungle is a board game that slowly draws you in and keeps you on your toes, causing a constant desire to clash again, despite its simplicity.

Among other things, the design of the game itself is beautiful, as is its equipment: in addition to stunning cards, players will see a beautiful bag for the components of the "jungle" set.

The game will give you an adrenaline rush and positive emotions!

Playing Wild Jungle will help you feel the spirit of adventure at home, in the office, at a picnic. The complete set fits in a convenient fabric bag, so the game can be easily taken with you and instantly deployed even when traveling, as soon as the road gets boring.

In the Wild Jungle, you will have to rely on sharpness of feelings, attentiveness, observation and reaction speed, because it is these qualities that ensure survival in such difficult conditions.

A cool head and a steady hand are two things you need to keep in this game. Do you think it's easy when all this is accompanied by bouts of hysterical laughter?

There are two main elements in the Wild Jungle game - a wooden totem, which is placed in the middle of the table, at which up to 15 people can sit (and even this is not the limit), and cards equally divided among all participants.

The goal of each player is to be the first to get rid of their cards. During the game, the participants take turns revealing one card at a time. As soon as two of them have the same top cards, their task is to be the first to grab the totem and shout “hooray!” (the latter is optional). After all, the loser takes all the open cards of the winner. You understand that dynamism in such a game is over your head.

But not everything is so simple. You can't go far on reflexes alone. For example, there are cards that are similar, but ... a little different. And if you do not turn on your head in time (and you need to do this constantly and quickly), then it is likely that you will be the first to grab the totem and take all the open cards to the delight of the other players. Don't want to be that unfortunate poor fellow? Be careful!

Of course, the rules are not limited to these, but let the rest be a pleasant surprise.

If you like to have fun and noisy time with family and friends…

If you value board games where the fastest, most attentive, most dexterous wins...

If you like bright and colorful games with cards and unusual props…

Then the game "Wild Jungle" was created especially for you!

This compact cardboard box has everything to turn an ordinary quiet evening into a fun and noisy competition for speed and sleight of hand, and feel like real savages from a tropical tribe. No wonder, because you need to compete not for anything, but for an old wooden totem!

And if you are a very wonderful person, that is, you immediately notice everything, then you have every chance to win this competition!

Learning the rules

When you open the box with the game, you will find very unusual items inside: a bag covered with ethnic patterns, and a wooden totem, perfectly polished, pleasant to the touch. And in the box there is a very prosaic item - a book with the rules of the game. This is where we recommend you start.

At first glance, the rules of the game may seem complicated. At least, when my four-year-old son and I began to figure out what was happening, our enthusiasm initially faded.

But the style was played once or twice, as everything became very simple and clear. And although the age of the participants is indicated on the box as 7+, a five-year-old child can easily cope, especially if he plays with adults.

Let's start the game!

The essence of the game is extremely simple: all cards (and there are 80 of them) are divided equally by the number of participants. For example, four. The cards are face down. The totem is placed in the middle.

Let's start. Players must take turns opening their cards and carefully look at the opponent's cards: is there a match in color or pattern?

If two players have the same picture, the one of the two who grabbed the totem first wins.

The overall goal of the game is to get rid of all your cards.

And the cards, what cards! To be honest, I love this game for the visual pleasure alone. I can endlessly look at the pictures, they seem to hypnotize and attract the eye. Especially now, in the gray dank autumn, when the psyche desperately misses bright and warm colors...

"Complicators"

Why is the age of participants recommended from seven years old, if the rules of the game are so simple? It's all about the nuances and "complications" (our personal term with my son). You can play with them if the company consists of adults. You can play according to a simplified scheme if there are small children among the players.

"Complicators" are special cards on which arrows are drawn. These cards are of three types.

Map "Colored Arrows". This is a traffic light card that changes the rules of the game. By default, the game begins with the participants tracking the match of the pattern on the cards. And it doesn't matter what color it is. But after the appearance of "Colored Arrows" in the game, you need to track not the pattern, but the color!

Now the drawing can be completely different, but if two players open cards with drawings of the same color, a speed duel begins immediately! Yes, it is important to remember that the effect of the Colored Arrows card is temporary and ends after the first duel or the opening of any other card with arrows.

Map "Arrows out". When it is revealed, all players must quickly and simultaneously reveal the top card in their deck.

And, of course, quickly react and grab the totem if one of the opponents has a matching card.

Arrow inside card. Another check on the speed of reaction.

As soon as this card is revealed, players need to urgently grab the totem. The one who first takes possession of this artifact gets the opportunity to get rid of his already discarded cards, which means that he is much closer to winning the game.

A fun gambling game for the speed of 7 years. Number of players from 2 to 15. The more the better. The cost of the game is 1090 rubles (September 2015)

Alternative way to play

When my son and I get tired of playing "Wild Jungle" by the rules, we start to act like hooligans and come up with our own versions of the game, just to keep these elegant and bright pictures out of our hands for a longer time.

For example, with these cards it is very convenient to play Memory. If you want a simpler game, you need to choose pictures from different series - circles, loops, ornaments, peas, rhombuses.

If you want something more complicated, then you need to sort all the cards with variations of the same theme.

For those who have read at least one article on anthropology, it's no secret: the main thing in this life is to grab the totem in time. Then you can - depending on the laws adopted in your tribe - declare yourself president, get the biggest banana, or get rid of unnecessary cards by throwing them to your opponent, and thereby get closer to the desired victory. The main thing is not to lose the last loincloth in a fit of excitement...

Law of the jungle

At the “entrance to the jungle”, each player receives his pile of cards (the deck is divided equally among all participants), after which the players in turn open the top card and put it next to their deck - so that everyone has the opportunity to see the opened symbol. Look closely at the image that appears. Are there any other such open cards? The move moves on to the next one. Notice the similarity? Now the fun begins.

Duel in the pampas

If two or more players have the same symbols at the top of the open deck, it's time to grab the totem - a mysterious wooden contraption placed in the middle of the table. Having managed to do this, he can pass his open deck to slower players with peace of mind. And here you will need all the dexterity, all the reaction speed and tenacity of the fingers that we inherited from the monkeys: after all, passing an unnecessary deck to your neighbor is the only way to win in these harsh tropical forests.

From monkey to Einstein

Of course, if the Jungle Speed game was limited only to this, it would be possible to win it by simply practicing well in grabbing all sorts of different objects. But the Wild Jungle has some very strange cards in store for its visitors and some additional rules. Therefore, the participants in the game will have to use not only the opposing first finger, which provides a lightning-fast and strong grip, but also the intellectual capabilities that evolution has provided them.

The jungle is calling!

Whatever environmentalists say, the jungle is still a very hospitable area - this game can accommodate a company of tourists from 2 to 15 people. Recommended by manufacturers for children over 6 years old, it is really designed as an educational game - developing, of course, first of all, reaction speed. However, anthropologists report that much older comrades willingly look into the Wild Jungle - in order to indulge in truly shamanistic practices: laugh uncontrollably, tease their neighbor and perform ritual victory dances over the deck of a defeated enemy.

The game will definitely come in handy:

  • At a children's holiday, the participants of which must be thoroughly entertained, and at the same time thoroughly tired;
  • At a youth get-together where everyone is looking for fast-paced and fun entertainment;
  • At a meeting of the Anthropology Department, where highbrow theorists are long overdue for a terribly funny practice.
